The burgers are quite large, the ingredients are fresh and delicious, the fries are very crispy and delicious, and the restaurant's decoration is very stylish. It is a good place to try it when you visit the Van Gogh Museum.

Great food and very friendly service.

I had a gluten-free "The Scarecrow" fries, which was very large and delicious. Unfortunately, they don't offer gluten-free fries, at least not suitable for people with celiac disease, as they also fry something else containing gluten. Dad Local has a very nice atmosphere and a price to match;) The staff is helpful and definitely seems to know their stuff when it comes to gluten-free options.

Our server was so nice and energetic, loved his vibes and attitude throughout the service. Food was great as always and arrived quickly, have gone here before and the quality never disappoints. Cocktails were also great!

Fabulous food. The burgers were amazing. Full of flavour, moist and juicy. The truffle fries were awesome and the onion rings crispy and light. The restaurant itself was fantastic. Dark and atmospheric and very relaxed.

Burgers are Ok. Better than average but just so. Not spectacular. Alright. Service attitude and tone of voice however were not as you’d expect from a restaurant that wants customers to return. Rather “sharp” tone of voice, more interested in upselling than to ensure customers have a good time. On the verge of rude when informing us about the “last round”. And assuming a 15% surcharge on the bill felt awkward at best in the light of that. Summarizing: food ok, venue ok, with more friendly staff I would have returned. A decent concept ruined by its staff. Pity.

It was raining outside, and I walked in, ordering the Wagyu Cyclone Burger, not expecting that I would taste one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. From the first bite, the flavors were extraordinary! juicy, perfectly seasoned wagyu paired with foie gras that enhanced every element of the burger. It was clear the chef had poured their heart into crafting this masterpiece. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. The service was outstanding, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. I can’t wait to return and savor it all over again!

The service and food were excellent. Unfortunately, there was a very noisy group next to us, which made normal conversation difficult.

I tried to go there with my son as it is Wizard of Oz themed. I saw a no strollers sign as we entered then the host told me that no kids under 5 were allowed. He said there was a sign but I didn't see it. When I asked if there was another place up eat nearby, he said he only worked here and didn't live in this neighbourhood. He was so very rude and snobby.

The Scarecrow burger and onion rings are massive. The milkshakes are outstanding. Definitely worth a visit.

Let me not bury the lead... this is an upscale burger place with a Wizard of Oz theme to the menu, and more subtly, the decor. You might never know from the outside. Their burgers are very high quality, with both Angus and Wagyu options... but I got a Ahi burger off of the more revolutionary side of the menu. It was not seared. Nor did the menu say it was. I thought it was great. Our waiter was beyond charming and we felt very welcome despite our lack of reservations. I had originally sort of sadly given in to my travel companion's desire to find a place that served mac and cheese. I left feeling glad that we went to such a fun restraunt. They absolutely put 15% gratuity onto the charge, but they also provide an opptuntiy for the customer to amend this without service staff hovering over you.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This place is great. The drinks are top notch. The service is great. The burgers are huge. The sides are so freaking yummy. We went there 3 times on our 4 day trip to Amsterdam. Highly recommend.

The staff was more than friendly and the service was great. The Food was fantastic and the burgers as well, the ingredients seemed all very fresh. For the dessert I have to say don’t try to share :) it’s to wonderful I would come here again and can recommend it for everyone sho likes burgers and fries with a touch of an luxury ambiance the price fits the food even tough It may seem expensive for some at first sight.

The good: Burger is delicious, the gluten-free bun is great. The bad: if you want to be abused as a patron, go here. The littlest things can make a difference, I've never been in a place where they charge 2 Euros for ketchup for the fries?? And then at the very end they sneak in a 15% service charge that wasn't listed on the menu, and then leave a gap for you to leave even more. It's common to tip between 5 and 10% in Amsterdam at restaurants. It felt very dishonest when seeing the bill. They additionally do not serve tap water if requested, I get it, you're a fancy place. When paying by card, I was not provided with a receipt of the credit card transaction even though I asked for one, they said they had no more paper. Great food, but they need to make some changes to be honest with customers. Also, vegan cheese would be cool.

