Tasty food with fresh ingredients, friendly staff, great decor, but too pricey to visit again. Check the included gratuity fee stipulated on the bill: in our case, the charge was higher than the percentage mentioned. We didn't mind because we liked the staff and thought it was well deserved.

Went here for dinner last Friday. What a beautifully decorated restaurant and the service was really great, nice ladies. super clean and beautiful. the food was also REALLY tasty, you get a really big burger, what an art to eat it neatly. I had the veggie patty and it was sooooo tasty!!! I can recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a tasty burger! this is a whole experience.

5 starts everywhere, this restaurant is AMAZINGG. The price matched the value of what you get. The burger filled me up so much and I got the simplest version. The interior and pretty. Literally 10 starts if possible !!!!!

Great night had here with my wife during our visit to Amsterdam. Our first night, we ate this fantastic Italian restaurant and wondered if the second night could ever compare - well it certainly did! We walked in without a reservation and was met and served by the lovely Katheryn who stated she only had space at the bar. After we ordered drinks and our food, about ten - fifteen minutes had lapsed and she confirmed there was now a table for us to have if we wanted.... nice touch! The food was very nice and the cocktails were also amazing. MY wife doesn't usually like burgers, but she said this was the best she had ever eaten! Thanks again, would recommend!

This Oz themed Wagyu burger joint sets a new level in “burger experiences”. Our family loved the theme the food was delicious. Katerina was a great server! If you get a chance get the Freak Shake it’s like 3 desserts in one.

I went to this restaurant after visiting the museum, but I was short on time and had to rush to catch my boat ride, so I was eating in a hurry. I made a bit of a mess and didn’t finish my food—I left a piece of bread on the plate that I couldn't finish. I really liked the food, so I didn't want to waste it, but I was trying to eat quickly before my next destination. After I stepped out of the restaurant, I heard the waitress say something that sounded like “disgusting.” I'm not sure if she was referring to my messy plate or if it was because I was talking with food in my mouth with them. ( I did cover my mouth when I talked, but it really bothered me for a while.) I really hope she was referring to something else. Additionally, I noticed the sign at the front door that said, “Sunglasses off.” I don’t understand why people can’t wear sunglasses inside the restaurant. Lastly, the automatic 15% service fee feels like a scam. Watch out!! I truly hope my experience was just a misunderstanding, because the food was great, or they’re being racist.

After visiting the Van Gogh Museum, I visited for a meal. The staff was friendly and the food was very delicious. The price varies depending on the choice of two types of meat (Angus or Wagyu) for each menu, but no matter which meat you choose, the dish will bring out the best flavor. The French fries I ordered together were also very good, and the Heineken also balanced the meal. It was a bit pricey, but it was worth it.

The quality is excellent, and the atmosphere isn't typical of a burger joint, but rather a restaurant. The prices are in line with what they offer. You can choose between Angus or Wagyu beef. The fries with paramesan cheese and truffle mayonnaise are highly recommended!

Hello to all. I've discovered this amazing restaurant with my girlfriend, cousin and he's wife. This place is in a great location I recommend getting reservations a day before. The food, drinks, and service was on point. I highly recommend coming here if you're visiting Amsterdam for the first time. I've been coming to Amsterdam now since 2017 from California and it's becoming one of my stops for sure. Cheers 🥂

Some of the best burgers and onion rings I’ve ever had. I loved the atmosphere and attention to detail with the decor and menu design. Received fantastic service from Sariana as well. She was so sweet and had great recommendations!

I was so excited to try this place in Amsterdam and it did not disappoint. Food and drink choices offered something for everyone. Our server Sariana was very helpful in answering our questions about the menu and making recommendations. I had the Wagyu sliders which they call Munchkins. It was a great way to have a sample of three different burgers on the menu and they were all flavorful and the ingredients on them well curated. My niece had the vegetarian option which she loved (soy burger topped with a portobello). We shared onion rings which had an amazing tangy sauce with them. I got the Smoke and Mirrors cocktail which was beautiful as well as extremely yummy. For dessert we had the caramel parfait which was very light and was the perfect end to the meal. Will definitely come back again next time I am in Amsterdam.

This place is great! Clean. Super service people. Very decent burger & excellent fries. And clean generous sinks to wash-up before and after the tasty burger is consumed. I say this place is definitely worth the visit. Price is ok too. Fine for a friends and family meal. They charge for the mayo. That’s a Dutch thing, I think.

Not only was the food amazing but the whole environment was a beautiful experience. Starting with the service that was nice and just had an amazing attitude and just fun to interact with. The food was excellent and the drinks were a treat. I really enjoyed the time spent there and will definitely visit again.

