Brasserie Roezemoes in Wijk 21 Oude Haven

Upon entering, you feel unwelcome; the staff don't even notice you. They're constantly behind the bar, their backs turned, on their phones. They even walk around the restaurant with their phones in hand. Very bad. The food was good, though.

Always go there for breakfast (uitsmijter ham kaas). Friendly employees, quiet and nice. Much better than where it used to be in Amsterdam North.

The tastiest carpaccio in the whole of the Netherlands! You won't find carpaccio as good anywhere else. The quality of the food is always top-notch, even after multiple visits. Friendly staff, plenty of selection, and a beautiful location in Zaandam. Highly recommended!

Wij hebben drie broodjes besteld. Eerst kregen we het verkeerde broodje,we hadden gevraagd om een broodje geitenkaas maar kregen een panini geiten kaas .Wij hebben hem terug gestuurd. Kregen wij de geiten kaas van de panini afgeschraapt en op het broodje gedaan.?! verder vonden we in de anderen broodjes 2 haren bediening keek niet heel vrolijk en werd zelfs meer chagrijnig door het terug sturen van het broodje Vroeger was dit echt een top tent maar nu echt een teleurstelling.

We enjoyed fantastic meals at Brasserie Roezemöes in Zaandam, including a delicious eggs, mushroom, and cheese omelet for breakfast. While the food, atmosphere by the water, and location near the Zaandam monument were excellent, the true standout was our server, Jada. She provided absolutely exceptional service knowledgeable, genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, and incredibly warm. Jada handled everything seamlessly, made perfect the drinks pairing recommendations, and even thoughtfully assisted with small details unnoticed. She has transformed our breakfast into truly memorable experiences.

Roezemoes restaurant is located near Zaadam train station in the Netherlands. The food is very delicious. The beef sandwich is made with fresh beef. It is recommended that you share it because the portion is large. The beef burger is very delicious.

We had lunch here and were very satisfied. The schnitzel, the burger and the fried potatoes were super delicious! Unfortunately the background noise is very loud, which is why we won't be coming back.

We were very well received by a very smiling waitress! The dishes are generous and very well cooked. We paid €39.10 for two which is reasonable. The atmosphere is great on the terrace almost by the canal.

Zojuist superlekker en betaalbaar gegeten. Ik had gerookte zalm vooraf, die was erg lekker, vervolgens een varkenshaasje met brie, die erg mals was en precies goed gebakken. Met heerIjk gebakken aardappeltjes en lekkere salade. Daar zat alleen er beetje weinig dressing op, vond ik, want mijn vriendin vond het meer dan genoeg. Dus dat is erg persoonlijk. Maar toen ik erom vroeg, kreeg ik zonder problemen wat extra. Personeel was ook erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Jammer dat we zo ver weg wonen, anders kwam ik vast vaker.

Food is delicious, staff slow with the drinks. Sometimes even catty when you have to ask for it again.

Helaas hebben wij een slechte ervaring.De sliptong die we hadden besteld waren super klein en dun. Verder zat er alleen een schep groenvoer bij en dat voor € 29,00. De friet moesten we apart betalen dus er kwam nog €2,00 bij. We weten dat sliptong klein is, maar dit was echt geen € 29,00 waard. Op de vraag waarom er geen sausje bij de vis kon kregen we als antwoord dat dat er niet bijhoort. Later werd aan een andere tafel wel een sausje bij de vis geserveerd. We hebben aangegeven dat het eten erg tegen viel voor die prijs. Het antwoord was ‘jammer’.

De medewerkers waren niet vriendelijk of behulpzaam. We vierden de verjaardag van onze vriendin, en ze brachten de taart naar onze tafel in de tas zonder deze uit te pakken of kaarsjes erop te zetten. Terwijl er in hetzelfde restaurant een andere verjaardag werd gevierd, kreeg die persoon de taart met een kaars erop en zongen ze voor hem het verjaardagslied. Dit vind ik erg storend.

