Disappointing Unfortunately, my visit to the pancake café was very disappointing. The portions were far too small for the price of almost €20. There was also very little sauce, so for the most part, you were just eating plain pancakes. The Wi-Fi was also extremely slow and barely usable. For that price, I expected much more.

Don’t buy coffee from here, they burn it and serve it with piping hot milk.

We booked a 4-night stay and spent 3 nights waiting for coffee because the waitresses were so slow. I'm giving it two stars because the coffee was good but very expensive.

It’s as a absolute disaster. The blond waiter welcome us in a very nice way. But it was the only good service that she did. After we seat in your table took 15 minutes to come take the order for drinks. After a 10 minutes waiting for the drinks I start to get a bit annoyed sends they only have 3 tables to serve. My friend have a nutts allergy and I went inside to make the order and point to what I want to order. In the meantime she forgot to send the drinks to my table. After I order she follows me and ask me to pay right before I get my drinks and food, and the machine ask if I want to leave a tip( absolutely ridiculous to don’t skip that part after the poor service provide) I don’t recommend and please to the owner make sure to hire a better staff that can provide a quality service in place in such a good location

Not recommended. Tourist trap! And yes, unfortunately, we fell for it and we still feel stupid about it. Way too expensive pancakes that really aren't tasty and are absolutely not worth the money. Additionally, the waffle (8-euro Belgian plain waffle) was completely raw inside. This was not resolved further, and there was also a language barrier. The staff did not speak Dutch; this is not a problem, but the English was terrible too, and that doesn't help. We have learned our lesson and will be more careful before entering a place again.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. There were five of us, and we ordered three pizzas in total. Sadly, all three pizzas had a strong taste of dish soap. The dough itself was perfectly fine, but the toppings tasted so strongly of dish soap that we couldn't finish our pizzas. We even tried removing the toppings – afterward, the dough tasted normal, which only reinforced the impression that the problem lay with the toppings. There were also many small bubbles visible on the pizzas (see photo). Of course, bubbles can form during baking, but these looked unusual to us and unfortunately exacerbated the overall impression. We also ordered pasta, which was equally disappointing. It was still very firm in places and didn't seem to be cooked through properly. When we asked for garlic oil, we were brought a garlic dip instead, without any explanation. Only later did we discover that this had been charged at €4. Had we been told beforehand that there was no garlic oil and that a separate, chargeable dip would be served instead, we could have decided for ourselves whether we even wanted it. Even before we ordered, the waiter seemed annoyed because we were waiting for the rest of our group. Unfortunately, the entire service and the food were completely disappointing. We were tourists from Germany in Amsterdam and had been looking forward to a nice dinner. Sadly, the opposite was true. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this restaurant to other tourists and would definitely not eat there again ourselves.

Food is okay not out of this world good plus they forgot a few items from my order. My friend ordered a single pancake and waited over 25 mins for it and was then told it wasn't processed even though it took his money. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

Staff are rushed which results in poor quality coffee. My flat white tasted of burnt milk and the utensils were dirty. I ordered an American pancake but they served me a Dutch pancake. It was fine, just not what I wanted.

The food is very good and all pancakes are made fresh the coffee was also super good

My bacon was RAW and when we pointed it out to the staff they insisted that it was supposed to be like that we refused to eat the raw bacon and made them redo it which they were very rude about + it was very overpriced

The food is so nice! Im seeing the reviews from this place and I agree with the “one star” opinions.. It is a pity that they have a good product and lack of organization. Buy some device for calling the clients who are upstairs, tell the clients where exactly to order, QR’s are better visible on the table, I feel lack of communication between the workers, faster service… this place could be perfect, if those recommendations are done; it will be one day.

Uses scan code service only. Then it's really slow. The only reason to use this system is to speed things up. This has been used to reduce employees to a very low quality service. Food ok.

A very tasty breakfast. Sure, the price is a bit higher, but you'll be full for a really long time and everything is freshly prepared.

Creep place is a right name. For 18€ l received just one dry pancake.

I loved my pancake. It was light and filling for a really hot day. The girls were simply lovely and really friendly.

We had two crepes for breakfast, one with Nutella and the other with caramelized banana, and a waffle with cream and strawberries. Everything was very good, although I found the waffle a little dry. We also had a very good hot chocolate and a latte. The total came to €60. I suppose the price is reasonable here in Amsterdam, but we thought it was quite expensive. The staff were very friendly, and we didn't have to wait too long for our breakfast.

Delicious pancakes, super tasty cappuccino and really friendly staff. 5 out of 5 from us. Our first stop since landing from Ireland and it was worth it.

A very warm and welcoming place with a wonderful positive atmosphere. The coffee is delicious, and the pancakes are absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh, tasty, and served with a smile. Terrible, they clean tables, perhaps before closing, because during the long time I've never seen one cleaned, and to think that I had to wait almost 3/4 of an hour for 1, I repeat 1, pancake, with eight friends waiting for me to satisfy this curiosity... absurd and unthinkable. I would have left if they hadn't made me spend a whopping €27 for a pancake and a cappuccino, obviously paid before consuming.