Amazing, magical place. Decor and details taken care of to the max, with colors like emerald green, black and gold that make everything really very pleasant to look at. Obviously the "Wizard of OZ" theme chosen for the place definitely gives that magical touch to the environment. The staff is really very kind, welcoming and smiling. They have gluten free options, which was essential for us because my partner is celiac. The burgers are delicious, tasty and everything is of excellent quality. In addition to the sandwiches I recommend ordering "Oven baked sweet potato" as a side dish, really excellent. Another tip (which may sound strange) is to go downstairs to the bathroom... once you enter, you'll understand! :) Highly recommended place!

It may seem strange to receive 5 stars in all three categories and only collect 4 in total, but each case has an explanation. Let's start with the comment on the location, spacey, spectacular, unique, in the most glamorous neighborhood of Amsterdam, the Burger Room leaves nothing to chance. Furnishings, mis en Place, staff all perfect. Service is excellent, great attention, smiles and jokes. Excellent explanation of the dishes and combinations with cocktails. Food? Top one of the best hamburgers I've eaten in my life. Also appreciated a lot by my wife and daughter. One star less because, quality price we are not there, it is true that quality has to be paid and I agree otherwise a person goes to fast food, but I already spend 87 euros for 3 hamburgers, 2 beers and a water, the fries are not offered but cost 10 euros!!! A portion of fries from the guys, but grand finale 15% commission like in the States. Here guys we are in Amsterdam, the tourist tax is already unsustainable, moreover if every restaurant were to apply your policy, in 4 days a family leaves 200 euros as a lost fund. For the rest highly recommended

Really nice atmosphere, casual but upscale at the same time. The staff were very friendly, polite and accommodating and the food was delicious, the service was also timely. Will definiately visit again.

Delicious chicken burger, tasty fries with parmesan and a good glass of wine. The burger was generously portioned. Fries were in a very small container, certainly for that price. Wine glass was also not generously filled. At the end, a semi-voluntary 15% service charge. In short, food and service were great, but the price/quality ratio is not right.

Love the ambience of this place, this was our first lunch meal as we landed Amsterdam and was very happy we chose to dine here.. the burgers are done into perfection … the milkshake desert fills me up with a huge smile on our faces.. the barbecues is a bit too sweet for us but it’s okay. Over all we are happy with our meal.. it’s a little bit more expensive but it’s worth it!..

Great food. Truffle fries incredible. Wonderful burgers. Had the 3 Wagyu sliders and they were all excellent. Service was very inattentive. Three different servers came by for drink order, food order and then payment. None seemed to have responsibility for the table. Had to wait very long time for drink refills and to pay out. They all just disappeared—- despite half empty restaurant.

Fun place with quirky Wizard of Oz decor. Very convenient for lunch in between museum stops. Food was excellent. Wagyu sliders excellent and truffle Mac & Cheese was best ever. After food drop off they all just disappeared and were hard to find for drink refills and payment.

AWESOME Wagyu and lobster burger(Twister) and the double Wagyu patty burger yummy (the scarecrow) were the best. We had wonderful drinks( your majesty and the old fashioned were perfectly made, and for the dessert we had the Glinda sundae and an espresso martini- perfect combo The server Katarina was wonderful, she was courteous, professional, and fun. That made it even better.

I had a great experience at The Burger Room. The food was absolutely delicious and served incredibly fast, maybe even a little too fast, as it left less time to chat and enjoy the moment. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. I asked for my painkillers, and they brought them to me in a funny and original way, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere and interior design are also beautiful. I will definitely come back here. So far, this has been my best restaurant experience.

Nuestro grupo de 6 tuvo el placer de cenar aquí 2 de las últimas 3 noches. Las hamburguesas son fantásticas y se presentan muy bien con precios que empiezan en 14€. Hay una buena selección de cervezas y vinos y también se pueden obtener cócteles. El personal es muy amable y genial en sus trabajos. Asegúrate de ir a los baños para la experiencia completa del Mago de Oz. Recomendado!!!

First time here and it was amazing. Our waiter was really friendly, did not rush things and had some great suggestions. The atmosphere was great and the Wizard of Ozz theme was unexpected but really cool. The food was delicious: perfect burger, lots of options. Last but not least: the cocktails: fantastic. Each burger had its own matched cocktail. All in all a perfect experience. Keep up the good work guys and thank you all!

