Café "Los" in Grachtengordel-Zuid

I'll start by saying it's a very charming and extremely captivating bar. My friend and I entered, drawn by the pub's captivating aesthetic. Inside, there were only a couple of customers sitting at the bar. We sat down too, and I asked the lady (I assume the owner) what beer she'd recommend. She snarked and told me to get my favorite, then asked me in an annoyed tone what beer I wanted. After ignoring this, when it came time to pay, she responded in a curt and rather rude manner, and then a blast of icy, extremely strong air conditioning seemed to hit only the spot where my friend and I were sitting, forcing us to take shelter at the tables. A rather disturbing experience; I definitely won't be returning. The beer and location were good.

I just entered in to this pub a few moments ago. It was my first pub in Amsterdam, and I was going to grab a quick drink. My phone had died and I was trying to meet up with a friend. I walked in the pub, and absolutely not a single person was there. I went to sit my stuff down and grab a table near an outlet to charge my phone, and then head up to the bar to grab a drink. When I turned around there were two elderly people sitting with the bartender in the corner, I had not seen when entering. They asked me what I was looking for and I tried to explain I was trying to find a place to sit with an outlet. The two people along with the bartender himself (older bald man) immediately started berating me. I was pretty confused and I believe they were angry that I had not said hi to them or that I was walking to the back of the bar looking for a table. I was very confused and as I tried to explain I was just trying to put my stuff down, find a table with an outlet, and had not seen them when I entered they got angry and told me to go to tn e bar next door. I told them they’re behavior was strange, as it’s not normal in any context to be yelling at someone half your age over not saying “hello” since they had not seen you (as you were sitting in the corner of a dimly lit bar behind the door). It was the most immature and erratic behavior from any adults I had seen, I told them they were being weird and promptly left the bar (keep in mind I was the only person in the pub on a Saturday afternoon, therefore they single handedly drove away the only business). Every single other bar on the strip is crowded with lively employees. When I went next door they let me sit at a table, didnt yell at me, and even gave me a tea on the house.

Small but fun, loud music and dancing inside, and activity in the square outside.

I love that place, I used to go there years ago and it is the best Dutch pu in Rembrantdplein. No frills no bolloxs! Hans the guvnor been there for over 25 years and he is a great fellow.. sport showed on screen, good beer selection and a very friendly, not touristy Dutch/ Amsterdam people there!

Cleanest restroom ever in town and reasonable prices and good music!

Last Saturday, August 23, 2025. I went to café LOS with my dear friends Nancy and Henny. It was the first time for me. But for my friends, it was the umpteenth time. In one word: PERFECT. FEELS LIKE YOU'RE AT HOME. REALLY RELAXING. I DEFINITELY ENJOYED IT. PS THANKS TO HENNY AND NANCY.

Always cozy. It feels like we're dropping in on friends, sitting down and catching up. And of course, football and Formula 1 are on too!

Do not come here. Bunch of racist folks. Avoid at all costs

Considering this is on the Rembrandtplein, it’s never been busy when I’ve stopped in. Decent enough bar with one or two TV’s.

Very cozy corner bar, staff was nice and beer was cold. I don’t know what more you need.

Very very good atmosphere. We were on match day and it was full of fans doing the preview, really fun and welcoming. The charming manager.

Non ci ricordiamo una mazza di cosa è successo dentro questo locale. Dopo essere stati al karaoke di fianco, siamo entrati qui visto che c'era musica e si ballava. Molta gente, abbastanza adulta, ci siamo messi a bere e ballare anche noi. E ci siamo sicuramente divertiti...

You have to visit this pub, its authentic! Especially when you are a Feyenoord supporter. ;-)

Ik ben daar jaren gekomen als servicemonteur van de bierbrouwer Bavaria, vooral met koningsdag vele jaren. De oud eigenaar Janus???? (is overleden) konden wij een potje breken, we plaatsten toen altijd een drankpaviljoen op de hoek en sloten die aan bij de biertanks op een slaapkamer op de eerste verdieping de bierleiding ging door het raam naar beneden, altijd feest daar we gingen daar graag heen, helaas jaren geleden ik heb daar vele leuke dingen meegemaakt. Als ik in Amsterdam ben MOET ik daarheen. Walther van Kessel - Beek en Donk.

Het moment dat je binnenkomt doet het personeel z'n best om ons naar onze zin te maken. Vriendelijk en aardig. Zijn toppers. Hier krijg je waar voor je geld.

Good bar. Wide selection of beers. Little rowdy though

Alerte bediening gastvrij, vriendelijk, met humor. En de beste terras locatie van het Rembrandtplein te midden van alles 😉💪

Een goede bruin bar gezelligheid staat nr 1 bediening lekker snel en je kan ook allerlei sporten bekijken op de 2 schermen dus ja kom gezellig langs doe ik al 7 jaar

Heerlijk een plaatselijke Amsterdamse kroeg met gewone en gezellige mensen. Echt Amsterdams!

Vriendelijk personeel, gezellige Nederlandse muziek en niet onbelangrijk: Snel en koud bier :)

Wat een leuke plek om lekker mensen te kijken op het plein onder genot van een heerlijk biertje met fijne bediening!!! Komen zeker trug!

Super bar in het hart van Amsterdam, en ook een geweldige barman. Zeker een bezoekje waard als je in de buurt ben.

Cuanto menos se diga, mejor sobre Cafe Los. Estábamos teniendo una gran noche bailando hasta que llegó un grupo de ladronas. Literalmente les quitamos nuestras pertenencias. Pero cada uno de nosotros sospechamos que hubo algo más que un robo al azar. Sospechamos firmemente que había mucha gente en ese bar que sabía exactamente lo que nos iba a pasar. Es una historia demasiado larga para aquí. Pero hay muchos bares geniales en Amsterdam. Te sugiero que elijas otro.

Good spot for good drinks that won't brake the bank. Also far enough out of the center that you can get a better feel for local life and not all tourist life.

Un pequeño gran pub en medio de una concurrida plaza llena de restaurantes. Ideal para ver deportes y se pone muy animado por la noche.

Great spot in Rembrandtplein for beers. Stuff is nice friendly and well prepared, good pub/bar atmosphere. Nice to spend some time after work or with some friends and have fun
