Delicious food, the best burgers in Assen! It's perhaps important to note, given the negative reviews below, that it's best to pick up your order instead of having it delivered. Due to the freshness of the ingredients, I think it's impossible to provide everyone with a hot meal if you have to deliver to multiple addresses*. (*Which makes sense, otherwise delivery wouldn't be feasible.) My tip: pick it up and you'll have a delicious, hot meal.

The food is delicious and hot, and the staff was very friendly. I recommend everyone to try it.

The burgers are truly terrible for the price. I often order burgers from different places, but this is the worst burger I've had in a long time, especially for €13/€15 per burger. I wouldn't order from here. Honestly, I feel ripped off.

I ordered here for the first time a while back. The food was delicious and delivered quickly! Then I ordered again a while later... Unfortunately, the delivery went wrong, which meant it took a very long time and the food was cold. I contacted the store, and they made it right by offering a free menu for next time! Glad you resolved it properly!

Super tasty fresh burgers, everything arrived hot! The delivery was friendly. It took about an hour to get to Oosterwolde. The best burgers I've ever had.

Want cold food? Order here. They really go out of their way to make you wait ages for your food, which is then, of course, completely cold and inedible. Even the dog turns his nose up at it. When you call, they'll excuse you that they're busy. But no apology or new food. Almost €50 just went straight in the bin. This was a one-time thing, and never again.

Ordered food at 6:45 PM, received it at 8:30 PM, and the food was cold and had hair in it. We won't be eating this again. Continue: I received a response about my review. Their response was that it was one of their busy days and that it shouldn't be an excuse, and that I should contact them via WhatsApp and make it right with me IN ANY EVENT. I contacted them via WhatsApp. They offered me a 20-euro meal on the house. I refused. I ordered for 45 euros and indicated that I'd prefer a refund. They could only offer me this proposal and ended the conversation. What do you mean, they're going to make it right with me? I tried to find a solution and that we could meet each other. They responded by saying, "We think it's a big deal and very polite that we're making a proposal. Excuse me? That's normal, isn't it? And that's how it should be?" But the conclusion was that no solution was found, and they ended the conversation. And nothing was made right ANYWAY.

Ordered food at 6:10 PM. Received it at 7:55 PM. It was lukewarm, and the drink wasn't what I ordered. I called three times to ask where it was. It was busy, the delivery driver was on his way... If it's too busy, don't accept orders and at least let the recipient know it's going to take a long time. This was the last time for me.

Unfortunately, another bad experience. For the third time, the sauces were forgotten, even after I clearly mentioned this in my order. The trufflemeister with mushrooms had hardly any sauce, and I think they were out of mushrooms. I could only find a few very small pieces. The other burgers were also not up to the standard we were used to, unfortunately. The fries weren't really undercooked. It's a shame, we were very satisfied before. But it's really much less these days.

Ordered food from them on August 3rd. The order arrived after an hour, but I was missing one fry, my burger was burnt, and the frikandel special wasn't special. I contacted them and they said they would deliver a new order. After an hour, still no order. I called again and they said someone would be there within two minutes, but no one arrived. I told them I wanted a refund, but they couldn't just do it because the manager was on vacation. They took down my phone number and said they would call me back within two days. I called them myself at the end of the week because I didn't get an answer as expected. I got the same answer: the manager was on vacation. In short, a terrible store and poor service. I won't order from them.

By far the tastiest vegan burger I've ever had! My nephew has a milk and egg allergy, and he always enjoys the burgers. Delivery is also always super fast!

We ordered burgers and fries for five people, with various extra toppings. Unfortunately, the order was quite disappointing. First of all, one burger was missing, but it was later delivered. Furthermore, it would be helpful if the packaging indicated which burger was which – currently, we had to open everything to see what was what. The packaging itself was neat, but the food looked as if it had been hastily and sloppily prepared. The quality was clearly lower than we'd come to expect from Burger Meister. We also paid for extra toppings, but we didn't see or taste any of them. One of the burgers we ordered was supposed to be a Fat Meister with two 190-gram patties, but what we received was more like a simple smash burger. All in all, a disappointing experience. For these prices, you would expect better quality and care. Today, we were absolutely not satisfied.

Waited almost 2 hours for a small order. When it finally came the fries were cold and soggy and the hot dogs looked awful. Last time I order from here.

What a wimp. Really too crazy for words. Ordered an expensive burger menu for my wife and loaded fries for myself. Burger was cold, called the store, really unclear and vague phone conversation but eventually they would deliver a new burger. You think that's fine, no, the 2nd burger just has melted plastic on it (probably plastic from the cheese slice or something). Loaded fries were also really inedible. As if they had thrown a whole soup spoon of frying fat over it. The cardboard container it was in was also completely soaked and my fries were swimming in the fat at the bottom.

