Unfortunately, the staff is arrogant. They can't communicate in a friendly manner. If they have too much turnover, we can always go to another nice wine bar in Utrecht.

A great place for a good glass of wine. The owner is fantastic, knowledgeable and passionate about his wines and business. However, the wine tasting, which was led by someone else, was a complete disappointment. There was no background information provided about the wine, little about the taste, color, origin, or other interesting tidbits. It was a rather quick process of tasting six different wines, asking where each one came from, and then moving on to the next. The wines were all acidic, and there wasn't much variety for your palate. Such a shame... Normally, a wine tasting is complemented by small snacks that complement the flavors. This was also missing and had to be ordered separately. The leftover wine from the bottle wasn't allowed to be used; it was charged extra. The glasses were also poured with a layer of wine. There were 11 of us, and this used three-quarters of a bottle. We don't recommend the wine tasting until someone with more wine knowledge and passion is on hand.

The wine didn't go down well after another enjoyable dinner. VinVin can't do anything about it. Maybe they should think a little more about it.

Wonderful wine bar in the centre of Utrecht. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and has a fabulous selection of interesting wine. We drank a Roter Veltliner and a Anjou Chenin Blanc, both were incredible. A real gem in Utrecht

Great wines and a cozy restaurant! We enjoyed the wines the staff recommended, and the surprise platter was absolutely fantastic! Afterwards, we ordered an oven-baked Camembert, paired with a delicious red wine. We'd already been waiting half an hour for the Camembert we were so looking forward to with our glass of wine. But unfortunately, what a disappointment. It took a while for it to be served because the staff told us it was being taken out of the freezer. However, this was the worst Camembert we'd had in a long time. It tasted like plastic, or rather, no flavor at all, not creamy—a real disappointment. After we indicated that we thought something was wrong with the Camembert, we were told that this wasn't possible and that they'd already sold a lot today. In other words, we didn't feel taken seriously at all and felt like they just assumed we were making a fuss. It's a real shame; and in terms of customer service, it's incredibly poor to react this way. The Camembert plate was returned to us, but it remained on our bill. No compensation or anything, because what we said wasn't acceptable. A huge missed opportunity. We won't be back!

It could have been a wonderful experience, though we often had to ask for attention if we wanted anything; but the atmosphere was excellent. Unfortunately, the baked Camembert was a huge disappointment. It lacked very little flavor and had a somewhat plasticky texture. When we pointed this out to the staff, we were simply not taken seriously. They took half the Camembert with them, but then didn't include it on the bill; they would have left it there. The argument "it's been sold a lot today" is, of course, completely irrelevant; that doesn't make it good. The way this was handled is very disappointing, and it leaves a negative aftertaste and negative experience.

They are unaware of food allergies, which is very expensive in terms of the quality of food and services.

Nice concept, working without a wine list, asking for your preference, then letting you taste and then pouring. Small menu with various snacks and chocolate tasting.

We participated in the open wine tasting here. Tomas is a vinologist and guided us well. He knows his stuff and served good wines. The only thing is that for the more experienced wine drinkers it may be some familiar information, but for novice connoisseurs it is indispensable. Highly recommended!

Door het omwisselen van het bankje en tafeltje voor de pui konden we nog net in de zon zitten. Maar.. we kregen van de bediening de wind van voren. Het was niet de bedoeling dat er met het meubilair geschoven werd. Dat werd ons zelfs kwalijk genomen. Dat alles voor deze ‘gastheer’ op de goede plek stond, was belangrijker dan dat gasten een warm ontvangst kregen. Heel onaardig was het en na 12 jaar af en toe hier een lekker wijntje drinken komen we hier helaas niet meer terug.

Great wine bar in the heart of Utrecht! The selection is impressive, wines from all over, and they’re always switching things up, so there’s always something new to try. The staff really know their stuff and give great recommendations based on what your preference and taste. Cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed evening. I wanted to rewrite this review to make up for my previous hasty review and with that, do justice for this nice place.

We went for a few wines last Wednesday. The setting is really cozy, and even though there weren't many people, you still felt welcome and not alone. The service was okay—nothing too fast, and sometimes we had to wait a bit to order. We really recommend the truffle pizza and hopefully next time they have some more wines from the Bourgogne.