Went here with my friend who loves burgers! The interior of this place is amazing: 10/10. The food is really good too. We had two burgers including one surf and turf. The lobster thermidor was incredible! Props to the chef haha. I dont know how I feel about the service fee though.

The best burger in the whole world I have ever had. The meat is slightly smokey, the bacon is crispy, the sauce is perfect for the burger.

For me it is in the top 5 of the best hamburgers I have ever tried. There are many things to choose from as you can choose the type of meat in this case it is either black angus or wagyu. Some hamburgers with an exquisite and juicy flavor. The decoration is very nice and I would recommend anyone who was going to Amsterdam to go here.

Lindo restaurante con increíbles hamburguesas y bebidas! Mi marido pidió el espantapájaros pero con una sola empanada. Pedí el juego de 3 munchkins. Partimos los aros de cebolla y pedimos diferentes salsas para mojar. Teníamos reservas y tomamos el metro para llegar allí. El restaurante está en el museo y el distrito comercial de alta gama. Nuestro servidor, Sariana, era muy servicial y dio grandes recomendaciones. ¡Encantado de conocerla!

Extremely overpriced for what it is. Cocktails were all over €15 and not as good as they should shave been for that price. They also wouldn’t let our table of 4 sit outside because they only had seatings for 2 and 6 & wouldn’t let us push tables together (that was next to each other anyways)

3.5 rounded down. Really hard to review this place, but here we go: Pros: Interesting Wizard of Oz theme, beautiful interior (really, even the toilets, they went all out!), tasty burgers and sides (especially the onion rings), good beer selection, friendly staff, nice location near museumpleim, no kids under 5 allowed so it was calm and a nice atmosphere, they give a little candy burger with the bill which is very cute. Cons: we wanted another round of drinks but they kind of just booted us out after they took our empty plates and we said we didn't want dessert, we were going to ask later for another drink but they brought the bill without asking us and it felt like they wanted us to move on. Also the cocktail was self-shake, which I think they thought was cute and whimsical but actually I don't want to pay that much for a drink and have to do the admin myself. Finally I dislike anywhere where gratuity is added on automatically. We were a group of 4 so not large, and unlike America tipping isn't part of the culture here. We heard some people complain and the waiter told them it wasn't mandatory and could be removed, but they know that people feel awkward doing that, it's very tricky. We paid it, we were going to leave a tip anyway, but it leaves a sour taste in our mouths unfortunately.

The best vegan burger I have EVER had! Fantastic decor and atmosphere. We were lucky to get a walk-in table. Service was great and the staff were very accommodating when wanting to add/remove burger ingredients. Two of our party had meat burgers (one chicken, one beef) and they said they were delicious too. Amazing find!

Very cool “Wizard of Oz” themed restaurant. We sat in the conservatory, which is a beautiful all glass room. The staff was outstanding, very welcoming and attentive. The burger was great, cooked perfect and more than I could eat. The chicken sandwich was outstanding and the Oz (onion) rings were amazing. 10/10, a place you don’t want to miss when you’re in Amsterdam.

They seemed overly focused on getting paid, to the point that it became annoying. While I was waiting for my friend—just 5 to 10 minutes—they asked me 2 or 3 times if I wanted to order a drink. Once my friend arrived, we said we’d look at the menu and order food and drinks together. Then, without asking, they moved her tumbler bottle to the sofa, at other side of the table. That felt unnecessary and rude—touching a customer’s personal item like that isn’t okay. They also used a few cheesy tactics. For example, at the end, they brought the bill with a 15% service charge already added. This isn’t mandatory in the Netherlands, and they didn’t mention it beforehand. Only when we asked if it’s a must they were happily removing it but it already felt a bit passive aggressive. Food was ok, in every perspective - the price and location. But I would avoid to come here.

3 stars because the 15% service was a bit of a surprise - it could be written inconspicuously in the menu (Attention: 15% service optional! Or something like that, no?). Anyway, decent burger (Scarecrow). Tasty meat, perfect medium though the cheese was a bit gloomy. Nice service and the Oz theme is quite charming.

It’s fun, delicious, and the staff is super friendly! When we arrived, they were very warm and welcoming. Our waiter gave us honest and helpful recommendations, which we really appreciated. I got the Lion Is No Chicken burger + Fries and my friend had the Scarecrow and fries with pulled pork. Both were packed with flavour and was absolutely delicious. I especially loved the hint of mango in my burger — it totally surprised me! At first, I wasn’t sure if it would work, but I ordered it anyway just to try, and I ended up loving it. I also ordered a freak shake with my meal — which I honestly wouldn’t recommend to everyone. It’s a lot, with cookies, ice cream, and all the extras. But if you’re like me and love sweet and salty together, it’s definitely worth trying — just make sure you come hungry! Alternatively, it works great as a dessert. Either way, I’d recommend sharing it with someone, because it’s more than enough for two. PS: My photography skills don’t do the freak shake any justice — it’s way better than it looks in the picture!

