Cozy place to quietly drink coffee and read a book.

Atmospheric place, had a beer sitting in the armchair!

They treated me very kindly and cordially, and explained the cost of entering the church... but I decided not to. I came purely for a coffee. It's a very nice and clean place.

Nice little cafe. The Chardonnay Joselin is mediocre. A nice, quiet spot with a pleasant atmosphere.

Ordered via QR code but wasn't brought to the table. Left but paid. Don't leave!

Café Pieter, near the Pieterskerk in Leiden, is a small catering establishment in the historic part of Leiden. It is small and as part of the most beautiful church in Leiden, the decoration could have been nicer. If you order with a QR code, you are required to enter your first name, last name and telephone number, which is not up to date from a privacy perspective. The cappuccino is relative to the price and not of corresponding quality. The service is not fast but very friendly.

This cafe is located at Pieterskerk. With a high ceiling, big stained glass, classic hanging lamp, wooden interior, and calming piano music played in the background... It's a very peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable place. I stayed for 2 hours with tea and hot chocolate, reading my novel. Will try the cake next time 😊. In short.. Gezellig!

Good coffee for a reasonable price

Are you looking for a special place for a simple lunch? The right place, especially if you have never seen the Pieterskerk. The menu is very simple, no frills but no "green food" either. Beautiful place, small, unique, simple Nice people

Unfortunately a bad experience at checkout: too much was charged, cash refund was not possible, details left on paper with account number, unfortunately no 10 euros return has been received to date, appalling service....

Wonderful small cafe located in a former wing of Pieterskerk church. Nice ambient and good selection of food and beverage. Sockets only very limited available as old church building. EUR 5.00 entrance fee for visiting church itself; cafe entrance remains free oc

It's just besides a wonderful historical church

Waren er bij erge drukte, vieze glazen en personeel spreekt erg gebrekkig Nederlands. Alles met een glimlach maar je ziet dat het niet gemeend is.

Leuke, schone setting; erg vriendelijk personeel... Schuifdeur niet zo handig, want veroorzaakt duidelijk merkbare tocht...

Nice room to have coffee. The pie I ordered was rather small though and served without any garnish. For the visit of the church which I found very rewarding do you have to pay the entrance fee in any case.

Bijzonder vriendelijke bediening en dat is doorslaggevend voor de positieve beoordeling. De koffie en thee waren oké maar prijs was te hoog in verhouding met de presentatie: simpel glas, geen koekje, erg minimaal. Datzelfde is van toepassing op de bestelde tosties. Zesenhalve euro voor een basic tosti is over de top. De super kaastosti van zeveneneenhalve euro was goed maar waar de term 'super' aan ontleent is, blijft een raadsel. In ieder geval niet aan het formaat want dat was standaard.

Aardige mensen, fantastisch lekker Leidsch witbier maar kroketten bakken moeten ze nog ff oefenen, mogen wel iets minder lang in het vet 🧑‍🍳

Cafeetje in/naast de Pieterskerk. Voor ons een goede tussenstop tijdens ons rondje Leiden (met de Leidse Loper). We hebben er even wat gedronken (warme chocolademelk met slagroom was heerlijk!) en we hebben daarna de kerk bekeken.

Schitterende locatie en ambiance, vriendelijk personeel en je kunt er van alles lekkers nuttigen, zoals lokaal Leids bier.

Sehr stilvolles kleines Café direkt am Pieterskerk. Einfach nett und gemütlich!

A friendly and traditional cafe with a lovely atmosphere and fine good value food. Quite a find.

What a find. Nice, fun lady who runs the place. Excellent food: I had the rissoles which were delicious, followed by their apple pie. This pie beats any other I’ve ever tasted: spiced with a little cinnamon, and baked with a buttery sugar crust which was slightly caramelised. Both courses were perfect. It’s also great to eat at long oak tables, surrounded by books and cathedral furnishings and a huge ancient coat of arms on the wall. It’s cosy and warm, and I literally had to be dragged away.

Echt een studentenkroeg. Voorafgaand aan een diner verderop in de Kloksteeg hier even een drankje gedaan. De sfeer is prima, bediening vlot.Door de regen was buiten zitten geen optie.

Este es el café que está dentro de la Iglesia. Entras en la iglesia por aquí. Compra un boleto para ver la antigua iglesia aquí también. La comida era muy buena. Disfruté la tarta de peregrinos.

Leuk, klein café! Er zijn niet heel erg veel plekken en daardoor vond ik het wat gehorig. Keuze is ook beperkt, maar wel voldoende voor de vegetariër. Probeer de Pilgrims Pie als je er bent

Un amigo y yo disfrutamos de un almuerzo muy relajado aquí. Menú limitado pero opciones encantadoras. Servicio excepcionalmente amable y comprometido. Recomendado.

Leuke plek om even wat te drinken en zo de stichting te ondersteunen.

Mooie locatie en fraai en verzorgd ingericht. Koffie was niet echt lekker en het broodje was ook niet heel goed, en voor de kwaliteit nogal duur. Lunchen met een kleine groep vroeg te veel van de capaciteit. Vriendelijke bediening. Dus prima voor een kop thee, voor meer en/of koffie kan je beter even doorlopen.

Goede fairtrade koffie en biologische frisdranken. Mooie rustige plek om even bij te praten of om te studeren/werken. Ook een simple kaart aanwezig.

Mooie, nette plek vol historie. Vriendelijke bediening, gezellige kamer met mooie tafels en veel te zien. Pilaarbijter is een bijzonder biertje hier.

Historische locatie bekeken en daarna een drankje en hapje in dit café. Klein en knus, gezellig napraten na een bezoek aan de kerk.

A great place! Wonderful service and perfect atmosphere.

A beautiful Cafe located in the entrance to the nearly 900 year old Pieterskerk Church in Leiden. This is the oldest church in the town of Leiden. The coffee is excellent and the almond cookies are fresh and delicious. They have a selection of sandwiches and local beers also. As in all of the Netherlands there is no rush to finish your food and you aren't required to visit the church. I would highly recommend it for a rest and a snack.

Very nice place with a welkoming host who is ready to tell you a lot about Leiden and sometimes plays piano in the cafe. Had a great time here, five stars!
