Unique location. Delicious food. Pleasant service.

Had dinner here for the first time last night; what a loss that we hadn't discovered this gem before! Everything is just right - from the warm and hospitable service to the incredibly refined dishes. Even the small potato cube that was on the plate as a garnish was a taste bomb. And all that in a wonderfully atmospheric restaurant. Where other overly posh restaurants charge top dollar for something of much lesser quality, here you can really eat well for a fair price, without having the idea that you are sitting in a mega posh place. And don't be misled by the perhaps somewhat simple-looking dessert menu! The whipped cream ice cream with lemon and butter cake is truly heavenly. We have found our new favourite restaurant!

Overall nice experience, food is nice. I don't personally like the mixing of the fake fancy serving with the industrial of the place. The place itself looks like a mix of an old swimming pool and a milk shop, which is quite nice and unique, in my opinion it just doesn't match the vibes of the food and serving. Food was nice, nothing special but also more than sufficient.

..Café Coberco would not be out of place in the weekly reviews in the Volkskrant Magazine of special places to eat. The kitchen is really good. And I don't say that quickly. Also nice that the menu changes regularly and the fresh produce is advertised on a board in the restaurant. I feel at home there and like to eat there. Lunch and certainly dinner.

What an amazing night at Cafe Coberco. We were visiting on a weekend away and felt so spoiled by the kind wait staff and the delicious food. We wish we had a restaurant like this in our home town! If you are visiting Enschede you must eat dinner here, you will not be disappointed.

Clearly a restaurant of the slightly higher segment (, compared to where I would normally go). Clearly noticeable in the decoration, menu, how the food is served and also the price tag. But in the case of the latter, it was all worth it. The quality of the food was also of high quality.

Café Coberco is highly recommended! The restaurant is very nice and located in a very cool (Melkhal) and easily accessible location, parking space in front of the door and the bus stop is also nearby. In summer air conditioning in the restaurant is great. What really matters is the food and I can be brief about that...really great! Here they cook with passion and you can taste it. Local and honest regional products with taste, that's what it's all about. Special and very tasty dishes. Hospitality and a good feeling of being welcome. Keep it up!

Here the cooking is really done with attention. Fresh products, interesting combinations that enrich the taste. Service very friendly and alert. Nice human treatment without too much talking at your table. The atmosphere of the old dairy factory has been well preserved. Acoustics are slightly less good because of the enormous space, which looks beautiful and atmospheric. I'll be back soon.

Excellent! We had a really delicious meal. The menu was nicely put together, and the service was prompt but not pushy—hats off to Café Coberco! I had the burrata with beetroot as a starter and the halibut as a main course, both were delicious! I will definitely come back again :)

Chef Arjan = Chef Special. What an unforgettable evening we had. An old industrial hall with a beautiful chandelier by Piet Hein Eek as a showpiece. A special environment with an open kitchen, yet cozy and warm. The food was excellent, what explosions of taste! Goosebumps on your back...!!!!! The staff were friendly and attentive and made for a fantastic evening! Recommended! Bucket list must do…. We will be back here soon!!!

You can enjoy delicious and pure food here. The flavors are real. The asparagus had the delicious flavor that comes with it. With a delicious egg and delicious sauce. Dessert was also fantastic. Real dark chocolate, blueberries, another good sauce, all delicious. Staff, cheerful, nice and interested. Nice place if you want a quiet, delicious meal together. No cacophony of sounds.

I'm in love with the food from the lunch and dinner menu.

Excelent food, very good atmosphere.

They have foie gras on the menu and apparently have no problem with severe animal abuse through force feeding, which is done by ramming a funnel down the throat several times a day. Local dishes are also a wash, because the liver comes from France. Food smacked in front of you, no one asks if it tastes good or if you would like something to drink. Never again.

What a great restaurant in the beautiful old milk hall in Enschede. The food is very good, Arjan makes every meal so tasty and surprising. But not over the top, because you can really taste the use of fresh products here. The service at the table is fast and, above all, with a smile and they make time for a chat. The atmosphere is unique due to the preservation of the many old elements of the former milk hall. The decoration of the restaurant fits in seamlessly with this. Highly recommended!

A new pearl discovered! The chef's passion is palpable in everything, from the dishes to the presentation. We enjoyed an extensive, delicious lunch. The manager is extremely hospitable and approachable, which contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. The raw industrial character of the building is great in combination with the refined food. We are happy to drive (or train) for this!

the shrimp cocktail was too spicy, the fish was fried for a long time, therefore too dry and the chairs were the worst chairs you will find in the entire catering industry.