This place is a hidden gem! Absolutely phenomenal! Service is great, burgers are out of this world, and that Wizard of Oz theme was a really cool touch. Will definitely return on our next visit to Amsterdam.

Good burger and choices of sides. Cocktails were a hit. Burgers are big. Service was good.

Tourist trap. I came here to eat, and I liked the burger, it was fine. Prices are ok for Amsterdam, maybe a bit above average for some items on the menu, but still fine. What I didn't like is the 15% service charge on the bill, which I find funny, as for my knowledge there is no compulsory service charge in this country. They dont report it as a suggested tip, but instead they add the item directly on the bill. Hence, a TOURIST TRAP.

First, let me start by saying it is pricey. They charge for still water and condiments (read:ketchup) is considered a “sauce” at €1,5. Hubby and I shared “The Scarecrow” which is double 180g beef patty,!brioche, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, carmelized onions, pickle, tomato and romaine lettuce (€26/46 for wagyu). We added avocado for €3 and regular fries which are hand cut daily at €7,5. For desert, we ordered a chocolate shake (€7,5) and upgraded to a “freakshake” (€7). The interior decor is very cool and has a nice vibe to it. A definite must-try restaurant and we are glad we stopped in. We are even happier that we shared the entire meal because it is a LOT of food. Total bill for one hamburger, one order of fries, ketchup, a shake, the jitterbug iced tea and a beer: €70,50 + 15% surcharge is ……..€81,08 Overall impression: Worth it!!

We visited Amsterdam for a few days and we went to The Burger Room as considered “the best burger in Amsterdam” according to the reviews on different sites. The restaurant is very lovely, well designed and in theme with the Wizard of Oz, toilets were amazing and spotless clean! The restaurant looked understaffed as the service was extremely slow, despite not being busy at all. It took about 15 minutes from sitting to receiving our drinks (a soft drink and a draught beer, nothing elaborated). Burgers and fries were served after about 45 minutes, not hot, probably sitting in the kitchen waiting for a waiter. Taste was good but nothing that screamed “best burger”.

My wife and I split the city's largest hamburger in half and ate it together. It was delicious and filling. We also loved the parmesan fries.

One of the best burger place in Amsterdam. A wonderful decor inside. Such a great concept: high end burgers. I recommend the blue cheese burger. Don’t miss the bathroom - it is a cute small museum. The Burger Room delivers on every level! The food was absolutely amazing — perfectly cooked burgers packed with flavor and served with fresh, quality ingredients. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made the experience even better. If you are a burger lover with a big appetite and love for gourmet cooking, you must go here! Even better, the offer the most delicious gluten free burger buns that I have ever had, paired qith the most delicious juicy burger it was perfection! We also had the baked sweet potato which was incredible. I love that they cater to food restrictions too, and am so happy to know that I can return here without getting sick ☺️

The service was amazing! Best we've had in Amsterdam. Very fun atmosphere with Wizard of the Oz theme. Even the toilets were fun! If you have an appetite and want a fun surprise, get the FreakShake.

The only thing that strikes me as a real scam is that they give you your bill at the end with a 15% service charge; they don't mention anywhere that the service charge is additional to the prices shown on the menu.

Amazing place and atmosphere! Everything fits perfectly: from the tables, to the walls, to the names on the menu, and even the bathroom! Delicious burgers! Definitely recommended, especially after visiting one of the museums right across the street :)

I was very hungry when I went to eat this. Bland, unseasoned charged €1.5 for ketchup. Yes it’s food, not worth the price, also there is a 15% service charge.

The burgers are good, but too expensive. For the price they should come with fries. 35€ for a burger with fries and coke is too much. The suggested tip of 15% on the total feels manipulative.

We went there without reservation. The place was almost empty at 7pm still they made it a problem and gave us a table for one hour. People arriving 15 minutes later without reservation were treated a lot better from a different server. And there is 15 % added for service on the bill without telling us up front or explaining!!!!! Since I am celiac, they do have gluten free options an allergy menue that is impressive. Unfortunately the fries are nit gluten free because they only have one fryer. So why are all the work with the allergy options if you do not invest in a second fryer… we won’t visit again!

Amazing burger! Very slow service, and the atmosphere was a bit over the top for a burger joint, but overall, it was a great experience. We just had to wait a long time for our sandwiches, at least an hour.

