Best piece of meat I've ever had! I can recommend the dry-aged côte de boeuf to everyone.

A lovely place to sit, especially if you're traveling with small children. They can play there to their heart's content, and you can keep a close eye on them. Friendly staff who are also up for a bit of fun. Delicious food and drinks.

We ordered the BBQ platter for two people. It was an absolute disgrace. The meat in the first course was completely dry, felt like it had been forgotten in the smoker for days. Marinade on the spare ribs? None. And only three measly ribs on the plate. No, not per person, for both of us. We then had to wait over 45 minutes for the second course. That too was a complete failure. At a generous estimate, 100 grams of steak to share for two. But then there was plenty of cheap belly meat with two-thirds of the fat on the edge. The meat here too was dry and the fat on the edge was slimy. I can't remember ever having eaten worse. I definitely can't confirm the previous reviews. Charging 80 euros for this is a disgrace. I don't give it a bravo.

A lovely spot for families. It's pleasantly busy, with beach sand for the little ones right next to it. You can keep a close eye on it from the terrace.

Cozy place, excellent service: friendly and fast

We went for dinner three nights in a row during our vacation. The fact that we went three times speaks volumes! We had a wonderful meal on the terrace, and the little one had a blast in the playground. Perfect! We'll definitely be back when we're on Ameland, thank you!

I (a single mom) had a wonderful meal here with the boys (11 and 2). We'd already had lunch here once before, with toasted sandwiches and mini pancakes. Later that week, we had dinner. My youngest was acting like a typical 2-year-old at the time, and the staff were very patient with her. I checked to see if the food was ready and didn't seem to mind (though I did, of course ;)). The food was delicious; my oldest had spare ribs, and I had a veggie burger! The playground next door is also a big hit! This wonderful beach bar is a must-see on Ameland!

Despite the crowds, service was fast and with a smile. Very child-friendly, and the food was delicious.

Delicious food, the brisket melts in your mouth.

When making a reservation, they asked if anyone had an allergy, yes I do! A deadly peanut allergy. You would think that would be noted and taken into account when ordering food. Someone in the group ordered creme brule, which came with vanilla ice cream. I would eat that and the other person would eat their creme brule. When the food arrived at the table, it turned out that there was a cookie in the vanilla ice cream. Yummy! A cookie that looked like it was pure sugar. Oh no, wait, there were peanuts in it. Aww, now I'm puking while having trouble breathing. And the menu? No mention of this; "crème brûlée. Classic style - vanilla ice cream." I took a small bite of this cookie because I tasted that there was something of a nut in it. If I had eaten the cookie with ice cream, I might not have even noticed. This restaurant is located on a beautiful island without a hospital. Of course I have an epi pen, but the extra time I would get with that might not be enough to reach the hospital before I pass out or die. What I mean by that is that the restaurant creates a very unsafe situation with this approach, which could put people in danger of dying. At the bottom left of the menu it says that you can inquire about allergens in the dishes. The place where people would least look, and this message is unnecessary because that is the case in principle in every restaurant. Legally, they do not comply with the allergen legislation. Next to some dishes on the menu it says "recommended" or "vegetarian" or both. There is also enough space to put down whether something contains allergens. The servers can also learn it by heart to actively inform, but that, I can imagine, is quite difficult. An adjustment in the design of a menu, on the other hand, is less so. I quote: "According to the allergen legislation, a menu must indicate which dishes contain peanuts, or may contain traces of peanuts. This is important for people with a peanut allergy, so that they can safely choose what they eat." After a short email exchange with the restaurant, I can conclude that they don't care and that they are not going to start doing that. Since they apparently do not take cross-contamination into account, there would potentially be allergens everywhere. Then almost every dish would have to be indicated. Which would of course reduce their custom.

Cozy atmosphere. Nice staff but especially good food👌. And delicious cappuccino with oat milk. Not every catering establishment on Ameland serves it.

What a shame that I only discovered this place on my last day on Ameland! Delicious food (also for vegetarians) and a great dessert! Friendly and fast staff. When it gets a bit chilly; the cushions outside have a heating element. Beautiful place with Ibiza vibes 🤗 Recommended!

Nice restaurant with very good meat dishes. The brisket is recommended! The Don Jacobo Roija from the menu is a delicious red wine to eat with a good piece of meat. The service is attentive and makes the guests feel at home. Recommended!

