What a great place for a private drink (or silent disco party) for max. 30 people. Café Brutal has its own terrace where you can sit in the sun by the water. Would you rather sit inside? That is also possible. The café is located on the ground floor of the Watertoren and has cozy seating areas all around. The bar staff provides the drinks and any snacks you may have chosen. For the drinks I chose the snack platters, bread with dips and various snacks. And they were very popular! With various parking facilities and a station nearby, café Brutal is also easily accessible for guests from outside Utrecht.

Verstopt in de voet van de watertoren zit dit hardstikke leuke piepkleine cafeetje. Tip: bestel bij je drankje ook de super lekkere jamon iberico bellotas, en je avond kan niet meer stuk. Ook leuk: op vrijdag weten ze ook nog een DJ in de zaak te proppen, topsfeer!

What an amazing discovery! Love the vibe and the people are so friendly. Great wine selections and small bites. I had the Kaasplank- a platter with a tasting of 5 cheese which I paired with two whites ! 😋 🥰

Lange Jansstraat 28A pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, good wine selection, but the food and appetizers are completely lacking. It's a great place for a good wine, but for us, it's ruined by the overpriced supermarket meats and toast. If more attention were paid to this (or just no attention at all), you'd know what you're getting.

Predikherenstraat 19VinVin was always high on my list of places I liked to visit. That is why it was especially unfortunate that my last visit was such a letdown. Upon entering, we did not feel truly welcome. The reception was distant, and there seemed to be little interest in the guests. Additionally, it was noticeable that the staff were sitting on the terrace, while we were already told around 5:30 PM that it was the last round. That felt like a strange and unwelcoming experience. Perhaps this was just a snapshot, but the visit left a disappointing impression. Next time, I will definitely think twice before returning.

Oudegracht 158We had arranged to meet here with a group on a Saturday for coffee and a treat. Reservations are only possible inside, but they still had space in the back garden. It was in the sun and very hot, but they immediately went the extra mile. They moved tables around, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed the coffee and treats in the garden; the service was friendly, everything was perfect.
