Terrible!!! I don’t normally leave reviews but my friends and I went here and immediately felt unwanted, the bartender was rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. We got our drinks and left and he chased us out of the place cause he thought we stole a glass, he began cursing us out and we just wanted to leave, also claimed one of our friends did not buy a drink and tried to charge him for using the restroom, would never go back. That man should be ashamed!!

Terrible service. Two thirds of a pint of draft beer for €14.50. I don't recommend it.

I think it’s the Waste Bar in Amsterdam. The manager was rude and unfriendly. He even charged me extra because I paid by card — I didn’t have any cash with me. I don’t recommend this bar to anyone.

The owner is the sweetest man, he speaks so many languages and is very humble about his English abilities. I absolutely loved this spot please give it a visit!!

Quite well located, but the price is a pure rip-off (7€ for a small Radler from the bottle and 4.50€ for 0.2 Coke) the landlord also automatically gave himself a tip - well

Wanted to stop for a beer but after seeing the prices of 8.50 per glass decided to go. Owner said in that case we have to pay 2 euro for the toilet we used as not customers, so we wanted to buy a coffee. The owner said that we would still have to pay then as only one of us would be a customer? He said that he does not want this to become a public toilet, but I don't think he would even be able to lead one as they can't manage to keep theirs clean even while charging 2 euro per visit. I'm surprised why the owner is trying to be in the service industry whatsoever if he hates people so much. I think they need to charge these outrageous prices and try to compensate with extra toilet revenue for all the customers which get scared off by the rude owner. There's a million other places which will not try to scam you out of every cent and will treat you with respect. Look elsewhere for that.

Total scam. Outrageous prices for drinks. Staff act like they’re allergic to basic manners — rude and downright nasty. Spend your money somewhere that doesn't treat you like trash. This place is an embarrassment.

We stopped into Tomas’ bar for a quick beer while in Amsterdam. We were only there for three days. We not only ended up staying for a few hours, we also made it a priority to come back the next day for an hour or two. Tomas was fantastic. He’s efficient, helpful when asking about beer choices, he had a great sense of humor and made it a really enjoyable time. We loved the bar and we loved Tomas. We didn’t have a chance to try the food, but he makes it all right there himself in house. He also has fútbol on the tv in the back of the bar for those who love fútbol. We will definitely be coming back whenever we visit Amsterdam! Thank you Tomas!

I paid €18 for a large beer and a bottle of apple cider. Later the owner explained to me that they were special prices for being New Year's Eve. Unfortunately it didn't occur to me to ask about the price beforehand.

7,50 for a mahou beer. Ridiculous. Only reason people came in is because we made the mistake of going there. Hard to swallow pill if you're not a tourist. Also not a spanish bar even the name suggests it. Good places. To hide from.the rain or if you are on anti depression medications and you need a touch up

If you unsuspectingly order a (small) beer and then have to pay 4.50, then I know enough. Ordinary tourist trap.

Bad quality beer, rude customer service, dirty bathrooms, overpriced...

Easily the worst bar/cafe I have encountered in Amsterdam. Whilst spending time at this bar a friend of mine decided to use the bathroom. When she was exiting the bathroom the man behind the bar began shouting degrading abuse towards her saying that she has to pay 2 euros (purely because she used the bathroom). I would also like to mention that the overpriced beer tasted awful and was most likely stale and the workers attitude was disgusting. DO NOT GO HERE! There are far better bars in amsterdam which will leave you with far more enjoyable experiences.

Don’t waste your time, other bars in Amsterdam are much better such as the oreillys irish pub. The waiter at this bar is disgusting and seemed to find amusement by abusing a female customer. Avoid at all costs.

Don't go there. My day was ruined by an aggressive and abusive employee. This place doesn't care for their image and they are ready to shout at the customers if you don't agree on something with them. I left this place crying. I had a womens emergency to go to the toilet. There was no staff during that inside so I had no choice but to run to the toilet without asking. After that I was gonna go on the terrace to my friend and we were gonna stay and order something. The waiter instead started shouting at me. I asked what they wanted and I was even gonna buy something straight away. Aggression and yelling didn't stop... I was so scared that I left to get my friend to help there. I was gonna pay 2€ but after abusive approach by the staff we just left. It doesn't matter if at the end we were not customers there, it doesn't change the fact that staff were abusive and aggressive. Being nice to everyone, not only customers, will make business more succesfull in the future. There is no lies in this review because its not anonymous.

Fácilmente el peor bar / cafetería que he encontrado en Amsterdam. Mientras pasaba tiempo en este bar un amigo mío decidió usar el baño. Cuando salía del baño, el hombre que estaba detrás de la barra comenzó a gritarle malos tratos degradantes diciendo que tenía que pagar 2 euros (solo porque usaba el baño). Cuando decidimos irnos, él también continuó gritando abusos por la carretera mientras nos alejábamos. También me gustaría mencionar que la cerveza, que era demasiado cara, tenía un sabor horrible y probablemente estaba rancia y la actitud de los trabajadores era repugnante. ¡NO VAYAS AQUÍ! Hay bares mucho mejores en Ámsterdam que le dejará con experiencias mucho más agradables.

No vayas allí. Mi día fue arruinado por un empleado agresivo y abusivo. Este lugar no se preocupa por su imagen y están listos para gritar a los clientes si no estás de acuerdo en algo con ellos. Dejé este lugar llorando.

Although it looks like a nice brown cafe, it is in fact a soulless place intended for tourists.

After a drunken evening, we were tired and decided to have a drink. We stayed at the hotel (the building next door, which I strongly advise against). This cafe is very calm and friendly. You go there and you feel at home. Mr. Thomas is very nice :). He will tell you about Egypt and the beautiful Dutch city.

The menu says 8 euro for beer. I got charged 8.5 euro. When i ask him why I have to pay more because the menu clearly says 8 euro. He answers and say the menu is old and from 2 years ago. I tell him its none of my buisness and i will pay for the price on the menu. He insisted and I had to in the end pay extra. Now you know what kind of place that is

The best coffee I have ever had highly recommend it to every coffeelover out there. We went back a couple of times in our stay because of the very nice staff and outstanding service, he made us a plate full of Dutch cuisine and it was really delicious. :) My friend had the mojito and she said it’s really good too

It's a great place to go for a drink at night or just a small bite during the day. The staff is very friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. I would very much recommend it if you're ever in Amsterdam!

Der Café war Durchschnitt. Hatte auch einen Pfannkuchen. Der war auch nichts besonderes. Es gibt eigentlich nur einen Grund sich dahin zu setzen. Das ist der Ausblick zum Bloomen Markt.

This is a typical and tradition brown cafe in the center of Amsterdam, in a great area. A nice terrace with perfect people watching opportunities. The guy that runs this place is friendly and he makes a good steak and traditional Dutch tapas. It’s also a well known place for local people. This bar deserves a visit… have a nice glass of wine or a beer and a bite…

Elegimos comer afuera y mientras se permite fumar en Ámsterdam, nuestro compañero de Minnesota se quejó de ello todo el tiempo. Pidió unos huevos con salchicha y odiaba los wieners de estilo estadounidense. Pedí calamares y pude haber comprado estos bocados congelados en el supermercado y los puse en el microondas por un cuarto del precio. Las otras dos comidas tampoco estaban inspiradas. Sin embargo, a mis compañeros les gustaron la cerveza y las bebidas. Este fue nuestro primer día en Ámsterdam y pensamos que ¡TENÍA que haber una mejor comida aquí!