The atmosphere and service were super cozy and the food really fantastically delicious! It's been a long time since I've eaten so well in a restaurant. I had tenderloin tips from the menu. The meat was tender, soft and delicious in taste and well prepared and the vegetables nice and fresh. Really super top and a big 10 for all the staff! We really enjoyed it and will gladly come back when we are on Ameland again :)

We thought it was simply fantastic!! It started with the seamless welcome and table assignment, very friendly and attentive staff, and stylish decor – just right for a beach restaurant. The meat was simply outstanding!!! Choosing the dishes would have been a bit easier for us if there had been a German translation available for the menu items, but you know how to get by with a cell phone 😉 We would definitely come back!!!

During our holiday we went to Bravo a few times to eat. The food and drinks tasted delicious and the staff is TOP. For anyone looking for a good restaurant on Ameland we can heartily recommend Bravo. For us the holiday on Ameland is almost over but as soon as we are back on the island they can certainly welcome us as guests at Bravo.

Wow! What a great experience our evening at this restaurant was. With 7 adults and 2 small children we had a delicious meal and felt very comfortable. We as Randstad residents (Haarlem residents) can still learn a lot from this restaurant (and the staff) in terms of service, ‘value for money’ and friendliness. We ate the brisket ourselves, it was delicious. The other dishes were also appreciated. Highly recommended, especially if you like BBQ-style dishes!

On my husband's birthday (5 May) I wanted to surprise him with a romantic dinner. I had searched online and this tent looked very cozy and cozy. The food was also great .. the staff MEGA friendly. I should have looked a little further, the restaurant is next to a campsite (which is even part of it), hordes of children flew in and out, regularly hitting the table during their play, taking off socks and shoes and fanning them empty in the middle of the restaurant. (Also says something about the parents). My online booking for a nice, quiet evening was a bit of a miss... but for families this nice restaurant is a paradise (playground next to the restaurant with the terrace attached to it) and that is why I give a maximum number of stars.

Ameland has had another winner in recent years! Good food, nice staff and nice atmosphere. The only disadvantage is that it is so popular that you really need to make a reservation for dinner. But she is very welcome!!

What a nice business and fantastic team that is. And of course the food is also excellent. Why not 5 stars for the food? Because I don't consider myself the right person to judge that. But I do know that I enjoyed it.

Food was great, service was good at the beginning, bad at the end. Consumption for 6 people (2 adults, 4 children!) approx. 170€, we tipped 18€ ☺️ 2 small schnapps on the house were no longer included, ok - next time (if there is one...) then only a 5% tip..

Although the food was very good, the service was unfortunately a big disappointment. My friend ordered a small portion of fries, but to our surprise, other guests who arrived more than half an hour later received their food before her. As a result, we had the feeling that there was no overview or structure in the operation at all. We tried to get the attention of the staff but it seemed like they either completely ignored us or had no interest in solving the problem. When we finally asked where the order was we received an indifferent answer with no apologies. A restaurant can serve the food so well, but if the service is so messy and unprofessional, it ruins the entire experience. I was hoping for a nice meal, but due to the poor service we wouldn't be back anytime soon. Very unfortunate!

The high-priced menu offers promise, but those expecting high-quality cuisine will be disappointed. While the quality of the meat saves points overall, the preparation is very "rare." Therefore, you have to be prepared for the fact that your plate will only deliver what you ordered after several detours through the kitchen. Alternatively, you can settle for a Golf-class meal, even though you're paying for a premium meal.

The food was just really good! I haven't eaten such delicious, tender meat in years. Was with a friend and both enjoyed the food immensely. She had the brisket and I had the tenderloin with pepper sauce. But the potatoes, bread with herb and smoked butter and aïoli and dessert were also very tasty. Had Smores and enjoyed the salted caramel ice cream that comes from the cheese farm in Hollum. Rarely have I tasted such delicious ice cream. We highly recommend this restaurant! The service consists of nice, friendly people and the restaurant also looks nice.

Our first introduction to Bravo was a good one: what a nice place this is! Young, enthusiastic staff, both in the kitchen and in the service, ensure that you feel seen and appreciated as a guest. We chose the bread with dippers as a starter, and as a main course we both had a burger, which was well topped and tasty. One of us had the apple cake with caramel for dessert, which was truly delicious. We did indulge in the potato dippers, but that was not our fault but the dippers' fault. In our opinion, Bravo is highly recommended!