Very cozy and atmospheric place. Friendly staff. Getting the right wine is a bit difficult. Champagne was okay. Not great. Lots of choice. But the right one was still not quite there for us. But maybe that's just us. ☺️ No plant-based snacks. That's a shame. Just cheese or meat or aioli. A little more options could be nice here.

Quite a lot of choice in wines. The ones I tried were tasty. Good service. Good atmosphere, relaxed and quiet. Nice music, but soft, not too loud, so you can have a conversation I didn't eat anything except some nuts, so I can't say anything about that.

Very authentic vibe in this wine bar. The owner personally comes to your table and recommends a wine based on your preference! There are appetizers on the menu but it might be that they are not available anymore by the end of the day.

Huge choice of wine, but you can expect that. The service from the staff is top notch! It expresses true love for the divine nectar. And it's always nice when they know who the homeowner is, how many children he has and what the youngest son has been up to recently. These kinds of stories make the wine even better!

I love the location of this place, just to the side of the busiest streets and cozily situated in between some lovely old houses. The servers are always friendly. So far, I only sat outside.

Went there at opening time and the waiter nonchalantly said he is opening 2 hours late ‘because of the heat’. Dutch ‘hospitality’ in a nutshell.

Accidentally stumbled upon VinVin digitally via Google when we were looking for a wine tasting. Absolutely no regrets! Delicious wine, in-house expertise and enthusiasm, resulting in a fun and educational afternoon. Then have a drink with a delicious wine based on just finished taste with matching snacks that make you feel like you're in France for a few seconds (and that in the rainy Dutch summer). Definitely recommended! We will definitely come again when we are in the area again.

Intimate wine bar in the heart of Utrecht, love the personalized recommendations and in depth wine knowledge of the owner and his team. We had really good wines as part of a private group tasting. This is one of my favourite spots in Utrecht!!

Ik drink zelf geen wijn ;0) maar dit was echt een interessante avond, waarbij de eigenaar super gepassioneerd en met veel plezier alles over de wijnen vertelde.. ofwel.. een gezellige avond voor een groep vrienden of collega's

Been here for the first time this week. Looks like a nice idea, I had imagined a bit more of it. There is no wine list, the idea is that advice is given on what suits your taste. Can be a lot of fun, but in my opinion it should be discussed in more detail about what you like and what they have in the range. We were served a wine quite quickly, which was tasty but that was it. Seems a bit fast and commercial. I didn't find the host very friendly either.

I’ve never experienced such raucous horseplay since I was in the throws of the scenes at Arkbar back in the good auld days. Jack behind the bar was an absolute gent and provided perfect service alongside absolute carnage. Honestly man if you’re looking for the perfect prinks spot with the gents look no further.

The place is niche. If you are looking for wine in Utrecht, look no more. Vinvin was a different experience that anything that I've had before in the NL. The vast selection of grand crûs made me feel like I was back home in the South of France, and I am not even French. Ethereal real experience, thanks to the wonderful Jack and its wise advices, the man know what he is doing. Will come back soon.

We had an amazing time! The wine was delicious and our server Jack was an absolute ray of sunshine; very professional, friendly and helped us with any questions we had. Would 100% come back again!

Molt recomanable si vols pendre un bon vi, a molt bon preu i bones olives d'aperitiu per acompanyar. Els treballadors son molt amables, especialment en Jack!!!

Erg fijne bediening en een geinig concept

Fijne wijnbar, gezellig personeel. Uitgebreide wijnkennis en interessant assortiment. Ik kom hier regelmatig met plezier.

Geweldige tent. Geholpen door een zeer attente en knappe jongeman met prachtige donkerblonde manen. Wat een ervaring !

Prima service en wijn. Ik mocht mijn luier van mijn kind niet deponeren, mja dat is natuurlijk ook een gekke vraag.

Aanbevolen wijntjes gedronken, erg lekker. Service kon ietsje beter, de spullen werden om 23:00 binnen gehaald waar ze om 00:00 sluiten, gaf een beetje een bedrukt gevoel dat je zelf ook moest gaan.

Precies een jaar nadat VinVin op Lepeltje Lepeltje Amersfoort stond zijn we langs gegaan. Wederom een top ervaring. Door Julian wordt er extreem goed geluisterd naar wat je zegt. Daarop baseert hij zijn voorstel qua wijn. En 3x bulls eye. Top! en vooral verrassende wijnen. Ga zo door en tot volgende keer!

