Great atmosphere. Music in Spanish. We loved the tacos. Super delicious. Very good service. A pint is €7.90, which is a good price. Thank you for your attention.

Visited on 27/10. A pleasant enough atmosphere inside along with swift service. Prices were on the high side, particularly for beer. Only opted for drinks on this occasion. Nonetheless, a reasonable experience overall.

Used to be a great authentic place but since it was renovated by the new owners it’s just another overpriced cafe without a soul

Hey, first of all, very bad welcoming. Bad mood of the waiter. I asked for a burger and they gave me gros and when incame for playing the guy, just ignore me and refused to understand what i asked for.

The price-performance ratio is okay for a big city like Amsterdam. The food was also quite good; I thought it was great that we all got our orders at the same time, even though there were four of us at the table.

About the nachos: Just broken chips with some peppers and salsa from a jar. The fries: Some of the worst cheap fries I've ever had. The snacks: They were okay, but they barely had any flavor. The house red is the worst wine I've ever had. Paying €60 for this is absolutely outrageous; for me, this was the first and last time.

Ordered a coffee and a glass of tap water. Got a coffe and a 4€ water bottle instead.

Too expensive for a small portion!

This was without a doubt one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. First of all, we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for the food – and when it finally arrived, it was cold. Not lukewarm, not “could be warmer”, but downright cold. It is completely unacceptable. And as if that wasn’t enough, the service was abysmal. The staff seemed indifferent, inattentive and surly, as if you were a nuisance just by being there. No apology for the wait, no smile, no attempt to make the experience better. The food? Tasteless and bland. Not even the long wait in the kitchen could be excused by the quality – it was poor all round.

I recently visited this five-star restaurant, and my experience was absolutely outstanding. The service was excellent, with friendly and professional staff. The menu was rich and diverse, and every dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. What truly sets this place apart is the amazing bar – the ambiance is elegant and relaxed, and the drink selection is impressive. The bartenders are skilled and know exactly how to craft perfect cocktails. I will definitely be coming back!

We had five people in our party and each had something different. Nacho, burger, panini, other sandwiches, onion rings... It was all just OK. It's a great spot to sit and eat and drink. I might go here again for a beer, but not for food

Average food, nice place, good location, terrible service. Two guys with a very bad attitude, as if they were doing you a favor and giving you the food, not as if they were being paid for that service. I do not recommend it.

Portion size of loaded nachos was tiny. Hardly any vegetables. Absolutely not worth the money. Very loud music inside. Service for the food took 45 minutes. The table was dirty. Cardboard boxes with supplies were carelessly handled right next to my table. They were stacked right in front of a steep stairwell leaving a passage of 20 cm you had to climb through. A really unpleasant experience I would not recommend to anyone. Went to SLA and had a huge bowl of delicious food for the same price in a wonderful, calm restaurant.

I had a pizza with a hair on it, and it didn't taste good afterward. The chicken burger wasn't good either. If you want a drink, it's a nice place to eat, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Nos sentamos como el menú se veía bien y podíamos conseguir una mesa fuera en una noche cálida. Hice todo lo que un restaurante relajado debe realmente. Buenos nachos y porciones decentes de comida. Un poco de ensalada con los giros y la hamburguesa hubiera estado bien como con los schnitzels, pero compartimos en cuanto a la foto. Estos eran enormes. Un montón de buenas patatas fritas para todas las comidas. El personal era un buen conjunto de jóvenes que trabajaban duro y eran amables.

Pedimos quesadillas de pollo con patatas fritas. El pollo era apestoso y usaron queso falso. ¡¡No comas allí!!

A tourist trap. A group of 7 arrived to eat. Now, we do accept the fault of not properly reading the menu and seeing in small lettering that one bill - one payment, I.e. they do not split the bill. The issue here is that the waiter saw that there's 7 of us, and it would have been nice to be informed verbally. We asked for 6 beers and one coke, we were brought 7 beers and a coke. They did not remove it from the final bill. The waiter was disrespectful and pushing with comments that I personally found inappropriate. They charged for food and beverage that we didn't even order. The food is store bought, frozen and fried in a fryer. The atmosphere is normal and its best just to have a drink and avoid food there.

The food was good. The description does not always match what you get. Example. I ordered a gyro, I got an open ended burrito without tzatziki sauce. It tasted good but it wasn't a gyro. The portions are pretty small for the price. The noise level and music is kinda loud. It's not a bad place overall.

Absolutely avoid! Catastrophic experience at this restaurant in Amsterdam. The waiters understand absolutely nothing of what you are asking, they seem annoyed as soon as you speak to them and the service is incredibly slow. Regarding the food: a shame. For an overpriced “breakfast”, you are served two poor pieces of toast, a half-burned egg covered in plastic cheese and a tiny, sad salad. Nothing is worth the price here: even water costs almost €5! This is organized theft. Frankly, it's better to continue on your way, there are much better (and cheaper) places everywhere else in Amsterdam. Avoid if you don't want to ruin your meal and your mood.

