Café Restaurant De Riete in Wijk 03 Dwingeloo

Today we enjoyed a delicious lunch at this charming and welcoming spot in the heart of Dwingeloo. The service was excellent and friendly. Nice background music, but not too loud.

My colleagues and I had a wonderful evening here. The food and drinks were delicious, nothing was too much trouble, and the service was fantastic.

A lovely café with exceptionally delicious cakes. The service was also very friendly.

We had a delicious lunch at the somewhat quaint but cozy De Riete. The service was quick and friendly. Despite it being packed, we didn't have to wait long.

The deluxe tapas are delicious.

Restaurant with a large terrace in a beautiful, lively location. The lunch menu is fairly standard. The club sandwich was tasty but nothing special in terms of flavor or bread.

First of all, the food was good, nothing to complain about. We arrived around 7:00 PM; they're open until 9:00 PM. We initially sat outside, but it was a bit chilly, so we asked if we could sit inside. We were told all the tables were reserved, so we couldn't sit inside. We stayed there until 8:30 PM, and no one came in; all the tables remained empty. I think they didn't want anyone inside to keep the place clean. I made a comment, but it was ignored. I ended up putting a blanket over it. All in all, I don't think it's customer-friendly. After all, it's not cheap, so you should expect to be able to sit comfortably.

Worthless, one star is still too much. If you want to grab a bite to eat with 12 people, you're told, "I'm not interested. I'm busy enough." So we'll never go there again! We'll go to the neighbors instead, who welcome us with open arms despite the crowds.

We had a delicious meal and coffee. I would definitely recommend this place. Great service.

We enjoyed the extensive tapas menu on the terrace, accompanied by a delicious Korenwolf 0.0.

Was afgelopen zondagmiddag om 16.45 uur met mijn dochter aangeschoven bij een tafeltje buiten, waarop een reserveringsbordje tot 18.30 stond, voor een koffie/wijntje o.a. Dus tijd zat. Echter..komt de ober aangerend en pakt een bordje van een ander tafeltje met als reserveringstijd 17.30 uur en 'poot dat op ons tafeltje neer, zonder enige uitleg en 'vliegt weer naar binnen! We waren totally flabbergasted! Waarom?! Zo onfatsoenlijk heb ik het zelden meegemaakt! Vreselijk, we hadden er later zo'n naar gevoel over en kan niet nalaten om dat hier te delen!

Had lunch here yesterday. I ordered a baguette with salmon. The taste was good, but the ratio was not quite balanced: the cream cheese was dominant, which made the salmon disappear somewhat. A little less cream cheese or a little more salmon would have made this sandwich even better. My partner chose bread with two vegetable croquettes. This dish was also tasty and well seasoned, although the croquettes were on the small side. The service was friendly and quick – a plus! All in all a pleasant lunch experience with room for minor improvements.

We came for a drink with a small group of 5 people. There was smoking inside, including by the staff. Staff were also drinking and one of the boys was so drunk that he started swearing at us "because we weren't from the village". Luckily other people from the bar staff intervened but we left shortly afterwards. We were then chased to the car by 2 staff members who were clearly looking for a fight. 1 star...

Too bad the bar staff haven't found their own alcohol limit yet

Very tasty food, atmospheric and friendly service.

Very disappointing. We wanted to eat tappas with 2 of the 4, but even though the menu said 2 people or more, it turned out that it was not possible, because the entire table had to participate according to the menu. In short, if we sat separately, so two tables of two, then it was allowed, but if we sat together, it was not allowed. Very bizarre. The young lady made this clear in a rather rude manner. Nice if you have a birthday. The lady didn't really feel like serving us anyway, because she almost threw the food on the table. She was friendly at other tables. Was this because we are not white? That's how it felt. It's that it was raining heavily and we had a finally sleeping baby with us, otherwise we would have left. In addition, I had mentioned when booking that there was a birthday boy and they had promised that they would do something fun. But nothing came of that, nothing came. A very unpleasant experience. Fortunately, the older lady who helped at the end was nice.

Wij gingen met 4 personen dineren. Er was echter geen mogelijkheid om met 2 personen tapas te eten omdat dit alleen per tafel mogelijk was. Op de website stond dit echter niet vermeld. Dit restaurant was speciaal uitgekozen om tapas te gaan eten. Hierdoor werden wij ‘gedwongen’ om iets van de dinerkaart te kiezen.

Had lunch on a weekday Tuesday. It was busy on the terrace. I asked if we could take a seat anywhere, but got a strange answer. I didn't find the service very friendly. Food took a long time, it was busy. Food itself was good.

Fairly satisfied. There are ashtrays on the tables throughout the terrace, forcing non-smokers to sit inside. If you do sit outside, you run the risk of being exposed to other people's smoke. The staff doesn't seem to understand that non-smokers also want to sit outside. The terrace around the corner is ideal for this. When it is busy, it takes a long time before you are helped, but that is logical and not very annoying.

Never been made to feel more unwelcome. We were staying in the village for a week during the Euros 2024. Our hostess recommended this pub as a great sports watching venue so we decided to go along. We stopped by in the morning to confirm that all the games would be shown (England supporters) and whether we needed to reserve a table. Yes to the game and no to a reservation. We turned up 15 mins before the game started ordered drinks and sat to watch the game. We were asked to pay for our drinks at the time as all drinks would be on tokens for the rest of the evening although that process was never explained to us. At 1/2 time we asked for a menu and got a piece of paper listing 3 menu items only whilst tables around us were given the full menu as well as the game specials! The server never asked us if we wanted to order food or drinks… I’ve travelled pretty extensively through Europe and this tops the list of the least friendly place to eat - AVOID IT!!!!

