A steak and cheese sandwich and a glass of wine for 20 euros, nothing special. The manager is a rude character who shouts "cash or card" at me before I've even finished paying and then gives me a lecture. In short, avoid this place.

The gentleman was very nice, the food was delicious, and he even gave us dessert! The bar is right by the sea, which gives it a great view. It's also next to the metro station. I recommend it.

Had a lovely evening at Cafe Mankind. A friend and I booked here on a hot weekday in August, and we enjoyed refreshing beers and food in a relaxing environment right next to the canal. Service was great and food was prompt. Poffertjes for dessert were especially delicious!! 10/10 recommend!

Very cool place! Come in boldly, but don't forget about the small money. Very cool place and staff. I will be glad to recommend this place to other people.

I had the meatballs and pickled herring here, and they were yummy! The only downside is the EXTREMELY SLOW service… even waiting for a glass of beer took us 15 to 30 minutes. So if you’re in a hurry, this place might not be the best choice.

Thanks to Ferhat Bey's kindness, we ate the "double smash burger." It was delicious. We had a delightful evening with the canal view and Ferhat Bey's presentation. I highly recommend it.

Located directly on a canal, the ambiance with the passing boats is absolutely unique. The restaurant's interior has a pub-like feel with a long bar. A great combination! The food (croquettes and poffatjes) was excellent in terms of quality and taste, and reasonably priced. I also had a cider, while my partner had a beer. Great location and completely on the ground floor.

Both sandwiches were lovely, the apple pie and the mini Dutch pancakes were delicious

Stumbled across this lovely bar to shelter from the rain. Got a table right on the canal. Staff were very friendly. Ordered some drinks and snacks. Snacks were delicious. Had such a nice experience we went there again a few days later. Thank you to the staff who were lovely. Would highly recommend this place.

Cafe Mankind is absolute a gem of a restaurant. Beautiful outside seating, along the canal. Lovely seating inside with bar option. The Goat salad was excellent. Salad very fresh. My daughter had the Supreme sandwich which was very, very tasty, plus Apple Bandit hard cider that was a sweet version of great hard cider.

This place had a solid BLT sando and the seats right on the river are lovely. Service was good too. The location is nice and close to a lot of big art museums which I found handy ; I’d come back here for sure.

Very charming place a little out of the way from the city center. The menu includes traditional Dutch snacks, sandwiches, but also fish & chips and something sweet

A great spot for something light to hear and a quick drink. Had a couple of sandwiches and some bitterballen for lunch and it hit the spot on a cold wet day. Staff were also really nice, recommend popping in. We had a steak sandwich and a BLT, steak sandwich in particular was good.

Ha perdido por completo su ambiente local y no es más que un restaurante más para ganar dinero (los precios también han subido -aunque modestamente en comparación con algunos lugares! ) La comida estaba mal cocinada y se equivocaron de orden. Cute little bar located above a canal in Amsterdam, just before a bridge. Excellent location to enjoy a beautiful view! Good food and fast service! The entrée offered by the house was also appreciated. Ideal for those who want to spend little, keep lunch light and have a quick meal.

Fuimos allí después de un largo paseo en Amsterdam. Probamos el típico frito - albóndigas - como plato y un bocadillo de tocino. La comida estaba bien, especialmente si se tiene en cuenta el punto de precio (~ 10 € para un bocadillo). En cualquier caso no fue nada increíble

What an amazing find! Lovely restaurant with great food and very nice seats outside by the canal. I went after visiting the Rijksmuseum and I am very glad I did. The burger was absolutely incredible and the staff was lovely.

Enjoy sitting on the canal near the Rijksmuseum, but away from the hustle and bustle. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. We ordered 2 rosé, the glasses of which were 2/3 full, so no Hague bakkies. Friendly and fast service without being rushed.

We had an amazing experience at Mankind. Food was great. we had the delicious Double smashed burger, BLTC, cheese & steak sandwiches. Everything was just great, helpful and nice service. The apple pie was just the perfect end of an amazing experienc. We will definitely come back.

This little place is a real find for tourists and is definitely worth a stop. Excellent service, delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. We had a kind of snack and cold beers, the prices are affordable and the flavors on the menu have something for everyone.
