Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and cozy decor. We opted for a surprise menu, with the only stipulation being that it had to be vegan. That was no problem. Two beautiful plates filled with a mix of delicious dishes. You help yourself to drinks and pay confidently. Fantastic that this is still possible! We'll be back again.

We've eaten here several times before, and for good reason! The place is cozy and atmospheric. The food is always good, varied, and flavorful. You decide what's on your plate, and you get your own drinks from the refrigerated display case. A great concept. The service is fast and attentive, and all this is done by friendly people who are always ready to help.

I don't really know why we'd never eaten here before, but last Sunday we finally did. The food was truly delicious, and you have plenty of options to create your own plate. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We'll definitely be back.

What a lovely place. Indonesian and Turkish blend wonderfully. Both the food and the restaurant's decor are a joy to behold. The interior is beautifully finished with lots of plants. The tables are spacious, allowing for private conversations. We opted for the tasting menu, where you try a little of everything. It's varied and delicious, and includes an appetizer and dessert. I'm so glad I discovered this restaurant.

Last night, January 25, 2025, I had dinner with friends at Tentje Teman. Because we have been to Tentje Teman before, we brought our friends for a tasting. We had a delicious meal from various Indonesian dishes. These are prepared with care and taste excellent. All this in a nice and cozy restaurant in a casual and pleasant atmosphere. The staff is open and friendly. It is a very nice restaurant where we will definitely keep coming back.

You can get delicious (real) Indian food here. The concept is not standard. You choose in advance what you want to eat (in containers behind the refrigeration like at the grocery store), then you can sit down and they will bring it warmed up for you. You must take drinks from the refrigerator yourself. Pick up here is also fine. The prices are reasonable.

Our first introduction to this fun and especially nice business. Very pleasant atmosphere, super friendly service, nice concept, many vegan options, and very tasty food at a normal price. We will definitely come here more often. And the spicy sambal (was warned) was indeed very spicy👍🏻. So be careful. We had the choice menu B twice for the big vegetable eaters and there you can simply replace your meat and side dish for a vegan option. Absolutely great. Highly recommended.

We ordered the complete menu for 2 people with 3 eaters. Starter and dessert were adapted for 3 people. The staff is very friendly and speaks excellent English. You set the table yourself and you get your own drinks from the fridge. That seems a little strange. The food and the friendliness make up for it. We will definitely be guests there again despite the 200km journey.

Ate here for the first time yesterday with my mother. What a nice restaurant! We received a very friendly welcome and the food was delicious. The 'tasting' for 2 people is highly recommended. A lot of food for a good price! We will definitely come back.

Something different for once. A "standard" restaurant experience does not apply here. Here it's all about the "living room" atmosphere, and these restaurateurs have succeeded in that. Grab the drink you would like to have and mention afterwards what you had. If you don't know exactly what you would like, then definitely go for the tasting and be surprised by all the flavors like we did. If you have specific wishes, they will be happy to take this into account and please let us know. If you don't like spicy food, this is also indicated, some dishes can be a bit spicy, but in my opinion this is very doable and not extreme. This is the second time we have been here and certainly not the last time.

What a cool place to have something to eat. It may be a little different than you are used to, but you will feel completely at home. - Take your drinks from the refrigerator yourself - You order food at the counter, so there is no fixed menu. The counter person will help you with what you want. The restaurant is decorated with all "second hand" furniture and there is plenty to see in terms of decorations. The staff is very friendly. The food tasted very good, everything was hot and seasoned. No complaints at all. There is a Turkish and Indian beer available. Would definitely recommend the restaurant :).

This Tentje is a pleasant and authentic surprise in Enschede. Besides a good dinner, they offer Indonesian hospitality and conviviality. We chose the Tasting, a melting pot of different flavors: also nice for people with choice stress; You don't have to make a choice yourself, but you will receive Indonesian/Turkish specialties in smaller portions. Beautiful exotic interior (with beautiful details) and in the background you can hear the birds and the typical Indonesian kitchen sounds of the tjobek (mortar). Here you don't have to wait long for your drinks, because you can grab them yourself. Sanitary facilities are clean and a nice detail are the batik wipes to dry your hands with. Tentje is easy to reach by car/public transport.