We went there for dinner yesterday. The reception was rather cool, and the food was way overpriced. The burgers were underseasoned and absolutely bland. The onion rings were very, very tasty. We didn't feel welcome.

The food was incredibly good, portions were large and the waiter was charming and very nice to the customer but I don't like the behavior of one blonde, plump waitress with glasses. I asked her to repeat what she said and she was not nice and looked down on me. Later she snatched my credit card when I didn't know where to put it on the terminal. I don't like it when people have big egos, especially among the staff. It really spoils the atmosphere of the place and I don't think I'll go back just because of that. Anyway, I recommend it and I hope the lady had just a bad day.

It's a bit pricey, but it's worth a try. The staff are friendly.

This restaurant is a jewel in the area. It is a chef burger restaurant with an amazing theme, original and inventive food and unique ambience. Just bear in mind kids under 5, strollers and service animals are not allowed as of the writing of this review. The place hace 5 steps to get inside and some areas require more steps. Overall a very pleasant meal

My wife and I went to the Concertgebouw for a classical concert. We arrived at 5 p.m., so we were looking for something to drink and eat. After a pleasant, long walk, we ended up at The Burger Room. The ambiance was very nice, as was the atmosphere, but that's about it. After booking a table for two, we were given the menu, and usually we'd have an aperitif before dinner, but given the prices for a glass of wine—€11 and a bottle of wine €56—we immediately asked for sparkling water. Initially, they tried to talk us into buying a large bottle, but unfortunately, I have a fluid restriction of 1.5 liters per day, so we refused and asked for two small bottles. We ended up ordering the cheapest burger because I was tired of paying so much for a quick bite. The staff were polite and friendly, but they did want you to go for the top price. And then there was the burger we got with satay sauce, which could have been a McDonald's burger. I've been going to the south of France for over 40 years, and there, the burgers are fatter, and they ask how you want your burger cooked. Then, the prices for things like beer, wine, and other drinks are much cheaper. If you reduce the prices of aperitifs, especially wine, soft drinks, and beer, people will stay longer and probably drink and eat more. Now, you want to get out of here quickly because otherwise, it gets too expensive.

Whilst the burger was elite, the gummi zone at the end was a nice touch and ranked in superiority.

There are no questions about the food, everything is very tasty! But keep in mind that they will add a 15% tip to your bill! Another thing: as soon as you sit down at the table, they offer to bring water, which is really comically expensive, it is better not to agree))

What a fun concept. The decor really stood out, I love the Wizard of Oz theme and enjoyed the layout. Staff were attentive, and fun. The burgers are absolutely enormous. They are tasty, but not with prime beef. Everything is fresh with good flavour, but the actual quality of the beef used is fairly average and nothing particularly special. This in itself is a bit of a shame because the premises really does stand out to be something unique and fun. I would return for cocktails and good vibes, but would rather a burger elsewhere 🍔

Not worth the price at all. Burger was full of sauce without asking at the time of ordering. They charge for every little simple thing, like 2€ for ketchup for my 8€ (small) serving of French fries that are not included with my 30€ burger. The waitress asked us if we wanted water, we said yes. 8€ for the little bottle of water. It’s just excessive

The ambiance is truly beautiful. It looks cool! The service is okay, but nothing special. The food is great, although not entirely to my taste, but that's different for everyone. Unfortunately, the prices are quite high. Despite the high-quality meat, €30-45 for just one burger without a side dish is quite a lot.

Great environment and theme. Food flavor was amazing... Especially the baked sweet potato and truffle fries. No kids options, so my kids (Under 12) shared the Kansas Burger... And ordered a 2nd one to share... Again. Very accommodating staff. If you can, ask to sit in the patio room.

However, given the prices and the fact that they add 15% for service on the bill, you might expect a slightly warmer welcome... The staff isn't exactly pleasant: even bitter Parisians would seem friendlier. Too bad, because a smile costs nothing and it would really change the experience.