The service was quite dissapointing here. Not only my order was mistaken but when the girl showed up with the wrong order, it felt heavily like she was waiting and expecting me to accept the crepes instead of just making the right batch of pancakes. They didn’t even say a sorry for the wasted time and extra time for waiting. And because it wasn’t enough, I had a terrible bellyache 4h later from their pancakes. PANCAKES THAT ARE OVERPRICED AF BTW!! 20€ for the most basic bellyaching pancakes. Thanks for the great experience ✌️

The pancakes were delicious, though we were a little worried about the quality, noticing the star rating after ordering. The ones with pulled chicken/peppers and onions were particularly good, but the ones with strawberries and Nutella/strawberries were no different. The prices were quite high, the wait was quite long, but the service was friendly. The atmosphere was average (quite loud music, noisy guests next door).

What a wonderful treat wonderful into this lovely establishment. Sara was so pleasant and delighted to greet us. I had a delicious and warm hot chocolate + a freshly made Belgian Liege Waffle (Lotus Caramel)! It was 10s across the board. So yummy with just the right balance of all flavors! Typical tourist trap. Overpriced pancakes that are even drier than the snacks on a party boat. On top of that, it was about 35 degrees inside, which was unbearable.

A Viennese coffee was all I ordered. The coffee was good. The service from the young lady was with a smile and we shared a laugh over her ability to make the coffee look good.

Completely overpriced - paid 8 Euros for one cup of tea in a paper cup. There was an extra fee for the paper cup. I didn't order to go. Coffee prices also outrageous. No toilet according to the staff. Service ok.

So, the food was excellent...a little expensive for my taste! The girl's friendliness left a bit to be desired.

The staff is completely overwhelmed. There are only three of them, and no one seems to have any idea what's going on. Everyone's doing a little bit of everything, but no one's doing it properly. They probably only survive because a new tourist comes in every day! Waiting half an hour for two cappuccinos is too long, and if you complain to the staff, they're rude. On top of that, it's way too expensive.

We had to use the restroom with the children. They didn't charge us anything… That's what I call service!! And after our outing, we went back to eat!

Coffee and short menu satisfied our hunger when we got in to Amsterdam early and needed a breakfast spot across from our hotel. Had a flat white and a bacon and cheese dutch pancake.

We had a quick layover in Amsterdam and stopped in for a latte and a Nutella pancake. It was delicious and the staff were very welcoming.

Very strong chocolate! And lovely to have fresh juice after the boat trip. The apple pancake is good, we had an enjoyable afternoon tea here.

The food was delicious, it took some time but worth it. It is pretty expensive though, so you should be aware of that. It is more of a restaurant experience based on the price.

Service was slow and did not know what they were doing. Pancakes came out undercooked and in pieces. Unsanitary and used tongs that fell on floor. Toilet not clean and taps not working. Did not accommodate to food requests for allergies. Not worth the money

Two tasteless pancakes, barely topped, for 34 euros? Avoid them!

Worst service ever. The staff was arguing in front of customers. We went on a Sunday at lunch time and there was nothing left from the savoury options (other than salmon). We were waiting more than 40 minutes and in the end we left as we couldn't even place an order as they" were not ready to take more "

Pancake here brought me back to mom's kitchen, texture and taste is exactly the same service here is good as well, waitress are friendly it was so delicious making me forgot to take picture completely, when I realized I shall take a photo to proof I was a real customer the pancake was in my belly already food and service are much much better than those 4.6 stars pancake shopsss

From the moment we entered, we was not acknowledged by staff at all and had to workout how the shop operated We went upstairs as the tables for the group we had coming to join us was going to be 6 in total, then went downstairs to order American pancakes and I was told they didn’t have this, even though it was 11am in the morning, and she said she had Dutch pancakes only, but could do what was with the American pancakes only a Dutch one, which I agreed with and also ordered two oak milk lattes, when I told her I was sitting upstairs she seemed not impressed that she would have to bring the food up and i went on to pay but could sense she was not happy. When the four people came to join us upstairs they went downstairs to order and they were told that she not going to be bring all the food and coffees upstairs and that we should come down and sit downstairs which we said we wanted to sit together, and downstairs didn’t have the space for 6 people like we had found upstairs, then she replied that we split up and sit in groups of two, by this point we had, had enough and asked for a refund and left, the service was so bad from the start until we left, I would highly not recommend this place to anyone visiting Amsterdam central

The waitress was incredibly rude and unpleasant. The wait times were extremely long—over half an hour for a crepe. They call you when it's ready, shouting from downstairs, and expect you to understand even though you can barely hear them. Plus, they served it to me without cutlery. Everything was done with such bad manners. At least the pancakes were tasty. Definitely a place I won't be returning to.

Drinks are lovely and staff are very friendly. Cafe is located opposite the train station in Amsterdam central. We are gluten free so we didn't eat here. However they have a great selection of coffees with milk alternatives at a reasonable extra cost and a good selection of syrups. Would recommend here for drinks.
