Just had a coffee. It was fine, and the terrace was lovely.

Lovely outside on the terrace. Fantastic atmosphere and great service. Absolutely fantastic!

Food is good, but not that special. It's an easy place to meet

A very pleasant restaurant with international food, done right, but without any specific character. Overall I liked the place and would definitely recommend it for a safe restaurant in this area. 8/10 overall. Nothing really much to complain, but nothing exciting too.

Once again we had a wonderful meal at Dauphine. Mackerel ceviche as a starter and catfish as a main course. Special thanks for the exceptionally good service. My table companion only arrived halfway through my meal and the staff served both main courses at exactly that time, so that we could leave for Stopera on time. Class!

Ideal place to meet on the edge of Amsterdam. Excellent parking garage in the building.

Not so strong this time. Well-meaning staff, as always. But, if you put ceviche on the menu, you have to be able to prepare it. This mackerel was not sour enough, there was no (rest of the) leche de tigre visible and there was no coriander to be seen, but there was rocket... not for nothing we sent both plates back to the kitchen. There was no further reaction to that, except for the obligatory excuses from the staff. Then: if you offer (expensive) king crab, it is nice if the staff knows which utensils go with it and where they are! For a dinner of €200+ not so strong!

Always very satisfied with food and service at Dauphine. This time with a group of 18 and everything was impeccable once again. Kudos to the Dauphine team!

We have been coming here for years and it is always a nice place to eat. Atmospheric, especially after the re-styling, art deco elements make it feel classic. Staff always friendly without being pushy. The food is without exception of excellent quality and waiting times are not long, even if you are with a larger group. The last time we were there I mentioned that we were coming in honor of my husband's 75th birthday and we were pampered extra with a festive dessert as a highlight.

Had a nice meal with four outside on the terrace. City noise at the roundabout and the railway but not disturbing. Friendly and smooth service. Parking in the garage around the corner and with a discount if you have the ticket scanned at Dauphine.

This remains good on all fronts and hopefully it will stay that way. Casual atmosphere, nice extensive wine and menu card. Very friendly and interested staff, they are clearly busy gaining or passing on knowledge and talk about food and wine

June 2025 Remains an iconic place. And often during lunch time very busy, want to eat make a reservation to be sure. But when just have a coffee service is not always good and they forget about you. Could be because of was busy, had plenty of better experiences in the past.

Great place to sit and work with a coffee or tea. Food is very good too. I particularly like their ravioli and their chocolate truffles with cream. They have vegan options. It's a very classy establishment right next to Amstel station.

Nice big restaurant, very enjoyable service, but the food was quite average I'm afraid and expensive for what it was. The Chicken to share is basically just a whole roast Chicken, bland, unattractive looking and €55 for a chicken? really.....

Great food at a reasonable price. Recommend esp. if you’re staying at Ruby Emma and want a really good meal.

We have been here a few times now and are making this place our place to go for our weekend meet ups. We have tried different dishes here and so far they have all been tasty. Love the variety on the menu though am very much looking forward them adding the sweet potato fries on the menu. The service is good in particular the guy server who makes our visit even more pleasant.

Great performances Friday night

New interior makes Dauphine a nice (business) lunch spot. Service is firm and friendly. Smaller lunch menu is good with tasty food.

Had dinner with a large group of 30 people. Excellent for each other. Good and friendly service and excellent food.

We had made a reservation, which worked fine as always. The old familiar service was great again. The service that was unknown to me was clearly a bit less…

We regularly visit restaurant Dauphine. Very nice menu with French Brasserie influences. Quality tasty and good food with friendly and efficient service. Price/quality in order.

The servers were very friendly, it didn't take long before our dishes were served and the quality of the food is good.

Only had coffee and it was nice. Toilet clean and staff very fast and friendly.

Club Dauphine is super fun, once a month or so on Friday night with performances by good singers. The food on the other hand was really bad for 95 euros p.p.. we had a vegetarian menu and that tasteless, dry and actually just not tasty. I am a good eater and was quite hungry, but could not eat it. When our half-eaten portions were collected, we were clear to the waitress that it was not ok. She shrugged her shoulders, apparently happens more often. So go to club dauphine and pay 20 euros for the nice performances, but do not eat here…

Great location, beautiful restaurant and super nice and attentive service.. this time the food (asparagus salad) was not quite my taste but that is personal.. I will come back soon to enjoy it 🥂

Top location; easily accessible and good service!

