A burger for €19 is outrageous! There are no meal deals to buy, you have to order everything separately. The mozzarella sticks and chicken strips are good. You could tell the meat was frozen.

Be careful when the bill arrives: sauces are €5 each, and this isn't mentioned on the menu. So, if you automatically answer "yes" when the waiter asks for "ketchup, mayo?", it's an extra €10! Similarly, a 40cl bottle of Kronenbourg will cost you €10 (a price not listed on the menu). The burger itself is decent and certainly filling, but the patty is thick and overcooked, giving it a slightly rough texture, like the soles of Doc Martens. The fries are frozen. In short, it's expensive for what it is, and leaves a slightly bitter taste of feeling ripped off.

WARNING: TOURIST TRAP! I've never had such an experience. From the outside, the burger joint looks very inviting, but as soon as you sit down, it all starts to go wrong: bad atmosphere and very cheap furnishings. The owner was extremely unfriendly. I ordered a burger for €17, half of which was missing and the wrong part. I pointed this out to the staff, but they weren't interested in finding a solution. The €7 Coke wasn't great either, but hey, prices are prices. Then the worst part: they tried to rip me off, just because I'm blonde and blue-eyed. He covered up the price on the bill and told me it was a higher price. When I pointed out his mistake, he tried again with a lower price, which was also higher than it actually was. An absolute disaster! Don't go there under any circumstances. Have fun on your trip to Amsterdam! :)

Staff treaded people horribly. Constantly being disrespectful towards clients. Multiple clients left before ordering, unfortunately we had all ready ordered our food. Once we received our order we were shocked to see a simple burger that feels like i ordered from a neighbourhood cafeteria not an Amsterdam burger shop. Unmelted cheese, no sauce for the bourbon burger (whole point of this burger is the sauce), and a random cold piece of mozzarella stick that was not suppose to be there. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Better of eating at McDonald’s. I do have to give credit where credit is due, the cola tasted nice and was cold 😉

The staff was rude to customers and kept rushing people to leave if they weren’t going to order. It felt like they couldn’t handle the stress, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. The food was also not that great.

0/10 – Avoid at all costs Easily one of the worst burger experiences I’ve ever had. The burger was dry, tasteless, and poorly made — nothing about it was enjoyable. The service was even worse. The staff were incredibly rude, and at one point we were actually shouted at, which is completely unacceptable.

Decent burger, had no complaints with the food, but it was stressful trying to pay separately, he refused to actually help. Was pressured into reviewing, even when one person started reviewing he made everyone else get their phones out to review ... Little intense.

Avoid at all costs! The worst place we went to during our stay in Amsterdam, by far. Everything is frozen, even though the owner tells us otherwise. He showed very little remorse when I simply gave him my opinion about the meat, which was like cardboard, just like everything else. Very expensive for such poor quality; it wouldn't be worth it even for free, let alone €19 for a burger.

Terrible. The burger photos have nothing to do with the burger you actually get. It's a rip-off and ridiculously expensive. A simple burger that looks nothing like the picture (not even the ingredients were on it), fries, ketchup, mayonnaise, and a beer: 34 euros. I repeat, it's a rip-off. If the burger were exactly like the picture, I wouldn't be writing this review, but it's a blatant scam. I ate the whole thing because after what I was going to pay, I figured I might as well eat it…

Me and my friends wanted burgers and we saw this place looked nice as soon as we got in we actually noticed it's empty so we think nothing about it order food and drinks the prices for the burgers is honestly outrageous burgers were nice they forgot my chips and bacon. 4.50€ for a small water is insanity 4 friends all of us had burgers 3 had fries and all of us drinks ended up being 110€ do not recommend going in there

Okay, now I'm going to be salty! First night in Amsterdam, we stumble upon this restaurant with its pretty decor. We check the Google reviews, they're good, so why not try a nice burger? Damn, what a mistake, what a terrible lack of intuition on our part. We go in, nobody's there. Fine. We order from the owner or the cleaner, we don't really know who's who or who does what anyway. We can't understand a word they're saying, but never mind. The menu has exorbitant prices (yes, 400g for a burger), okay, but 400g of reinforced concrete, the patty is asphalt. Want a glass of water? €3.50. Bottled water maybe? €5 for 15cl. The frozen fries are like supermarket fare, well, I guess. I'll come back to the steak; according to the owner, it's "100% 100% beef." Personally, I think he mixes mutton and lamb and smashes it under his big Nike sole. I can't see any other explanation. And by "smash," the thing must be at least 5 centimeters thick. Anyway... An interaction with the owner about why they were serving such garbage at that price led him to tell us it was our fault because we'd probably smoked hash before coming, which had affected our palates 🤷‍♂️ The highlight of the show was the bill =) 130 euros for three people. He literally refused to split it three ways, saying that's just how it is here and we just have to shut up. He said he had better things to do than split it three ways; you pay in full and that's that, you don't have a choice 🤷‍♂️ After raising our voices, we finally got our way and were able to divide it between us! Victory! In short, never again. An absolute disgrace. I'm currently in the bathroom trying to flush this filth out of my system. I'm praying to God I don't get sick! It's not looking good! Thank you Burger N cheese!

