What a fantastic place with fantastic wines. I sat here with my daughter for a high wine. Delicious wines, delicious and plentiful food, and a very friendly young man with a great explanation. Unfortunately, the chairs are anything but comfortable (bistro chairs); a cushion would be nice. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

A mockery, paid 180 euros for a highwine with 4 people. The high wine consisted of 3 wines per person and a few simple snacks. The people next to us were 2 and got just as many 'snacks'. When we indicated this, we were given a few more pieces of sausage on a saucer. Not to mention how long we had to wait for everything. There was one man who did both the kitchen and the service, and the place was full. You can't call this high wine, a waste of our money.

Ball tent. Reserved, they received the confirmation, but did not reserve a spot. They also acknowledge that things have gone wrong and don't bother.

I had made a reservation for two people for a high wine at Talud9 via the website. The confirmation email had arrived promptly, with the correct date and time. However, upon arrival, it turned out our reservation hadn't been confirmed. This can happen, of course, but it's precisely at such times that a company can distinguish itself with service and a solution-oriented approach. Unfortunately, Talud9's service left a lot to be desired. At the bar, we were told the high wine was cancelled because there was no room. The employee who answered our call showed little interest, mumbled an uninspired "Excusez-moi" in between, and then simply said we could have a glass of wine or come back another day (a rather easily dismissed request). It's frustrating when reservations go wrong, but it's human nature. What was truly disappointing was the way it was handled. The lack of interest and customer service left a sour taste in our mouths. Unfortunately, the service was a big fail!

Ik had via de website een reservering geplaatst voor twee personen voor een high wine bij Talud9. De bevestigingsmail was netjes binnengekomen, met de juiste datum en tijd. Toch bleek bij aankomst dat onze reservering niet was doorgevoerd. Dat kan natuurlijk gebeuren, maar juist op zulke momenten kan een bedrijf zich onderscheiden met service en oplossingsgerichtheid. Helaas liet dat bij Talud9 flink te wensen over. We kregen aan de bar te horen dat de high wine niet kon doorgaan omdat er geen plek was. De medewerker die ons te woord stond, toonde nauwelijks interesse, mompelde tussendoor een ongeïnspireerd "Excusez-moi" en zei vervolgens maar zei dat we wel een wijntje konden drinken of maar een andere dag konden langskomen (nogal makkelijk afgewimpeld). Dat er iets misgaat bij een reservering, is vervelend maar menselijk. Wat echt tegenviel, was de manier waarop ermee werd omgegaan. De desinteresse en het gebrek aan klantvriendelijkheid zorgden voor een zure nasmaak. Helaas een dikke onvoldoende voor de service!

Always a pleasant experience here! Be sure to arrive early or make a reservation. Unfortunately, I've been told several times that ordering food isn't possible when you arrive. I was asked to leave once at 7:00 PM, which is practically impossible.

The café wasn't even half full, but the waitress informed us in a rather unfriendly tone that there were no places to get a drink, either inside or outside. What hospitality!

Coffee shop...well, this only applies to a limited extent! I wanted to drink a coffee and eat a delicious dessert here, but the coffee machine was already out. The cake I wanted to eat was over. Without further ado, a chocolate cake with salted caramel was suggested to me and a good red wine was suggested. Since, unfortunately, I hadn't had a good meal at an Indian restaurant before, I wanted to end the evening with a pleasant experience. And I wasn't disappointed! I sat by the window overlooking the canal below and enjoyed a really delicious cake and a great red wine. The shop is very cozy. The staff are very friendly. The selection of drinks and food is clear and, what is very important to me, really good. Oh yes, two days later I had breakfast here. I finally got a coffee, in my case a cappuccino, a croissant and freshly squeezed orange juice. These certainly weren't my last visits here. I'm already looking forward to the next visit, but then with company.

We were not helped because they had too few glasses

We had the farewell of my husband who was retiring. Upon arrival, the owner suddenly had to leave due to personal circumstances. Emergency troops came from various cafes to keep our party going. At one point the permanent employee came to take over. She had only worked for Talud9 for 3 days. We watched with respect how she kept everything running on her own. Made sure the grandchildren got fries and everyone had something to eat on time. I have deep respect for this. It's that she told us during a chat. Otherwise we wouldn't have noticed. We went home much later than intended. It was a wonderful farewell for my husband. Partly thanks to the very good care.

Nice little wine bar. We had a high wine, well prepared but a bit on the expensive side (45th pp, for 3 wines and a snack board). The service did a very good job on his own, and knew what he was talking about with the wines.

