Great burger. Super service. Great location.

We searched for an evening meal and this looked promising. The food (Angus burger) and service was excellent. I would happily return again.

Good food, perhaps a tip for the wait staff: place the coffee or drink down for the person who ordered it instead of us having to pass it to each other. But you are greeted in a friendly manner.

You won't believe what happened to us here… Great location, Vlietzicht, but the service was a real disaster. Our main course hadn't been passed on to the kitchen, so after an hour we finally had to pester someone. No apology, but the food was on its way. Then we ordered dessert… the wrong dessert was shoved in front of us. We couldn't get another dessert because the kitchen was closed. Staff were standing 10 meters away smoking a joint. What a disgrace.

The staff is very tidy; they spot work immediately. It strikes me that there are very few hospitality businesses left where you encounter this.

Had to wait a very long time for the bread, the main course was very small, and we got 2 cones of fries that we had to share among four people. Ordered desserts, but they came in two parts, so some had already finished them and the coffee ran out by then; very meager desserts (though they did taste good). Luckily, we were with nice company. But I certainly wasn't full!!! Maybe fine for lunch, but definitely not for dinner.

The location? Fantastic. By the water, beautiful view… you would almost forget that you also came to eat. And that is just as well, because we had well over an hour to do so. 😂 The service was, to put it mildly, unusual. I had asked for a lemon with my Spa Red. Apparently, that was quite a challenge, because it was forgotten. No problem, it happens. A little later, the waitress came walking over with my lemon anyway, cheerfully clutched between her bare fingers, only to then toss it right into my glass at the table. 🍋 Splash. Service with a personal touch, let's just say. Hygiene is apparently optional. After waiting for over an hour, the food finally arrived. Fortunately, the view is beautiful enough to keep yourself occupied in the meantime. Maybe bring binoculars next time, spot some waterfowl, and turn it into a day out. In short: top location, beautiful by the water, but the service is truly awful. With a place like this, you have struck gold. Now we just need to make sure the wait staff figures that out too.

After waiting for 1.5 hours, we spoke to the waitress about the fact that something was wrong with our lunch and she took us to another table. According to her, that wasn't true. A little later, we spoke to her again. Nothing was done. Only when we asked for the bill was it said that mistakes can be made and that they had now started preparing our food urgently. Absolutely no apology or offer of anything. The hostess was not customer-friendly at all. So, currently, not recommended as a place to go.

It's a shame that it was dirty; tables weren't wiped down, had to ask for it, the table was dusty, dirty stains, chairs covered in bird droppings; it wasn't from just one day. When the staff brought new orders, the dirtier glasses were not taken away. It's a pity, otherwise it's a nice location.

Super cozy and delicious food!!

After a long time (due to a bad experience), we decided to give it another try. We were sorely disappointed. The pontoon terrace was closed. At the table on the left to the wait staff: "That's the second time you've said 'no'!" At the table on the right: "No, we don't have that anymore!" We had a view of a dead little tree and the side of the pontoon. Uninspired staff brought us unpleasant coffee and a stale cookie.

Today, July 29, 2026 (Reserved for 4 people.) Upon arrival at the agreed time, 6:00 PM, with an outside temperature of 32 degrees, RIDICULOUS SITUATION & MISUNDERSTANDING BEHAVIOR by the staff. The 1st terrace boat is closed, and on the 2nd terrace boat, which is open, the tables are in the full sun due to a broken giant parasol. That is unbearable at 32 degrees. On the 1st terrace boat, there are plenty of tables in the shade, but we are not allowed to sit there. Nothing was possible; sitting inside in the sweltering heat was an option, though. We just cancelled and drove to Vlaardingen, where a hospitality business WAS welcoming and made our evening worthwhile. ADVICE... take a customer-oriented business course quickly before it is too late.........

The breakfast was really poor. It tasted like a random single guy made some eggs for himself, not like something from a restaurant.

We had a lovely lunch here. Nice spot by the water, although you really have to reserve a table *right* by the water (on the deck). Part of that terrace was also closed. The food was really very good; the quality of the meat (carpaccio) and the beetroot falafel sandwich (vegan) was outstanding. Portion sizes are more than sufficient. This makes the price-quality ratio good. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side. The service could be slightly better, but they are still young, so you just have to give it some time. All in all, highly recommended!

Nice little spot for a drink and a bite to eat. Situated right along the Vlaardingen Canal where a lot passes by, you are perfectly positioned; it is a great place to hang out!

Tasty food, but not very attentive staff

Fried mussels unbelievably delicious. Chicken satay amazing. Service absolutely top-notch, highly recommended.

