Great before or after a walk. Nice menu. Friendly staff. The atmosphere could be better; it's very basic now. The view is nice, though.

I really loved the cinnamon chai latte. We were out of cinnamon syrup, but our new hostess, Roos, gave it a special twist just for me, so I still had a cinnamon-flavored chai latte. So sweet! I also thought the foam was perfectly frothed, beautifully done!

A fun spot by the heath for the little ones and the older ones. Zipline and even a climbing wall.

A super fun and beautiful location on the Bussum heath. Lovely walking area, also suitable for dogs. Good coffee, and we had a full plate of scrambled eggs with delicious brown bread. Value for money. Highly recommended.

We had an extremely disappointing experience today. At the entrance, we asked the staff whether we should wait to be seated or find a table ourselves. The waiter told us we could just sit at any available table and wait to order. Soon we found a suitable table, which had no sign of being reserved. About an hour after we sat down, a waitress came over and told us the table was reserved, but she kindly offered to check if there were other free tables, and we agreed. Around 2:40 PM, however, another staff member arrived in a very angry manner and told us they needed the table at 3:00 PM. She flatly refused to help us look for another table. We explained that no one had informed us of this when we sat down, and at that point our food hadn’t even been served yet!! We said we were willing to try and find another table ourselves, but she angrily repeated that they needed the table at 3:00. Her rudeness was beyond anything we had ever experienced. She even claimed she was the shift manager — unbelievable that someone in such a position could behave so unprofessionally and disrespectfully.

Heidezicht is a unique location in Bussum, overlooking the Hilversum heathland. A brasserie, a restaurant, and a café with two faces: at the front, for the more mature hikers or rendezvous guests, and on the other side, the children's and toddlers' playground with a family atmosphere. In short, a cozy place that serves excellent food. My favorite: see the photos! Restaurant Heidezicht is situated in a unique location in Bussum (city of Gooise Meren), overlooking the pristine heather scenery in the heart of what is known in Dutch as "Het Gooi." Meet and greet, and bring your kids and pets!

I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A DIRTY TOILET!!! The food isn't anything special, often cold, incredibly overpriced, and it takes hours to get it. Considering how busy it is, they could use some more play equipment, and if it's very dry, you'll be drowning in blowing sand.

It's a shame that this beautiful location with a stunning view is doing so poorly in the hospitality industry. I've rarely seen such incompetence and chaos. Friendly staff with no direction whatsoever. They just wing it. Not to mention the mess and filth in the restrooms.

The staff is a bit slow. But once they see you, it moves quickly. Ordering with the QR code on the table is the fastest.

Beautifully situated on the heathland. The kitchen wait time was 45 minutes when we were there on Sunday afternoon. Apple pie was available. It's a shame the staff didn't mention the wait time when we told them we wanted to order more than just drinks.

The order went well this time 😉 The apple pie had just been in the oven a bit too long. The taste was still okay.

Nice place to drink a beer while your kids play at the big playground. The fries were pitiful though, they were xtra brown and tasted old or refried. We are then because we were hungry. Hopefully they have a better cook or an adult making them in the future. How can you fail at fries?!

Very good atmosphere, good service. Some things just took much longer than others. Otherwise it was good.

We sat down after cycling for a bit, and within five seconds the lady asked what we wanted to drink. We first had to look at the menu. After that, it was quiet. Fifteen minutes later, she came to take our order. One beer and a soft drink. It's ridiculous that this took 20 minutes, especially since it wasn't busy. People sitting next to us were helped quickly and received their orders right after us. I can't imagine how long the wait would be when it's busy. A couple behind us also complained about the long wait. A point worth addressing. It's a nice place to sit with a beautiful view.

Paid over 60 euros for terrible food: a hamburger and fries, a half-cooked meatball on a hard bun, pancakes with an aftertaste, and salad without dressing. Drinks were served in dirty cups. The restrooms were filthy, smelly, and disgusting. The playground was very outdated, and the service was curt. We won't be back.

We had a great time at Heidezicht. The terrace has sufficient space to sit in the shade with a good view of the playground (or heide on the other side). The staff was helpful and would check-in regularly. This place is great for young kids (because of the playground and other kid friendly facilities) and for people who want to go for a walk on the heide.

Reservation made for 20 people, you have to sit at separate tables. And no, the tables are not allowed. Pushing them together was out of the question. For me, once but never again.

Great place for a drink and a bite to eat. Ordering at the bar is not possible, only via the QR code. I understand that this is very efficient but less personal.

During a nice walk over the heath from Hilversum to Bussum we came across this restaurant. A cozy place with a nice terrace, both in the sun and in the shade. On the other side of the restaurant is a spacious playground, ideal for families with children. You can consciously choose to sit near the play area or not, which is very pleasant. We drank coffee and had lunch there, and everything was fine. A nice stop during our walk!

The coffee is more expensive and the cups have shrunk considerably. The cappuccino, which is considerably more expensive than regular coffee, is now also served in a mini cup. 2 sips of coffee for 3.70 will make you feel ashamed!

Got a cold cappuccino. We were reimbursed for this with a warm one. I found the pieces of cake very small compared to the apple pie slice. It was also nice to sit in the sun on the terrace

Pros + Lovely venue for kids to play outside + Tasty food + Good portion sizes Cons - unfortunately, servers don't watch the tables to take your order, check on the experience, bring your bill nor clean up the dishes unless you flag them over. Note, this is the third or fourth time I've been here so this is not a one time experience. - bathroom needs to be cleaned at more regular intervals. Would come back more for the playground than the food experience.