Nice place, we enjoyed a High Wine and the service did a perfect job, he was alone today but was relaxed and friendly. The wines were delicious and so were the snacks! Nice little tables and nicely placed.

Today we stood in front of a closed door even though we had made a reservation at 3 p.m. Waited outside for an hour. No way to contact Talud9. Even after a few days, still no response to messages.

Wij hadden om 15:00 een reservering voor 6 personen high wine. Echter bij aankomst stonden wij een uur lang voor een gesloten deur. Wij hadden voor deze dag speciaal vrij gevraagd, omdat wij verpleegkundigen zijn in het ziekenhuis en dit cadeau gaven voor een verjaardag. Op geen enkele manier contact kunnen krijgen met Talud9. Daarom na een uur weer weg gegaan. Heel erg jammer en wij waren zeer teleurgesteld!

Small but nice wine bar with tasty wine, delicious snacks & good service. They have a wide range of wine, from white and sparkling to red, rosé and even dessert wine. They even have some organic and natural wines. You can choose a wine based on a clear taste description on the menu. But the staff is also happy to help you with this choice if you would like (which is nice for the more inexperienced wine drinker like myself). They always let you taste a little first, so if you don't like your choice you can still change it. In addition to wine, they also have some spirits, 3 mixed drinks and 3 types of beers on the menu. If you don't drink alcohol, you can choose from some soft drinks and different types of coffee. PLEASE NOTE: they do not have tea. You can also eat delicious snacks here. The portions are based on 2 people, so pay attention to this if you have more than one person. If you are very hungry and/or you want to have an extensive dinner, keep in mind that it is more of a drinks menu or you have to eat some kind of tapas style (also tasty). If you are a vegetarian, vegan or have other dietary requirements, I think it is best to inquire in advance as there is no information on the menu about this. It is not a large bar and there are only a limited number of tables, so keep this in mind! You cannot reserve a table alone, but you can reserve a High Wine. Most tables are set up for 2 - max. 4 people, so if you come with more I would contact you in advance.

Had a glass of wine here for the first time last night. Tasty Pecorino! Small intimate wine bar, I will definitely come back to choose a different wine next time.

Hello dear people from Talud9, we think it's fantastic! Buuuut; We have already had three wines and are not used to anything anymore, so that may influence the assessment somewhat. But so far we are satisfied. the cheese board was delicious, the wines top and the staff very pleasant. Disadvantage: the stairs to the toilets, but according to you, no one has ever had a breakdown. Fine!

A really nice wine bar. In terms of ambiance and price-quality ratio, for me it is the best wine bar. It has a nice decoration and a good atmosphere. There is a varied range of wines that, in my opinion, are very tasty. The staff takes the time to listen to your tastes and wishes. Last time a bartender was still looking for advice, but still drank delicious wine.

Food and wine are tasty, but the high wine is not worth it. You pay 40 euros for 3 wines and a few snacks. Super overpriced. We thought that was a shame, but the tent itself has a nice atmosphere.

Het is een wijnbar welke op zich veel potentie heeft. Het heeft een leuke uitstraling en goede wijnen. Toch hebben wij geen goede ervaring gehad. We werden niet vriendelijk ontvangen. Verder werd de tweede wijn in hetzelfde glas geschonken als de eerste wijn, terwijl het andere wijn was. Vervolgens vloog er letterlijk een schoonmaakdoekje over ons hoofd (iemand van de bediening gooide dat over ons hoofd naar de bar). Toen ik voor de tweede keer de rekening vroeg (ik had dit al eerder gevraagd aan de ober), antwoordde een van de ‘als jij er klaar voor bent, wij ook’. Vervolgens heb ik afgerekend bij zijn collega.

Small wine bar with a view of the canals. The wine selection is international with a little more focus on Italy. The perfect place for an aperitivo! 🍷 The small dishes are also delicious and complement the wines.

In tegenstelling tot Eveline, hieronder, kreeg ik wel snel oogcontact, een goede wijn EN een plezierig gesprek. Een aanrader voor iedereen die oogcontact EN een goede wijn wil.

As a surprise for my husband I made a reservation for a wine tasting. All confirmed but when arriving the bar was closed, with bi opportunity to call anyone. We thought ok, very unfortunate, but can happen. We had send an email that we had been standing in front of the door and no one was there; never received a reply…. Very disappointed about this; at least give a proper response.

Super cosy and nice, great atmosphere. Variety of wines but also nice please to visit in rainy and cold day, and just enjoy coffee. ☕️🍷

Everything you want in a wine bar! Cosy atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff. Large selection of very different wines and a fitting guidance by the staff if necessary. We had 6 different wines in total, all great tastes 🍷Also the snacks were very nice. Will definitely come here again when in central Utrecht!

