Last evening we dined at the Hof van Dwingeloo. When we arrived, the wood-burning stove was glowing brightly, and we were shown to our table. The first thing I noticed was that the napkin said, "Our home is your home" (or something similar). That's exactly how it felt; the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and everything was perfect. The food was also delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

We had a wonderful lunch with our management team. Delicious, comfortable food, a pleasant atmosphere, and courteous, friendly service.

Wonderful place. Casual, super friendly people. We don't go there nearly enough ;) but that's only because we don't live there, but we always want to stop by at least once during the fall break. I read that it's been run by new owners for a year now, and they're doing it with gusto👍🏻👍🏻. That's definitely their responsibility. It's nice to see the same friendly host, too. Okay, one small point for improvement. Try the sauces in the kitchen thoroughly. I had a red wine sauce that tasted so sweet it couldn't possibly be red wine sauce in my opinion. Then I got mushroom sauce, but it had 100% mustard in it. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic!

Friendly staff, play corner for children. If it's not too busy, children can make their own dessert, which is fun for everyone, not just the kids. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The mussels were very good. No sand in sight, so you've bought good stuff.

We had homemade spareribs, and they were delicious. Personally, I could have had them a bit more tender, but the flavor was very good. The side dish was sufficient and easy to order. A great place to dine out. It's a cozy restaurant, but what really stands out is the friendly and attentive service. The only downside, in my opinion, is that if you come with four people, you get a single platter with fries, potatoes, and salad, which is quickly depleted. They politely ask if you want more, but before it arrives, our plates are practically empty. Personally, I would order two of these platters for four people, and I'd actually give everyone a small bowl of salad, as they're quite small.

We had two delicious meals. The first time, we ended up here because the kitchens at the other restaurants were already closed. A blessing in disguise, because it was delicious. The second time, we were still able to sit down despite not having a reservation. The food was delicious again, and the wine was the perfect complement. What a fantastic restaurant! The best dinner we had while on vacation. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, but what really stood out for us was the hospitality. The service is impeccable: the staff asks at the right moments if everything is to our liking, is attentive to children (making your own ice cream is a real treat, but it demands a lot from a single staff member, who nevertheless enjoys it), and is attentive to empty glasses or any other requests. They don't skimp on an extra portion of potatoes or salad. You feel genuinely welcome and pampered here. As a lecturer at a hospitality program, I can honestly say: this is how it should be everywhere.

We had a wonderful meal tonight, and the staff were so friendly. Delicious food, tender meat. Bread with delicious spreads was the starter, especially the herb-infused butter. Side dishes were superb: apple compote, potatoes, salad, and fries. Pork tenderloin with brie and schnitzel. Dessert: dame blanche and tea. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I highly recommend going there. It's great how you present the menu on a newspaper. We made a reservation for the same day and received confirmation quickly.

A truly fantastic place to eat with a young family. Outside, there's a fenced-in play area where kids can swing, seesaw, climb, and slide. We sat outside, but there's also a fun play area inside for children. The service is super friendly, fast, and helpful. There are several options for vegans, which is fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

Great in terms of atmosphere and price/quality

Very nice people, very tasty food, my father had stew and I had pork tenderloin filled with brie. It was delicious. It is located in a very nice restaurant and is also in a very nice neighborhood.

Ik had geen zin in patat, en wilde wat afhalen, dus kwam ik bij Hof van Dwingeloo uit. Ik bestelde een halve kip, welke erg droog bleek te zijn. In verhouding tot de halve kippen die ik weleens op een markt haal (dus ook afhaal, en geen vaste keuken), viel dit echt tegen.

Had a delicious snack here. Good food and drinks for a fair price. If I'm in the area again I will definitely come here again. One comment, I'm a big eater and I thought this was way too much. I think if you did two sandwiches with two eggs, that would be more than enough. And you keep more money in your cash register. It's just a tip.

The food was okay, but below par for the price charged. Service and kitchen are smooth. It was quite quiet in our restaurant.... staff were complaining to each other (and a regular guest) that it was so quiet and that it was not profitable to run a restaurant. As a result, the atmosphere was not really great. When we are in Dwingeloo again, we prefer to go to the other side of the road.

We had dinner here last year and we had a delicious meal! Came back for dinner last weekend and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The starters were good and tasty, but the main course was very soft and we were not asked in advance whether the dish should be well cooked or medium fried. Our meat was still very raw and unedible. Paid almost 30 euros for this dish. The prices are very high for what you get.

Delicious food. Preferably make a reservation on Saturday evening because it was quite full. Dishes quite simple, but very tasty. Bread with 3 types of spread in advance. Pork tenderloin with brie was perfectly cooked and the stew, mixed grill and burger also looked very attractive. Fries, salad and warm vegetables were served. The vegetables in particular were delicious, because they were not overcooked and cooked in broth. Finished with a grand dessert, wow how delicious (sugar rush!)! We had a great evening.

The restaurant has deteriorated a lot since last year in my opinion. The farmer's schnitzel was a real treat there last year. On August 10, I ordered the farmer's schnitzel again. It was so different. A thin, greasy schnitzel with very little vegetables on it. They also ran out of tasty side products. You always got 2 bowls with warm vegetables and apple compote. Now only a very small bowl of sauerkraut raw vegetables. The three of us. So one tablespoon each. The fries were good, but I can also go to a cafeteria for that. When paying, there were also five drinks on the receipt that we had not consumed. Too bad, no success.

Our favorite place for patat and ijs. We love to sit outside on the patio.

We stopped here to recharge during a bike ride. Friendly and fast service. Besides something to drink, we also ordered something to eat. This was ready quickly, and consisted of: The youngest wanted a monchou cake. This is served in nice pots. Usually I get to taste a bite, but unfortunately not this time: it was gone before I knew it. According to the tasters it was delicious. Even tastier than mom's, which was sad for mom. The eldest wanted the cake of the moment, which was a brownie with nuts. A generous portion was served, and it too was gone in no time. Once again, this tasted excellent according to the connoisseur. Mother had an apple pie. Not your standard apple pie, but it was very tasty. Even the whipped cream looked nice. I had the 12 o'clock myself. The mushroom soup was delicious, I happily recommend it. The egg salad was what you would expect from an egg salad. The veal croquette is also recommended: wonderfully crispy with a soft ragout.

We maakten kennis met dit restaurant in zomer 2021 en ook in zomer 2024 blijkt dit voor ons een prima keuze om ‘s avonds te gaan eten. Het stoofpotje rundvlees van toen is nu nog precies even lekker: een royaal potje mals gestoofd rundvlees met verse seizoensgroenten en lekkere frites met een schaaltje verse rauwkost erbij. Het Texelse bier, ook de 0.0, was een aangename verrassing. De broodjes met dips vooraf waren trouwens ook heerlijk. We zaten gezellig buiten op het terras en kregen alles aangereikt door vrolijke, aandachtige jongedames van de bediening. We nemen ons voor om volgende keer geen drie jaar weg te blijven, maar een regelmatige kwaliteitscontrole te blijven doen op het beroemde stoofpotje! 😉

We only ordered a main course. My husband mixed grilled diamond tenderloin steaks with pepper sauce. The meat was tender but the pepper sauce was wow, a bit spicy. There were really a lot of peppercorns in it. So I think they can keep the sauce, but the rest was fine