Very pleasantly surprised! The beach bar is located at the end of the Strandweg in Nes. Outside there is plenty of opportunity to have a drink in the sun and inside has the atmosphere of a modern, warm and cozy eatery. As a main course I had the burger Bravo with extra bacon and cheese. Burger had a delicious taste and was served with potato dippers. G*dsakke, how delicious! We quickly ordered another portion of that. For dessert I had the apple cake with caramel sauce and yogurt ice cream. Actually I was already full from the main course but I had seen this dessert and I really wanted to try it. Again delicious! A warm cake with a large scoop of creamy ice cream and caramel sauce made me regret the extra portion of potato dips a little, but oh well .... :-) The service was good, friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended.

Nice, very friendly and flexible service and delicious food! Still managed to get a table on a busy day without making a reservation. Very happy with it and genuinely delicious meat. I never got the impression of being rushed and despite the fact that it was busy, a lot of personal attention. The atmosphere is very good! In terms of layout it could perhaps be a bit nicer, but again there is nothing to complain about. Locations are great and close to the beach!

The name of the restaurant is absolutely correct (Bravo for the food). Nice and friendly service, and we had a delicious meal. Rarely have I had such tasty spare ribs, if you can eat enough I certainly wouldn't hesitate to order the large one (I had the small portion, but I regret not ordering the large one). And for dessert, the fruit sorbet was delicious and the s'mores were also surprising. Definitely recommended if you want to eat delicious food on Ameland.

Super nice place. Nice and modern furnishings, nice atmosphere. Nice service, good portions and all super tasty. Very nice: delicious cappuccino with different plant-based milks. Unfortunately, we haven't encountered much on Ameland yet. Only at the coffee roaster. All in all, highly recommended for a nice drink, lunch or cake here.

The food is nice!!! Well prepared, tasty. The beef tenderloin tips, were not exactly tenderloin, but the taste was nice anyway, along with the side dishes. Good beef carpaccio, with a lovely mix of green salad, cheese etc as a starter. Staff is friendly, but very young and therefore in experienced. They are absolutely very helpful. Prizes are doable. Not cheapz but not extremely expensive also. The lighting of the establishment should be changed. The fluorescent lights in the fridge that show the dried meat is too bright, as are the halogen spotlights in the ceiling. Outside (big tent in front and next to the restaurant) the atmosphere is Much Much nicer. That same feeling should be copied inside. Should we come back to Ameland, this place is definitely on my list of places to visit

BBQ Platters, highly recommended. If you like good meat, and you like to taste different types, prepared on a Kamado grill, such as slow cooked Brisket, pork belly, spare ribs, be careful not to eat your fingers with it . And then the service, from the young staff, nice and relaxed, listening to the guests, friendly and super alert, and one word: Great!

Brisket deliciously tender meat with a crispy edge and delicious cooking, Rib-eye melted in your tongue and spare ribs straight off the bone. Top main courses. Meat is of very good quality. Experience at Bravo has set the bar high for other restaurants on Ameland. We will definitely come back.

Bravo is a very nice restaurant. Close to Nes beach, within walking distance of a large parking lot and a restaurant with delicious food. The service is always friendly. Even when it is busy, the service remains friendly and they do their best to serve ordered dishes and drinks as quickly as possible. The atmosphere is informal and the design of the restaurant is hip. A nice place where we like to eat and we regularly do so during holidays. Definitely recommended!

Great tent! Comfortable seats and excellent service. They have a wide range of tasty beers on tap. But most importantly: the meat and fish are great. So if you are looking for a delicious piece of meat or fish, this is the place to go! Don't forget to make a reservation, because it is often busy. Just go!

Enjoyed the BBQ buffet here on Friday evening. It was so delicious and the choice is huge. A little bit of everything and very tasty. The tastiest soare ribs in Ameland. Delicious salads, fresh fruit and what a tasty BBQ sauce. Staff also very friendly and nice. Previously had a drink here with the sticky fingers net BBQ sauce. We would also like to taste these again when we are back on Ameland. We will definitely come again!

Had lunch with a group at this super nice (almost) beach bar, which was open especially for our group. The lunch package was excellent, and dietary requirements were perfectly taken into account. It was very tasty and the portions were ample. The staff and service were top notch! Definitely worth repeating.