We had dinner here with a group of 6 people and all opted for the deluxe tapas. It was all very poor. Price around €30 pp and most snacks came in very small portions. For example: a bowl with 5 small shrimps for 6 people. Some business has been said here, but nothing has been done about it. Afterwards I got fries somewhere else. The quality of the food was also reasonable. All in all, not recommended.

Ate twice, 1x dinner and 1x lunch. Schnitzel was a bit dry. The bread at lunch was disappointing.

Everything excellent: mustard soup chicken thigh with well-fried potatoes and fries. Delicious fresh vegetables. Neat and smooth operation.

Heerlijk gegeten in een super gezellig restaurant met heel vriendelijk personeel!! Als we weer eens in de buurt zijn komen we zeker weer !!

Applaus! Uitsmijter Rosbief kon niet gemaakt worden. Rosbief op. We zaten welgeteld 5 meter van de voordeur van de naast gelegen slager en 100 meter van de Albert Heijn. Gelukkig hadden ze wel water voor de honden in een keukenpannetje. Eet smakelijk. O ja prima gehaktbal gegeten!

Gezellig, goede bediening, lekker eten.

Verrukkelijk gegeten, heerlijke wijn, en uiterst vriendelijke bediening op het terras.

Heerlijke lemon cheesecake in een lommerrijk dorp in een prachtige omgeving. Auto was makkelijk te parkeren, maar het drukke verkeer maakt ook dat het terras wat druk is met al de drukte.

Mijn slaatje was verlept. Toen ik dit meldde aan zelfs twee verschillende serveersters werd er telkens schaapachtig gelachen maar niets aan verholpen.

We hadden gereserveerd en kregen een tafel buiten. Het was er erg warm, omdat de zon de hele dag had geschenen dachten we dat dat de reden was. Toen we het eten al bijna op hadden, kwamen we er achter dat bij onze tafel de afvoerslang van de airco uit een raampje hing. We aten Tapas. Deze waren minder dan de tapas die we gewend waren bij De Riete. Voor de rest blijft de ligging erg mooi. En was het er ook dit keer weer gezellig.

Prima plek en goede service. Maar als ik een luxe stokbroodje , wit, bestel met zalm en ik krijg een bruin bolletje met zalm vind ik dat wel jammer. En wordt het broodje ook wel duur van..

We zijn de herrie van de TT in Assen ontvlucht en kwamen bij De Riete terecht op een gezellig terras met vriendelijke bediening en heerlijk eten. Het eten ziet er met aandacht verzorgd uit, gevarieerd met patatjes en gebakken aardappelen plus salade en bloemkool. De groente wel nog bij besteld maar wij houden van veel groenten terwijl de tafel naast ons de bloemkool onaangeraakt terug ging. Ook het toetje was uit eigen keuken, bijzonder mooi en lekker!

Bij de riete is het eten erg goed ga daar eens eten als daar in buurt bent dwingelooga dan eens de cafe de rieten van johan van de laan

Leuke zaak met buitenterras. zVriendelijke ontvangst en bediening. Keurige toiletvoorzieningen. Uitstekende keuken. Heerlijk gegeten. Prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding zeer goed.

Heerlijke lunch genoten met vier volwassenen en vier kinderen 3-8 jaar oud. Alles was prima in orde en eten van goede kwaliteit-prijs verhouding.

Geen lactosevrij of melkvrij gebak of koek bij de koffie. Zelfs geen plakje kruidkoek o.i.d. Het lijkt me toch niet zo'n moeite om rekening te houden met iemand met een voedselintolerantie. De rest van het gezelschap nam appelgebak met slagroom en ze vonden de toevoeging van advocaat op de slagroom niet geslaagd!

De soepjes, broodjes en pannekoek waren goed te eten. Mooi opgemaakte bordjes. Groot terras buiten en ondanks de drukte een snelle bediening.

Bediening was vriendelijk en attent. Vooraf aangegeven dat we graag koolhydraatarm of glutenvrij brood hadden en dat was mogelijk. Eten smaakte wel prima. Eten: 3/5. Service: 5/5. Prijs: 5/5

Het duurde wel wat lang voor onze lunch gebracht werd maar het smaakte prima. Het personeel was vriendelijk. En er was gelukkig voldoende plaats op hun grote terras.

Relaxed, ruim, goede bediening én- deze en de vorige keer, ik weet niet of het altijd zo is - de mooiste goed in het gehoor liggende hits uit de jaren zestig zeventig, op goede, niet dominerende geluidssterkte.

Of je nu voor de lunch of diner komt of voor alleen voor een kopje koffie met iets erbij, het is altijd lekker, goed geprijsd en gebracht door super vriendelijk personeel. Een echte aanrader!!

Wij hebben alleen gebruik gemaakt van restaurant. We hebben eerst gevraagd of de hond binnen mag en dat was goed.

Prima restaurant en een zeer goede gezellige bediening

We hebben vanwege de regen binnen gegeten. Het restaurant is niet zo groot, maar heeft wel een groot terras. Het ziet er gezellig uit. Er is een kleine kaart en bij navraag is er ook een kindermenu. De verschillende gerechten waren heel lekker en als de bijgerechten te weinig waren kon je die bijbestellen. Twee van ons hadden de spareribs besteld en het is misschien een tip voor de restauranthouder om er vochtige doekjes bij te geven of een kommetje citroenwater, wat eigenlijk gebruikelijk is. Het personeel is vriendelijk en we hebben lekker gegeten. De Riete is zeker een aanrader.
