Very nice spot to grab a sandwich at lunch. Had a tuna sandwich, it was very good. Waiters were very sweet. Right next to the canal too.

Me and my boyfriend were trapped in sense of finding a place to eat, lots of highly sought cafes recommended by tourists online being full. Or unwilling to find us a table. This place was welcoming, a lovely menu too, very much appreciated. Not all meat! My sandwich was gorgeous and thought the quality of the bread was amazing. Well deserved for the price you pay :) thanks for making my holiday more joyful.

Great local coffeeshop with authentic vibes. The apple cake is amazing and the coffee is good. Stayed here to work for the morning and ended up getting their pea soup, which felt really home cooked. Good to escape the tourist crowds nearby.

The food isn't amazing (the soup arrived lukewarm) and the setting is unremarkable (the toilets are in poor condition, for example). The service has made up for it a bit, but it's not worthy of a guidebook.

The service is impolite, the coffee is disgusting, the mulled wine is the worst in my life, cold 100 ml of wine with a piece of orange. Waiting time for coffee is 400 minutes. I do not recommend and will never go again.

Nice place to have some snacks & drinks after walking.

The food here is overpriced and falls short in quality. The waiter mentioned that the pasta would come with chorizo, but when it arrived, it was just pasta with a hint of chorizo oil, not even an actual sauce. Not worth the cost, unfortunately.

Very bad. Waited half an hour for us to be helped, half an hour for the coffee to arrive. No glass of water when I asked. My mother had a fly in her orange. If the location was not good and we had not been sitting in the sun, it would have received 1 star. Location great, service disastrous

I love this place, good Belgian beer, nice snacks and food. But the girl from the bar, destroyed all our good mood. I hope next time we'll be served by someone else. Out of that, place is very nice with good location and small but tasty menu ☺️

Great people watching while getting a drink or coffee. Next to 9streets shopping. Also great for catching rays! Go here and stop shopping and feel like a local.

We came across this cafe by chance. This is a great place where you can have not only breakfast but prosecco for breakfast. A great combination, especially if you're celebrating something first thing in the morning. Cheesecake was also tasted. I really liked it! They noticed that the locals were coming. The coffee in the institution is Italian. We recommend!

We went for some breakfast and sat inside as it was colder but I can see that this would be a great place to enjoy some beers. Nice staff and good value food although service did seem on the slower side, but this could just be down to how popular it seemed.

Today we spent a day in Amsterdam and had a drink here. Because the weather was warm and the dog had already walked far, we also asked for a bowl of water for the dog. Twice, but the lady didn't feel like bringing this. That's why we give 1 star to our dog.

Lovely terrace with a great view of the water. The food was a bit pricey, but it tasted delicious!

nice to sit and enjoy a good beer

I went alone for a sightseeing break. The atmosphere makes it easy for even one person to enter. This time I only ordered coffee, but there was a variety of food available and it looked delicious. The store clerk was also kind.

I was disappointed with my experience at this spot. It seems the staff may need a refresher on basic classic cocktails as they are not very good. Service was rude and arrogant.. A quick check of the cocktail recipes might help ensure a better experience for future guests.

This restaurant doesn't deserve any stars. We had to get our menus ourselves after waiting 20 minutes! Very unfriendly.

Great coffee and apple pie. They have tables either side of the road near the cafe or near the picturesque canal. Quiet a busy pedestrian intersection, so plenty of ‘people watching’!!!

Great spot to sit outside and soak in the sun when it’s peeking through the clouds. Sitting on the corner (big plus) at 213° on the compass. And, you did want to know that because you receive sun all afternoon, something Dutchies need. Back to the bar itself. I didn’t have any food but only a couple average IPAs. The beer selection looked a little weak but I will give it another try with some food. There’s plenty of seating outside, also across the street next to the canal as well as inside. I’m sure it’s full of tourist during the summer months. That’s all for now.

Horrible the drinks very bad capuchino and apero

Per l'ultimo pranzo della nostra vacanza ad Amsterdam abbiamo provato questo locale dato il bel tempo e la possibilità di sedersi e consumare in riva ad un canale. Mangiare nella media e tempi di attesa mediamente lunghi, senza infamia e senza lode.

