We went to dinner at the restaurant, we ordered wine and food, the wine didn't arrive and we had to ask for it. When we asked for the bill it was 62 euros. When paying, the price cap was there and she said "Do you want me to bring you the change?" In my opinion, this is not something that should be asked for. We replied "yes, we want the change." While the waitress was leaving, we heard for "f**k!" We waited about 15 minutes for the change to arrive, which never arrived. So I decided to go and ask for it because I want to be the one to decide how much to leave and whether to leave it at all. When I asked for it, we had to wait about another 10 minutes, watching as the waitress from the kitchen went into a basement from where she then gave us the change.

Had a lovely lunch on the terrace by the Amstel. We had a Caesar salad with delicious, still-warm chicken. A satay, which was clearly homemade marinated, was delicious. And loaded fries. It was really enough for the two of us. Friendly service, and an extra carafe of water because it was so hot!

the table we had was right on the canal and it was absolutely fantastic vibes. the food was good but not amazing, but the views of the canal made up for it.

Their Heineken draft beer was very good. Entrecote (pictured) steak was small but good. I wished the spicy butter on top of the steak could be more spicy. Hamburger slider was also small but good enough. Side fries were also small. People were nice. It's outdoor seating was very pleasant right next to water.

The four of us enjoyed a delicious lunch on the terrace of Café Heisa with a view of the Amstel. Silke served us in a super friendly manner, truly very hospitable 🎉🥂. Highly recommended!

After the open day at the Hotel School Amsterdam, we ended up in Oudekerk aan de Amstel and decided to have something to eat here. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table in an atmospheric room. The concept of shared dining was explained to us, and then we ordered and ate several dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes, prepared with great care! Truly a gem just outside Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

The food was super delicious, especially the flat iron steak. The staff were also super nice and hospitable.

I think seven euros for just a tiny bit of rosé is over the top.

What a lovely restaurant! It truly stands out in terms of taste and experience! From the front, you can't tell how big it actually is. The building is split in two: at the front, a space reserved for a private meeting, but at the back, a very large room that was packed. The food is absolutely delicious: a menu with shared dining options, but you can also order for yourself. The service is quick and attentive. With parking for three euros an hour, it's a great alternative near Amsterdam.

Nora is the very best hostess in the Netherlands, and you should be able to give her 10 stars here. What is also nice is that, in a rather quirky village like Ouderkerk, she gives you a kind of feeling that everything will be fine. We also had a delicious meal, laughed a lot, and waved to other tables... just a shame the raspberry ice cream ran out. Hela Heisa Hop, everything was top-notch.

Our visit to Restaurant Heisa was unfortunately a huge disappointment. The food was delicious, nothing to complain about, but the portions were absurdly small – especially for the price. According to the "shared dining" concept, we were supposed to share the small portions, but they were so small that you could barely taste anything from each dish. However, for what were essentially just a few bites per person, you pay a hefty price. What made it even more disappointing was that we brought this up during our visit. We politely pointed out that the portions weren't in proportion to the price, but the staff reacted indifferently. For this price, you'll find much better options elsewhere where you'll both eat well and get a fair price.

We ate here yesterday with five people. The food, every dish, was truly outstanding. It doesn't matter what you order, because everything is incredibly delicious. The service was friendly, fast, and they're very knowledgeable if you have any questions about a dish. In short, everything was fantastic! 😊 We'd love to come back again.

Confusing “Sharing” concept! The portion sizes are small and absolutely not big enough to share so you have to order 2 of everything. How can you share a slider??? How can you share a tiny pastel de nata? That is misleading. The service was nice, but there was only one waitress and she was too busy, forgot my drink, brought the wrong tea etc… We ended up paying €45 per person for a slider, half a portion of sate and a tiny desert. No alcohol at all. Not worth the money.

I enjoyed the food so much that I went back a month later with someone else. Unfortunately, my favorite dishes had been removed from the menu. Luckily, there were plenty of other delicious options! The restaurant is trendy and tastefully decorated, and the service is friendly.

Recently we went back to our favorite spot on the Amstel River for dinner. What happened? The price-quality ratio is completely lacking. We'd noticed it before, but now we know for sure. The scallops are incredibly small, not the size they used to be. The manchego with truffle honey had so little truffle honey on it that it was barely noticeable. And with the tagliata di manzo dish, you could only taste the arugula (which took up 90% of the dish) and not the meat. It's not what it used to be, which is a real shame. We won't be back anytime soon. We hope you take note of this and return to your old level of quality soon.

