We sit there and we ordered, we got our orders. After a few minutes they said you have to leave we're closing. Time I'm writing this is 19:30 on Sunday. + They charged more than it's written in the menu.

Lovely bar on the square with a view of the statue of the artist Rembrandt. The beer was excellent, and the waitress was absolutely lovely – friendly and attentive.

We had a pleasant sit on the (covered) terrace, the service was great and the coffee was really good!

Amazing service. Unfortunately a bunch of loud blokes who had a “fun” night out ruined our quiet morning coffees. If you are looking for a nice breakfast spot , beware proximity to the tourist areas … not a knock on the establishment - rather the crowd the area may attract.

Ideal for enjoying a well drafted beer or a glass of prosecco on your terrace. A simple but authentic place, highly recommended to rest and observe the rhythm of the city.

A great business located in the center. If you like a delicious Cheeseburger you should go. Hot chocolate and beers were also nice. You can find affordable prices and good tastes.

I don’t understand how you can refuse a customer’s seating request when your restaurant is TOTALLY empty. Whether that table was set for tonight or not, I simply don’t care. You just clean and set it up again! The only reason I stayed is that I had no time left to look for another restaurant. Food was ok.

A nice place to linger and watch the goings-on at Rembrandt Plein. Relax with delicious apple tart and coffee. The staff is very friendly.

Bruincafe Center As the name suggests, the Bruincafe is located in the center of Amsterdam on the beautiful Rembrandt Plain. A small café bistro with a large outdoor area. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The drink selection was very good. You can park in the surrounding parking garages. There's always something going on here and you can easily watch what's going on.

When you go to Amsterdam, you have to visit Bruincafe' t centrum for the full experience. The price is normal not as the rest of Amsterdam. It was a great time ☺️

Passe bra utvalg når det kommer til øl og drikker, men ansatte kunne lært seg bedre deres produkter. Vi bestiller noe, så får vi annet øl fra samme merke. Og det skjedde ofte. Ellers perfekt sted når det er sol og fint vær å sitte ute.

One of the nicest places in Amsterdam located on Rembrandtplein. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. The snacks are good and the staff is spontaneous and friendly. The toilets are small but clean and fresh. Very nice for a drink and a snack on the terrace in the afternoon and a nice cozy place for an evening of real Dutch conviviality

I paid in cash here, but received €10 too little back, normally this can happen, but now I got the feeling that this was done deliberately!! It was mainly because of the reaction when I spoke to him about it. So count your money if you pay in cash! And if you have also experienced this there, let me know in a comment?

Unfortunately, my experience at this cafe was disappointing. Not only were the prices on the high side, but to my surprise there was no beer available, which is an essential part of a pub visit. The lack of choice and high costs make this not a place I would go to again in a hurry. Hopefully management can improve this for future customers.

Our slices were served HOT, having been microwaved first. She said it was because "your kind" was not welcome there.

Lovely visit to here today. I visited here 4 years ago and was hoping I would re find it this time round. Luckily I managed to find it and it never disappointed for the second time. The vegetarian breakfast is a shame. 2 eggs (undercooked), 2 slices of white bread and 1 salad leaf for 15.50 euros. I would like to understand why remove the rösti and white beans which are present in the classic formula, to my knowledge potatoes and beans are indeed vegetarian foods. However, I had felt it coming and asked what was in the formula, I was told "I don't know I am not vegetarian"..

Nice bar in REMBRANDT square overlooking the monument to the famous painter. It doesn't open very early in the morning, like many places that close late in the evening. NOT bad coffee. expressed. Good for breakfasts or quick lunches.

Yesterday we went to the small café on Rembrant Platz for the first time. We had the Chardonnay which was very good. For a snack we had toast with fried eggs, bacon and cheese. The food was lovingly prepared, the salad as decoration was seasoned with a great dressing. The absolutely attentive and friendly service is also outstanding. We will come back!

Kom hier al vanaf begin jaren 90 toen ik een jaartje in Amsterdam werkte. Kom er nu elke keer weer als ik in Amsterdam ben. Super gezellige kroeg. Vriendelijk personeel , goed eten, goede service, snel geholpen. Hoop er nog jaren te komen.

I have come to this location for over 45 years. I am not sure how many times the ownership has changed, but it seems the same. This is just my favorite place to come on a weekend morning and drink coffee and watch the world go by.

Op het Rembrandtplein bevindt zich “Bruincafé ‘t Centrum”. Wij hebben hier op het terras gezeten en hebben een aantal lekkere gerechten besteld. Alles smaakte enorm goed en we zijn door het personeel vriendelijk geholpen! Dank!

Had low expectations of breakfast coming from Sydney but their bacon was so well cooked that my impression is changed. Very cosy and vintage atmosphere. Staff was friendly and full of smiles.

Given this bars proximity to Rembrandtplein, I expected it to be the worst kind of soulless tourist rip off. Far from it, it’s an inviting bar with some good beers, and if you walk through to the original building at the back, it’s an authentic tic Amsterdam ‘Brown Bar’. Quite a ‘hidden’ gem.
