Food is absolutely amazing. Ingredients were fresh, especially the meat. The person responsible here(probably the owner) is very friendly and kind, and it’s a lovely atmosphere. Visiting this place is totally worth it.

Okay, now I'm going to be salty! First night in Amsterdam, we stumble upon this restaurant with its pretty decor. We check the Google reviews, they're good, so why not try a nice burger? Damn, what a mistake, what a terrible lack of intuition on our part. We go in, nobody's there. Fine. We order from the owner or the cleaner, we don't really know who's who or who does what anyway. We can't understand a word they're saying, but never mind. The menu has exorbitant prices (yes, 400g for a burger), okay, but 400g of reinforced concrete, the patty is asphalt. Want a glass of water? €3.50. Bottled water maybe? €5 for 15cl. The frozen fries are like supermarket fare, well, I guess. I'll come back to the steak; according to the owner, it's "100% 100% beef." Personally, I think he mixes mutton and lamb and smashes it under his big Nike sole. I can't see any other explanation. And by "smash," the thing must be at least 5 centimeters thick. Anyway... An interaction with the owner about why they were serving such garbage at that price led him to tell us it was our fault because we'd probably smoked hash before coming, which had affected our palates 🤷‍♂️ The highlight of the show was the bill =) 130 euros for three people. He literally refused to split it three ways, saying that's just how it is here and we just have to shut up. He said he had better things to do than split it three ways; you pay in full and that's that, you don't have a choice 🤷‍♂️ After raising our voices, we finally got our way and were able to divide it between us! Victory! In short, never again. An absolute disgrace. I'm currently in the bathroom trying to flush this filth out of my system. I'm praying to God I don't get sick! It's not looking good! Incredibly delicious burgers, without a doubt the best we've ever had. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and everything is incredibly fresh. The service was also very friendly, and we immediately felt welcome. It's a bit more expensive, but honestly, every cent and euro is worth it. We'll definitely be back!

The employee or owner, when serving us and ordering, didn't think there was much food, gave us a dirty look and gave us poor service, so we decided to leave. A very bad experience.

To put it briefly and clearly, you should skip this place quickly for the following reasons: 1. Given the name and the limited selection, you'd expect a good burger place. What you get, however, is a very basic burger (frozen patty, hard and dry, tasteless iceberg lettuce, and only mayo as a sauce, which makes the burger bland). The vegan patties tasted of nothing. A far cry from the burgers pictured on the menu. But that's for €19 per burger. 2. The atmosphere is extremely cheap and unpleasant; only one person is there to serve and prepare the food. It's understandable that the simplest and quickest preparation methods have to be used for this. 3. How they handle criticism - we complained that the mayo tasted rancid and old and that one meal was completely spoiled. The response was a shrug and silence. If I hadn't insisted on not paying for the spoiled food, we would have been charged the normal amount. After a brief discussion, which left the bartender offended, he at least removed this meal from the bill. But even the €75 that still remained was dramatically too much for such an experience. We were just glad to get out.

After a night at work, I was hungry and walked by. The restaurant didn't look particularly fancy, but it was clean and had some pleasant music playing. A friendly man named Sobhy made me a burger. I can honestly say it's the best burger I've ever had. Not for the faint of heart, though. Afterward, I got a limoncello on the house. Thanks, Sobhy, see you next time.

A place owned by an Egyptian man named Sophie, a charming and cute man and simply a sweetheart of a person. The food was delicious, all the burgers are large and exaggerated for those who like it. I especially recommend the Jalapeno cheese fingers which were crazy. Perfect meal

We visited the restaurant during a late-night stroll through Amsterdam. Unfortunately, it wasn't open much at the time. The waitress was initially very friendly and, even though he seemed to be closing soon, still prepared something for us to eat. The food was okay, but nothing special. The surprise came when I wanted to pay. €63 for a burger, a portion of fries, a Fanta, and two beers was quite a surprise. I then told the waitress what I was doing. After that, the mood completely changed, and the guy continued to hurl insults at us until we left the restaurant. These prices may be normal for Amsterdam, but they could have been presented in a friendlier way. Two stars for the initial friendliness, but because of the rudeness, I'll definitely never go back. Better to go to bed hungry.

