Burgerbar Warmoesstraat in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

I came with some friends and the burgers and fries were really tasty. Unfortunately, I am here to leave a bad review. The experience was not fully satisfying since once of the employees was very rude and impatient. First, this person shouts our number and looks at us condescendingly and impatiently (we were given a beeping device that didn't make any sound or vibration). After seeing the way he called to us I explain that the device didn't work and then he mumbles some kind of impatient sentence that I don't remember. All his non verbal communication yells that he either doesn't like us or his job. After that, I notice that one of the burgers doesn't have fries so I tell him. He basically just points at the ticket saying that only one of the orders was made menu (and he didn't even try to understand were the misunderstanding was). I took the food (quite upset) and we just ate it with less fries, as it seemed pointless to try to talk to that person. I believe that either the order was not properly taken or just the ticket was impossible to decipher. In any case, I suggest to do something about that employee as he probably needs help.

We bought 4 burgers and fries. The meat was raw and had a strange taste and smell. Stay away, it's too expensive.

Worst experience. Mixed burgers with large orders numbers with no indicator what so ever. Bad customer service. Not answering phone.

They sent us more than 20 different burgers without writing notes which one is what.

Really good, freshly made burgers. Best I've had that I didn't make myself! The meat is ground onsite. You can choose from different types of beef. You can choose from a few suggested burgers or build your own. The fries were top class. The staff were busy but really very friendly. I had a great chat to them. Price was quite high (€27 for a burger, fries and a 1/2 litre beer), but 5 mins from Centraal Station, what do you expect?- and the quality was really very good

I’ve always had a nice experience with this place, unfortunately not today… I was in the Warmoesstraat (Amsterdam) location and I ordered a burger and I wanted to use my Squid app because of an offer that I had but the guys didn’t know what I was talking about. Weird because it’s an app that they are using from long time… I explain to the guy at the kassa, clearly new (and nice) about the app and he ask to the guy at the grill (he said was the manager). They said that they didn’t have the scanner for the app when I clearly saw it under the kassa. So I told the employees that was there, we used it but of course they said they couldn’t see our profile or the options to proceed… The “manager” (idk if it’s true) was very rude and arrogant. He was pretending that he was in Holiday a month and didn’t know about this “new app” , I said that isn’t new to him and order in the regular way… I left the place with my 2 classic burgers and then when I opened them of course I had one with no salad and sauce and one with no pickles and sauce. Very very bad experience, I work in the customer service so I know how is work with people and I always try to be the easiest customer possible but honestly it was very hard staying kind… Sunday 5/10/2025

I was our last night in Amsterdam and wanted to taste some actually well cooked fries and a delicious burger. The food was awesome. Next time I’m in Amsterdam I’ll be in this place every day. The burger were delicious.

The food was amazing and staff were very friendly. Be warned if you order a burger in a meal and then ask for "loaded fries" this will be seperate. We ended up with 2 meals with fries plus a loaded fries 😅

The service at the checkout was very bad, the sweet potato fries were salty, as were the meats, and the people seemed to have no hygiene.

When I go out with other Dudes we will normally go to "A" Burger Bar. This time round I had an Angus burger with beef bacon with Jalapeño fries. Super tasty !!! 😋 I will be back !!!

Unfortunately, the cashier's behavior and the way they handle orders are bad. When you ask for something extra, they don't pay attention. The food is also expensive, but its taste is very average. I would not recommend it at all.

The sandwiches are really good; you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail. The fries are also excellent: fresh and cut to order (we saw the guy making them). I also really appreciated the fact that the guy realized it was for our little son and asked if we wanted to remove some ingredients that kids often don't like. The only downside is that I found the prices a bit high; otherwise, it would have been perfect.

Burgerbar Warmoesstraat is hands down one of the best burger spots I've visited not just in Amsterdam, but anywhere. Tucked away on one of the city's liveliest streets, this place delivers big flavor in a casual, cozy setting that's perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends.

I definitely recommend the Smash Burger. Just a friendly note that the staff can be very arrogant & some have bad manners in my honest opinion. Would love to see improvement!

The food was nice. I got a smashburger and some fries. The food was perfect except for the rucola in the burger, it was very muschy and it seemed like it was old. The staff was not too kind, they don’t smile and do not look you at you when you are talking to them. The fibe in the shop was good with nice music.

Excellent burger! - an absolute relief after the sad, flavorless burgers from McDonald’s in Germany. I went for the classic with Angus beef, grilled onions, and bacon, and it was spectacular. The ingredients were top-notch, especially the grilled onions, and I even noticed a pickle in there somewhere. The sauce was spot on, and the patty was juicy and flavorful. The whole burger was gloriously messy, breaking apart in the best possible way. The fries were great too, but the burger alone was worth the trip. The service was a little slow, but to be fair, the place was quite busy.

A really good burger restaurant, small but perfectly formed. It reminded me of Five Guys; you can build your own burger, with plenty of options. The burgers and fries were delicious, everything freshly prepared, and the meat was cooked to perfection (medium well). The only downside was the restrooms, which weren't very clean, but that might have been because it was very late. Overall, definitely worth a visit!

One of the best Burgers on Earth.

The asian person who took our order is the rudest, most disrespectful and disgusting person I have ever seen standing in a restaurant. He laughed at my question and went to chat in dutch with his coworker to mock me. The food was really delicious and the rest of his coworkers expressed their feelings about his rude behaviour when he left. Bottom line, never recommending or coming back due this toxic environment.

Unfortunately can’t give them more than a 1 star as the burger was raw and cold in the middle. A little pink would’ve been fine not completely undercooked a shame, as the fries with truffle mayo were pretty good.

Decent burger, just the bacon was way too rubbery. Fries are also decent. They have Heineken and local wheat beer on tap.

They used to be great but they wouldn't make a very rare burger anymore, which is the reason we went there. Does that mean that their meat isn't fresh anymore?

Lets be real, is it a 4.5? That's a hard no for me. However, if you're going for a quick meal with the expectation of just having a burger it good. I like the cleanliness of the place and the speed/efficiency of the order fulfillment. I'd also like the option to have some sort of salad with the burger as opposed to fries. If it's there the menu wasn't very clear. The XL burger is quite large and I need to compensate with some rabbit food you know ;)

One evening in Foncedalle we came across this address and ultimately it wasn't bad. It wasn't exceptional either but I will keep good memories of it.

Burger is not awesome but definitely worth to taste

I was in a hurry to eat, you know Amsterdam, this burger place was clean and cozy, the kitchen was open, the stove where they fried burger patties was clean, they fried potatoes next to it. The staff helped me make an order, I chose an XL burger, the order fully met my expectations, I also took potatoes. Your reviews helped me make this choice, I give it 5 stars. What I would like to add to the menu is a coleslaw salad, maybe it is there but the menu was not very clear except for burgers.
