Gisteravond Burger King Assen bezocht met m’n vriendin. Bestelling #847: Big King-menu met dubbele cheeseburger, groot friet, cola zero, drie sausjes. Klinkt overzichtelijk, toch? Wat kreeg ik? Mijn burgers (ja, twee!), m’n drinken… maar slechts een *kleine* friet. Raar. Tot ik hoorde dat bestelling 848 juist een burger te weinig had. Aha. De puzzelstukjes vielen als friet op de vloer. 🍟 De Cola-tap werkte prima, de vibe was oké. Maar het blijft opvallend dat mijn maaltijd spontaan een ruildeal was met een onbekende. Misschien had het personeel een “één eruit, één erin”-policy. Wie weet. Ofwel: bedankt voor de extra burger, BK. Maar ik vrees dat ik ‘m op kosten van een ander genoot. Volgende keer graag gewoon de juiste volgorde en portiegrootte.

Horrible n'y allez pas, hamburgers minuscules, pas de serviettes en papier. Machine pour se faire rembourser les gobelets cassée, robinet dans les toilettes cassé...

Slecht, slecht, verschrikkelijk slecht. Denk je even snel iets te eten te halen binnen en mee te nemen voor onderweg kun je verschrikkelijk lang wachten. Alle auto's die voorbij komen bij de drive in, krijgen allemaal voorrang. Als je dan na bijna een half uur je bestelling krijgt, kom je er achter dat het doorgeven van je drankje nutteloos was. Je mag dit alsnog zelf in doen. En dan begint het grote genieten... de hamburgers drijven in het vet. Zo erg dat de verpakking stuk gaat. De hamburgers zijn koud. De frietjes zijn koud en de frisdrank is meer water dan ice thee en cola. De medewerker begrijpt geen Nederlands of verstaat geen Nederlands als we zeggen dat wel erg lang duurt en dat het raar is dat we onze eigen drankjes nog moeten indoen en dat het raar is dat je moet aangeven wat je wilt drinken als je toch zelf moet inschenken In de auto al smeren met de in vet druipende zooi komen we er achter dat er ook geen servetjes zijn meegeleverd. De volgende keer kun je beter je 30 euro spenderen aan de stomerij. Bij de eerst volgende parkeerplaats de hele bende maar in de container gegooid. En bij de benzinepomp servetjes gehaald.

Fast and friendly service. Been here a few times now. But never had to wait long. The Chili majo burgers are deliciously spicy. Recommended. Food is as you expect from a fast food. After 2 minutes it's over. Fast food = fast eating.

The food is fine. The service in the restaurant was also excellent. But when returning the deposit cups, which is quite cumbersome via Tikkie, there turned out to be a receipt with an error code. We only saw that in the car and then you have to rely on a WhatsApp service to solve it. This took exactly 3 weeks! When returning the cups, first check your receipts carefully.

For the umpteenth time, AGAIN NO TWISTER FRIES PRESENT. Apparently it just doesn't get replenished.

They won't see me here again. Antisocial person. Even though it was quiet. Had to wait more than half an hour for the food. And then you only get half of the order. If you say anything about it, the staff won't call you a liar. While it is simply stated on the receipt. And then you point that out to them. You almost get it thrown at you. And then the food is not exactly warm yet. Very bad thing and I won't come back again

Ordered food 48 minutes later it came for me my son had immediately ordered together daughter-in-law who waited more than fifteen minutes we could not eat together so the fries were served cold we will never come there again bad food and cold not recommended

Delicious loaded fries. The fries are of much better quality than those of the competitor. Now just waiting for the bk in Leeuwarden

Burger King and McDonalds next to each other. We prefer the Burger King. More taste, larger portions and more affordable. Use the app with extra discount coupons. Drink as much as you want by using the refill cup.

Burger and fries are always fine, but it is not very pleasant with their new look..