Super recommendation here in Amsterdam. A huge hamburger with a fantastic BBQ flavour. If I come back in a future, I will not think twice where to eat.

Total rip-off! Bad food and only one guy who "takes care" of (if you can call it that) service and food – totally disorganized and pushy. The burgers are rubbish for the price. Hard to beat the third-rate. Never again!

Good hamburger but no excitement

Simple but very nice. Small menu but still very good burgers. Service was friendly and very quick. Atmosphere also nice but there are better places if you want to stay a little longer.

Walked into shop and realised this wasn’t our spot to eat so decided to go. . The owner got offended and flipped out and swore at us. He Was very rude and didn’t stop talking until we left Wish him the best of luck but but I wouldn’t be returning.

We entered the restaurant and weren’t sure if we would order something, then we got the menu and there were many things taken off, the prices were high and we felt insecure and pressured by the impatience of the chef. As we decided to go without ordering food there he got very rude and insulted us. Would not recommend to eat there!!

Don’t waste your time and money, burgers are not good

the thing is if u really want cancel your order in a polite way,chef is just starts to scream at your face and threaten you with calling the police. So when you are in a hurry and if u didnt even get your food u cannot cancel it and they dont treat customer with polite way. what shame really… but at least things didn’t get escalated.

A case for Peter Giesel / Beware of rip-offs The food didn't taste good at all and it didn't look like it did in the pictures, more like a cheeseburger from McDonald's and they charged almost 20 euros for a burger. We paid 170 euros for 5 burgers & a side dish. One of the reasons for this was that 1 beer was charged at 12 euros. Classic tourist rip-off shop, it's better to avoid it. All the 5 star reviews seem to be bought.

Amazing burger, friendly staff!

Strange atmosphere, loud music, expensive prices and a shouting and aggressive owner as soon as you indicate that you are dissatisfied with something. The fact that he did this with aggression in front of my young children was downright ridiculous considering they felt unsafe. We went to eat elsewhere with normal hospitable service.

We were very hungry when we got there, outside, we already saw that the burgers were overpriced, still wanted to give it a try. As we sat down, we asked if we could go upstairs, the waiter said no because a group had a reservation- which we did understand. we were sat right next to the door where it was quite cold, so we asked if we could close the door. after we said that, the waiter was annoyed but closed it. it was very strange that we were the only customers in this restaurant, apart from the group of men that sat upstairs. the waiter gave us the menu, where half of the things we saw outside weren’t even on the menu card. after a small amount of time the waiter stressed us that we should order our food because they had this group upstairs which have to be served. the group upstairs was extremely loud. they were listening to very loud music and were talking/ laughing extremely over the “sound-level” which normally is in a restaurant, even a fast food restaurant. as we were waiting for our food, we saw a half naked girl that went upstairs to the group (was probably a prostitute) and after that the music went louder and you can imagine what else. a group of boys also came inside, sat down, and after 5 minutes or so, went out again, I regret that we didn’t do the same thing. as we got our food it was NOTHING like on the menu. as we tried to eat it, we already got suspicious and a bit sick, because it was that bad. me and my friend went outside because we couldn’t stand it anymore to sit there. our boyfriends payed for the food and also went outside. the food is not worth 65 euros if we can’t even eat it.

0/5 stars Avoid this place. Overpriced burgers that you couldn’t eat unless you wanted to be violently sick. Chicken ‘fillet burger’ was two little frozen burgers that must have been in the freezer for 10 years- absolutely black and discoloured.

Big scam! We paid €63 for a burger that was supposed to be high-quality, but in reality, it was mechanically reconstituted meat instead of the good meat advertised. The taste was horrible, truly inedible, and to top it all off, we got sick after eating it. Two drinks and two fries didn't make up for it... Honestly, at that price, it's pure and simple theft. Avoid it at all costs if you value your health and your wallet!

