Nice cafe with good prices. Unfortunately, the service is only moderately polite, but OK.

Cozy pub, right by the tram stop, so plenty to see :-) Great beers and friendly staff. Whenever we're in Amsterdam, we always stop by.

Went there last week whilst on holiday. We were drinking outside fine, having a couple of drinks, and wanted to go in and have a dance. Bouncer said we couldn't come in because we were wearing shorts (even though there were men wearing shorts inside and he let people in with shorts behind us). Either didn't want foreigners in there or just didn't take a liking to us for whatever reason, but was rude about it nonetheless. Wouldn't bother trying to get in there when it's party time. Waiting staff were nice enough though when we were ordering drinks outside.

My husband and I came to order food. We waited over an hour. I haven't seen anything like that before. The chicken cutlet fell apart. The vegetables they served were probably frozen and thawed a few times. I've never tasted anything like that in my life. I wouldn't order food there under any circumstances. I specifically looked at the kitchen, what the atmosphere was like and how many staff there were. The kitchen was dirty, and there were three cooks, if you can call them that. Who let them into the kitchen? 🤦‍♀️ If you drink alcohol or soft drinks, you can, but you can't eat under any circumstances 👎 It's designed for an uninformed tourist 👎

I also tested the toilet, the food is very bad

Unfortunately, you get your bread here with mold, and you also have to wait an hour for your food. This is not normal!!

Waitresses are very rude, server spilled our drinks and when we asked for a replacement since our drinks were now dripping down our tables, they got mad, and they were just annoyed throughout the whole time we were there. They were obviously drunk already at 5pm, we asked for cloths or napkins to wipe the spilled drinks on our table and they got ever more pissed. cannot give 0 stars, Avoid this bar if you aim to have a great day.

Oh my God, almost missed this cafe! What a beautiful vibe! Great service so well handled. Awesome music! Must visit during weekends in the evening!

Simple cafe / bar looking out on to Rembrandtsplein. Just the job for a simple omlette and beer lunch. Several slices of plain white bread were a Dutch surprise.

The Cafe has a good location and nice atmosphere. However, the toilet was dirty and too old.

Worst experience ever. They spilled 6 drinks all over us, whatever, it happens. When we requested the drinks to be replaced the server got very mad saying “are you really going to do this?”. They kept coming back and making underhanded remarks while walking past. Never coming back.

Very cozy cafe with some lunch options that were really great for a low price! We were able to enjoy the winter sun on the terrace with a nice hot chocolate. We also found the staff very friendly and family-like.

Lovely place at Rembrandtplein. It is our to-go spot for catching up and amazing for people-watching! In my experience the employees are quick and friendly. If it is cold, there are heat lamps for the outside terrace.

Ik snap de negatieve reviews niet echt. Die lijken me fake. Personeel is juist heel aardig hier en altijd attent. Lekkere bitterballen ook.

Echt Amsterdams café., dit in tegenstelling tot heel veel andere tenten op het Rembrandtplein. Ik mis het Amstersamse gevoel op het plein. Er wordt zelfs ABN gesproken Erg vriendelijk personeel

Hele bruine kroeg aan het Rembrandtplein met aardige bediening. De toiletten echter, zijn de slechtste die ik in jaren ben tegengekomen. Op de heren wc geen toiletbril, geen slot, geen wc papier en bij het fonteintje niks om je handen aan af te drogen. Bovendien leken er allelei zaken van de muren getrokken in de wc waardoor het lijkt op een afbraakpand.

Aanrader, al helemaal als Ajax speelt.

Die Location ist eigentlich gar nicht so schlecht. Das personal war ok nur sollte die WC Anlage mal unbedingt erneuert werden.

Touristic location to look around, drink menu is standard. I believe it's ok to take a short break at this bar

Heel gezellig cafeetje in Amsterdam, bij het Rembrandtplein. Het personeel is vrolijk, vriendelijk en sociaal. Dank voor de gezelligheid en tot snel!

Great authentic Dutch bar!! The place to go for your no nonsense pint of beer or grab a cheese plate. Awesome staff and owner who are in for a laugh as well as help you with ideas for visits in the city. Previous read comments about the food seem to be from other places on the square as they don’t serve things as pasta or salmon here. If you want to have the real Amsterdam experience, this is the place to go!

Old school Ajax café, altijd goed!! Hier een wedstrijd gekeken met een lunch erbij... Was super en vriendelijk personeel..

Schöner Platz zum sitzen, zentral am Rembrandtplein. Preise dementsprechend. Personal wirkt unmotiviert.

Service langwierig und Personal nicht wirklich freundlich. Die Getränke waren keinen Stopp wert. Lieber andere Cafés ausprobieren oder nur Kaltgetränke nehmen.

The size of one portion of fries is a joke. 4.70 € for kids-size