We were 2 children and 6 adults. It was very quiet. Preparation took a very long time, after half an hour we received our food. That for a fast food restaurant. The order was also incorrect. Food prepared Without gloves on, just with bare hands Half of it was lukewarm and the milkshake had little taste. In short, a very bad experience and will never return here

Vending machine empty, paper straws. Otherwise standard Burger King quality. Definitely better than the Mac.

With a printed piece of paper on the door: we are open later. (2:00 PM) And especially smile when I want to walk in. Unfortunately, next time I'll just go back to the Mac!

I didn't really taste the atmosphere. We ordered and took it with us. The food is always good and nice and hot. But this is a personal opinion. It is clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

I love your burgers, but I don't think your fries are that great. But that's really a story every taste is different. And you have chocolate milkshake :)

Wow, first time at a drive-in Burger King. All in all it was a bit disappointing. Burger was soggy, coke was served with a paper straw. The transaction went smoothly, with ample parking space.

Worthless gang. Everything digital, but no confirmation receipts. Recycle cups and again hassle with money back. All drinks sugar-free. After ordering for a long time, just drive to the next old-fashioned snack bar. 100% better and cheaper.

Orders take a long time on average for a fast food restaurant

No delivery to the table. A tasty burger and excellent fries. Downright expensive for what you get. Too bad my burger was made with supplies without gloves. Clearly visible through the open kitchen.

It was fairly quiet when we were there. Order was ready fairly quickly. Nothing wrong with the food. That all tasted great. Burger looked good. The tables could have been a bit cleaner. The biggest drawback were the recyclable cups that you receive with your order and have to fill yourself. Those eyes weren't clean, and drinking from them didn't feel pleasant. Really still an area for improvement.

Food was hot, we didn't wait for very long, it was very quiet. Only complaint was we were forced to order a drink in a €1 reusable cup, and didn't get the cup. 😂😂

Burger King. Wopper was cold. There are only reusable cups, which would be okay if they didn't generally cost 1EUR without an alternative. This means that every drink or ice cream is automatically 1 EUR more expensive than shown in the price list. I don't think that's right. That's what wooden spoons and paper straws are for, well.

Best Burger King I've eaten at in all of the Netherlands. The cooks do their job perfectly.

Especially at the cheese & bacon warehouse, things often go wrong or too little. Fries or too little cheese & bacon often happens. Don't get a milkshake. You can almost lick it. Average waiting time: 10 to 30 minutes. Wait until you make your wrong decision. Then you can still do it. wait another 10 minutes

A Burger King like any other. Few seats and the fact that you can only order at a pole and you are forced to receive a recycle cup is the reason why I only give the service 2 stars. When you have finished eating, you can still go to the cash register to return the cups (€ 1.00). I find it hassle and unsavory.

The food was great, quick pick-up is always convenient. I only have 2 minus points, which is the microphone/speaker at the drive-in. Half the time they don't hear you. And the waiting area for the cars is inconvenient. Other than that I find the staff very friendly

Downright bad, it took a really long time for the food to be ready and then the onion rings were also on the verge of burnt. They tasted like old grease and we didn't eat them. The long chicken was fine, a bit lacking in lettuce but overall good. It's better to get ice cream from the neighbors, there are 3 Smarties on a load of soft ice cream, which doesn't look like the picture at all. Not here again for us.

Onion rings were mainly dough. The burgers were okay. Twister fries and chili cheese nuggets were delicious! And the Oreo shake too. Fast food as it is.

Had a delicious meal here tonight after a long day of traveling! Staff was super friendly and when I dropped my milkshake, a staff member immediately came running and cleaned everything and then gave me a free new Shake! Food was delicious and the toilet is free, which I think is unique! Nice location on the highway with a small outdoor terrace for the summer!

Great meat, background music is bad

The reusable cup we got were all wet and not very clean, they didn't seem hygienic. We didn't get our 2 types of orders (1 hamburger and 1 cheeseburger), so we had to ask the takeaway department several times. The employees are not alert. the double whopper is delicious.