We were guests this afternoon and went home very happy. Since we didn't know what to expect due to a lack of language skills and it didn't even occur to us to ask for a sample plate, we were more or less surprised. When we ordered, we tried almost the entire range of delicious dishes and were very happy that everything was explained to us in detail in English. I probably don't need to mention that the ambience, the service and the food are very good. What should be mentioned positively, however, is that you have the feeling that you are really a guest and you are happy to give your guest a nice time. I haven't experienced this feeling in the restaurant industry for a long time. We were impressed and will certainly not be there for the last time, thank you for this lovely stay! :)

I regularly walked past a restaurant and wondered what kind of cuisine was a combination of Turkish and Indonesian, but now I tried it out. And that worked out well. Concept where you get your own drinks and cutlery. We had a tasting where you were served different dishes. Very tasty. In the west of the country I was used to shops where you can get delicious Indonesian food and possibly also eat at a simple table. This restaurant is a kind of store, but with a cozy living room interior. I'd say give it a try.

I like the system they have in this place. They say they want it to be that you're eating out while still having the feeling of being at home. So it was pretty much self-serve ... > homely decors that make you feel like you're in your own living room > You get your own drinks from the ref > You get whatever utensils you want from several stations they placed in the area > You go to the counter to order. They have some menu combination options to choose from and once you make your choice of what combi meal, you're presented with the options you have for meat, veggies, and sides. Basically, it's a create your own plate concept! Everything we had was extremely good, I couldn't even think what my favorite was among the food we had. The rendang was spicy yet very flavorful, and the meat was so tender.. just like the daging smoor! The gele rijst I got was also so nice, fluffy, and had a buttery flavor. Service was also superb as we were attended to very well, staff were friendly and the lady really explained everything to us well - from the resto concept to the food. Definitely another one to recommend in Enschede and another one to keep coming back to.

One of the nicest places in Enschede. Tasty foods, quick service, fun concept, nice people. Really feels like eating in a cosy living room.

Het eten was erg lekker. Wij hebben de proeverij gehad. Je krijgt dan verschillende voorgerechten, hoofdgerechten en nagerechten om te proeven. Erg lekker allemaal. De Service was prima. We vonden het alleen koud in het restaurant. Dus als je in de wintermaanden gaat...het eten is heerlijk, maar neem een extra vest mee.

En dan nog een heel bijzondere ‘extra ster’ voor Achmed, de bedrijfsleider van ons favoriete restaurant wanneer we lekker Indisch willen eten. We hadden 29 november om 17.00 uur gereserveerd maar kwamen in problemen door alle opengebroken wegen en omleidingen. Na 3 kwartier zoeken en proberen heb ik het restaurant (Achmed) gebeld met ons probleem. En dat we helaas genoodzaakt waren om af te zeggen. Achmed vroeg waar we stonden en zei,”ik kom eraan om je te begeleiden”. Ongelooflijk. Na een kwartier kwam hij op de fiets, 2,5 km gereden, bij ons aan en heeft ons tijdens flinke sneeuwbuien begeleid naar ons restaurant. We hebben daarna, als vanouds, weer heerlijk gegeten en nog extra vleesgerechten meegenomen voor de feestdagen. Buiten het heerlijke eten, leuk interieur en plezierige bediening is dit echt de aanrader voor iedereen in de omgeving van Enschede (wij komen uit Eibergen) die zich een keer echt willen laten verwennen met super lekker Indisch/Turkse gerechten. Waarbij het merendeel Indisch georiënteerd is. Dus in dit geval een 6de ster voor heel bijzondere client gerichtheid. Jim Boester/Eibergen

Would not recommend the place if you want to taste authentic Indonesian cuisine. Even if the price is good for the portion. As an Indonesian I am sorry to say that the food in this restaurant does not taste authentic at all. The spices were just not there, everything tastes bland for me. The Nasi Kuning (Yellow fragrant rice) needs more spices and I cannot taste the coconut cream. The beef also needs more spices, the tempeh was also bland.

I like the taste. The food is very similar to Asian flavors. It cured my longing for the food of my hometown. I like their service style where they will first explain the name, taste, and even the origin of the menu before you decide which one you want to eat. This gives you better consideration.

Afgelopen weekend hier een proeverij gehad. Heerlijke gerechten uit Indonesië en Turkije. Mooi om te zien hoe 2 verschillende culturen zo samenkomen. Eten is lekker, en wat niet opkomt pakken ze voor je in in een bakje. De sfeer is een echte huiskamersfeer die ze ook nastreven. Bediening is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Leuke plek in Enschede.