I think this place may be a tourist trap. We came here because of the decent reviews and were very disappointed. It feels like the entire setup is designed just to fool you and get as much money out of you as possible. They immediately ask if you want still or sparkling water, and you naturally assume that "still" means tap water, like in most other restaurants where it’s provided for free. But no — they bring you tap water and charge 7 euros for it! The burgers don’t come with sides — you have to pay extra for them, even though the burger prices are already pretty premium and should include fries. The cherry on top was the 15% tip that they include in the bill. Only after checking other reviews did I see that the owner claims the tip isn’t mandatory. But that’s just not true — they print it on the bill, which puts psychological pressure on the customer. Almost everyone will assume the 15% is required and pay it. I have no idea why this restaurant still hasn’t changed its attitude toward this 15%, or just removed it altogether — but I guess money doesn’t smell, and they don’t really care about customers! Such a disappointment!

Burgers that will leave neither your taste buds nor your stomach indifferent. Quality and quantity at the rendezvous! Classic but devilishly effective recipes! A very marked identity in terms of decoration! A superb place to discover!

Excellent burgers!!! Being French and not knowing the restaurant at all, we found it surprising that there were no fries on the side, so we took the extra fries WITHOUT knowing the size of the burgers! They are very generous, we then understood why the burgers are sold alone, we recommend 100%!!

If you want to go for a burger, just go here... best units of burger cooked to perfection! Sandwiches are also great, they cost a bit, but they are definitely worth it!

I was very upset to hear that you would not serve us tap water. I searched this and it is a legal requirement to offer this if someone requests it. I had a child with me so would have thought even more important. Whilst the food and restaurant were lovely this did change my opinion of the place. Tap water is better for the environment which makes me think you value profit over planet. The food was delicious. We did wait a long time for our plates to be removed and for the bill to come. Thanks. Look forward to returning next time and being offered tap water!!

I ordered a wagyu burger and frites. The frites were fresh and tasty, and the burger was juicy. Generally, toppings were mediocre and the full burger was good but not outstanding. Service did not seem to care much that I was there - I ate solo at the bar. Kind, but inattentive.

We had a delicious meal! First a delicious The Lion is no Chicken burger, Chili and Parmesan Truffle fries and finally a delicious dessert, namely the Witch Brew and the Haunted Forest Cake ❤️! The service is also really great! Also really nice how the restaurant is decorated. Completely in style of The Wizard of Oz! Definitely recommended to go! 😍🍔

The Burger Room has an extraordinary atmosphere and friendly staff. We enjoyed their Kansas burger, which was cooked to perfection, and the burger sauce complemented the juicy beef patty well. The parmesan truffle fries with garlic mayo dressing were delicious.

I absolutely loved everything! First of all, the decor is incredible! The drinks and food are named after the Wizard of Oz. I ordered a “Judy Garland” and it comes with a little bow, adorable! The burgers are very tasty. The service was great, friendly and efficient. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Great, very welcoming. The waiter even spoke French and other languages ​​that I don't know, which is very practical for understanding the menu. We had clear explanations and answers to our questions. The mocktails are very good. The burgers are excellent and the meat is so tender, a real treat. We came to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and we loved the experience. We will definitely come back if we pass through Amsterdam another time 👍

We were so disappointed at the 15% service fee without any notice on the menu and the service was terrible. When we decided not to order any drink as we are in hurry, the waitress gave us a look of despise. It is our first meal on arrival to this beautiful city. To be honest the attitude and the unexpected high service fee from this restaurant scared us. The other restaurant did not have such irrational service fee without any notice.

Absolutely fabulous birthday dinner! The food and service were fantastic and we greatly enjoyed the evening. The staff were friendly, efficient and informative, making recommendations for the evening and beyond. The restaurant itself looks great and was clean with a good atmosphere. When we come back to Amsterdam, we will be sure to visit The Burger Room again :)

This place was a great find! Very cool atmosphere. There's a Wizard of Oz theme about the place, but it's not overdone. The food was excellent. We did the waygu tasting, which was 3 slider size burgers. We also ordered truffle mac n cheese and some parmesan fries. Hearty food that didn't sit too heavy after eating. Great spot to eat if you're visiting around the museums or Vondelpark.
