Cozy bar! Had a delicious meal with my family.

Very delicious food ,i realy had fun there,the atmosphere was nice, and the stuff very friendly

The owners did not feel the need to do anything about a group of racist, homophobic, islamophobic group of men, screaming insults and the vilest statements across the bar. Should have kicked them out instead of serving them another round.

So uncool to insist on serving to racists making salutes after this has been flagged to the owner. Get a backbone

Delicious food for a fair price.

Absolutely terrible experience. I wanted to use the bathroom and the bartender said it’s not a public toilet. I said I’ll order a coffee, but she refused to serve me claiming I “didn’t say hi,” which I actually did. I asked to speak with the manager, she refused, and then suddenly said she was the manager. After that, she gave me the payment terminal and entered 4 euros without even asking what coffee I wanted. When I said I hadn’t told her my order, she then changed it to 3.70 for the cappuccino I asked for. Incredibly rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Avoid this place at all costs. Happened on 5th of September around 1PM.

Close to metro station weesperplein. Many students and tourists who join. Easy to change tables depending on the sun. Sufficient staff. Toilet clean.

If you think your life is falling apart, try their burgers. It holds together even worse than your poor hangover friend. Fried (carameralized onion) in the burger should be banned by the European Commission. At least those that they make. Waitress is nice. The owner's attitude was uglier than her face. Highly recommend if you like to be humiliated

Very nice place to sit quickly, food was super fast. Price-quality ratio was perfect. The sandwiches are richly filled and taste delicious! Compliments to the Chef!

I have the impression that these people are fine serving their friends, if you're a stranger, or if you don't look like you fit the crowd they like, they can't be bothered. They put a lady behind the bar who claims not to be a drinker, so if you ask her what wines she has, she uses that as an excuse not to even try to give an answer. I asked if she had anything from South America, and she couldn't be bothered to look at the label, so I asked if I could and did it myself. She eventually offered to give me a taste, and I said that wasn't necessary. I was beyond consolation. I think she changed her mind about me and figured I wasn't the loser she first thought I was, so she served me a glass and offered to replace it if I didn't like it. I politely declined. I wish I was the millionaire she'd want to treat well, but I'm not that yet, but if I were, I'd buy the place and fire her on the spot. I don't know what has caused her to be bitter, but I came here to spend hard-earned money, and here in the Netherlands, people don't judge people by the way they look because the rich especially in Amsterdam like to walk around disguised as normal folk. But if you're NOT WHITE, you probably won't stand a chance either way. I've worn every hat there is to wear in my life, and I've always done my best in everything I do, If I had to stand behind the bar not knowing anything about drinks I'd do my best to learn, and I'd be very apologetic to any customer if my knowledge falls short, the last thing I'd be is bitchy. Who do these Eastern Europeans think they are? Is common courtesy not common after all? I'd stay away from this place, I'm taking my money else where.

Staff doesn’t understand the concept of ‘vegan’. Rude too.

The staff was extremely rude… we asked if a specific meal is vegetarian and the girl did not know and she did not even care. She did not ask anyone, she did not help us in anyway and she had a horrible attitude the whole time. I do not recommend.

Went with friends and we were so uncomfortable. Staff was rude, orders were forgotten and members were overcharged.

Well run stylish bar. We enjoyed a couple of tasty beers there towards the end of an evening.

Great for a quick meal in between. But we didn't like it very much. Hamburgers that were artfully stacked but therefore not really easy to eat, dry sandwiches and a salad that was drowning in dressing.

I asked for a croissant and a cappuccino, and sat outside. After a few minutes my coffee arrived, and I thought my croissant would arrive too, after all it was quite busy, but 10 MINUTES LATER it didn't. I asked them if my croissant was ready, and he said it wasn't ordered. So I ordered it, and he said there weren't any more croissants left. So in the end I left with my coffee cold and with my stomach empty. Thank God I'm not coming back again

We had a wonderful burger! The girl who served us didn't know how to make an Aperol Spritz, but she was so attentive that it wasn't a problem! I highly recommend it!

As evident from my profile, I rarely write reviews unless the experience was exceptional or dreadful. Cafe Noir firmly falls into the latter category, at least from my perspective. While your experience might differ, especially if you're Dutch or white, as a POC buitenlander, the service was particularly atrocious for us. We were ignored for the majority of our time there. When we finally managed to order fries, they arrived as a cold and soggy mess. I'm uncertain whether it was due to our race, nationality, or mere oversight, but I can confidently say that this place is not worth visiting! We won't be recommending this establishment to our colleagues. As my Rwandan friend eloquently expressed, "Not even a cheap restaurant in Rwanda would offer service or food of this standard!"