Incredibly delicious burgers, without a doubt the best we've ever had. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and everything is incredibly fresh. The service was also very friendly, and we immediately felt welcome. It's a bit more expensive, but honestly, every cent and euro is worth it. We'll definitely be back!

The employee or owner, when serving us and ordering, didn't think there was much food, gave us a dirty look and gave us poor service, so we decided to leave. A very bad experience.

To put it briefly and clearly, you should skip this place quickly for the following reasons: 1. Given the name and the limited selection, you'd expect a good burger place. What you get, however, is a very basic burger (frozen patty, hard and dry, tasteless iceberg lettuce, and only mayo as a sauce, which makes the burger bland). The vegan patties tasted of nothing. A far cry from the burgers pictured on the menu. But that's for €19 per burger. 2. The atmosphere is extremely cheap and unpleasant; only one person is there to serve and prepare the food. It's understandable that the simplest and quickest preparation methods have to be used for this. 3. How they handle criticism - we complained that the mayo tasted rancid and old and that one meal was completely spoiled. The response was a shrug and silence. If I hadn't insisted on not paying for the spoiled food, we would have been charged the normal amount. After a brief discussion, which left the bartender offended, he at least removed this meal from the bill. But even the €75 that still remained was dramatically too much for such an experience. We were just glad to get out.

After a night at work, I was hungry and walked by. The restaurant didn't look particularly fancy, but it was clean and had some pleasant music playing. A friendly man named Sobhy made me a burger. I can honestly say it's the best burger I've ever had. Not for the faint of heart, though. Afterward, I got a limoncello on the house. Thanks, Sobhy, see you next time.

A place owned by an Egyptian man named Sophie, a charming and cute man and simply a sweetheart of a person. The food was delicious, all the burgers are large and exaggerated for those who like it. I especially recommend the Jalapeno cheese fingers which were crazy. Perfect meal

We visited the restaurant during a late-night stroll through Amsterdam. Unfortunately, it wasn't open much at the time. The waitress was initially very friendly and, even though he seemed to be closing soon, still prepared something for us to eat. The food was okay, but nothing special. The surprise came when I wanted to pay. €63 for a burger, a portion of fries, a Fanta, and two beers was quite a surprise. I then told the waitress what I was doing. After that, the mood completely changed, and the guy continued to hurl insults at us until we left the restaurant. These prices may be normal for Amsterdam, but they could have been presented in a friendlier way. Two stars for the initial friendliness, but because of the rudeness, I'll definitely never go back. Better to go to bed hungry.

Super recommendation here in Amsterdam. A huge hamburger with a fantastic BBQ flavour. If I come back in a future, I will not think twice where to eat.

Good hamburger but no excitement

Don’t waste your time and money, burgers are not good

the thing is if u really want cancel your order in a polite way,chef is just starts to scream at your face and threaten you with calling the police. So when you are in a hurry and if u didnt even get your food u cannot cancel it and they dont treat customer with polite way. what shame really… but at least things didn’t get escalated.

A case for Peter Giesel / Beware of rip-offs The food didn't taste good at all and it didn't look like it did in the pictures, more like a cheeseburger from McDonald's and they charged almost 20 euros for a burger. We paid 170 euros for 5 burgers & a side dish. One of the reasons for this was that 1 beer was charged at 12 euros. Classic tourist rip-off shop, it's better to avoid it. All the 5 star reviews seem to be bought.

Amazing burger, friendly staff!

Strange atmosphere, loud music, expensive prices and a shouting and aggressive owner as soon as you indicate that you are dissatisfied with something. The fact that he did this with aggression in front of my young children was downright ridiculous considering they felt unsafe. We went to eat elsewhere with normal hospitable service.