The food was very tasty, the service was excellent and the price was very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. I recommend everyone to try this delicious food.

Received the wrong order twice. Disgraceful service when I contacted them about it. Ordered a custom burger of almost twenty euros; it became a small cheeseburger with ingredients on it that I am allergic to. When I contacted them, I was told in an angry tone that I was out of luck and had to order again the next day. Ordered twice, received the wrong order twice. Worthless hahaha

Food is always great here! Delivery sometimes a bit faster than other times. Last time something was forgotten due to the crowds, but it was resolved very neatly. Just got in touch again because the order didn't work via the site, they immediately looked for a solution, really great!

I had ordered food. now they had forgotten the sweet potato fries, then I ran outside to the delivery person to tell them they would come five minutes later. (it can happen) I call 20 minutes later hey where are my sweet potato fries? they say they are coming. well okay 10 minutes later they bring them I get regular fries for sweet potato fries price. I call there and there is no answer. I think it is a shame because I pay but no more answer.

The food is delicious. The service is terrible. I have now ordered here 10 times, of which maybe 3 orders were on time, with regular outliers of 2 hours late. Today took the cake, I ordered at 16:00 to receive the food at 18:00, it is now 20:00 and I have not received any food yet. I have called twice and heard twice that the delivery person is on his way. From what I can read in the comments, that is the standard response.

Unfortunately the same experience as many. Cold burgers, burnt sweet potato fries and a very long wait. And from the reactions of Burgermeister it can be concluded that they have been using the same excuse for a year now.........delivery staff who are absent or sick. You simply do not have your affairs in order. You do charge the highest price for your products but the service and quality is simply bad

With all the bad reviews I sometimes don't dare to order, but so far we have only had the wrong burger once in our 15? times ordering. Today again three delicious burgers, neat service and communication! Especially the new smashburger is really recommended. I don't recognize myself in the bad reviews and therefore also like to leave a good one!

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd. What a mistake... I had ordered at 16:00 that I wanted my food at 18:30. I got it at 19:10. The burger was unfortunately soggy and cold, and the Ben and Jerry's (also the wrong one) was a milkshake. Not to mention the loaded fries, I had asked for extra bacon. That was not on it and actually it was just a bowl of minced meat and a few soggy fries with cheese (well, what can happen with delivery). Also ordered a coke, did not receive it. In other words, I feel cheated, too bad about the order. I will not order again.

They deliberately forget the peanut sauce, they would not order it here, if you report it, they will threaten to take action on certain channels.

A very delicious burger, thank you for everything

The food arrived almost cold. The fries were dry and the loaded fries barely had any sauce...the hot dogs were also dry and the bread seemed old. This is the last time we order food here. everything looked like it had been in the kitchen all day.

After reading the bad reviews in recent months, I took the risk and ordered a burger. After waiting an hour and a half, I called to ask where my food is; I was told that the delivery person was on his way. After 45 minutes I still didn't hear the doorbell, so I called again. "Oh, how strange, then I'll make you a new burger," was the answer. Agreed to that. Another 45 minutes of waiting and finally a knock on the door! Received the food and yes... a cold burger with disgusting, semi-soft fries.

Yesterday we had a nice evening at the neighbor's house and ordered dinner with a few people. Unfortunately it was one big disappointment. I had an Eggy Meister, the meat seemed completely unseasoned, it was so bland, there was exactly 1 slice of tomato and 1 piece of pickle on the burger. There was little Meister sauce on it which was also tasteless, I have rarely had such tasteless food. My neighbor had a hot dog and sweet potato fries. The hot dog contained 1 pathetic little sausage cut in half, all but a well-filled bun. The sweet potato fries were burnt through and through, they smelled burnt, tasted burnt and were also a limp mess (see photo) I have been in the kitchen for 30 years and would really not dare to give this to a guest, a chef who gives this mess should not even call himself a chef. Never again Burgermeister for me, because they don't even master making burgers! Greeting, Neighbor Bart In response to Burgermeister's response, I contacted Burgermeister and indicated that I would like some explanation as to why they do not agree with my review. I am told that the boss is on holiday, and I have to make do with that, while in the response I have been invited to come and have dinner with them. The employee is now calling, I will pass it on to the boss. I say that that is fine, but that I will not order again. The employee literally says that I have to know that myself, so he is not interested and complaints are therefore not taken seriously. Employee was downright rude to me. When "the boss" returns from vacation I will let "the boss" hear the telephone conversation mentioned above, because it is recorded. Ordered again a year later and there has been no improvement. Waiting 2 hours for cold and tasteless food. Now the excuse is used that delivery drivers are unexpectedly sick, but you will not be compensated. They just do things very poorly here, while you pay top price for everything.

