Definitely worth a visit. Very special food with a superb presentation. We had an à la carte dish (you can also order a surprise menu with several courses) and dessert. The service was very attentive and friendly. For us, the best dinner on Ameland!

Actually a really cute restaurant and the food we ordered was quite good (Fish and bisque were superb) except for the Kids’ food… the Bolognese tasted like mashed baby food. However, the Service was inacceptable! Long waiting, unfriendly and even overcharged us! Would have revisited but not with this service…

Everything was perfect: the atmosphere, the ambiance, the service, and of course, the food—delicious flavors. Highly recommended. A beautiful, atmospheric building.

Ate a very salty bisque. The staff had heard that before, we were told. It is remarkable that nothing was done about it. Fries arrived when the main course was almost finished, a pity. The standard side dishes did not go well with all the main courses. The food was otherwise tasty, but in the end we were a bit disappointed. I think we expected a bit more quality considering the prices and all the rave reviews.

Went for dinner with the 4 of us! Weekend on Ameland with friends! Were received very kindly. Ultimately opted for a 4-course surprise menu! One of us only had meat as he didn't eat fish. We drank two delicious bottles of wine. Good choice on the wine list. The food was delicious good portions! Service was great. Price-quality ratio top… Highly recommended! Good luck next season

I happened to pass by this restaurant and was immediately impressed by the appearance. After reading some positive reviews I decided to drop in. Unfortunately, our experience was somewhat disappointing. The service made some small mistakes, which is understandable, but the soup was way too salty. Fortunately, this was neatly taken off the bill. The wine, main course and dessert were delicious. All in all, my experience was a little less than I had hoped and I found the reviews a bit misleading.

Stayed in ameland for 4 nights and this was by far the best meal of the trip. I wish we went here sooner as I would have happily eaten here every day. We ordered the chefs menu and each course was delicious.

We were lucky to be able to reserve a table for Friday evening at short notice and had a wonderful evening at Witte Paard. The food is delicious, very attractively prepared and the portions are large enough. The service was great - absolute recommendation for a special evening.

Delicious food on the terrace near the village tower of Nes. The quality of the dishes is of a high level while the price is almost comparable to other restaurants in the village. The service is smooth and knows how things should be done. The only downside is that only a bowl of rhubarb was served as a vegetable, but we would love to come back here again.

It had been a while since we had been here and after our excellent experiences earlier, we were curious whether they could live up to our expectations again at Het Witte Paard. Well.....they could! A fantastic 5-course menu with delicious and surprising dishes with an enthusiastic explanation by the service and/or chefs, excellent wine suggestions and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Despite the fact that it was very busy, with all tables occupied both inside and outside, the service (which worked very hard) was "spot-on" and everyone received more than enough attention. I was there spontaneously in the evening and was able to enjoy my menu outside... Very good service, extremely friendly and attentive and then the kitchen 🤩 - WOW! There really is a master chef at the stove - perfectly coordinated, the flavors wonderfully and creatively put together and very attractively presented. There is also a very diverse and suitable wine list. You have to come back ❣️

Remains the best restaurant in Ameland! Ate for the 25th time, the menu has a small variation each time, the toppers such as the strawberry rhubarb always remain. Really highly recommended.

We walked in here without any expectations, but we walked out again after dinner with full enthusiasm. What a good restaurant where everything is just right. Great service, knowledge of products and surprising cuisine. Every course surprised us with taste, products and layout. Not to forget, very good coffee. Definitely recommended!

Been there since I was a child and more than 25 years later it is still a regular stop every time during our time on Ameland. Delicious food, friendly staff and a small old charming place. Highly recommended!

Stopped by again today, February 22, 2024. Kitchen is still at a high level. Price-performance is absolutely OK. How do you say in Dutch? "Een anrader"

Today, December 9, we had a fantastic meal in the Witte Paard restaurant. The service was very good. Fast, friendly and attentive. The food itself was perfect. Always beautifully presented, good in taste and simply very tasty. On the inside, the restaurant resembles a cozy living room in an old Amelander whaling house. We will definitely come back!

Gezellig restaurant. Culinaire keuken Aanrader

Besteld een 4 gangen menu. Ik had zelf een hogere verwachting van het eten. Maar ja dat is persoonlijk. Net niet spannend genoeg. Smaken combinatie vond ik zelf niet altijd correct bij elkaar passen alles bij elkaar genomen te vlak. Vette rode jus met een vrij vlak stukje sucadevlees. Venkel te zout. En voor het dessert was de combinatie ver te zoeken. Duindoorn met citroenijs ? Voor binnen vond ik het te druk.

Pracht locatie met heerlijke gerechten. Service prima. Een echte aanrader als je op Ameland bent.

