McDonald's Assen Zuid in Wijk 99 Buitengebied

The restaurant was empty, yet it took 15 minutes for the food to arrive. The Big Mac was lukewarm and dripping with sauce. Half of the chicken nuggets were cold and the other half warm. The fries were fine. The music was blaring, like it was a club. The restaurant was dingy and tables were not wiped down.

The staff was very rude. They didn't even apologize when they replaced the new "Maple BBQ & Bacon" burger with some kind of cheeseburger. There was also much less fried onion in the burgers than at other McDonald's in Assen. I absolutely do not recommend this place. This is not the first time I have experienced something like this at this McDonald's; they also had frozen cheesecakes and a whole lot of other problems.

Scandalous! No reward from the app worked when I tried to scan it... no discount, paid the full price but lost all my points! It was my phone, got the manager over but couldn't do anything about it... Bravo!

Fries way too salty. Dirty floor, full trash cans. Staff very frequently forget items from the order and walk around very unmotivated. Stomach problems afterwards (reusable cups not properly clean?)

Unfortunately, the iced coffee was sold out, but the chicken nuggets were well cooked.

What a disappointment. One of the two drives-through stations wasn't working, but that wasn't indicated. So it was difficult to drive back. Then it turned out the Fanta (!) was sold out. And subsequently, we had to wait 5 minutes by the window for our 2 drinks and 6 chicken nuggets. There is a lot to improve at this branch.

The burger was unfortunately lukewarm, and the outdoor tables were very dirty even though it wasn't busy. Ample parking was nice, and we were served quickly.

What made it even more frustrating was that we saw three staff members smoking outside in the meantime. Of course, everyone is entitled to a break, but at such a busy time, that comes across as very uninterested towards customers who have been waiting for a long time. Hopefully, something will be done about this, because the waiting times at this McDrive are really way too long.

Unfortunately, I've had two bad experiences at this McDonald's so far. I ordered a cappuccino, received coffee, and after an apology, they brought the wrong coffee again. I had to wait a total of 40 minutes for the coffee. There were twenty staff members, but they didn't know what each other was doing. The next time, I received the wrong order again, and when they corrected it, the wrong orders again. I'm going to the other McDonald's in Assen. That one is always good!

As you would expect, good food, friendly and helpful staff. The front door wouldn't open, so there was a neat note hanging there saying that people could ring the doorbell. With a broad smile, the door was opened for me. Something that was part of my order wasn't ready on time. I was told this politely, and it was brought to me 10 minutes later. Just as it should be, but unfortunately not always a given these days. But here it still is. TOP.

Impersonal. Order from the computer, get a receipt, and pick up the food. There is hardly any talking anymore, and that is a shame..

Delicious food, very friendly service. The speed was okay. The interior is my favorite. I felt comfortable in the restaurant.

It's a Macdonald. Both resturant and drive through. Small play area outside for the kids. Food was good as one would expect. Facilities are clean, good parking and a big charging and fueling station near by (not sure if it is only for trucks but it had every fuel imaginable!) I digress, if you want a Macdonald, I can recommend. :-)

Last night, I got a cup of coffee during my break. I stood at the counter for at least five minutes before the person there finally responded, but what happened next wasn't really appropriate. The person taking orders at the drive-thru then started talking so loudly that everyone could hear his brother complaining. I wouldn't come back because of that, even if it was evening. This was also the last time I'd come here.

A fine McDonald's. It was very busy around 6:00/6:30 PM, though, and they had closed the upstairs. They should have opened it at this time.

Another really strange experience here. Every time I think, I'm not going back to this place. You get your food separately. Ordering takes ages, and then everything goes wrong. They give you stupid looks the whole time. Never again.

Although they're friendly, things often go wrong. They forget things, and the solution is a coupon you have to spend within two weeks. They also received spicy nuggets instead of regular ones with a Happy Meal without asking. Our little guy wasn't happy about this, which was very sad.

I've never seen such a filthy McDonald's! Trash cans were overflowing, and the sauce was dripping down the sides. The floor was littered with food scraps. Tables and chairs weren't cleaned. Staff were walking around with their souls under their sleeves. Why not smile at work and be more service-oriented? You get paid as an employee. And you pay almost €50 to eat out with your family. We won't be coming back.

There is a playground for the kids. You don't see that very often anymore.

Picked up food from the drive-thru, had to wait an awfully long time for the driver before me, who had to park in a parking space, so my food was probably already ready and therefore cold! The fries were even saltier now; I didn't think that was possible, but they were soggy. I had a stomach ache all night. No more McDonald's for me for a while 😏

The food was good, but The tables were dirty. And the restroom was also filthy, but the staff can't do much about that; it's largely the responsibility of the people who use it.

I understand all the negative reviews. How can they have so few people on duty when there's a huge event at the circuit? Surely they'll come to McDonald's? After waiting 45 minutes for one cappuccino and two mac muffins, I finally got my money back. A tip for management: appoint a team leader who understands that small orders need to be processed quickly to prevent unnecessary order volume.

If you have plenty of time and patience, you can eat here. Today we tried it despite the bad reviews. If only we had listened to the reviews. We waited an hour for breakfast. And it's dirty inside and out. We definitely won't be back.

Ordered food at 1044am finally got it approx 1134 after having a few words with one particular employee who told me that the food taking long was that’s there only 3 people working and it wasn’t he’s problem it’s my problem and told me to keep calm and after arguing with him two of his colleagues pulled him away. They don’t have a system in there they was calling out order numbers after my one and not even in numbered order if I could give no stars I would
