Best Indonesian restaurant, really fantastic food ⭐️⭐️⭐️👌

The food is fantastic! Portions are on the small side, but it's plenty for us small to average eaters. The staff and owner are great. The atmosphere is wonderful.

The food was delicious, we had a rice table. Instead of Dolly Parton, perhaps Indonesian music would have created a better atmosphere. I don't know if your regular waitress was or is on vacation, but what you have now doesn't fit. She has no experience in the restaurant at all, which led to arguments, and that's not helpful, especially if the customers hear about it.

We had a wonderful meal, the Sarong Menu for two. Just enough for the two of us, everything was neatly finished, and we were satisfied. So completely satisfied. I found the price of €39 per person reasonable for the food. Bintang beer and Riesling were also delicious.

The prices are absurd for what you get and are completely out of proportion. A rijsttafel is 54.50 per person, where you get a tablespoon of food per dish with 2 small bowls of rice for 4 people. The side dishes cannot even be divided among the number of people. (You also get satay and soto as a starter, both small portions) For a small bowl of bami they then dare to charge 8 euros. You then find pieces of lemongrass or other herbs in your food. The service is bad, the waiter accidentally spilled food over a table guest but with great difficulty an apology could be made. In addition, you cannot deviate from the menu. We were asked to exchange a sauce for the dessert, but this was not possible. The cheapest dessert, a piece of spekkoek, already costs 12.50. All in all absolutely not recommended and a waste of money.

What chef adds chopped lemongrass to their dishes? If you like it, eat here! We were also furious about a plastic bag of prawn crackers, smaller than a mini packet of chips, for €3.50, and four mini pieces of spekkoek for €9.50. Show us! We wouldn't order again, and now, with the same effect, we'll never order again.

We had the rice table for three people. The rice table consists of many dishes, all with fried onions and red pepper. Everything tastes almost the same. The three vegetarian dishes were inedible. What was most disappointing was that we (when asked) expressed our dissatisfaction about the food, but there was no response at all. It was our first time as new residents of Muiden in this restaurant and also the last time.

Small, cozy restaurant on the edge of Muiden's old town. Delicious food. A bit pricey. Drinks (wine), etc., are also quite expensive. Friendly service. A pleasant experience (found it by chance).

My husband and I had dinner here on Valentine's Day. The food was delicious and tasted authentically Indonesian. The portions are big enough, and neither of us are small eaters. The price-quality ratio is also excellent. The service was helpful, very friendly and service oriented. In short, if you are in Muiden or near Muiden and you want delicious authentic Indonesian food, go here!

A dingy restaurant where the service still has a lot to learn. Quite expensive compared to the ambiance and quantity. The food is reasonable.

Delicious rice table, but the portions are really too small. About 1.5 teaspoons per person per container. There was more rice, but we also ordered extra spring rolls and we had also added a main course. It was also very chilly where we sat. Nevertheless, a nice place, good atmosphere, very nice service and delicious food. We will definitely come back for another dish

Gezellig knus kleinschalig Indonesisch restaurant. Altijd een hartelijk welkom. Wij gaan eigenlijk altijd voor de rijsttafel en deze is zeer uitgebreid en goed van smaak. Gaan ook regelmatig naar Ron Blaauw in Laren maar deze heeft toch onze voorkeur. Zeker een aanrader.

Whenever we visit or sail to Muiden this is the only place we dine. Bold but fresh flavors that elevate beyond the normal rijsttafel. Enhanced by a cozy garden terrace and attentive, friendly staff. Colourful, candle lit indoor seating. The chef/owners come to check on you too. We are huge fans of Indonesian cooking and this place is one of the best!

Since the rice platters were too expensive for us at over €30 pp, we opted for one of the main courses each at a price of €25. 25€ is still okay for a delicious main course with a side dish and salad or vegetables, but we were only served meat or fish in sauce and a cereal bowl with rice for three people. The rice we ordered cost us €4.50. The food was very tasty but not worth the price. If you can't tolerate spicy food, this is the wrong place for you. The toilets were clean and the waiters were very nice. What I found strange is that we were only given the menu cards after we asked for them. We were charged €6 for a bottle of water that we never ordered and never received, which unfortunately we only noticed afterwards.

The food was very delicious and waiters were kind, so my family had a good time there. We want to go there again! :) The location is very good as well.

Ate chicken tonight and now on the toilet after 3 hours. Chicken is not cooked despite advice. Food is also on the rise. Nauseous. Too dangerous in summer weather.

Als zeilers doen we altijd graag Muiden aan , alleen maar om hier te kunnen eten. Nog steeds de beste voor Indonesisch eten. Supersterke smaak. Heeerlijk weer. Dus gewoon gaan. En ja die geitensaté blijft een bijzonder lekkere starter.