Alles in Vollendung, Service geht kaum besser, Essen sehr gut, gerade frischer Fisch, Lady Steak könnte mehr Lady Like sein, Wein 🍷 unglaublich lecker, unbedingt vorher reservieren

Heerlijk eten in een prachtige ambiance!

Leuk restaurant, heel gezellig, super personeel. Eten was ook goed. Vond zelf de Coquilles niet zo bijzonder (meer rozijnen dan coquilles en kon de Ximez niet echt proeven). Eendenlever was echt geweldig. Zo zo zo lekker!!! De Iberico was een beetje te doorbakken, maar wel heel smakelijk. De soepjes waren verrukkuluk, net zoals de zeetong, schol en kabeljauw. En echt een heel gezellig restaurant.

Een klein restaurant met een gezellige en warme inrichting. Ruime keuze aan gerechten en wijnen. We wouden hier altijd nog een keer heen na de goede verhalen van anderen gehoord te hebben. We komen zeker weer terug!

Tolles Restaurant, das sich wohltuend von allen anderen abhebt: Klasse Gerichte, top Service und sehr gemütliches Ambiente in der kleinen Stube.

Ein wunderschönes kleines Lokal mit Charme und excellenter Küche. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend mit einer Auswahl an Köstlichkeiten. Selten so gut gegessen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 🤤 Vielen Dank an den Küchenchef es war unvergesslich.

Ein muß für jeden der nach Ameland kommt , das Essen ein Genuss das Ambiente sehr ruhig und gemütlich . Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend Gehobene küche , Preis-Leistung auf jeden Fall gerechtfertigt Immer wieder gerne 😊

Fantastisch. Erg georganiseerd. Het concept is maak een afspraak en je hebt 2,5 uur om te eten. Je ziet echt dat de gasten allemaal exact op aanvangstijd binnen komen en dan is het pats boem ineens lekker gezellig. Service en het eten waren uit de kunst.

Heel gezellig en lekker gegeten! Vriendelijke gastvrouw met goed advies over wijnen. Avond begonnen met een krachtige witte wijn. Ook werd er een broodje met olijfolie en zeezout geserveerd. Het hoofdgerecht smaakte ons allemaal erg lekker! De eendenborst is een aanrader. Hierbij ook een bijpassende rode wijn gedronken, aangeraden door de gastvrouw. Erg lekker! De avond afgesloten met echt Fries Sûkerbrood en duindoornlikeur. Een nagerecht wat naar verluid al 10 jaar onafgebroken op de kaart staat. Erg populair en erg lekker dus😉 Het "key"woord van onze avond, zoals u hierboven heeft kunnen lezen was "lekker". Erg lekker, haha.

Vriendelijke bediening. Tarbot is uitstekend. Alleen jammer dat we voor het dessert van tafeltje moesten wisselen ivm dubbele reservering.

Met geluk nog n plekje aan de bar weten te bemachtigen. Het voelde of we aan de chefs table zaten en hebben enorm genoten van het eten, de drank en het TOPteam!. We kozen het 3 gangenmenu van de chef met bijpassende wijnen. Een dikke aanrader!! Als kers op de taart bleken ze nog Chateau Neubourg uit onze eigen regio van de tap te hebben. Complimenten voor de kok, gastvrouw en de bediening 👌

Heerlijk gegeten. Leuke sfeer. Vriendelijk bediening. Het restaurant werkt in 2 shifts. Wij zaten in de shift van 1730 tot 2000. Iets voor 2000 kregen we van een onbekend persoon (ik denk de eigenaar of kok) de rekening op tafel met de opmerking dat ze de tafel nodig hadden. We zaten net aan de koffie en moesten die snel opdrinken. Dit vonden we niet gastvrij. Een groepje van 4 (die te laat waren aangekomen) vond dat ook en kregen de wind van voren waar alle gasten bij waren. Ze waren immers te laat. Dit kan allemaal wat vriendelijker en deed afbreuk aan de goede service. Je kunt bijvoorbeeld je eerst voorstellen en vragen of alles naar wens was vervolgd door de vraag of de tafel al beschikbaar gemaakt kan worden. We hadden best de koffie aan de bar willen opdrinken indien nodig.

Deze week voor de tweede keer gegeten bij Het witte paard. Het zit er leuk, bediening is goed en de keuken super. Echt een aanrader!

Altij weer een hoogtepunt van ons verblijf op Ameland. Prachtige gerechten met mooie wijnen, heerlijke sfeer en prettige bediening. En glutenvrij is geen probleem!

Das Witte Pard ist unser absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant auf der Insel! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich super. Besonders wenn man es mit den meisten anderen Lokalen auf Ameland vergleicht, die genauso teuer, aber lange nicht so gut sind. Auch der Service und die Atmosphäre sind einzigartig!