Yes, Burger King is coming to Assen. Unfortunately what a disappointment. The order screens are really worthless. With a large order it takes a very long time and the device has some difficulty with the discount codes. The staff cannot help you because they hardly speak English. The food is prepared in full view with bare hands and people regularly touch their faces. Rings are even worn! There is a lot of excitement going on and with a bit of bad luck you end up eating a sauce burger. If you only order a burger, if you are unlucky, you will have to wait a long time if you have large orders in front of you. Hot plate amahoela. And checking your order upon receipt is not an unnecessary luxury. The rest tastes fine, but with the above it is no longer worth getting some. Then the neighbors are better off in terms of hygiene and staff. Update 26/03 after a few months I gave the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately nothing changed. The reviews underline this. Shame.

Food is much better than comparable chains. Unfortunately we had to wait 15-20 minutes in the car after we paid and the order was also incomplete. Unfortunately, we won't find out until we're back on the highway...

Long waiting time and a dirty restaurant, fries and other rubbish on the ground and around the rubbish bins, food and price were reasonable, especially if you take advantage of offers

Upon entering, the first impression was quite chaotic. Lots of people waiting, the board was full of orders, tables didn't seem very clean, overflowing trash cans. I understand that you don't have full staff at your disposal on New Year's Day, but here the kitchen was clearly working at half capacity. Had to wait 38 minutes for our food after ordering. The food itself was good, the fries were not really pleasant to eat, seemed half-baked. Oh yes, for the long wait we got a free large soft drink of our choice, that's sweet.

We came there more often and in the beginning it was still manageable. But the last two times it was disappointing. Staff doesn't really know how or what. Long wait for your order. Yesterday it was sooo dirty, trash cans were overflowing, a lot of rubbish and rubbish all over the floor (throughout the room) and the tables were not clean. Have you had problems with the deposit before and yesterday again you paid 1 euro for your cup and you get a small plastic cup while you ordered medium yes the large ones are gone so yes you can refill right? No, not if you get a milkshake. Yesterday we received a large cardboard cup and we handed it in. It was a 5 euro deposit, it was stated on the receipt, you pay for it.

Finally a Burger King, no more McDonald's for me, only thing is they forget the cheese on the whopper, not once, but every time I buy one

We were the only customers, and yet the fries and chicken nuggets were weak. Shame. And the tables and floor were filthy. Next time back to the Mac. It scores higher than Burger King

Fries were cold and flaky just like the burger. The free sauce was not included. At the checkout she didn't understand it. Well, it might be useful if people work there who can/understand Dutch. We had to pay for a deposit cup. We ran out of them so we got a regular cup. Are you quickly vacuuming your milkshake to get your deposit back?

Just had a quick bite because we had to be in Assen.

The first impression was that it was clean, probably because it is new. Then I ordered two long chicken burgers and they were prepared in a ridiculous way. Two employees were making sandwiches with their bare hands and were being funny by throwing the cheese on the sandwiches. Sandwiches went straight into the trash. I will never come back here again.

You always have to wait a long time for your food and when it arrives it is far from warm and the order is often incorrect. Quality is certainly substandard for what you pay for it. It seems as if the staff receives no guidance.

The tennis party was unforgettable, but the rest was poorly organised. Getting a beer cost you at least 4 games and pissing the beer later cost you another 4 games. Very sorry.

So far this is the worst Burger King I've been to in the Netherlands, only the one in Kleve, Germany was worse. I give two stars only for the actions of the staff in the situation that arose. I ordered a double grilled burger and they gave me a regular one. After talking with the guy, he quickly replaced it with the correct one. However, the burger was quite dry and I couldn't enjoy it to the fullest. Also a banana milkshake, banana was in name only, just vanilla ice cream with just a hint of banana. This is clearly not what I expected to receive. I would also like to mention the toilet. The toilet was very dirty, they obviously hadn’t even cleaned it that day at all, and there wasn’t even a seat on the toilet to sit on. Bad guys, very bad, I hope next time you will correct the situation.

