During every stay on Ameland, I always had dinner at "Klimop." Beautiful terrace (but also very cozy inside). Interesting menu, very good food, friendly service. It's hard to find anything better on Ameland!

The food was fine, and the service was friendly and polite. There was almost an hour between ordering a pancake and receiving it, and two 12-hour waits. That's obviously a bit shorter, as other tables had similar wait times, so it wasn't unusual. The food is fine, but if you're trying to catch the ferry, for example, it's not recommended. The total price for food and drinks was also quite high.

The meal was delicious; the duck breast was perfectly cooked. A few more vegetables would have been nice. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

We had a wonderful dinner. The dishes are so beautifully presented and have such unique flavor combinations that it feels like you're dining in a Michelin-starred restaurant, but with the Ameland experience. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff is very friendly. You feel like royalty. The prices are incredibly reasonable for what you get. My main course was 25 euros. Tip: make sure to make a reservation. If I ever visit the island again, I'll definitely be back.

I've visited many restaurants, but this one is truly top-notch! Everything is homemade.

We had a wonderful meal at the Rye Festival. Delicious spareribs. Plenty of attentive staff.

Beautiful, quiet spot in the village of Nes. Lovely terrace, plenty of space. On a friend's recommendation, I ordered the vegetarian strudel. She didn't overdo it. A unique combination of chicory, banana, mushrooms, goat cheese, and a fruit coulis sauce.

The mussels were delicious and the portion was enormous. The daily special was fine, but nothing special. The terrace is a bit lackluster, resembling a dressed-up parking lot. But the enthusiastic service makes up for it!

Seven of us went there for dinner. The service was really great, fast, and very friendly. Unfortunately, for seven main courses and sides, we only received one bowl of fries. When we asked, we were told that large tables would receive the sides together and that we could order more. By the time everyone had their side dishes, the meal was practically over. That was a shame. The food tasted good, though.

We had a great meal with friendly, attentive service. The amount was just right. In short, we'll definitely be back.

The food was good again, and the service was friendly. Prices for the food have gotten quite high these days. There weren't enough fries. You can reorder them, but it took a good 10 minutes, which was a bit too long for me. But we'll be happy to come back.

We didn't think it was worth repeating. It wasn't because of the staff or the decoration, but the food wasn't to our taste. It was good, nothing more. What really put us off was the dessert for 15 euros. It was simply inedible. The cardamom and miso and other "bizzare" flavours were so incredibly overpowering... that they stayed in our mouths for the rest of the evening. There was no coherence... every flavour was too overpowering... too much. And yes, we knew that all those ingredients were in the dessert, but we expected that the creator had come up with a balance and that one would lift or soften the other or something. But even the super salty coconut ice cream wasn't enough to make the abundance of flavours fit together. Brrrr..... I would have taken this off the menu...

Despite it being very busy when we were there, the service was fantastic. The food was also really very tasty. What top chefs are in the kitchen.

It's been a while since I've eaten like this. Delicious catch of the day, together with steak. Whitefish jumped from the North Sea onto my plate with a delicious sauce. The steak made to order with a delicious sauce. The perfect combination of culinary on your plate, atmospheric surroundings like a living room. For the little ones, very good. Will definitely come back!

We had lunch here last summer and this time we wanted to go again because we liked it so much! And this time again more than satisfied. The Moroccan pea soup in particular was really delicious! Cozy place, hospitable and neat.

On Monday, the day the mid-weekers arrive on the island, it is wise to make a reservation at De Klimop for dinner. Full, full, but not too long to wait for the dishes we ordered. Both starters and main courses very tasty. But if something has to be served on a board, don't put a piece of paper on it!

Delicious food in a friendly atmosphere with hospitable and good staff! A fine menu for both vegetarians and meat eaters with classics (spare ribs, schnitzel, Amelander burger) but also more special dishes such as roasted celeriac (which was really very tasty!!) The restaurant is truly 'authentic island' in terms of decor. . Highly recommended if you want to spend a pleasant evening and taste refined dishes.

A cozy restaurant with friendly and hospitable staff. This was our first impression. They thought along with us about a place to sit in the shade and the food arrived on time (this was very important because of catching the boat). The staff was up for a joke and happy to explain things about the menu. They really took time for you. The atmosphere on the terrace and in the restaurant was pleasant. The food was delicious and really fresh! This was a good experience. Highly recommended and definitely worth repeating for us.

Very very very ok cafe restaurant. Quality food, served well and quickly. Local specialties... unknown to the tourist. The interior restaurant is an eye-catcher surrounded by a dedicated team. Center Nes, easy to find, plenty of bicycle parking spaces. Info: car not welcome in the center of Nes...

In a nutshell....GREAT The food was great, the service was very good and the place was super cozy. Unfortunately we discovered it too late, but when we're back on the island we'll come back.

What a nice meal we had here! And of course also very tasty. Nice environment and great staff. There was even a pepper sauce prepared on request with the schnitzel.

Nice meal. Omelet. Almost left my coat hanging on the terrace, over my chair. An observant visitor said something about it. Now I still have it. Also had a delicious meal and paid separately. All no problem. Extensive drinks menu including...Spice Ginger Beer. Good thirst-quenching island drink.

We love it, the ambience, the always delicious food and the extremely friendly staff who care about every guest. It's a must on every vacation!