We had a delicious meal (main course and desert), and the atmosphere was relaxed. I also like that the portions are nicely coordinated. Had a nice white wine with the fish, and good (local) coffee liqueur with the coffee 😋

This is the best restaurant we have been in for a long while, this is what I think you can expect: .Quality vs Quantity. Moderate prices overall. .Full of authentic flavour, really, you taste it. .I believe 98% is handmade/handcrafted, even the aioli and the mayonnaise. .Pure ingredients.Real mayonnaise has a little bit of vinegar, also olive oil, so it was delicious. Amazing Chef, you can tell this is what he wants to be doing.Me and my boyfriend congratulated him for the amazing food. .Recommended dishes: Makreel dish. As desserts, homemade Madeleines with homemade super effing delicious vanilla ice cream.( if you like vanilla ice cream, this is the real thing.) .The only thing I consider should be improved are the waitress, they were quite kind, but perhaps a little bit too young , talking too often with other staff members. Also, they could improve their knowledge of the ingredients in the menu just a little bit better. .Last note: if you prefer big portions I would say this would not be the ideal place for you. If you do not mind smaller portions at a reasonable price, with a great flavour experience, try this place! You won't regret it. We are sure to come back again =)

Felt like I was in a French restaurant again...

Coberco, the old dairy company. What an incredibly nice concept and execution. You arrive and are warmly welcomed, it is a real milk hall so don't expect pure luxury but an enormous experience. Once you step inside you see brown café furniture finished with white sheets and cloth napkins. Neatly laid tables with glassware and cutlery. The start is sublime, you are taken to your table by the host (Ad) or one of the hostesses, you immediately receive a fresh sandwich with butter and a bottle of water. An aperitif is requested and we start with a drink. Glassware is minimal but that's to be expected from the concept. The bubbles are not too bad. Great to start with. Immediately ordered a bottle of wine and it was delivered promptly when the bubbles ran out. We shared a steak tartare and it had everything you expect from a tartare. It was coarse, well seasoned, the poached egg was perfect but the touch of parmigiano made it complete. Personally, I still see a crispy, parmesan cookie, but other than that, delicious. Then came the piéce (main course), beef loin with truffle and guinea fowl with lobster. Loin was cooked perfectly and the dish came together beautifully, complete. The guinea fowl with lobster was okay, the lobster was a bit over and therefore a bit too chewy. Taste was fine, a little too much pepper for my liking. So did the poached egg. Then dessert, ladyfinger, champagne and white chocolate. Fine, nice and good in taste. Crême brulee, was less, taste was fine but the texture not so, vanilla custard. I'm guessing the brulee didn't go well. Service is top notch and you will have a good experience eating here. 3.5 stars for these toppers, it should be a 4.5, but the small points of criticism are advice. They do have to adjust the price of the wines, as they go overboard far too often. You can't hide that from a sommelier, but they certainly have the gun factor. Overall, nice, cozy, good and good. Have dinner here to experience this. The whole concept is just gold. Wine list just needs to be adjusted, not only in terms of price (4/5x over the top) (this should not happen), but also in terms of diversity. You miss some rustic wines, strength and power. But I'm not about that. Thanks for the experience and see you soon!

Went to Café Coberco twice last week and they did everything right both times! The service is attentive and friendly, the food is delicious. Your sandwich in advance and water are included and you get it from the company (oh, if only it were like that everywhere, not because of the money, but because it is self-evident!). And if you want one scoop of ice cream instead of a dessert from the menu, that is also possible, for a suitably small price. And they even have a delicious, homemade limoncello. Café Coberco is an asset to Enschede.

Delicious food, didn't take any pictures because I was enjoying the moment! Had steak fries for lunch. The vegetables under the steak were so well prepared, it reminded me of a lunch I had in France a few years ago that still stuck with me. I will remember this for a while too. The steak was beautifully pink and so tender that no steak knife was needed. The creme brulee was the best I've ever had. Highly recommended to eat here! I forgot to tip, so I'll have to go back again ;-)

It was a nice surprise to eat here. Had never been there before. Very pleasant atmosphere. For example, we think it is very good that some water and sandwiches are immediately put on the table. The open kitchen gives a nice impression of the passionate work of the chefs. We enjoyed. Price-wise it was also ok.

Such delicious food: fresh local ingredients, original flavors and just right portions. Everything is very tasty, but where I often skip desserts in a restaurant because I often find them too sweet or not really special, here they are not normally tasty and beautiful!

It had been far too long since we visited Droste's en Co, but this certainly did not disappoint: a menu that you will not find anywhere else in Enschede, staff with a passion for food, and a nice atmosphere with a beautiful lamp. We walked home very satisfied.

Really delicious food and a great menu. Something we missed in Twente. The specials are also completely fun and delicious. You will receive great help, and you will sit wonderfully in the beautiful Melkhal. Lunch is also highly recommended. We just keep coming back. Small downside: they could do something about the extraction.

Last night we continued the tradition by having a nice dinner with 11 colleagues. And we were referred to Café Coberco, the new place to be in Enschede. Haven't regretted it for a moment. Of course good company, which obviously helps, but the hospitable staff, warm welcome, great food and wine. Highly recommended!