I placed an order today, my order was delivered much too late (more than 60 minutes), I can sympathize with that, but my food was ice cold and my 7-up was not delivered and the chocolate cake was still frozen, after calling this would have been delivered, it has now been more than 40 minutes further, I don't expect this anymore. All in all, sad intention, the food was so cold, an attempt to warm it up in the microwave ultimately ended up in the trash. How I REGRET the order. But especially the tip I gave (digitally), which is seriously undeserved. 1 star is too much. My advice to everyone don't order here!!

Food has been arriving cold lately. We were always very satisfied with the quality of the food, but unfortunately it has deteriorated sharply in recent months. Unfortunately, the waiting time before your order is delivered can sometimes be exorbitant; waiting 1.5 to 2 hours is no exception.

The burgers are very good. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to deliver the food warm. Maybe too many deliveries throughout the city at the same time? Or no warming bag in the car? A shame because the burgers are really good.

I had a great time last time, but today things were a bit different. There was nothing spicy about it. Make sure there were no extra jalapenos on it either. Or 5 pieces should now be 2 portions. Had a delicious meal with a group of 7 people. We had to wait a while (logical with 7 fresh menus) before the food arrived, but everything came at the same time, the burgers were served in a nice way and were all very tasty! Exactly what you want at a burger joint. Friendly staff who regularly came to check if we wanted something to drink.

Delivered quickly by a friendly boy, delicious food and still warm

I regret having to post this review. The food (if delivered properly) is simply super tasty. Unfortunately, in the past 5 times we have ordered, we have always had something missing from the order. This is delivered afterwards, but often only half an hour to an hour later. At that point the accompanying dish is cold and less tasty. Furthermore, the boy who answers the phone today sounds very uninterested, but other days we are treated more friendly. Once again it's a shame that so little care is taken to check the order before it goes out.

Ordered food via home delivery. Food was 1.5 late and the fries were forgotten, etc., etc. If you look at the home delivery reviews of this company, you will see that 5 stars are continuously given by 4 or 5 of the same short names who apparently order a lot... The other reviews are usually from dissatisfied real people with cold or wrong food or missing items. Burgemeister promised me several times that I would get my money back, but 3 weeks later I had not seen anything.

The hamburger sandwiches were delicious, prepared with pure meat and you can taste it. The fries were a bit TOO salty/seasoned, it was not pleasant to eat. Our granddaughter told us during checkout that the fries were not tasty. I explained that there was too much salt/seasoning on it. It would be passed on, I think with a quarter of the herbs/salt it would have been sufficient. And we still had to wait quite a long time for our order. A very friendly lady at the counter. I did find it quite a bit that we had to pay the full price of a complete sandwich including garnish for our 4-year-old granddaughter for just a sandwich and hot dog.

Cold food, if you call after it you won't get back what you ordered.

I wandered in with four friends on a Tuesday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma. We ordered Chicken Meister and Chef Beef Meister Burger. The taste is too good. Staff (Special boy st receipt) very friendly and so welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended

We ordered around a quarter to six, food would be delivered around half past seven. Around that time we received a call that the electricity had gone out and the order would be later. No problem, that can happen. After waiting 45 minutes we received another phone call: the order is on its way, but without 1 portion of loaded fries, the beef could not be prepared. Still asked how this works, because then we have a partial order and not enough for all diners. But according to the employee, nothing could be done about that. The money would be arranged via home delivery. It is very special that no call was made earlier to discuss this. The order arrived at half past eight, no excuses, the loaded fries that could be made were completely mixed up, the food was lukewarm, the hot dog bun was burnt. And make some extra yourself because it wasn't enough. Very disappointing, while otherwise we are satisfied.

Despite a staff shortage due to illness on the evening we were there, we had a great time! I went for dinner with my family and it was delicious! The people were friendly, had a nice chat and very competent because running a business with 2 instead of 4 because two people were absent is certainly not an easy task. (Huge kudos for that) It was very nice to see my sick grandfather enjoying a delicious burger (he said it was the best burger ever). I personally had the bacon meister without a pickle and with meister sauce instead of mustard (this burger was made completely correctly despite the adjustments) it was very tasty and a large portion :) I would recommend everyone to eat here sometime! The prices are nice and the food is very tasty and luxuriously presented.

Ordered from Burgermeister Assen, we had to wait an extra 35 minutes for our food, didn't receive a call, nothing. Feeling the bag, which was quite cold, the disappointment was indeed great. The food was cold and we were certainly the last on the order route.... the food tasted great, but it was cold. We prefer not to order here a second time.

We give it a chance every time, but the food always comes much later than stated. It's relatively tasty food, the delivery is just rubbish. If you're going to eat here, do it with takeaway.

