I ended up here by chance to have something to eat and it was absolutely not disappointing! I had the prawns (main course) and I was really positively surprised when it was served. Prawns still with tail and head, but stripped of the rest of the jacket with tasty vegetables underneath and in a bath of oil and garlic (certainly not too greasy). Prawns were well prepared and there were definitely more than you would expect. In addition, a bowl of fries which was really enough for me alone and a bowl of delicious homemade coleslaw! I'm not always a fan of those, but I'm definitely a fan of this one. They also have all kinds of tapas and variations of steak on the menu that also looked delicious when passing by. The staff are also super friendly and always keep in touch with their customers to check that everything is to their liking. I don't think you can go wrong with this if you go to Ameland, which is highly recommended in itself!

If you're looking for great sangria, this is the place to go. You can order it by the glass, half a liter, or a full liter. The sangria was a highlight, bursting with fresh, well-balanced flavors that made it incredibly enjoyable. We had a great time overall. The menu has plenty of dinner options, and we tried several tapas, both meat and vegetarian. Every dish was delicious. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. I’d definitely recommend this spot!

I thought the 4.5 bit on the high side steak was good shrimp cold salad was foiled celery salad with raisins

Definitely recommended! We had a delicious meal & the service was cheerful and prompt. All this for a reasonable price. Tip: Cappachio starter is very large and super tasty.

Food was very disappointing: fairly flat, nothing surprising, basic, not more. Melon (Tapas) was not even ripe. Also food was slow although restaurant was not busy when we were there.

We went to the restaurant for dinner and weren't very impressed. For a tapas bar the offer (8?) was quite poor and it didn't really taste 🇪🇸. About the atmosphere this Saturday evening: Initially there was only a small group of rockers sitting outside the restaurant. A short time later there was a large group of rocker types who had obviously just come to the bar to drink socially. It's a shame for our last evening on Ameland, especially since the innkeeper obviously knew the group. I rarely write negative reviews. But that evening the innkeeper didn't really think about his guests.

Delicious food, but the tapas menu could be bigger. Also, many dishes are not necessarily Mexican, but really good. Gambas were highly recommended. Good portions of mushrooms and calamari. The salmon as a main course was very tasty! For the cocktail lover: one of the best pornstar martinis ever had! Service was fast and good. Highly recommended for a nice evening in the middle of the village.

While strolling through Nes, we noticed Amigo, who had appeared for us new among the greats Nes Café and van Heeckeren, who we knew well from numerous Ameland stays. The fact that for some unknown reason there wasn't much going on didn't stop us from booking a table for the evening. The booking was already received very friendly. The service in the evening was very friendly and spoke good German, the food was more than plentiful (burgers, tapas and spare ribs) and tasted great. When we paid, we were more than satisfied and satisfied and noticed that the Amigo had not joined the almost crazy price gouging of the big Ameland top dogs, but was still charging “normal” restaurant prices... We give a clear recommendation…👍🏻👍🏻

Nicely decorated restaurant with friendly service. Too bad that the 3-course menu included satay (it is not Spanish and is not part of it if you want a Spanish appearance). Unfortunately the bruschetta was not good (weak bread, and not crispy). The rest of the food was fine. Cheesecake was very tasty.

What a delightful establishment! Enthusiastic staff who really know their stuff. Starter top, main course top! Super tasty food! I really don't understand why other establishments are busier than this restaurant. Had dinner at Rixt the night before, it was good, but couldn't match the quality of Amigo! When we are back on the island, we will definitely eat here again!

Tonight the two of us had dinner here. Tapas starters were delicious and nice portions. The main courses were even tastier, beautiful pieces of meat prepared just right. The service is very friendly. All this with the nice decoration of the restaurant made it a very successful evening.

Good food, nice service, we did get different shrimps with the second round of tapas, announced in advance. Unfortunately we didn't like it as much, but someone else might not.

The first time I went last December everything was 100% arranged staff was extremely customer oriented everything I consumed was top notch the chef even came to the table and asked if everything was OK nothing to complain about recommendation if you are thinking about a visit to Ameland

It is really not an unlimited tapas food, you can place an order 5 times on your card... and the first 4 go fairly quickly, but after you have filled in number 5 it takes almost until the end of the time you have before they serve it and even though your time still takes 45 minutes, you don't get a blank card... so for me it's not unlimited, you pay for a maximum of 5 snacks. The food and service are good, but not unlimited

What a nice restaurant. We had a delicious meal here with our two children! Good atmosphere, lots of choice to order (also for children!) and good service. And the (homemade) Sangria was also delicious. We will definitely come here again!

We waren nogal vroeg met een lunch.. ze waren echt nét open. De kachel op het buitenterras kwam snel aan en de Spaanse vissoep met tosti (Spaanse ham! ) kwam snel ! Heeeeerlijk was het! En ook nog eens goedkoper dan de overkant ! 😉 Aanrader!