De ontvangst is al een feestje. Het eten is voortreffelijk. De smaken zijn echt Indisch. De saté Kambing super. Kortom van begin tot eind is super. Aanrader.

Considering the reviews, very poor rating. There's no arguing about taste, but if you're not consistent about delivering what's on the menu, you're missing the point. The poor handling of complaints also does not attract customers.

Food is greasy and too sweet, and it is very pricey. There are much better options for Indonesian food nearby! Quite an attractive spot.

After a visit to Pampus, we had dinner here with 6 people. All choices made were delicious. There was a spot for us in the garden. The service was good and the price reasonable. A pleasant surprise in picturesque Muiden

We had a super tasty meal, the rice table for 37.50 pp was very good with many different flavors. Our dogs were also very welcome. They were immediately given a bowl of water, which was very welcome on this hot day. Recommended!!!😀

You are warmly welcomed to the website. But this doesn't apply when you're alone; persons alone cannot eat in this restaurant. Very disappointing.

Nice cozy restaurant. I liked my dish, but unfortunately the rest was not as popular. The employees were friendly.

After we had eaten here a few times, to our complete satisfaction, we wanted to pick up a rice table for 4 people to eat at home. Unfortunately this went completely wrong. Instead of 4, we got a rice table for 2 people (it turns out we also paid for this). As a result, our Christmas Eve dinner unfortunately fell through. When I called the Poort van Muiden to calmly discuss what had happened, I was treated very rudely and aggressively. Shame

That was amazing!! So tasty, so cozy, so perfect! Highly recommended for a dinner for 2 or the whole family or just with friends, the rice table was fantastic, so many different plates, all with their own flavor explosions, you can't go wrong!

The dishes are tasty, but I miss the authentic taste. Tasty but quite flat. Could be a bit more pronounced.

Delicious food. Long wait before our rice table was served. Asked for prawn crackers, but was forgotten. Things like seroendeng etc were forgotten. We were not asked once if everything was satisfactory.

I liked it here. Nice decoration. Feels Indonesian. Helpful staff. Small garden as well. City center from Muiden. So no train station around. Best is by car, bike or bus.

Voor moeilijke eters hebben we best genoten van het eten. Was lekker rustig, gaat om 17:00u open waren de eerste en daarna kwamen er nog 2 koppels.

Wat een fijne plek. Goede sfeer, super vriendelijke medewerker en eigenaar (kok?:), heerlijke rijsttafel. Oooh al die verschillende dingen!

Goede reistafel gegeten en gezellige restaurants en vriendelijke bediening.

Weinig interesse voor de gasten. 3 tafels bezet, moesten lang wachten op drankjes. Kwamen niet tussentijds even vragen of we nog iets wilden. Saté kambing is NIET van geit! Maar lam… is de designated dish van dit restaurant? Jammer…..

Paar dagen geleden hier gegeten met vrienden, en in 1 woord: TOP!! Echt een Indonesisch restaurant dat er met kop en schouders bovenuit steekt en niet de gaarkeuken-achtige opgewarmde rijsttafel gerechtjes serveert die je elders soms helaas voorgeschoteld krijgt. Nee, Rachid en zijn bediening hebben ons een heerlijke avond bezorgd met een rijsttafel voor 2 personen, aangevuld met enkele 'specials'. Meer dan genoeg voor 4 personen. Vooraf deelden we een verrukkelijke saté kambing, super mals en sappig. Het tempo was relaxed en de bediening erg attent. We bevelen De Poort van Muiden van harte aan (doen!) en -ondanks dat we niet heel dichtbij wonen- gaan we hier vaker eten! Thxs Rachid!

Echt een aanrader , als je echt indisch wilt eten hier naar toe gaan , is niet het indisch wat je bij de Chinees eet . Top kwaliteit!!

Wir hatten die Reisplatten non-veg und veg jeweils für zwei Personen. Und einfach jede der insgesamt 15 verschiedenen Speisen war super lecker!

Very delicious rijsstafel, Indonesian and some fusion options. The soto ayam (chicken soup) was a bit weird and our sevrer tried making it again and it was slightly better. He was very attentive so therefor I still give this restaurant 5-star rating.

De rijsttafel was heerlijk, we hebben zoveel gegeten echt top. We gaan zeker nog een keer een rijsttafel eten.

De Saté Gambing was werkelijk subliem en de Ajam Opor gewoon goed, hoewel ik die zelf wat uiiger maak. Het was een plezierige hernieuwde kennismaking, minpuntje is dat die onsmakelijke vloerdelen nog steeds in gebruik zijn.

eten was prima, maar er zat gewoon een stuk plastic in! Complete chaos in de keuken en ook aan de telefoon bij het bestellen, kwam niet professioneel en gastvrij over. Prijzen veel te extreem voor wat je krijgt. Wij hebben afgehaald vanwege de corona maatregelen. Zullen hier niet meer terug komen.