If you order a long chicken with cheese, the slice is not even melted. They also don't use gloves in the kitchen. Nice and hygienic. If you go to a Burger King in Germany, it's nice. But not here. Shame

New Burger King in Assen. Hard to find. Only visible from the direction of Hoogeveen. From that direction take the exit. From the direction of Groningen you will only see B K once you have passed the exit. Order via screens, pay and pick up afterwards. Everything PIN only. The food was fine. The atmosphere is disappointing when there are 4 guests. It'll probably turn out fine

Half of the machines do not work, the front door is defective..... Ohh yes, I still have a 5 euro deposit credit! Those 5 returned cups were not credited via the PIN!

My menu was presented in a bag, even though it clearly stated "sit in" on the receipt. Then again the wrong products were served with the menu. Very busy with each other, little attention for guests. Burger King is my favorite, but the Assen location still has to catch up.

Reading the order is difficult. I order a strawberry milkshake. I get a vanilla and I ordered BBQ sauce and did not receive it.

It looks like a nice Burger King. Unfortunately you have to enter through the emergency door. The sliding door has been working outside for months. The staff does not speak Dutch. And cannot understand Dutch. The orange has a lemon flavor if you take the normal orange (Fanta) with little orange flavor. Disadvantage. No Dutch speaking staff. Drink watery Swear cold and chilly Floor filthy sticky Toilet weird smell Benefit Immediately your turn. Always room to sit.

New Burger King location along the A28 near Assen Zuid. Centrally located, easily accessible. Enough menu options available. Staff may be multilingual and not always Dutch. Coupons can be downloaded and used via the app and site.

Undercooked fries, cold food, high prices. Really bad! And since when is there a tomato on a big king?

Burger was OK! Drinks cold and warm were absolutely subpar. The cold drinks from the large American company tasted very thin, artificial and just plain bad. And even though I had ordered the coffee from a fully automatic machine for restaurant consumption, I was served a coffee-colored hot drink with no taste whatsoever in a reusable cup, which was subject to a charge. And the 2 stars for this €25 menu is actually too high! Never again!

Neat, beautiful, modern Burger King. Missing table service, broadcasting order number very unclear/unintelligible. The food is soggy, but that is the case at all Burger King, KFC and McDonalds fast food restaurants. Free parking in front of the door. Equipped with a "Drive". Miss fast charge facilities for EVs, new DCB Energy next to only fossil fuels.

If you get there around opening time it won't take long. We were kindly helped at the drive-in. We had a large order, the burgers were all well prepared and delicious. Everything was still warm when we got home. The price is a bit on the high side, but it is REALLY much more filling and REALLY much tastier than McDonalds, and so are the Kingshakes by the way! BurgerKing Assen is highly recommended. It is a shame that they did not think about waiting areas for cars after the drive in instead of in front of the building. The entrance for the building is misleading at the moment. The staff shortage is still significant. One is much friendlier than the other. Hope things get better and that civilian heroes will emerge.

Fasty vegan food, clean around.

The food is good and tasty, they are friendly but it really needs to be faster. Waiting 20 minutes while the entire restaurant is empty.

Kfc Mac... Just give me Burger King, really tasty burgers and loaded fries, it's a big meal. At KFC, loaded fries looks more like a matchbox. At Burger King it's a decent size.

Wanted to order were answered in English, why do we live in the Netherlands? Then we had to wait another 12 minutes until we finally got our food and then the hamburger was still cold. This is the first time this has happened to us at a Burger King. We will not be going to Assen again in the future.

Food was not very hot. Decorated like a dining room of an institution. Taste was otherwise fine.