El peor personal y restaurante de la historia! Nos fuimos después de esperar 90 minutos! No habían empezado a hacer nuestra comida y ni siquiera se disculparon por ello. No recomendaría a nadie, mantente alejado! Vimos que las pizzas están congeladas y no hay acceso para sillas de ruedas para ir al baño.

¡Terrible! ¡No vayas allí! Mal servicio! Tuvimos que esperar más de una hora y media para la comida, mientras que otros que vinieron después de nosotros lo consiguieron antes que nosotros.

Unfortunately the waiting time was really long. The prices are okay for the location until you get the food served. “English Breakfast” was two slapped eggs with a slice of ham and cheese. Unfortunately the prices are really not right.

Ashamed …. Impossible to split the bill between friends! Where did you see this? Plus, €5 extra for 3 fighting fries! Food passable but between the water at 5€ and the rest… move on.

This is indeed not the same Café De Barones that reviews of 2 years ago refer to. This is now a completely different bar targeted at tourists, not a typical brown bar as it used to be. The interior has been changed and the menu, the prices and vibe adjusted to a new target audience of tourists only.

Aufgrund unseres Parkplatzes in der Nähe sind wir heute sind zufällig in das Café / Restaurant „Los Barones“ gegangen. Uns hat das Essen (Quesadilla con Pollo/ Mexican Burger) sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch Kaffee und Cappuccino sind lecker gewesen. Nette Mitarbeiter*innen und tolles Ambiente. Vielen Dank

Do not be fooled, this is not the old 'Barones'. This place opened under new ownership shortly after covid. It used to be an authentic brown cafe. It now became a tourist trap. The fact that they're keeping the name is a travesty.

Ordered Coke Zero, it was in a Coca Cola Zero bottle but was lukewarm and clearly did not taste like Coke Zero. We waited an hour for a panini and a burger that were also dirty in the end. The server who took our order was unfriendly. We did get free fries for the long wait, but that doesn't really make up for the rest.

The fries were very good, the burger tasted very well despite not being homemade.

Don't come in. The food is not good. We ordered the tacos and they were literally disgusting. The black jack burger was edible but nothing special. The girl who helped us was very nice. It's a touristy place in the center.

Best hamburger in Amsterdam very tasty and affordable

The café is located in the center of Amsterdam and is easily accessible on foot or by bike. There is parking on the street for cars. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. The noise level outside is very high. The service staff behaved correctly. The prices for the drinks are medium-high.

We made a quick stop for lunch at this place and we didn't regret it. I ordered a burger which, even though it was simple, was very tasty. Additionally, we ordered a cheese pancake and meat croquettes. Everything was very tasty. Service was friendly and quick. The environment is also very pleasant.

The WORST staff I have ever experienced!! Swore at me and my father to get out the shop?! because I have an allergy to an ingredient that isn’t stated on the option I picked?!!!? Under no circumstances should staff EVER speak to paying customers like this?!!!! We paid around €50 too!!!? I asked for a refund because what we were given was NOT what we ordered, we were in a rush and could not wait for a replacement, the food was barley touched and soon as I saw the pickle that I am allergic to, I have to completely stop eating - We ordered plain wrap, this did not come plain so we told the extremely rude waiter, he said what does plain mean?? Then my salad has a pickle which I am allergic to, this is NOT stated on the menu whatsoever, He has the rudest attitude and then says there’s no manger, won’t provide he’s name, then swears at me to get out in front of all the customers !! I have reported this and attached a photo to this Turkish man called Ahmed but possibly lying about he’s name, how can you treat your paying tourist customers like this?!?! An absolute joke!!! Old post, the cafe has changed owners.This post is not any longer suitable. In memoriam. "Hidden gem. Literally less busy than other spots in the area and more friendlier. Feels good to come to meet your friends in a very touristic city, in a place that still have "that sparkle" or whatever is left (less and less) of the Amsterdam spirit."

The food that we had was amazing and for the price really good. The cocktails are good as well, and the music choice and the service do not disappoint.

We had a quiet place in the sun, a small portion of fries, a beer and an Aperol Spritz for 25€… Great prices! In addition, the toilet was unfortunately broken and could not be used.

Do not order a Long Island cocktail, it's overpriced and not an actual long island.

What was once a cozy brown Amsterdam pub has now turned into a tourist trap. The beautiful wooden bar has been demolished by the new owner and an interchangeable interior has taken its place. When ordering 3 beers we were promptly served half liters even though we had not indicated this. Half a liter of La Chouffe costs only €9 here. Too bad, never again.