Nice little bar with decent atmosphere so worth dropping in but food was average at vest and service was slow. The barman/waiter was great but the bar was understaffed

Terrible experience, here's why. First of all whatever you do, don't get the chicken saté with fries. Now the dish itself has to be mentioned in my opinion. They give you a deep dish plate with at the bottom the fries, a substantial layer of.. lettuce? Yes lettuce, between my fries and the chicken. Saté sauce, quite easy to make but was clearly store bought. The most basic of dishes I would think but it took them 40 minutes to get it out. It arrived stone cold. After requesting the meal to be at an acceptable temperature it took them another 10 minutes to put it in the microwave and bring back. Aside from this there is just no concern for you as a guest, you really have to chase the staff to place an order. drinks took 10 min as well. Just 3 beers.. It was not busy at all. We had communicated at arrival that we were going to the theatre and had about an hour to eat and pay. This was a realistic estimation also according to the staff. My food became edible with about five minutes to spare so after chomping down the few pieces of chicken I also just had enough and wanted to leave as My blood started boiling a bit. Coming from someone that had 10+ years of experience in hospitality I can fairly say that I have rarely been this underwhelmed by the service and food. Not having a laugh when I say this establishment was dropped on it's head as a baby. Clearly the owner is showing a great attitude to all criticizing reviews so I invite you indulge in mine. Nice tent without pretensions. Good food for the price you pay and nice staff. Very easy to do

Walked in without a reservation prior to an evening at Carré. Most tables were occupied and it looked cozy. Friendly welcome and plenty of choice on the menu. I chose the steak, lettuce, grilled vegetables and fries... tasty served and it tasted just as it looked. The drinks were also neatly kept. We will definitely come back here!

Gezellig plekje om even te eten en wat te drinken. Vriendelijk personeel en prima eten. Wij hebben hier gezeten voorafgaand aan een bezoek aan Carré, wat vlakbij gelegen is.

Love this bar right across my work with nice setup of different floors. Great assortment of beers and snacks to dinners from cantarell next door, same owner. Prices a bit steep but the smile of my favourite waitress Anna makes amends! Great for a vrimibo!

Отличное кафе недалеко от центра Амстердама. Атмосферно, еда очень вкусная, порции огромные, отличное вино. Барменша-официантка приветливая, доброжелательная, на английском посоветовала какие блюда заказать, потому что меню во всех кафе только на голландском. Рекомендую!

Venus y manger hier soir, l'établissement ne paie pas de mine de l'extérieur mais l'ambiance à l'intérieur est très chaleureuse et conviviale. Nous avons pris une soupe à l'oignon, une salade noire et un cheesburger. Les assiettes sont très copieuses et les repas vraiment delicieux! A tel point que nous y sommes revenus ce soir. Je recommande fortement !

Found this on our last night in Amsterdam. Walked past it every day and never popped in. Food was devine, staff very friendly. Quick efficient service and quality food. Well priced too.

De bestelde gerechten hebben ons aangenaam verrast. Cesarsalade was op een heel speciale manier gemaakt, met onverwachte ingrediënten. Uiensoep, volgens mijn gasten, was uitstekend

Nice place. We had the tomato soup which came with a generous portion of bread and garlic butter which was great. The lamb with rice in satay sauce was great too. We came during a rainy day and the hot chocolate was great in that weather

Niet echt bijzonder en we moesten echt ons beste doen om een tweede (en derde) ronde te bestellen. Had een stuk meer ingezeten.

Hach, meine ersten Bitterballen nach 39 Jahren, was habe ich sie vermisst.... wir wollten nur unsere Füsse ausruhen und eine kurze Rast machen. Mit € 7,80 für 7 Bitterballen ist der Preis total überzogen, aber das war mir eigentlich in dem Moment sehr egal... ich hatte sie :) 4 Sterne nur wegen dem Preis und weil die Bedienung etwas sehr langsam war.

Dit is dé spot om een lekker drankje te halen in de buurt. Het personeel is onwijs vriendelijk en persoonlijk. De diversiteit is geweldig en als je iets mist op de kaart kun je rekenen op een customized cocktail!

Gezellig leuk aangekleed café. Sfeer is relaxed en ongedwongen. Aardig personeel. Het eten was heerlijk. Je betaalt wat meer voor bijv een schnitzel met friet dan bij een snackbar, maar het eten is ook echt HEEL goed. Zeker een plek waar ik nog eens heen zou gaan.

Oh wow, es tan encantador aquí. Ubicado justo al lado de la estación de metro, este lugar ofrece ofertas económicas y un servicio rápido y amable. Fue tan agradable que vinimos aquí dos veces en 2 días. La segunda vez conseguimos el café y el pastel por 4, 50. Este fue un café pequeño pero de buena calidad con el mejor brownie que he tenido. El café también viene con un pequeño chocolate encantador al lado. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Vooraf aan ons bezoek aan Carré willen we nog even dineren. Op weg van de parkeergarage naar het theater vinden we 'Noir'. Het ziet er uitnodigend uit en gaan binnen. Een vriendelijke bediening antwoord op onze vraag, dat we er inderdaad kunnen eten. De wijn is goed, de soep en salade zijn prima en ook de koffie is prima.

Un corto paseo desde nuestro hotel y un excelente lugar para tomar un café y pastelería antes de aventurarse en la ciudad. Ambiente cálido y acogedor personal.