Heerlijke (kleine) plek met heerlijke wijnen (en bubbels) en borrelplankjes. Vlotte en attente bediening. Aanrader

Leuke zaak! Heel klein maar wel gezellig. Lekkere wijntjes en hapjes. Leuke bediening hebben veel verstand van wijntjes. Kreeg meteen een fles kraan water geserveerd. Zeker nog een keer naar toe. De stoelen zijn alleen niet heel comfortabel en ze hebben alleen hoge tafels en een bar.

Warm, gezellig, hartstikke vriendelijke bediening en heerlijke koffie en wijnen. Wél jammer dat ze alleen per mail bereikbaar zijn. Dit bleek toen ik mijn tas daar vergeten was. Goddank lag deze er nog, maar een bereikbaarheid per telefoon is aan te raden! Verder Top en zag ook heerlijke gerechtjes voorbij komen!

Mooie locatie, maar afstandelijk personeel. We zijn maar gaan zitten, maar kregen geen oogcontact. Goede wijnen en goed advies, maar ik zou er niet heel snel weer heen gaan...

I love this place so much! It's small and cosy but thet have amazing wine and the staff is so friendly! They really take their time to connect with their guests. We also ordered some tapas, and the pimientos de padron were really really good!

Fijnste wijnbar die er is! Fantastische wijnen, ze nemen de tijd om vertellen over de wijnen, en kennis met betrekking tot de wijnen ontbreekt daar niet aan! Een hele prettige, warme sfeer!

Voor lekkere wijntjes en kleine hapjes. Maar na een paar wijntjes, een kaasplankje en een tarte flambee wilde ik halve wijntjes - wat natuurlijk gangbaar is op de betere plekken. Maar hier dus niet. “Dat is boekhoudkundig niet mogelijk”, zei hij. Die kerel is niet geschikt voor bediening, wel de boekhouding. Hij had er geen zin in. Ga ik dus niet meer heen, zijn genoeg andere wijn-spots in Utrecht. Jammer…

I stopped for a cappuccino, it was good. Service is kind, nice vibe, nice music and there is a cute table (with 2 stool) in the balcony facing the canal. Ideal for a quick coffe or some bite watching the canal. 4 stars about of 5 because I didn’t spent enough time to evaluate it all.

Fenomenale wijnen met een grote variatie waarvan alles per glas. De service was echt geweldig met een toelichting bij elke wijn en persoonlijke aandacht. We hebben ontzettend genoten! Keep up the good work 😁😋🍷

Minder leuk helaas sinds de overname van eigenaar. Dit was mijn favoriete wijnplek. Personeel is nu minder vriendelijk en niet langer kan je je wijntje selecteren obv beschrijving van je smaak maar gewoon bestellen van een kaart. Desalniettemin knus plekje in de binnenstad waar je gezellig kan borrelen.

Prima bar. Maar jammer als je om een suggestie vraagt een glas van 8 euro krijgt. Even borrelen en 60 euro afrekenen voelt niet in verhouding. Helaas want het heeft potentie. We komen niet meer terug…

Als je dit tentje niet kent, dan loop je er zo voorbij zonder het ooit een kans te geven, want de ingang is smal, een beetje verborgen en springt niet erg in het oog. "Talud 9 aan de Donker Gaard in het centrum van Utrecht is nummer 2 geworden in de Koffie Top 100 van Misset Horeca. Vorig jaar stond de zaak ook op deze positie. “Deze wijn- en koffiebar mag in Utrecht als verborgen pareltje gelden, in de Koffie Top 100 staat de zaak, met wéér plek twee, vol in de spotlight”, aldus de jury." Dit was een bericht uit september 2017 en door dit bericht heb ik Talud9 ontdekt omdat ik de cappuccino wilde gaan proberen. Ze hebben de kwaliteit vastgehouden, de cappuccino hier is nog steeds de lekkerste die ik geproefd heb. Helaas branden ze nog maar 1 soort koffie. Voorheen hadden ze 2 koffiemachines en kon je kiezen voor de pittige of voor de fruitige koffie. Nu is er nog maar 1 koffiemachine over. Ik hield meer van de fruitige koffie, maar zelfs de pittige koffie wint het van alle andere cappuccino's die ik tot nog toe geproefd heb. De brownie was ook erg lekker.

Gezellig, klein en ruim opgezet aan de achterkant aan het water. Heerlijke wijn. Niet opdringerig, maar op tijd bijgevuld en met lekkere smeerseltjes. Aanrader!