T is t eerste restaurant waar ik tussen de gerechten door met mede bezoekers heb gepraat. Uit pure verveling die net als mij na 3 kwartier nog steeds aan t wachten zijn op hun eten. Veel geld voor normaal eten waar de 2 mensen heen en weer lopen om alles wat opgewarmd in een magnetron, een portie kroket krijgt enz enz. Adios amigos hier komen we waarschijnlijk niet meer

Goede uitgebreide kaart, tapas zijn heel zorgvuldig bedacht en bereid, alles is vers en zeer smaakvol.

Es werden ca 40 verschiedene Tapasvarianten angeboten. Die Tapas sind ausgewogen, das Personal ist absolut freundlich. Es war ein gemütlicher Abend. Wir sind nach der 5. Tapasrunde ausgestiegen.

Wij waren twee week op Ameland en zijn hier twee keer geweest om te eten. Eén keer met zijn drie en de andere keer met zijn tien. Beide keren was het echt super. Eten was warm, drinken goed koud, wc's schoon, personeel super vriendelijk!! We hadden twee kleintjes van 1,5jaar bij ons, ze mochten rond kijken en iedereen was super vriendelijk. We raden dit restaurant allemaal aan!

Diese Tapas Bar ist mit mehr als 5 Sternen zu bewerten! Genauso müssen Tapas sein. In kleinen Terrakotta Schälchen werden typisch spanische Tapas angeboten. Sooooo lecker und äußerst schmackhaft. Wir haben Tapas all you can eat bestellt! Genau die richtige Wahl. Somit hatten wir von allem etwas! Wer auf Ameland Urlaub macht,sollte hier unbedingt mal einkehren. Auch der Chef ist sehr nett und nimmt sich Zeit für ein Gespräch. Alles in allem hatten wir einen angenehmen und kulinarischen Aufenthalt. Übrigens....die Sangria sollte unbedingt probiert werden. Ich sag nur: " Hicks"😋

Eten was prima, niet super. Standaard smaken van een tapasbar. Zeer kleine porties. Waar je op foto’s van andere reviews 2 stukjes ziet, ontvingen wij van alles 1. Zat ongeveer een half uur tussen de rondes.

Wij hebben vandaag heerlijk tapa’s gegeten in een super gezellige sfeer. De gerechten waren met smaak bereid en het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Hartelijk dank voor deze top avond!

Hier wezen eten voor het eerst kom uit Groningen maar kom zeker terug Lekkere eten sfeer is heel gezellig hier en bediening is goed en zeer vriendelijk

Het duurde lang totdat het kwam en daar door hadden we geen honger meer. Je kon 2 uur maximaal onbeperkt eten. Maar per ronde moest je tussen de 30 en 45 minuten wachten. Je kwam daardoor niet verder dan maximaal 4 rondes. De drank werd wel snel geserveerd. Het was al aan de prijzige kant en de desserts en drankjes waren er niet bij inbegrepen. Al met al ik zou ergens anders heen gaan.

Vanavond hebben we gegeten bij dit leuke nieuwe restaurant op Ameland. Er hangt hier een hele leuke sfeer en het eten is van goede kwaliteit en wordt snel gebracht. Super leuke bediening en de Sangria smaakt erg goed! Zeker een aanrader dus.

Heel gezellig restaurantje met vriendelijk personeel. Het eten was heerlijk én de sangria is een echte aanrader! Ben je in Ameland, dan is dit restaurant zeker een bezoekje waard. Ook zeer geschikt met kinderen!

Zeer goed gegeten. Goede porties, smaakvol eten en een snelle bediening. Tafeltjes staan misschien wat dicht op elkaar.

Ein wirklich ausgesprochen schönes Restaurant! Die Tapas sind alle sehr liebevoll hergerichtet und schmecken unglaublich lecker! Definitiv werde ich hier wieder hingehen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr, sehr leckere Tapas. Eine fantastische Auswahl an Tapas, die sehr heiß an den Platz kommen und wunderbar schmecken. Schnelle und nette Bedienung, die teilweise auch Deutsch sprechen kann! Preislich für dieses Erlebnis absolut in Ordnung. Es sind Sitzplätze im Innen- und Außenbereich zur Verfügung stehend. Ich kann dies allen empfehlen, vor allem Paaren. Es wird nicht langweilig! 7 Runden sind aber nicht machbar.

Het eten was gewoon erg goed. De gamba's en lamstoof zijn aan te raden! De bediening was was vriendelijk en toen er een foutje werd gemaakt met de bestelling werd deze snel opgelost zonder problemen. De ruimte voelt ook aangenaam en de lampen die ze zelf hebben gemaakt zijn ook erg mooi.

Heerlijke Sangria en gezellige bediening. Porties waren precies goed.