I've dined twice at the Burger Room in Amsterdam with my partner, and it's a place that never fails to impress. Located a stone's throw from the MoCo Museum and the Rijksmuseum, the restaurant first captivates with its visual world inspired by The Wizard of Oz: polished decor, immersive atmosphere, and thoughtful references down to the smallest details. It's a true feast for the eyes, and the experience begins as soon as you enter. The food, however, has mixed feelings. We tried the foie gras burgers, accompanied by the enormous ice cream sundae for dessert. While the overall experience was quite good, the foie gras frankly disappointed me: lacking character, average texture... Perhaps I'm too picky about foie gras as a French person, but I expected more, especially at this price point. On the other hand, the other dishes were well-prepared, the ingredients seemed high-quality, the portions generous, and the desserts very indulgent. Special mention goes to the service: welcoming, professional, and attentive. We left with mixed feelings: a magnificent place, a pleasant experience, but the cuisine should be more meticulous to live up to the rather hefty final bill. The price is partly justified by the location and the decor, but we hoped for a little more attention to detail on the plate.

We discovered it by chance while passing by because it was close to our hotel and wanted to try it. We liked it very much. The atmosphere, the staff's attention and the burgers were perfect. They did not turn down our request for meat, bread and tomatoes, which we went beyond the menu for our child. Thank you to everyone.

The Wizard of Oz theme was such a fun surprise! Everything, down to the munchkins was delicious and memorable! We lucked into making our way here but highly recommend others making The Burger Room planned a destination.

Very good burgers including it gluten free buns that taste like normal buns. They give you a candy burger when you pay which is a nice touch given this place is themed around the Wizard of Oz. The ambience is that of a bar at the front and cafe at the rear (which has more light). Service was really good and the food came out so fast. I would definitely recommend coming here and I will be coming back also!

The expectations were very high and the place is very expensive. The meat is tasteless. Nothing to compare to the level of the burgers in Spain where you can get dry aged meat for around 10/15 eur. As I said very expensive and no value for money. If you want just to have cocktails maybe is the right place but please save your money and skip the burgers

Tasty food with fresh ingredients, friendly staff, great decor, but too pricey to visit again. Check the included gratuity fee stipulated on the bill: in our case, the charge was higher than the percentage mentioned. We didn't mind because we liked the staff and thought it was well deserved.

We were given a really warm welcome, the atmosphere was really great, the server was attentive, it was a great evening.

This meal was way too expensive for 3 sliders, onion rings, and one mocktail. On top of expensive prices, there is also a mandatory 15% service charge. Food was decent, but not worth what we paid.

We dined here today as it was the first place we saw jumping off the tram. It was sheer chance and was the perfect spot in every way! Every little detail from the welcoming, opulent yet cozy vibe, to the incredible care from our servers (Sariana, Alice and GiGi ❤️), to the out of this world burgers and fries! Truly Top Notch! Oh, and the Wizard of Oz theme was pretty awesome!!

What a nice restaurant, what an atmosphere, what an experience and what a service.. Really delicious burgers, incredibly cool nice service and the atmosphere and the decoration.. Really a big recommendation to go and eat. Waiting time really minimal (even on a busy evening) Service super (quickly helped, lovely people, respectful and interested and thinking along about your burger) Quality food heavenly these chefs know what they are doing!! Atmosphere an experience in itself, walk around and go to the toilet, you will be amazed!! Price more expensive than a Mac or Burger King or other burger place, but after this you will never want other burgers!! For us definitely 1 to remember when we are in Amsterdam again.

Can't say enough about this place... Great theme and atmosphere, great burger, and fries were delicious. This is not your typical cheap burger place. Only knock on the place is that the water was 7.5 euros which was the same as the beer which seems ridiculous.

Food was quite good, the only reason I am giving 4 stars is because they are charging you directly a 15% tip. I mean, service and food is fine but they are not even suggesting the tip, they are demanding it in the ticket.

The service was very friendly and the exterior of the restaurant made me want to go in. The menu had a variety of items, including a tuna tataki burger and chicken. I was tempted to order the most popular burger (26 euros), but it was probably too much for most people. The customers around us all took about half of their burgers home. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered a Kansas something (15 euros), but I was still full and didn't have room for dessert. I wondered if I should have not ordered fries, especially since they were an extra charge (I ordered them without thinking about it because they recommended it). I left some, so maybe one shared between 2-3 people would have been enough. The burger was delicious, but I found it a little salty. I liked the little touches, like the lemon wedges in the water.