Very nice place to spend a day with kids. Sometimes it is extremely busy, and it takes ages to receive the order.

Been here on a Saturday afternoon with my wife and dog (Bo). What struck me was the following: - The business looks good, is nicely decorated and has sufficient staff - Staff just have little feeling for the catering industry. They mainly chat with each other instead of having a good overview of what is happening in the business, who is coming in, who wants to pay, which tables need to be cleared, how the terrace looks outside, .....etc...etc... Typically a tent where you have to do your very best to be seen. I had a pork sandwich which was tasty. My wife had a goat cheese sandwich from the oven. This was very basic with only 1 nut, poorly melted, no honey (which is a golden combination) and not something like cress to finish it off. All in all a nice place, with poor staff without anyone who really arranges everything and manages the staff well. I'll give them another chance later in the year.

Nice place on the edge of the Bussemer heath. Running children, playing dogs, everything is welcome here. The lunch platter is fresh and tastes delicious. You can walk various routes on the heath from the restaurant. Parking is free.

Just a nice place to visit after your walk on the beautiful moor. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Service outside was sufficient for us, blankets were provided (in case of cold) and the latte Machiatto is really warm. Parking is good in the area.

Handy location for a cup of coffee or something else before or after a walk on the moor. There is plenty of room for children to play and you can also go there with a group. No matter how nicely designed the building is and how beautiful the location. I find it remarkably lacking in atmosphere. But that could also be due to the flow of similar audiences. Families with young children and grandparents. Groups of fathers look like Maxi Cosi's (who drink coffee awkwardly with each other). Interspersed with groups of cyclists and some people who hoped to still work with a laptop. Could be just me, I've been there three times during the day and the discomfort was great each time. The discomfort is also evident from the sign outside the heath. "commercial activities with groups" are not permitted. Apparently the neighborhood it borders on didn't think too much entertainment was okay.

Very bad restaurant. Post videos on social media that cause people to post hate comments for people with a condition such as Celiac disease. These people have no choice but to eat gluten-free because they have an autoimmune disease. They don't choose that. There is already little understanding, and this makes understanding even less. I have a son with Celiac disease and that is quite difficult. We don't want this negativity.

All good! Sometimes when it is busy, the service is not that great, and unfortunately you cannot go in yourself to get coffee and pay.

Nice place for a short visit, lunch or a drink. There is a wide choice of drinks and snacks and the outdoor playground makes it extra fun for children. It's useful that food or drinks can easily be ordered and paid online. One point for improvement: it would be nice if the tables outside were cleared more quickly and cleaned better.

The location is nice, you can indeed look out over the heath if you manage to get a spot on the right side. The service was friendly. The order went smoothly but the food took 25 minutes to arrive. That's a long time for a hamburger and a salad. The quality of the hamburger was normally good, the fries were tasteless. The salad was fine. All in all, the price/quality was not in order, because the price is at the top end. Maybe this CR has too much success because of its location.

Perfect location for a hike or run with coffee or lunch thereafter. Good view, nice people. Can be very busy with children and dogs, so if you want to work or read quietly you have to be lucky to find a day and time without too many kids and talking ladies with or without dogs. A good vegan sandwich option with beetroot and grilled veggies. Coffee is good here, service was nice last time, but it changes with the day.

Great location. The terrace on one side faces a playground where you should expect your kids to get wet and dirty and have a great time. The terrace on the other side faces the beautiful prairie. The food is good, and the service is surprisingly fast and efficient, given the amount of customers they can have on a good weather weekend.

Nice central walking, cycling and dog walking spot. Small petting zoo and popular children's playground. From here you can cycle all the way through nature, partly thanks to the beautiful nature bridges. With plenty of cozy catering establishments (la Place Laren, Het Bluk.)

toilets were messy, there was paper everywhere and were not clean. I always think like this, when you as a staff go to the toilet, you just pick up that paper, then it looks very different!! Toilet is your calling card 😉

Nice place to sit with a view. I ordered a salad with cod, fennel and orange dressing and wanted it without olives, cucumber and tomato. At least a third of the salad turned out to be cucumber and tomato. I was unable to discover cod. It had some kind of string fish salad on it. That really shouldn't be called cod. The fennel was not cooked and therefore not chewable. Orange dressing was also not present. When I complained I received an apology. When I asked what benefit I had from this as a customer, the answer was that they do nothing else with it. You had to pay €16.90 for that plate of desperation. Nice for a drink or a snack, but I wouldn't eat it.

And... then you try again a while later. After receiving the message a few months ago that the kitchen was unfortunately already closed (we were there on a Saturday at 6:20 PM), we were now there on Sunday at 6:00 PM. Lovely summer day, terrace was still quite full, so I wanted to try it again. And guess what,. After being offered a bowl of vegetable croquettes, which was for another table, we received the message less than a minute later, sorry, but the kitchen is already closed. Then put on the website visit that you can NOT eat there AFTER 6 p.m., only something to drink! Saves a lot of hassle. The food may be tasty, but if you can't order it, it's of little use. Too bad for such a top location on summer days :-(

The restaurant is great, the employees are fantastic! But the play area is poorly maintained and has created dangerous situations. The sand is dirty black!! Too bad because it is a great location.

Great place to stay at café Heidezicht! The operation is somewhat passive. But otherwise everything is fine. The location on the heath naturally helps a lot on a sunny day.