Sad, that's the first word that comes to mind when I see the uitsmijter (bread sandwich) on my plate. 3 small eggs on 2 dry slices of brown casino bread. No raw vegetables, no butter, completely bare. And I thought, what can you do wrong with an uitsmijter?... A suggestion might be: add some raw vegetables, a cup of butter, and a nice slice of artisan bread would improve the dish considerably. Then make sure the bottom doesn't get too crispy (=chewy), and you have a lunch dish you can really impress. Because this was... a bit sad. The spot by the water is fantastic, of course, nice in the sun. And the restaurant itself looks really well-maintained. The other luncheonettes, by the way, looked great on a brown or white skobroodje (bread roll).

Nice café with friendly service

I made a reservation a week in advance and clearly indicated my severe peanut allergy. Upon arrival, I spoke to four staff members and was ultimately sent away because it was deemed "too risky." Apparently, frying prawns in a clean pan is too much to ask. Tip: If you see this in the reservation description, contact the customer beforehand to discuss whether they can eat there. This will save them a lot of travel and disappointment.

This is a wonderful restaurant. They mainly serve seafood, and offer a wide variety of dishes, including tuna carpaccio and seafood platters. No matter what you order, you'll be guaranteed a fantastic meal.

Super tasty and cozy restaurant with nice service

This is truly a place that deserves 5 stars for its excellent food. I had a delicious steak tartare and a superb chicken dish. What's so disappointing is that the service was absolutely terrible. Zero attention, long waits, and, to top it all off, one very grumpy woman who practically slammed the plates down and clearly showed she didn't care for the work she was doing. Such a shame, because that's exactly what you do or don't recommend a place for. I just don't understand how, as an owner, you don't realize this. So, I had a good meal, but a bit irritated.

Zibas fillet (mashed potatoes with fish) + salad with bacon mix + blondie for dessert and cappuccino. Everything is very tasty. Atmospheric!

It's a shame we had a great time on the terrace last year, but this time it was a real disappointment. The waitress's grumpy face, the main course, which was disappointing in quantity and not very tasty. You couldn't have done anything about the many wasps and the less than ideal seating on the terrace, but it put a dampener on my birthday. I won't be coming back.

Everything was perfect! The food was sophisticated and delicious. The seating is also very comfortable by the water, overlooking the beautiful houses in a well-kept, pretty town. Friendly, fast service, and prices are completely reasonable. I would definitely come back here again.

The service was terrible! She was extremely arrogant and threw the cutlery on the table. I had a goat cheese salad. The bacon was so hard it would have broken my teeth. The salad also had almost no flavor. The surroundings are nice, though, so I have something positive to report.

Appalling service and very unwelcoming place especially when you have an allergy or intolerance. We acknowledged the risk of cross contamination but the arrogant waitress had no patience to listen to us and all we asked for was whether she could ask the chef to use a clean board and knive to cut the gravad lax. She responded very rudely, told us to imagine that 'if all guests asked for that', and then sent us away to the neighbouring restaurant. Making people with an allergy particularly vulnerable by treating them in such unfairly ways is disgusting. It's not a dietary choice, It was a simple request for meeting some basic level of customer service for people who find it already difficult to eat out and enjoy . Never again.

We had a deeply disappointing experience at this restaurant that left us questioning whether we were treated differently based on race. We arrived at 5:30 PM and were told there would be a 45-minute wait for a table. We agreed and let them know we would wait at the ice cream shop directly opposite the restaurant. However, we noticed that several groups of similar size (groups of four) who arrived after us were seated ahead of us. When someone from our group went back to check, the staff member repeated that our table would be ready in 45 minutes. At 6:15 PM, we returned, only to be told once again that we needed to wait 15 more minutes. I then checked the reservation list and noticed that the staff had written an incorrect time (5:45 instead of 5:30) next to our name—something not done for the other groups. At least five groups who arrived after us had no times noted, yet they were seated ahead of us. Even though there was an empty table inside, the staff insisted we continue waiting. The whole interaction felt dismissive and unfair. This was the first time we experienced something like this in the Netherlands, and it was extremely upsetting. Whether it was racism or simply how this restaurant operates, the treatment we received was unacceptable and left a very bitter impression.
