The blond male staff member realized we were Turkish and made up an excuse that the kitchen was closed. However, snacks were being served to German and Dutch customers. The restroom costs 1 euro. I don't recommend it.

A traditional Amsterdam bar with a warm and friendly vibe. Most of the customers are welcoming, the service is great, and there’s a wide selection of beers to choose from. The atmosphere is very pleasant and not too crowded.

Typical Amsterdam cafe with a nice mix of locals and tourists. The bartenders are friendly and good to have a chat with!

Food from outside is not accepted. Potatoes are good, 6.50 euros. Bitterbellopon is 8.50 euros. It might be nice to relax.

It's a fine pub, but don't eat there. Dry fish, incredibly salty pesto on the carpaccio (bad meat too). It's a shame; it was delicious a year ago. Friendly staff though!

We went there for brunch, a classic but good meal. We were seated on the terrace, which is a little noisy because it is right in front of an intersection. I recommend the place for a quick but pleasant lunch.

Had a great evening, a quick dip in the toilets wouldn't have hurt and it's a shame they didn't have a Salt Strike but we enjoyed it

It was great that the music was immediately turned down a lot when we (carefully) asked for it.

Fabulous cafe bar with delicious local food, a great atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff. A wonderful find which we would definately visit again.

A bit slow service but great location

Pretty traditional-style establishment integrated into the neighborhood and welcoming regulars as well as tourists. Very good value for money. Except the bottle of water which was expensive.

When the sun shines, the outdoor seats will be full of people enjoying the sunshine. (But the apple pie is not very tasty and does not go well with the ice cream)

One waitress was so rude on two visits. The first day we came there were very polite young men. Don't go here unless desperate and ThE KITCHEN DOESN'T OPEN UNTIL NOON. that's the waitress yelling at 11.20 am

A lucky find on our first night, so good we went back twice more! A young staff who are charming, efficient and very friendly. Remembered our preference for ice in our wine, gold star! Simple but tasty food. Great atmosphere, great prices, highly recommend.

Had a really nice evening at café Mulder! There were ten of us and in no time a long table was set up. To our surprise there was an extensive menu. The food was really great with an apple pie made in the house as the last, rarely eaten such a delicious pie! The service was nice and cozy! In short, a great evening and definitely recommended!!

It is impressive how every time i go to Dutch run businesses it is either such a good experience or the polar opposite. I have never met a more bothered and straight up rude waitress. Everything we asked for became a punishment for her. And the waiter was also rude but in a more obnoxious way. forgettable and expensive food for what it is. However, nice terrace to get to some sunshine. Wouldn’t recommend…

The new owner has given the business a fresh, cozy look, but with respect for the charm of the Amsterdam brown pub. The terrace is lovely, perfect for a sunny afternoon. You can not only enjoy the sun, but also the delicious food and the nice staff. We had dinner and this was also possible with a reservation for 10 people at a long table, excellently arranged!

We have been coming to Cafe Mulder for decades, but it was the first time we came for lunch. We ate onion soup with fries. As stated above, we were extremely satisfied. The food was excellent; the service too and the atmosphere extremely pleasant in the middle of the day. The quietness at that time of day (around noon) also allowed us to enjoy the beauty of the cafe! It has been renovated in detail with great care. That is very clever.

My husband and I sat at the window on barstools in this cozy pub situated on a corner lot in a busy area so people watching was a lot of fun! The server was very kind and although we did not order any "bar bites" the couple next to us did and it looked yummy!

Horrible service. We booked this restaurant for Valentine’s Day and was completely ignored when we arrived, no staff member came to us.The lady behind the bar then came to us and before we could tell her we have a table booked, she abruptly said to wait. A waiter then came to us and when we mentioned we booked a table, he just looked around the restaurant for space, then separated a table of 4 and told us to sit down, table was clearly not for us or ready for us. We decided to walk out so I can’t say much about the food. I wouldn’t recommend this place just for their service alone, they could've completely ruined our Valentine’s Day.