Perfect place for an appointment if someone comes to Amsterdam by car. Spacious layout with always a spot. Big advantage is the parking garage, which is free if you have lunch there.

Great opportunity to eat with several people. 16 men actually ran smoothly.

This was the last restaurant we visited before leaving Amsterdam and was the perfect way to end our trip. The vibes were immaculate, the service was good and the food was simply delectable, compliments to the Chef(s). Our server Iwan was super sweet and friendly. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The kind of place where you are happy to pay the service charge and leave a tip.

We have waited a little bit longer for the food but it was totally worth it. The food was delicious and the waiters were very friendly and very polite so we had a great time. The atmosphere is really nice and kinda relaxing despite the big space and the crowd.

It wasn't like it used to be. Some dishes were fine, but others were lukewarm or poorly cooked. We had to remind them several times to bring our orders of water and bread. When we complained, we got the feeling that something was wrong with us.

Dauphine has the atmosphere of an international brasserie without being pretentious for a second. Whether you order a glass of expensive white wine or simply a fresh ginger tea, it will be served to you with the same warm cordiality. A delicious Caesar salad or simply two tasty croquettes on bread, it comes to you with love. Dauphine is a golden spot in a developing part of Amsterdam. The price-quality ratio is excellent, as is the consistently excellent service. Dauphine is also a treat for a normal Dutch lunch!!! By the way, we also like to eat here in the evening. Keep up the good work, keep up the good work dear people of Dauphine!!!

This is it if you want to eat delicious in a beautiful Art Deco/modern place. Great service.

Celebrated my birthday with 18 men/women and was able to eat a la carte with that number. From the reservation to driving away from the Dauphine garage, really very good. Service very personable/friendly and attentive. Compliments! I would also like to put non-alcoholic wine on the menu.

This is a lovely place (huge) quiet on a saturday afternoon. The Pinot Nero was available chilled which we really appreciated. Very friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere. The pasta 'Toscanini' was excellent although very sparse on the 'truffels'. The vinaigrette was tasteless, making a really good vinagrette is really a bit of an overlooked art. The desserts these days in most restaurants are really uninteresting and have been delegated to industrial style patissiers like Holtkamp and Kuyt and that's a pity. They could aspire a little higher there. Nevertheless a pleasant lunch.

Bij Dauphine gedineerd met familie. Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening, fijne ruime plaatsen aan de voorzijde en prima gegeten. De wijnkaart verdient extra vermelding vanwege de varieteit in soorten en herkomsten. Op de dinerkaart veel klassieke gerechten die prima verzorgd op tafel komen. Ook handig is de inpandige parkeergarage met korting voor klanten.

Lovely grand café, good food, beautiful location, easily accessible

Food was all tasty to delicious. It took too long. And despite cheerful, hard-working waitresses, things were sometimes chaotic; Forgot drinks several times, etc. We therefore got coffee on the house; resolved well and left satisfied after a nice evening.

Al vele jaren komt onze vriendengroep van 6 man met enige regelmaat hier eten. Deze keer liep het duidelijk niet goed in de keuken; wij kregen pas 2 uur na bestellen ons hoofdgerecht. Ik had currysoep als voorgerecht; dit was oké.. Veel later kwam mijn steak; deze was smakeloos en taai! De begeleidende frietjes waren slap en lauw. Alles teruggestuurd en na enige tijd een nieuwe steak met frites gekregen. Deze keer waren de frietjes knapperig en heet! De steak was nauwelijks beter.. Het was gewoon slechte kwaliteit vlees. Om mezelf te troosten maar een dame blanche besteld maar…: er was geen ijs!! Onbegrijpelijk voor zo’n groot restaurant. De aardige bediening verontschuldigde zich dat het allemaal zo lang duurde en dat mijn steak zo slecht was.. Als pleister op de wonde kregen we allemaal één slagroomtruffel! Ongelofelijk! We moesten wel even 75€ p.p. aftikken (+15€ parkeren). Gelet op de vele slechte recensies van de laatste tijd lijkt dit normaal gesproken fijne restaurant af te stevenen op grote problemen. Slechte prijs/kwaliteit verhouding dus even links laten liggen. MvB

Went here for a business meeting. Super friendly and genuine service. They offer a discount on the parking garage below the building when you leave. Highly recommend.

Last night there was clearly not enough staff available to serve everyone properly. Moreover, the ordered wine was not there and the second choice only came to the table when the main course was almost finished. So disappointing.

