Had to wait a very long time before they came to take the order. People who ordered after us received their food earlier. I sat in the restaurant for almost 2 hours just to eat one pancake.

Hi, today we stoped by and had coffee and cake and as we were a big group one person paid the bill. However looking at the bill now I see you charged 7€ for a flat white coffee. Is this really the price? I am very much shocked by this price for one coffee.

The 12 hours are very bad in terms of quality and quantity. The soup that was served with it (vegetable) was bland. Can be dissolved with salt, but no soup taste was recognisable. Warm water with vermicelli and 1 large ball. Furthermore, it was unpleasantly spicy. Toast was burnt on one side, cheese was very tasty. Children's pancake was dry, we suspected it had been warmed up. Outer edge burned at the bottom. For our last time Sonnetje. Quality is no longer what it used to be.

Been coming there for years and it remains one of the best pancake restaurants in the region, the food is excellent and the service is excellent, and if it's your birthday the service is absolutely great, a special thank you from my daughter who thought it was fantastic and a big paw from the dog because she was also very welcome, highly recommended thnxs for the nice evening, keep it up

Delicious pancakes, friendly service, cozy atmosphere, cold but otherwise great space for the kids to play. We were offered a drink from the company, because the sandwich for my son arrived a little late, which was really nice!

Het Sonnetje is an established name in Maasland, known for its delicious pancakes. However, the price-quality ratio has been declining for years. The house pancakes are sparsely filled, portions are small. It is often very busy so you sometimes have to wait a little longer, but that in itself is not a big deal. Management often walks around the place angry, very inhospitable, but luckily you as a guest have nothing to do with that.

Atmosphere only three stars. That's only because it was very quiet, we were late and almost alone in the restaurant. For the rest completely fun and delicious.

We had made a reservation for 4.45 pm, but after asking 3 times we did not receive the pancakes until an hour later. The food was fine, but it was more than clear that we were always forgotten. Even though we were almost the only ones outside, that obviously shouldn't happen. Certainly not because I had to visit 3 times and after the 1st reminder they still did not keep a close eye on us. We therefore did not have dessert anymore because we had to wait/sit for far too long. We created a cozy and fun atmosphere ourselves :)

Food was delicious, service absolutely fine and friendly staff. But the play area is far reaching and not child-friendly at all. Finished with wooden panels and broken play equipment, this is really not possible.

In addition, we had made a reservation very early, namely at 4:15 PM because of small children. But it wasn't until 6 o'clock that we had finished our main course, even though we hadn't even chosen a starter, apart from a herb butter baguette. Me and the children had seen it by then, there was no point in having to wait another half hour for a desert. The burger tasted very good as always. But I really miss something on the side, like some salad as before. Areas for improvement? Speed ​​in the kitchen and attentive staff. But no, I won't be back. Had to wait way too long even though we had made an early reservation.

The location is great...lovely outside in the sun. The drink came quickly...the farmer's pancake took more than 50 minutes. Big apologies...the order did not go through. In the end we didn't have to pay for the 2 pancakes that came more than 1 hour later. She tasted delicious! That made up for everything and because we were sitting comfortably we thought it was a nice compensation.

Had lunch here with a friend this afternoon, August 11. Good parking, a beautiful garden terrace with shade and sun. The service was very friendly and fast. You were seen and approached by them. My bacon and cheese pancake was absolutely perfect. Well cooked, well topped and generous in size. My wife and our friend both had a goat's cheese salad. A large goat cheese salad with fresh and beautiful ingredients. Add a cup of tea and fresh orange juice and we had a perfect lunch. This is a nice place to come back and have a nice lunch or dinner. Highly recommended.

Farmer's pancake was super delicious. Well filled. Steak with mushroom sauce was also good. Unfortunately the coffee was not hot. Later again.

We had the chicken wrap and the pancake brie with honey (French pancake) and one with Nutella and fresh fruit. Also we got some bread with butter. Everything was really tasty ;)! Highly recommend this place! And definitely try the French pancake 👍🏻

Received lunch from my daughter for Father's Day. Table reserved for 4 people at 12.30 and 1.30 no food yet. Larger groups of about 12 to 14 people came in after us. 2 p.m. still no food and they kept saying it was coming. 2:05 PM the larger groups received their food. Next to us there was a table with 3 people, and we asked again how long it would take. You are the next ones, well you guessed it, the table with 3 people got their food. 2.20 pm nothing yet and they said it is being made now (our food) We immediately left and complained to the manager, who gave the reason that they were having problems with the computer system. I said we had never had to wait so long for food and that wasn't their only problem. Good luck with your policy, but you won't see us here any more. Oh yes, for the inconvenience we received a drink on the house. Made a reservation and two hours later still nothing, which was a joke.