Vriendelijk personeel, verstand van zaken, lekkere wijnen en hapjes. Wel een klein zaakje, dus het zit snel vol. De inrichting kan nog iets warmer en sfeervoller.

Leuke bediening gezellig ambiance wel wat duur

Hele fijne plek in hartje Utrecht. De eigenaar is een man vol met passie, kennis en heeft hele mooie wijnen. Wat ik fijn vond is dat er voor ieder wel wat te vinden is. Je kunt kiezen voor mooie wijnen van €5,- per glas, maar je kunt ook voor de champions league gaan. Let op dan betaal je wel €13,- per glas, maar daarvoor krijg je wel een heerlijk glas wijn. Lieve mensen hou je van wijn, ga hier dan maar eens kijken. Het is wel vaak druk, maar een plekje lukt wel.

Leukste wijnbar van de stad! Heerlijke wijnen, kennis en sfeer. Must go!

Super sfeervolle bar met behulpzaam barpersoneel, die je goed kunnen adviseren in wijnkeuzes. Zeker een aanrader.

Na een teleurstelling bij een andere wijnbar (we zullen niet meer vreemdgaan de volgende keer… ;)) was het een verademing om bij Vinvin te komen. Goede sommelier, heerlijke borrelplank met verschillende kazen en charcuterie, en uitstekend wijnadvies. Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding en een aanrader voor elke wijndrinker. Tot de volgende!

We loved this gem of a wine bar. Julian the owner is super knowledgeable and friendly. They also have nice bites and work with artisanal pizza place next door for authentic Neapolitan pizza. We will definitely be back.

Beetje dure wijn. 8 euro voor een glaasje zonder naam.. voor de rest prima!

Rustig plekje in de drukke binnenstad. Goede wijnen, leuke sommelier en fijne sfeer.

Afgelopen zaterdag kwamen we toevalig langs. Het zag van buiten af gezellig uit dus we gingen binnen zitten. Het heeft heeeel lang geduurd voordat we de wijn konden bestellen. Engels sprekende meid die totaal geen verstand van had. 2 soorten witte wijn geprobeerd en vond ze vreselijk..als wijnkenner durf ik te zeggen. We hadden trek dus een zogenaamde 'plank kaas/vleeswaren besteld'. Na 45 minuten wachten hebben we de eigenaar aangesproken. Ze waren mee bexig zei hij. Nog een kwartiertje gewacht en toen kwam tie met een BORDJE met vooral amandel nootjes, stuk of 4 klein gesneden goedkope salami en 4 blokjes gewone goedkope kaas en 2 dunne plakjes goedkoopste brie die naar mijn mening niet eens vers was aangezien ik meteen na het proeven maagpijn kreeg. Daarnaast er laggen nog 3 kleine stukjes turkse brood, een beetje olijfolie en aioli. DUS DAT WAS EEN 'PLANK' VAN €23 VRESELIJK!!!!!! Ik heb nog nooit in mijn leven zo slechte ervaring gehad. Heb geen woorden ervoor! Hier komen we never nooit meer terug en raad iedereen aan om weg te blijven van deze vreselijke tent en een arrogante eigenaar. Het is pure oplichterij!! Echt slechtste ervaring ooit. Slecht slecht slecht!!! Goedkope troep! Heb daarna de hele avond buikpijn gehad.

Está bien. No es el mejor bar de vinos de la ciudad. El personal definitivamente sabe de lo que están hablando y son útiles. Sin embargo, uno de los miembros del personal estaba hablando en voz muy alta con una pareja que conocía y eso obstaculizó el ambiente. Apenas podíamos escuchar la música de fondo y nosotros mismos hablando sobre él. Para el rango de precios, también esperaría que la decoración sea mejor en esta barra. Parece un café decente, mientras que sirve vinos caros. En el lado positivo, ¡sirven una pizza INCREÍBLE hasta las 8 pm!

Wij arriveerden hier om 16.01 uur en ze waren net open! We werden gastvrij ontvangen en de sommelier luisterde goed naar onze wensen. In No-time zat de zaak vol, dit was een goed teken! We kregen een kleine mini proeverij aan tafel met wat lekkers te knabbelen erbij! Hele gezellige en leuke zaak en zeer zeker het aanbevelen waard!