Fantastic lunch spot, the sun was shining, the vibes were good, the cannel was busy, the drinks were nice and the food was great. Would definitely recommend. Service was friendly and efficient. One of the highlights of our day. Will be going back when I’m next in Amsterdam.

A lovely terrace view and a memorable service.

We were there on a Saturday evening for drinks and it was the most terrible service ever, although the place was not busy. We waited too long for the menu, for our drinks and the bill. So long that we ordered drinks inside and also paid the bill inside to avoid our server. The server was young and completely ignorant of the guests, he kept French kissing his girlfriend in front of us and it made us very uncomfortable. At one point he just sat down at his gf table to smoke and drink with her at that point we lost all hope. It wouldn’t have been as bad, if he would have actually been still able to serve us.

Un très jolie petit café avec une nourriture très bonne. Idéal pour une pause lors de notre visite en ville. Le personnel était très gentil et serviable. Nous avons pu manger avec notre chienne.

Nice cafe in the heart of Amsterdam. I’m the regular guest here. Terrace is very popular during summer. Staff very hospitable and friendly. Especially Oscar. Always with a smile and very caring of customers.

The waiters took 1 hour to serve us 3 sandwiches and a soup 😡. Plus the food wasn't that amazing... I really don't recommend.

We found this cute and friendly cafe when looking around Amsterdam yesterday. We had such a warm welcome from the friendly waiter. A varied sandwich, burger and pasta menu that is relatively small but covers many dietary requirements. Veggie sandwich for me, eggs, ham and cheese grilled on brioche for my husband and Dutch pancakes for my daughter. All delicious, prompt and served with great beer and a white hot chocolate!! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed late lunch sitting in the sunny window seat overlooking the canal and would recommend visiting this very reasonably priced cafe right in Amsterdam.

We went for lunch and dinner and really enjoyed it. Great food and very friendly service. Highly recommended.

Really cute little bar on the canal with great service and a large range of beers both on tap and in the bottle. My friend is sober and had a large choice of alcohol free beverages too.

I love this place and sitting on the large table in the middle of the room. The service is pleasant and attentive It's a cool place. We go there to let ourselves slip into the skin of Amsterdam. I love these rays of sunshine that come to bathe the place in the middle of the afternoon. We can eat and drink Good and rustic pea soup Very good beef croquettes Sandwich with white or brown bread of your choice A little crush on the super fries (it's rare) I like this place, I feel good there.

A warm and friendly atmosphere. Our server was so welcoming and lovely. The dark hot chocolate was delicious and it was so nice there that we decided to go back later on for lunch. We had a great pasta dish.

Café het Paleis is a cozy coffee house in the center of Amsterdam. The decor is retro and the atmosphere is friendly. The staff is friendly and helpful. The coffee is delicious, and the cake is freshly baked. I would definitely recommend Café Het Paleis to anyone looking for a nice place to relax with a cup of coffee and a piece of cake.

Toch wel prettig zo'n gastvrij eetcafé waar ontbijt, lunch en diner mogelijk is. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is prima. Eigenlijk was alles lekker wat ik genutigd had. De inrichting is prima, maar kan altijd nog iets beter. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk, attent en de service was perfect!

Een hele leuke eetcafe je hebt een ruim assortiment aan keuzes wat je wilt eten of drinken, ligt op een mooie locatie aan de singel een heel mooi plekje om te eten, de bediening is top geen klachten over, ben zeer te vrezen

i really can recommend the burger with fries. such a lovely corner. it has the most beautiful spot in town between the dam square and the nine streets. staff seems to have a good sense of humour. Next time I am in amsterdam I definitely revisit this place.keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍 👌 💪 😎

Nice food especially the bread. We were there for breakfast. The service was nice and accommodating.

Ik bestelde een latte macchiato en uitsmijter 3 eieren op bruinbrood. Ik kreeg een koffie verkeerd, uitsmijter met 2 eieren op witbrood. De medewerkster was nederlands dus van spraakverwarring was geen sprake.