I come here regularly and the food at Dauhpine is always good. Service also, however, it is very clear that there are not enough staff. I had to get someone to ask if the order could be taken.

Saturday lunch to catch up with my son. Was a little early because of the train, couldn't get in because 12 o'clock is 12 o'clock and not a minute earlier, I had asked for no added salt, the salt pot was not spared for fries and meat. The coffee was excellent and so was the Bordeaux.

We came here for drinks and it was a cool place with a nice vibe.

The six of us had a great meal and drinks: tasty fish dishes and good Muscadet-sur-lie. Beforehand we wanted some oysters as a "snack", but that was misunderstood by the staff. After the starter was served, we ordered oysters. The oysters for next time!

Goed georganiseerd druk bedrijf . Hartelijke ontvangst,fijne tafel. Even wachten op mijn gasten,maar meteen aandacht en overleg wat er kon gaan komen. Bij het bereiken van het volledige gasten aantal ,was er al ruimschoots voor brood en water gezorgd . En een prima Pinot Grigio. Alle gasten genoten van hun tonijn tartaar of carpaccio. Met zeer gewaardeerde ruime pauze bestelden we de hoofdgerechten. Ook die werden met smaak en plezier genuttigd. De service was uitermate attent,beleefd en snel en bijzonder goed in de omgang met het enthousiasme ( lawaai?) van mijn gasten De magnum Portugese rode wijn bij onze hoofdgerechten was een groot succes. .

Good wine list, good food (soft shell crab superb, mushroom bourguignon even better). And above all, pleasant and nice service.

Great for eating with a large group. It's a shame that I just see carafes of tap water on the bill. You sit there with a table of 12 people and spend enough. Fish was tasty, but meat less so and the fries were lukewarm. We had a pleasant evening.

The best restaurant in Amsterdam. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful. I came back to the restaurant twice in a row in two days and special thanks to Kick who made the experience more beautiful every time.

staff fine steak and t-bone steak were tasty. Nothing wrong with fries. Unfortunately no vegetables, there used to be lettuce on the plate, but they don't do that anymore because it often came back. This can now be ordered separately. So we ordered extra lettuce. What a disappointment... I now understand why that lettuce is rarely eaten. Were a few leaves of lettuce with croutons and a tiny bit of onion. My husband later said "was there really onion in it"? It also contained pine nuts, which personally doesn't make me happy. That's thrown into almost everything these days. All in all, it's a shame that the main course is so colorless and where are the vegetables? Starter was great.

We had bar tickets for Club Dauphine. What a mockery... we thought you shouldn't actually sell this... we called in advance to see if there was anything to eat 'at the bar', which was confirmed... but there is no cozy bar at all... just bare pitches with 20 others... we found the 'master of ceremonies or leader of the evening' downright annoying... a whole story started about polyamory on Valentine's Eve... really very strange... after the first musical session we left the room and went to the restaurant for something to eat. The service there was super friendly and cooperative, the quality of the food and the atmosphere were just adequate. We were really looking forward to this evening, but unfortunately Club Dauphine did not make this happen.

Eggs Benedict was great and the mid-century vibe is amazing. I really enjoyed my meal here and I will be back.

Had a nice evening at Dauphine. The food was fine, but in addition to the main course you have to order almost all side dishes separately. This makes it a bit on the pricey side. Nice service.

Still a nice restaurant, pleasant service. I expected a bit more from my dish; the lemon chicken wrap, I thought it was a bit flat and bland, but the person I treated enjoyed her dish.

Young people (schoolchildren, students) in the service who are very nice, attentive and have good timing, compliments! The soft shell crab is still on the menu as a starter and was delicious as always. Rib eye was worth an eight, fine but not great. But the price is also reasonable (€ 25), so it is in proportion. Red house wine very tasty. Van Kuyt's apple pie was very cold, but it could be put in the oven for a while. In addition, there is a lot of apple core junk in the apple pie. That really needs to be improved. On the other hand, compliments for the kitchen because there are 100 people eating there. The atmosphere does it again, everyone just doing their own thing in a cozy atmosphere. It has been around for 19 years and I was there the first few days after the opening. I keep coming. Overall just delicious food in a very cozy atmosphere!

Nice venue, great food & service

Beautiful, quiet, stylish place. Business conversations but also a nice private place to have something to eat or drink. Many people go on their first date here. There is often live music on Friday evenings. We are thoroughly enjoying ourselves here