Whoppers and loaded fries were cold, a real shame. Should have gone back afterwards, I thought it was too expensive for such bad food. Normally BK is good.

Unfortunately, due to a shortage of staff, it closed earlier and we had to wait a long time for the food, which meant that some burgers or fries were already cold. But the staff members who were there did their very best, I have never had such richly filled sandwiches at a Burger King. It's freezing, the sandwiches and the rest of the portions are ridiculously small. Milkshakes are all white in color, no matter what flavor you have, and the taste is bland, like real powder stuff they put in it or something. The price is way too high for what you get, really soggy food and the sandwiches were lukewarm. We won't come again!

Nice new burger king First for me in the Netherlands with a coke mix machine, really great. Just taking off your jacket is not really nice, it's quite chilly. Milkshake flavor was apparently back for a while and new ones were given. I wonder if it is still ice cream or vegan mess that has become grainy in structure and watery in taste instead of a nice smooth structure

Serve regular hamburger instead of vegetarian. And packaged in vegetarian packaging. Furthermore, the fries and burgers were cold even though there was hardly anyone there around 5 p.m. Biggest blunder you can make. This was the first time we went to Burger King, but also the last time. A souvenir for life along the A28.

Not everything could be ordered. It's a shame if you have a promotion with temporary products.

After playing airsoft, I picked up 2 menus at the drive-in. We had to wait a while but were given 2 free extra burgers because they were left over! Tasted great too!

Bagger restaurant. Ordered 2x Kids menu because the boys wanted something different than McDonald's. After we received our order, they indicated that the toys had run out, which was no different, but of course 2 sad boys. When we got home they hadn't even put it in a nice box, there were 2 bags with 4 chicken nuggets in it and they had forgotten the fries. Try explaining this to a child of 5 and 3. Drove back from Beilen and demanded my money back. Fortunately, they didn't make a fuss about it, which undoubtedly happens often here. Unfortunately, we made fries for the boys at home and next time we will go to McDonald's the old-fashioned way

Cold inside and without atmosphere, the burger was not really warm either

Food was cold, bread very dry, very cold inside. It just wasn't it at all. You can just taste that the burgers are not freshly made for you, but that they have been kept warm for a long time. They should be able to make them fresh for you (especially when it is quiet). Very disappointed

Went to this Burger King for the first time last week. Looks nice and neat. Unfortunately, the screens did not work correctly, so I ordered it at the counter. The girl behind the counter seemed to understand everything, but when they brought the food it turned out not to be good. I had the 2x Crazy Cheese BBQ chicken and fries with cheese and bacon + union rings. If seemed good except for the burgers, these were the beef version. I went to the counter where the friendliest employee Jacob would make sure we got the right one. A little later we see him walking, hoping it is our citizens, but he goes to another table. That's fine, I thought. After waiting a while, nothing came. Back to the counter where Jacob was shocked and said it was his fault and immediately apologized. He had given it to those other people. So those people just took those free burgers home🤨 in the meantime, Jacob made the right burgers for us, including 2 different types of fries, sauces and 3 milkshakes for the long wait and that things had gone wrong. What a winner! Despite the long wait and the wrong order, Jacob deserves a compliment because everything turned out fine thanks to him.

Tastes better than the competition

Our visit to Burger King Assen was a disappointment. We ordered 3 burgers. Received 3 wrong burgers. Ordered once, went back three times, still got the wrong burgers in the end. Then we ate them because we were tired and hungry. For that price the burgers also looked very sad, just like us in the end.

Waiting for order takes a very long time, even though it was not busy. The preparation floor is dirty and full of paper, snacks and sauce bottles. We also miss music.

Unfortunately, the order was not completely correct, but I understood by telephone that they will make it right

Eating fast food is fine, extensive vegetarian choice, delicious! Service is mediocre, often waiting for vegetarian products (more than 10 minutes). Some of the staff speaks English, which is not a problem for me, but it is a shame on the front desk.
