Nice traditional pub with a no-nonsense atmosphere, Guinness on tap. Edit: They've been temporarily closed since March 2025.

First time on Amsterdam, found this place by complete accident! Small bar but the choice was excellent and the service completed with a smile! Would absolutely visit here again if only to check out the sports memorabilia on the walls, ceilings etc.

A typical Dutch bar. Not too big, but nice and welcoming. There's a good selection of beers, and you should try the bitterballen. Excellent value for money. I'd go back.

Came here often with great pleasure, but never coming back after such a bad experience with the rude bar tender. I see from other reviews that I'm not the only one with this experience.

Quiet for a little beer, a break before another visit. Next to the Anne Frank museum. Friendly atmosphere.

Bar tender grabbed ice with bear hands and was extremely rude. Never coming back. DO NOT GIVE this misogynistic pub owner any business. Women stay away

The big disadvantage is that you are not allowed to talk on the phone, you can only talk in front.

He didn’t want to sell us one portion Bitterballen, because we wanted to share them. Rude man basically kicked us out.

Owner is an ignorant man, very unfriendly, worst I've ever seen and I've traveled the world, small, antiquated 1 way pub, worst I've been in in years stay well clear

Stumbled in to avoid the cold & in search of beer and coffee. Lekker atmosphere & cool decor. Also low-key the best coffee I’ve had in the Netherlands, which was unexpected. Close to the Anne Frank House.

Wat een leuke kroeg en een leuke eigenaar. Gewoon een gezellige Amsterdammer die normale prijzen rekent voor een glas goed getapt bier en ook de speciaal bieren zijn niet te duur. Er hangen 4 schermen met sport op dus ook daarvoor kun je hier terecht.

What a great little spot to grab a drink. I stopped in while the wife was shopping and was very impressed with the decorations of the pub. The owner is pleasant and nice to talk with. So much so I’m sending over a piece for his wall.

Found this by accident after getting lost in the Jordaan district of Amterdam but it was a perfect place to stop, get a drink and get directions from the local bar man, I assume owner. He was so chilled and helpful. We sat outside and spent some time ‘people watching’ and it felt like we got a glimpse of real day to day Dutch life, with all the bicycles going past. There were also genuine Dutch snacks on offer, which we didn’t try, but a good option

Cafe De Gouden Falorijn is a cosy, relaxing place. The barman is friendly and as a traveller just getting to know amsterdam I felt welcome. Music is 80'90's all the classics. Sunny Spring day, drinks and good vibes

Great brown cafe, but who is this weird dude?

What a great Amsterdam brown bar. Inside, it's like a museum with all the paraphernalia around the walls and ceiling and it's a friendly place to have a few beers. Nico is the owner and he runs the place like clockwork. It's a great place to watch the footy cause they have multiple screens so if you are in Amsterdam, it's a must go kinda place 👍🍺

Very unique atmosphere, full with unusual stuff from all around the world. He knows how to run this business well.

Popped in for light lunch. The locals were watching the world cup which provided a great atmosphere. It felt like a locals venue but we were made very welcome.

Good and polite waiter. However you can order some food only with drinks. Steak seemed like it was boiled than grilled. Don't recommend this dish. Also, there is a lot of dust on different things hanging out from ceiling.