Good burgers, delicious and filling, I recommend accompanying them with some onion or potato rings, impeccable bathrooms and subtle and friendly service.

Burgers very expensive ! Around 18€ without fries… Fries cost 5€ additional… At this price you would expect great steak yet the meat is very debatable… Watch out tourists, water very pricy and sauces not free (1,5€ for small pot). The overall burger is not to bad yet not at all the value of it’s price ! And the worker was very irritating and not at all welcoming… I do not recommend…

Worst restaurant in Amsterdam, scam with really bad, overpriced burgers without fries (which are advertised as homemade and are in reality frozen). The sauces are chargeable (!) and the staff is not friendly and does not respect hygiene, to avoid. Photo of the inedible streak.

8,50€ for a water bottle less than 1L, 1,50€ for a tiny container of mayonnaise, burgers are very forgettable and the fries are not cooked enough (Frozen fries of course). The man justified his prices by invoking really expensives local taxes but it's him the robber...

Tourist trap. Burgers are not real meat but mechanically separated junk. Prices are also quite high while not including fries by default.

We went to the place. It wasn’t welcoming and the menu wasn’t inspiring at all. It was definitely overpriced and we could feel the quality wasn’t decent at all. The owner forced us to pay to use the toilets and was rude to us. We left!

Restaurant that is clean. OK burger.. although too salty. Be careful when paying your bill, carefully check the content of the invoice. When we passed drinks we were added even though we had only consumed two. So 10 euros extra on the bill!

Avoid This Place – Worst Experience Ever If I could give zero stars, I would. We came as a family – 3 people, including our baby – and regretted it immediately. After changing our baby’s diaper, we decided to order something small to be polite – just chicken tenders. While our baby was still eating, the owner angrily told us to leave because he “needed the table,” even though there were plenty of empty ones. I explained we’d leave as soon as our baby finished, but as we left a minute later, he glared at us and made weird hand gestures. Frustrated, we went back to ask what his problem was, and he started shouting at us for ordering just one thing. He even yelled at his employee for serving us, threatening it was her “last day.” To top it off, he spoke in Arabic about us, we did not understand. The food was also not good at all. We ended up walking 500 meters to Burger Fabriek and had a much better experience. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Having a young child with us, we asked if they could heat the baby's meal, the person refused. We wanted to leave and the person at reception started shouting at us even though we hadn't even ordered yet, a mean and bad person. I will never set foot here again and I invite everyone to do the same.

Expensive burgers that look nothing like the pictures on the menu. Fries were frozen and obviously not 'homemade' as advertised.

I didn't read the reviews before settling into this restaurant, I relied on the Google rating. What a mistake... Although the boss was very friendly, the food was really not good. I think I ate the worst burger of my life... The meat is catastrophic, the fries are frozen. Beer is excessively expensive. In short, 33 euros for 2 half, a burger and fries of this quality were really not a good deal.

Ambience is okay, but food is not recommended. Crispy chicken burger is absolutely not justified for the price (€19), the consistency of the “chicken” burger is absolutely questionable. Neither visually nor taste-wise it is unreasonable for anyone.

In the menu, the options seems like all included (to have fries and drink costs 5 Euros extra), however, they charged 5 Euros each for fries and charged also our two drink extra 7,80 Euros. Also, they don’t even bother to service ketchup and mayonnaise side to one regular, and one 400 grams burgers. We asked those, and then we see that the price of ketchup and mayonnaise included the check, as 3 Euros! A very interesting experience…

Rubbish service!! I've never seen worse!! No wonder the place was empty, they scare away the customer!! The waiter is super rude and doesn't know how to work with people. The bill was brought without being asked and it was still not possible to split the bill. I asked the waiter if it was closing (it was around 3pm) and he said no. Ridiculous! I will never step foot there again and I don't recommend anyone else do the same.