We wanted to sit on the almost empty floating terrace, but the waiter told me that all tables were reserved!?! Forced to sit somewhere else, and when we left, the terrace was still 50% empty; a strange and customer-unfriendly reservation system, or did the waiter not feel like walking the extra meters? The prawns were tasty, but unfortunately didn't agree with the digestive tract. A slightly more extensive menu would be recommended, especially for the main courses.. Reserved today from 5:00 PM, nice weather, drinks and food.

Write The location is beautiful, but unfortunately the overall experience is ruined by uninterested staff. Tables remain cluttered with dirty dishes for a long time and the staff are completely unresponsive when taking new orders. The toilet was also dirty. It is a real shame, because this place has a lot of potential, but with a bit more attention to service and hygiene, the experience could have been much better.

I ordered the only vegetarian item on the menu: aubergine lasagna for €21.50, which is quite a high price for some vegetables. A small round dish arrived containing some aubergine slices floating in a tomato mush. What did this have to do with lasagna? It tasted like nothing, and I could have almost sucked it up with a straw, that's how thin it was. This is one of the most tasteless things I have ever eaten, and for that price! I did mention it to the lady who came to clear the plates and asked the standard question about whether everything tasted good, but was this passed on? Next time I'll just order fries.

It was lovely to be able to sit outside. The food was tasty and good. The blankets were fine too. However, what I found disappointing is that you mention two weeks in advance that it is for a 25th wedding anniversary and absolutely nothing is done about it. It's a shame, you come to eat with 9 people anyway. You really miss the mark. We tried again anyway, but nothing has changed. You ask politely if you can sit on the raft, and one was already closed due to a staff shortage????? My daughter sent a polite email but there was no response; that was 6 months ago already. The other floating seating area wasn't possible either because everything was reserved, but that turned out not to be the case upon inquiry when people sat there without having made a reservation. It's a shame there is too little staff, but the people walking around now aren't really customer-friendly either; it's a pity because it is a nice location.

When I sat down at the table and received the cheesecake, it was a measly little piece compared to the one in the display case. It had been a while since we had been here. Especially in the summer on the pontoon, it has always increased significantly here!

Half the terrace is closed off. I suspect this is due to a lack of staff effort. It started raining, but the parasol wasn't allowed to go up. We had to go inside. The staff (80+) don't even help move inside. You have to carry your own plates, cutlery, and glasses... it feels very shabby. The girls behind the bar/serving staff are busy chatting amongst themselves. A lot of dirty dishes remain on the table and on the wooden outdoor bar for a very long time, which attracts vermin. What should/could be a top location unfortunately disappoints us time and again in practice. Inside, it is very noisy and echoes, which does not make for pleasant acoustics.

The food was tasty, but I still have complaints. I posted a bad review yesterday. You see, I have Celiac disease. I asked the wait staff twice if the bread and dill mayonnaise were gluten-free. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The salmon was fine. But incorrect information about the ingredients is a major blunder. I was given a white roll from the toaster; they assured me it was gluten-free, as was the mayonnaise. They won't see me back here again.

Went to this establishment again for a drink and a bite. It is strange that prices are not listed on the cocktail and mixed menu. After paying, I understand why; an Aperol Spritz for €11 is exorbitant. If it were a real one, that would be okay, but this one came straight from a ready-made jerrycan. Read below what the average price would be at a prime location: High-end locations & tourist hotspots: In large cities (such as Amsterdam) or at exclusive locations, some establishments charge €11.00 to as much as €13.00. This is only acceptable if the drink is served in a large designer glass, made with premium brand prosecco, and comes with free luxury snacks (such as olives, chips, or nuts), as is customary in Italy. 2 drinks, crusty bread with spreads, a salad, a portion of fried mussels, and 2 x strawberries with a scoop of wholesale ice cream and whipped cream from a can €100.00. Food average, price above average. The beautiful location does make up for it somewhat, though.

Horrible service. Six young people can’t observe one terrace. Kitchen is very slow. Brasserie is actually very badly organized, I guess the deserve to lose their business.

We used to go often to Vlietzicht for afternoon drinks and bites. Owner has changed and they clearly don’t care about customers anymore. Today, SUNDAY 3:45pm.. they closed the whole terrace of about 20 tables on the boat deck. Reason when we asked the waiter: “we keep the whole terrace for our staff who is going to eat soon, So customers can sit inside or at small table along the walkway !! Seriously???? Not coming back

Very disappointing experience. It seems that the best spots in the restaurant are deliberately kept free for guests who spend more. It was said that the tables were “reserved,” but it is hard to believe that you leave a table empty for 45 minutes when no one shows up. The service was otherwise okay. A young man did some work, but there was also a man walking around who radiated absolutely no energy. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the restaurant is also lacking, and the view is ultimately not special enough to really enjoy it.