Not recommended. Contrary to other reviews here, our food did arrive quickly (we ordered using the QR code on the table) but perhaps a little too quickly because my wraps were still frozen on the inside! After a second attempt they were well done, but still a shame so ready-made and also dry and tasteless. The children's fries and pancakes were tasty. The table next to us waited 1:20h for their food, the children there were in tears of hunger and boredom, really sad. The waitress was very friendly! Almost every table received a make-up for either waiting too long or having a bad meal. They made it a lot of fun for the children, there was a playground inside and there was even a mascot walking around, never experienced that before, but fun for the kids! And everyone received a small gift with the pancake, their evening couldn't have been better.

Photo says enough. In the end I was compensated by the person at the cash register, but at first the waitress didn't want to do anything for me. Situation explained I was able to have lunch with my granddaughter quite late, because several businesses were closed. Finally ended up at Het Sonnetje. There was a large family next to us who also placed an order. So it took a while before we got our pancake. Granddaughter was happy and ate her pancake eagerly. I was already hungry myself, and was a little disappointed with the edge of my pancake. But pulling gives life, so I cut off the much too brown edge. Didn't want any hassle. While eating the pancake, more and more doubts arose. Just not burnt, but not really tasty either. Against my better judgement, I ate forever and ever. I showed it to the waitress. The comment I received was that I wish I had said it sooner. Even though I had explained the situation. Afterwards I thought, she shouldn't have even served it. At the checkout I was asked how I liked it. When I just showed the photo, she said, this is not allowed. It has not been calculated either. So hopefully it will be a sunny experience again. Because my previous visit with mother-in-law and family for high tea was completely different. But not many stars for now.

Nice location, especially nice outside. Service neat and friendly. The food, however, is not that good. Especially considering the average price of €16 for a filled pancake, you expect something good. Pancakes seem undercooked, mealy in the middle. Moderately invested. Because the cheese is the last ingredient on all pancakes, they all look the same. Steak dark brown on the outside, raw on the inside, tough and therefore not medium rare. It's all a shame because it does look inviting and could have potential.

Food and service are good, only at noon the menu says sandwich, but you get small white rolls. In my experience that was disappointing.

Very long waiting times for very simple dishes. There is no control at all on the terrace while the tables are numbered. Then stale bread and very dry, cold bread. The problem was resolved well by the friendly service.

Celebrated my mother's birthday here. It was fun but the food was not great. Firstly, it took a very long time for food to arrive. Pancakes did not seem fresh but reheated and therefore hard. The fries as a side dish were very few and plates were not nice made up. 1 order was not served at the same time as the rest. When it arrived it was also the wrong one. But left it that way. All in all not a highlight.

Service varies. There were 2 people walking (lady and gentleman) who were hospitable and friendly, but also a number who didn't seem to feel like it. The menu could also use a freshening up.

Naar mijn mening mag het niet eens We bestelden een uitsmijter naar keuze , naturel,kaas,spek met ham prijs 9,95 .zo staat het op de kaart !! onze keus spek met ham en twee chardonnay a 4.75 perstuk. Bij elkaar 29,40 Dan krijg je de rekening euro 36.40 Wat blijkt , dat je spek , ham apart betaald .Er hoort dan niet te staan naar keuze , maar meerprijs voor extra , dan naturel ! Hoop dat u kaart aanpast !!! Hij smaakte verder prima Maar als je 7,60 meer betaald , toch erg groot verschil !

Het eten is goed en de bediening redelijk. De sfeer moet je zelf maken. Wij zaten in de serre en dat is een beetje koud. Je kan ook kiezen om met mooi weer buiten te eten. Wij hebben buiten wel wat gedronken.

Lekkere pannenkoek gegeten, kinderen konden leuk spelen in het overdekte speeltuintje. Service was niet heel snel voor een half vol terras.

Heerlijke pannenkoeken en je kan de pannenkoek zelf samenstellen als je dat wilt.

Uitgebreide kaart. Ook andere dingen dan pannekoeken. Personeel heel erg jong. Druk vol terras, dus langer moeten wachten. Ruimen niet uit zichzelf op, pas als je afgerekend hebt. Komen tussendoor ook niet vragen of je nog wat wil drinken. Eten gewoon goed.

Veel ruimer dan we in eerste instantie dachten of zagen, leuk winkeltje met een mooi assortiment eten en drinken. Jammer dat we geen koelbox bij ons hadden. Komen zeker terug om heerlijk bbq vlees te gaan halen.