Just waited 2 hours for 2 burgers and fries. The delivery person had tried to call us, but when we answered we heard nothing. Finally called Burgermeister himself, they indicated that we had not opened the door. Apparently the delivery person was at the wrong house. A little later the food was delivered, but no apology was given. The delivery person gave the food and immediately walked away. Fortunately, the burgers were still warm and tasty. But the fries were cold and tough. Not worth the 3.25 per portion this way. Ordered here before and it actually always went well, except for some rude delivery people.

Since I ordered from their own site, which saved them money. Normally you get a coke or something like that for free, but not now. so just order via home delivery. I also ordered 2 br hamburgers for 16 euros each. Well, please don't do that if I were you because you really don't get enough for what you get.

Tastiest burgers in all of Assen

I have ordered from here before and never actually had any problems, unfortunately this time I did. I ordered a hot dog and loaded fries. The cheese on the hot dog was completely stuck to the foil, so there was nothing left on the hot dog. Unfortunately there was no sauce on the hot dog either. The fries from the loaded fries were wet and soggy, and unfortunately had little taste.

Food arrived 45 minutes late. Was cold and limp. This is a bit of a shame. Ordered well in time and still too late and also unedible so cold. In any case, Dustbin liked it.

It may be time to invest in keeping food warm during delivery. It was just cold, not even lukewarm.... edit: The taste of the burger was great as always ;)

Start positively first. Varied menu and it tastes okay. Unfortunately, that's all there is to it. I have 2.5 hours had to wait for my order to be delivered (I literally live downtown). I had to give instructions via the intercom to the delivery person who did NOT understand Dutch or English, so my food was simply placed at the barrier... not very nice. The food was cold and not very special. Too bad, definitely not recommended.

Yesterday I waited an hour and a half for cold food. Everything was cold, fries were limp and unseasoned, menus did not contain mayonnaise which was always included before. It used to be great, but not anymore lately.

Lately, orders have been delivered late (more than half an hour after the delivery time). As a result, the burgers and fries are no longer hot. In the beginning, the burgers were delivered in a box and now only in foil.

I have ordered from here before, but the quality is really going down. The entire hamburger bun is wrapped (i.e. crumpled) in aluminum foil, which makes it completely crammed together. Not a sight of a delicious fresh burger. The onion rings on the burger are also so thick that they are no longer tasty. Not much sauce on the burger. Bun as hard as a brick. Really a shame! The delivery time stated is also absolutely incorrect! Feel free to assume 30 minutes longer anyway and sometimes it is no longer warm, but lukewarm. It's a real shame, because like I said, I order here often! But as long as the quality and service continues to deteriorate, I will look for another burger restaurant 😢

After a previous somewhat disappointing meal ordered, I contacted burgerMeister. The complaint was handled satisfactorily and I was able to order a free menu as compensation. Top service and we are happy to help customers who are not completely satisfied.

Fast service and delicious food. The hot burger was really delicious, best burger I can remember.

The order arrived more than half an hour later than expected. We received a nice apology for that. The food was tasty, but I didn't think the crispy burger was very special and not very crispy either. The fried onion had become a bit soggy. I also would have liked it a bit warmer. Certainly not bad, but not the tastiest burger I've eaten.

Super tasty and a decent portion. When the basket with the fries arrived I was initially disappointed by the size, but then I had a hard time eating it all. The burger was awesome. Last night I had some visitors, including Neighbor Bart, over and we ordered food with a few people. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. Neighbor Bart ordered an Eggy Meister, but the meat seemed completely unseasoned and therefore very bland. Moreover, there was only one slice of tomato and one piece of pickle on the burger. The Meister sauce was scarce and also tasteless; Rarely have I had such tasteless food. I ordered a hot dog with sweet potato fries. The hot dog contained only one pathetic little sausage that had been cut in half, far from a good sandwich. Unfortunately, the sweet potato fries were completely burnt through and through, which you could not only smell but also taste. Moreover, it was a weak mess (see photo of neighbor Bart). With Neighbor Bart's own 30 years of experience in the kitchen, this really could not be served to a guest. A chef who gives this kind of rubbish shouldn't even call himself a chef. Very bad, waiting 2 hours for 2 burger menus and a children's menu, called 4 times and each time there was something different going on! Paid almost 40 euros for cold and burnt food, hot dog was not included!! And fries for 1 or 2 people are ridiculous!! Are you waiting until almost 8 o'clock with your 6 year old child 🤬 we will NEVER order from here again!! I'll call you one more time for a suitable solution.

Ate here via social deal, the service was good and they were very friendly. We ordered the vegan satay meister menu, when it was delivered there was a fried egg on the burger and upon inquiry it turned out to be a real egg and the mayo also turned out not to be vegan. They immediately apologized and made everything again, this time everything vegan. To make mistakes is human and I liked how they handled it. I also hope that they take this as a learning moment so that the next vegan can eat their burger without worries. Furthermore, the food was good and we were quite full after the burger menu.