The service was terrible. We cannot rate the food because we were unable to order anything. So, we left quickly after just one drink.

While on vacation near Delft, we came across this restaurant. ... A full terrace usually indicates that everything is going well, and it certainly was. Situated by the water with a view, a beautiful terrace, and experienced and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere. We had a delicious lunch there. The Hot Meat sandwich was formidable. ... highly recommended!

After waiting twenty minutes, the order was taken by an employee who didn't look at us and was more focused on his surroundings. After a specialty beer and a mint tea were brought, the tea was lukewarm and couldn't be brewed, leaving us with a lukewarm cup of leaves. When we asked if we could perhaps get better tea, we were told that this was not possible. We paid ten euros and left. It's a shame; we have held various family gatherings there over the past few years that were always fun and enjoyable. But this was a real miss. I hope the old service is found again.

The breakfast was really very disappointing. The “breakfast platter” was very meager: just scrambled eggs with a little salmon or bacon and four slices of white bread. For €14.95, I absolutely do not consider this good value for money. Additionally, the scroppino was not as listed on the menu, but a house version with strawberry. This was not indicated beforehand and was not to my liking. This really needs to be communicated more clearly.

Last year we sailed past in a small boat, and now we're finally going to give it a try. Today is May 1st (Labour Day), so we are not working. Enjoying the sunshine on the terrace. Boats sailing by, people are happy, and the people at Vlietzicht are taking excellent care of our inner selves. Sometimes life is the best.

A very beautiful spot to eat at especially on a sunny day, very nice views, the food was really nice aswell I had a Broodje Pulled Pork and it exceeded my expectations, I also had some fries on the side and they were very nice aswell nice and crunchy, all together the food was amazing its a beautiful spot at eat at and its very peaceful, would recommend to anyone looking for a nice spot to eat 😋👍

Past glory. We just left after waiting 15-20 minutes. No staff member makes eye contact so you can raise your hand. When another group arrived, they were served immediately (literally right next to us). The woman and son sitting at the table behind us had to wait 25 minutes before they could order. We got up and left. Off to the competitor. It's a real shame, because we used to come here regularly last summer. The location, however, is perfect.

Nice place, however, poor service; you have to beg to pay, they apparently don't have time for that. They do have time to cruise around in some round boat you can rent. The youth are what we rely on, fine, but they do need to be led. The youth direct the youth; are the older leaders too expensive? Otherwise, we're still good friends, good luck.

Review update: A lovely place for a bite to eat and a drink, perfect for combining with a stroll during the colder months. The homemade cakes are still delicious. Since then, they've added some new items to the menu and expanded the options while retaining the classics (because what's good is good). But now there's much more that I was personally excited about! Old review: A nice outdoor terrace to sit on when the weather is nice. The pastries, etc., in the display case are all homemade and delicious. The menu doesn't exactly excite me, though. Nothing challenging that makes me think, "Yes! I want to try that." The carpaccio sandwich I finally had was good, but nothing special.

It was mediocre. Lunch for 3 people. All 3 had sandwiches with warm meat. Two people had a sandwich with warm chicken thighs. It was cold. The chicken had no flavor, and the whole wheat bun that was elegantly placed on top was completely empty. No (herb) butter or sauce. But there was also no dressing on the chicken thighs, and no dressing on the 2 pieces of lettuce with 5 diced tomatoes. No dressing...nothing. After complaining about this, we received a free round of coffee/tea with our checkout. That was nice. Maybe we ordered the wrong dish, but "cold" doesn't have to be when the menu says "hot." Otherwise, a very nice location.

Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location. The price-quality ratio is a bit excessive. Nearly €16 for a cappuccino and over €22 for a hamburger seem a bit high to me. Even a single satay skewer for almost €19 is simply excessive. It seems like the beautiful location plays a significant role in the price-setting.

The four of us had a lovely dinner out today. We drove here, which was a bit nerve-wracking because it's a very narrow road to get here, which is a drawback. I'd probably recommend cycling. The service was friendly and fast. The food was partly delicious; I had a hot meat sandwich and my partner had a spicy chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. My parents had a 12-hour meal, and apparently, it wasn't very good. The soup, in particular, wasn't very good; it lacked flavor and tasted watery. They mentioned this to the staff, who said they would mention it to the chef. However, it is a very beautiful area, and in the summer, it would be a lovely place to sit and have a drink or a meal.

Just a quick bite to eat and a drink on a Friday afternoon, last September 5th. We received a friendly welcome, that was all. Three employees were chatting happily inside, paying no attention to new guests. Cups, plates, and glasses from previous guests were left behind, which the wasps present appreciated. We sat for 20 minutes on a nearly empty terrace, which is a shame if you want to generate some revenue.