The place itself is pretty good looking, the seats are comfy and all, but the waitress was to say the less not so carefull (pressing us to command fast and visibly annoyed by our presence, we were almost alone in the restaurant). The dishes were ok but mostly made of frozen/industrial food. Overall not very bad but would not recommand.

An excellent restaurant right in the center of Zaandam, close to shops and good hotels, with a calm and cozy atmosphere. I ordered the three-course menu with a starter, main course and dessert. The food was delicious, and the dishes were served at the perfect temperature. I would definitely come back again!

Second time we have had a very bad experience here. There is a bald waiter who has been quite rude and unprofessional. One time he didn't want to bring tap water for the children, he said he would make an exception for someone who ordered wine but not for children. We had ordered a large lunch for 4 people so it wasn't because we hadn't ordered anything. And the second time he just didn't ask us for our order for a very long time, he served 4 other tables before us, while I was waiting there with 2 children. Maybe he hates children or something, but anyway, I certainly never want to have anything to do with that gentleman. It's a shame because we live close by and came here often, just because there were some very sweet women who always worked there and were always very nice and professional.

Staff more than unpleasant. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. and the first thing I was told was “we close at 9 p.m.”. No hello, no card, nothing. We wanted to ask for a card in English and the young woman never came to see us; she had something else to do (there were 4 customers Friday evening).

Nicely decorated place, food was tasty. But with these staff this place won't survive long (Fri 8-11). The smallest lady is not friendly or helpful, radiates disinterest and does the minimum for customers. Both ladies make a LOT of noise collecting and putting away crockery and cutlery, in addition to the music being played loudly. When customers come in, they look at the clock while the kitchen is still open for 95 minutes. I've seen 6 people leave because of this.

Food was fantastic! I had the club sandwich with salmon (I forget the exact name); was super tasty, and the homemade iced tea was also good. It's just stacked pretty thick (the sandwich, not the iced tea xD) and therefore difficult to eat, but I think that's how it has to be :D In addition to Dutch, the map is available at least in English; I don't know German because I asked for a place directly in English and was given the English card.

Tijdens het hoofdgerecht maakte mijn bonus moeder opmerking dat haar biefstuk?, een onderdeel van de chef's special, gaarder was dan verwacht. Toen viel het me op dat er bij het serveren geen rekening was gehouden met wie rare en wie medium rare had besteld. Daarnaast was er onduidelijkheid over de inbegrepen drankjes. Het menu zei dat bier, fris en wijn inbegrepen waren, maar was niet waar. Dit leidde ertoe dat we constant moesten vragen of een drankje wel of niet inclusief was, om onverwachte kosten te voorkomen. Zo wilde mijn man een alcoholvrij biertje, (dat goedkoper was dan wijn), maar dit viel toch buiten het arrangement. Na het toetje wilden we nog iets drinken, maar het voelde alsof dit niet meer mocht. Na 15 à 20 minuten meerdere keren , door meerdere personen geprobeerd te hebben de aandacht van het personeel te trekken, gaven we het op en besloten we thuis nog iets te drinken. Als ik mensen uitnodig om ergens te gaan eten, wil ik niet dat ze zich bezwaard voelen om te bestellen wat ze willen, door rare regels en uitzonderingen die niet benoemd staan. We komen hier al jaren, maar na deze vervelende ervaring denk ik dat we in het vervolg ergens anders heen zullen gaan.

