If you’re into chaotic service and random food substitutions, welcome to Hell’s Kitchen. We were six people, got three forks. Why? Who knows. We waited 30 minutes to be partially served — no charcuterie platter before the tapas as expected, and surprise: it never showed up. Instead, a sad cheese board was dumped on the table after the meal. My own dish? Never arrived. And for the cherry on top: when we asked them to clean the dirty table, they only wiped off one pigeon dropping. Just one. Not joking. You’d get better service at a gas station

The waiter who served me outside first made a mistake with the cokes, he brought 2 of the same and we had asked for 1 zero and another common, which already made the owner lose a coke, since it was left uncovered. After waiting 1 hour for the food, and complaining to him, we realized that he forgot the order (incredible! You can never work on that brother). He told me that the food would be in 10 minutes, then 15, I got up and left. Which in a short time, made the owner lose money. I don't see a good future for the business, expensive rent, bad service, and the Google rating going down and down...

Pretty odd cafe. We sat on the terrace and the server was wearing a hoodie with the hood up, just staring at us as we drank. The beer was expensive and a bad pour - no foam at all! Quality wasn’t good and the vibes were very weird from our waiter.

Great little place for breakfast .. good service and friendly folks

I do not recommend, very expensive beer. Staff vacuums during service. In short, move on.

- comfy place for breakfast in the winter time. - food is fine and the price is reasonable. - staff is attentive and polite. - toilet is clean. We really enjoy our visit.

Ordered a caprese sandwich on sourdough bread. Unfortunately, this was no longer available, so we got the cheaper version. At checkout we still had to pay extra for the more expensive variant because we had 'extra toppings'. The only topping on it was simple cherry tomatoes and we never asked for extra toppings. In any case, the sandwiches were very tasteless and not very extensive for 9 euros. I would absolutely not recommend this!

Horrible experience, waited nearly an hour for our food and when it came it was cold. We told them we didn't want the rest of our food as we had waited so long, but they told me the soup was now ready, we didn't want it as we had somewhere to be. They took the soup off our bill but refused to take the cold food off as we had been served it, the man in the kitchen was so rude to us and made us pay for the cold food we didn't eat. In the end we got charged nearly 30 euros for 4 drinks and food we hadn't eaten. Wouldn't recommend if you don't want to waste time or money!

Great place for a nice Dutch style sandwich and dessert. Good vibes next to the water. My go to in Amsterdam

Even though we just wanted to have a glass of wine, we were still very welcome on their terrace. Super friendly staff. Many can still learn something from it!!

Sandwich very tasty, service very quick and efficient, nice place to seat outside and enjoy the weather and a plus for the beautiful green eyes of the waiter.

We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor covered area when it was raining outside - great people watching area, hence I've given it 4 stars for this reason. Food slow to arrive though despite us having only ordered a sandwich and a toastie. Thought the food was ok, a little overpriced for what it was though, nothing special really, but I guess we were paying city centre prices. The bill arrived and it was slightly more expensive vs what it stated on the menu so had to speak to the waiter about it to get it reduced back down which they obliged and admitted the mistake.

The staff here were really lovely and they have a great outdoor area, on a sunny day it is one of the best outdoor drinking spots in Amsterdam. We had Aperol spritz which was lovely, and honestly one of the best gin and tonics of our lives.

Completely catastrophal visit at this place. We had to wait a very long time until we were served and as the waiter brought our order, he threw a whole Aperol Spritz over me which destroyed my brand new white shoes and 2 of us were completely wet. Moreover we didn’t get our Coke Zero that we ordered. Would definitely not recommend.

Heb je zin in een lekker kopje koffie? Met appeltaart? Dan moet je hier naar toe als je in de buurt bent ! Lekkere koffie, de zelfgemaakte appeltaart en heel gezellig personeel maakte ónze ervaring in ieder geval tot een feestje.

Heerlijk plekje om het leven te aanschouwen. voorbij trekkende mensen van alle nationaliteiten,met wat lekkers te drinken of te eten,prijzen zijn redelijk,voor deze top omgeving

Repas pris en terrasse, dans un cadre agréable au dessus du canal. Nourriture simple, de qualité, personnel avenant. Belle adresse pour un repas rapide et efficace.

Leuke plek, zalige appeltaart en leuk personeel

Heel mooi uitzicht op de oude sluis met alle ellende van bootjes die elkaar in de weg zitten. Het is het bekijken waard. Verder leuke en vlotte bediening. De eigenaresse heeft de wind er onder.

Amazing chicken Sandwich and mini pancakes

Wij komen hier regelmatig wat drinken en eten. De eigenaresse en haar dochter? zijn zooooo aardig en herkennen je direct. Dat zegt wel wat tegenwoordig. Buiten de gezelligheid is het eten heerlijk ❤️kortom we zijn er zaterdag weer. Even mijn verjaardag inluiden

We hebben hier heerlijk met een drankje gezetten op het terras aan de sluis met uitzicht op de Singel. De bediening was vriendelijk.

Great appeltaart and poffertjes, affordable prices and a really nice staff. Angelica came to us and we had a really nice talk. Also great service. 😁

Een dagje Amsterdam is leuk en zeker als je “gewoon” rondloopt om zo bij cafeetjes, restaurants of andere onbekende pareltjes terecht komt. Brasserie stro is er één van! We hebben alleen even wat gedronken, wat lekker was en daarnaast was het personeel was erg vriendelijk.

First of all, I was pretty shocked by the price of the beer and we were also refused a second glass of tap water on a very hot day even though we were drinking a lot of beer at the same time. The beers themselves were only 2/3 filled and you had a good 5-6cm of foam on top, for this price I would call that stealing. Then, cherry on the top, the owner was very rude to us when we paid. Wouldn’t recommend at all. I gave 2 stars because the waiting was ok.

The waiters were nice, but the owner/manager appeared not at all customer friendly and very keen on earning a buck from us. Steep (touristy) prices. A pint of beer was stingily poured with loads of foam to squeeze every drop out of us. Want the tourist experience, go here. Otherwise, wouldn't recommend!

We bestelden soep van de dag: tomatensoep. Dit bleek gewoon tomatensoep uit blik te zijn, opgevrolijkt met wat mascorpone en peterselie... Zijn €6,5 zeker niet waard! Voor de rest best gezellig zitten op het terras, alleen een bizarre tafelindeling