What a beautiful cafe restaurant. It is authentically Amsterdam. The lack of abnormally good food in a brown café is not a problem here. With starters such as sea bream tartare, carpaccio and more. With the main courses: sole, sirloin steak, vegetarian stew and more. Then the delicious desserts. Mulder knows how to find love through the stomach and atmosphere in people

Had a great evening at Cafe Mulder! The cafe has been completely renovated and has a very attractive atmosphere. The new chef makes delicious food. Start with the beetroot and chicory and the chicken and sole as main courses. Highly recommended for a very pleasant evening and delicious food in the middle of Amsterdam!

I always thought you spelled open with: O P E N, but I still doubt whether I am dyslexic since there was something on the door spelled D I C H T. But luckily the beer at the appie was cheaper. Location 10/10.

Café Mulder is a pleasant place for a relaxed outing. The beer is good and the staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxing and the prices are decent, making the place a good choice to spend a few hours with friends in the city. The waitress really knows how to pour beer. I recommend!

Overpriced. Also they didn’t have the cider and some of the food we wanted, the waitress wasn’t friendly, she was in a rush even though it wasn’t so busy. There was no toilet paper in the toilet. Didn’t have nice experience in this place

Nice bartenders, cozy atmosphere, service was very fast and on point, toilet paper was out, but when you told the staff it was immediately refilled!

Worst. The bar lady pours wine from glasses back into bottles just because she forgot what the customer ordered… :) Sounds crazy, but it is what it is) Also, the food is being brought from the low key shawarma shop next door and costs like a military helicopter. Luckily all the calories received over this shitty meal were definitely burned while we were trying to catch the waiter that was not even not paying attention but skillfully avoiding us alll… the time

Bad food, bad service, overpriced

Regular visitor to Cafe Mulder for 8 years. .we sat on the terrace with 4 old mates until 1.30 pm last night. While waiting for the taxi we met two young men who later told us they were the new owners. Ad Mulder was transferred as of May 1. Fortunately, everything remains as intact as possible as it was. Good place that we found by chance while walking. We had a good atmosphere for the Euro Cup. Great variety of beer and very good snacks. The bitterballen were very delicious.

We came to this place, it was open but the service staff said it was closed. But they were very rude and closed the door in our faces. They told us to go to Leidseplein, so whoever is reading this go to Leidseplein, it's not good here, especially for foreigners. Don't give money to people who don't know how to work and don't respect customers.

NB! They really don't serve Amstel on the terrace here. This was reported, and it was indicated that the beer was indeed not good. I just paid and there was no compensation whatsoever. Too bad about this.

Nice terrace, but ... you have to leave the terrace at 10:30 PM because then Keessie will start to get sick :-) No, all joking aside, this terrace is fun to watch people passing by, especially around rush hour 5 p.m.

Good Location, but very very very slow in service. I öderem one beer and some Bitterballen, almost wanted one hour for it. Won‘t be back April24 I was back after 7 months, and again I was ignored for half an hour. Incredible, this place can survive only thank to the tourists

An attractive café without a doubt. However… a gin that is not served with a cup on top!!! Don't let Carmiggelt hear it. And the excuse that it is the “gin machine”… really, stop with me. Fortunately, there are still alternatives

My beer with half glass full of foam didn’t come with a discount…. “Shrinkflation” is real at this place.

Café Mulder was a great experience on my visit to Amsterdam, I stopped by with a group of friends and we were very satisfied with the experience. This place will be on my list for my next trip to this amazing City.

We’ve tried bitterballen and westmalle dubbel here. beer was so good and i am falling in love with bitterballen! The staff was super friendly and energic!

A very nice pub near the Vijzelgracht metro station, where you can enjoy your drink in peace. The staff is polite and helpful. Finally, you can also get some small meals, such as bitterballen.

Not only did they have exactly what we were looking for - a charming setting near the window, delectable local cuisine, refreshing beverages, and delightful company from both fellow diners and attentive management but it also featured an impressively curated collection of fine art pieces showcased throughout its comfortable decorated interior space creating an enchantingly inviting ambiance perfect for winding down after sunset or any other time one might crave restoration & comfort; undoubtedly worth recommending this hidden gem tucked away within easy reach of the Rijksmuseum. I highly recommend.