My husband and I don't eat out often, only on special occasions. We almost always celebrate these moments at Roezemoes. For my 30th birthday I chose to go to Roezemoes with my bonus family and in-laws. I started saving for this six months in advance, expecting it to be a fun evening. Unfortunately the evening was disappointing due to the service. There was a fuss when ordering because my mother-in-law wanted a salad, but this was not possible because the rest had chosen a 3-course menu. Everyone had to take the 3-course menu or pay a lot extra. She reluctantly agreed to participate anyway, so as not to be a burden to the rest of the group. During the main course, my bonus mother commented that her steak?, part of the chef's special, was more cooked than expected. Then it struck me that when serving, no account had been taken of who ordered rare and who ordered medium rare. In addition, there was uncertainty about the included drinks. The menu said beer, soda and wine were included but was not true. This led to us constantly having to ask whether a drink was included or not, to avoid unexpected costs. For example, my husband wanted a non-alcoholic beer (which was cheaper than wine), but this was not included in the package. After dessert we wanted to have something to drink, but it felt like this was no longer allowed. After 15 to 20 minutes of trying several times to get the attention of the staff, we gave up and decided to have a drink at home. When I invite people to eat somewhere, I don't want them to feel burdened by ordering what they want because of strange rules and exceptions that are not stated. We have been coming here for years, but after this unpleasant experience I think we will go somewhere else in the future.

In terms of atmosphere... so so, food is fine. It's a bit of a shame that on top of the price of a dish, additional items such as fries or fried potatoes and sauce, for example, have to be paid separately.

Very poor service, they closed early due to staff shortages! They can't do anything about it, but you are simply refused to eat something for the 2nd time! We won't see them there again!

I came across this place very by chance, from the outside you wouldn't think it's so cozy inside. We were served with a smile from start to finish by the lovely Mandy and Daisy. Although 2 of them are responsible for the bar and service, everything runs smoothly with perfect waiting times between dishes. The owner himself works in the kitchen from which delicious dishes are produced! Price quality is more than top! We will definitely come back!

Had a delicious 3 course menu, the allergies of my 1 year old were also well taken into account and they thought along with us about the possibilities. The staff was very friendly, they helped quickly and well and the food was delicious. Highly recommended! It also looks beautiful and well cared for on the inside and has spacious and clean changing facilities for the little girl. We will definitely come back!

Me and my family came to Amsterdam for the holidays, and we stumbled across this place. The food was amazing, the personnel were very kinda and nice, and the service was fast and efficient. Next time we come back to Amsterdam we will definitely come back here.

Op aanraden van de zeer vriendelijke bediening een upgrade gedaan van 32,-- naar 39,-- p.p. waardoor ook alle drankjes en de koffie inclusief waren (exc. speciaal bieren). Het eten was uitstekend. Er was niets wat tegenviel. De appel tarte tatin was uit de kunst! Mocht je in de buurt van Zaandam zijn: direct naast het station ligt het stadscentrum en met 5 minuten lopen ben je er. Een absolute aanrader.

Unsociable and the staff is grumpy

Lovely restaurant quiet well priced with the three course deal and with the mains you get a really good portion size, would definitely recommend the onion soup and the chef special of the day was the mixed grill the meat was falling off the bone .

Honestly it is not worth it. Bad coffee and average food. I do not know where they get it from brasserie, maybe I have another concept but come on... fast food in any case. The hamburger is not worth the 20 euros and the coffee is really really bad. Disappointing.

I also thought it was a plus that if there are just the two of you, you are not put at a small table for 2 people, but you can sit wherever you want. A 3-course menu for €39.95, so that wasn't too bad. Cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Big restaurant for groups. Employees are not cooperative and you may not share food. You have to order a plate of food per person. There is no discussion possible. We had a friend that recently got operated and couldn't eat anything, so she just wanted to sit with us. We ordered a carpaccio and 2 steaks. Price and quality are somtimes a bit out of range. You do have some cheaper food options, around 15 euros for a hamburger. Food is "ok", nothing special not taste exceptionally good. Felt like everything came out of a pack / ordered from the Sligro.

Incredibly rude woman "greeted" us when we were trying to decide where to eat for the evening. We are tourists from the UK. We were asking about the menus and whether she had a paper menu that we could take away we could take away. She snatched the display menu from my husband as if he was going to steal it! We always come here to have a nice meal and prefer the round table at the back. Today we wanted to go out for dinner with our whole family and we called and specifically indicated (because of the kids) that we wanted to sit at the round table at the back of the restaurant.
