Food tastes good, but ketjap chicken in a roti roll???? There really should be curry chicken in it, not even a piece of cucumber in it? And unfortunately often closed so it is not worth going. After so many years of existence, something really needs to be done, don't look but eat, because it doesn't look fresh

Last Wednesday I was standing in front of a closed door. Nothing was indicated on Google. It is already hell to get here because of the renovation at the yellow bridge and on the main road. There was a piece of paper saying that they would open again today, May 28. Today I am leaving for a few days to Germany and wanted to take rotis with me so that we would not have to think about dinner for 2 days. The intention was to drive straight to Germany after picking them up at 10:00. They changed the note that they are closed for another week. This is unprofessional! Drove for nothing again and with a loaded car full of suitcases, back home again, waiting for a roti place to open somewhere else. We need a last minute dinner and all other restaurants only open around 16:00. Could have been in Germany by then!

I think Roti is the best in Utrecht, Joyce and other staff are always friendly and kind. Have been coming to Prem since 1983, through colleague at the Rabobank on Jacobstraat, Chester Bleden. Left Rabobank in 2000 and went to work in Amsterdam, but still visit Joyce. Pom sandwich, chicken sandwich, shrimp sandwich, roti in many variations, everything equally delicious, so definitely recommended.

I have been coming here since 1978. My first introduction to Surinamese food. On the hood of my then buddy's white American sled. The curry stains never went away. At the time I lived in rooms in Beverstraat. 36 years later we still come there regularly. My children grew up with it and are also a regular at home. We also feel a bit like family. 😍

It doesn't get better than this, incredibly tasty sandwiches and friendly owners.

Haven't been in a long time, but Tropisch Huis Prem is hands down the best Surinamese sandwich shop in Utrecht and perhaps in the whole of the Netherlands. For me there is only one place for black pudding and that is Tropisch Huis Prem. Man, man, man, what a glory that is! Go see and taste it!

The best Surinamese sandwiches I have found after 4 years in Utrecht. They have become quite expensive. But yes, I do pay for quality. Expect a line in the afternoon hours. And if you don't want a 'panini', you have to tell them before they heat your sandwiches.

Gewoon hele lekkere Surinaamse broodjes en vriendelijk personeel. Rond lunchtijd kan het druk zijn dus heb geen haast of kom op een rustiger tijdstip.

Kom speciaal voor bloedworst, in Amersfoort nergens te verkrijgen....keep it up!

Heerlijke broodjes voor goeie prijs. Hoeveelheid kip/vis op het broodje is zeer royaal.

Het eten is lekker, de roti was met filet. De kluifjes waren op en de lekkerste kip zit toch tegen de botten. En doe die bakjes wat voller graag, ik heb 13 Euro betaald.

Het is jammer dat het er altijd zo stervensdruk is… Anders kwam ik er vaker! De broodjes zijn heerlijk, de kip, de garnalen… en ook de roti is een aanrader! De porties zijn ook prima. Al jaren vaste klant.

Heerlijk eten. Al meer dan 40 jaar! Wel voor afhalen. Het is een piepklein winkeltje, waar je heerlijke broodjes en roti kan halen. Je moet wel geduld hebben. Het is er zaterdag altijd vreselijk druk!

The shop has a local atmosphere. We needed to wait in a que, which I believe is the greatest sign and proof of the quality being offered. The personal was nice and the roti was great!

Wat een misser, deze kip roti van Prem. Zo zout heb ik roti nog nooit gegeten. Vroeger was Prem echt een topper met hun roti. Nu was het zo zout dat ik het heb moeten weggooien... Verder waren de aardappels tot moes gekookt... Nee geen aanrader

Lekkerste roti die ik ooit heb geproefd! Kip kerrie, geplozen kip en de rundvlees zijn mijn favoriete. Woon niet in de buurt van Utrecht dus kom er jammer genoeg niet elke week 😋 maar zodra ik een klus heb in Utrecht rij ik meestal wel even langs. Personeel is aardig en altijd mooi om te zien hoe ze in de keuken te werk gaan, zaak niet al te groot maar je voelt je wel meteen welkom als je binnen stapt.
