Delicious food and great service

The place is nice, next to a canal but the service was bad. I asked for a glass of tap water while my partner ordered food and a beer and they refused me the tap water. Additionally when we ate the wings, some were cold from the inside near the bone. We ate the rest and let the waitress know who was very rude and said that’s impossible.

Perfect little place for tasty food good drinks and excellent service. Can sit outside next to canal. Lovely atmosphere. Axelle was amazing, so kind and welcoming. Will come again ☺️

One of the greatest river view restaurants in the amsterdam. Great food, great service, great atmosphere inside and outside. The owner is always there to make sure of great service. The workers were fast and polite and listened to everything we said. Surely recommend for all tourists and locals.

My Beef tenderloin with fries was fine My wife's tuna too raw and lukewarm. After returning the first time, a second one was served without any problems Despite this, the quality of the tuna is mediocre. Thanks for the friendly service.

Top location and nice atmosphere, really a place where you like to sit. The staff was also friendly and helpful. But the food… unfortunately it just wasn't good. There were three of us and we ordered a melanzane, chicken satay and Caesar salad. The melanzane came without any tomato/tomato sauce, only béchamel sauce. Not as it should be, and you could taste it: flat and boring. The chicken satay turned out to be simply chicken fillet with satay sauce. The chicken was not marinated and had little flavor. The same chicken also appeared in the Caesar salad, which was still the best, but not really exciting. I told the staff that the melanzane was incorrect and had little taste. The waiter said to pass it on, but unfortunately we heard nothing more about it. Anyway: nice place, nice staff, but you really don't have to go here for the food.

The food is amazing, the environment is very nice, ideal for enjoying the canal view, especially in sunny weather.. but the waiters are indifferent and slow.

The fish was very average but the view of the canals is magnificent! Heated terrace in addition.

The ambiance and waterfront location are superb! However, the value for money is a bit disappointing. For 18 euros we had the fish and chip which was just a small fillet of fish with a few fries... At least the view was magnificent.

We enjoyed wonderful food there twice. Price / quality relation perfect. Only minus point for one toilet each (male/female), which means waiting time at busy hours. But a certainly highly recommended restaurant.

The food was fantastic! We ordered croquettes, club sandwich and the soup. All of them were the best we had in Netherland. Atmosphere also great! We recommend you 100% :)

The food was delicious, but during our visit it was a nice summer day and the terraces were open again for the first time. This meant that the service could not cope, so the chef had to bring the food himself and it did not arrive at the same time

I went with friends for lunch and cocktails in the afternoon. The service was relatively fast given how busy the restaurant was. When we asked to pay, the waiter asked us if we wanted to get the bill too or pay directly. We asked to see the bill and realised the prices on the bill were inflated compared to the prices on the menu (2.5€ more for the meals and 1€ more for the cocktails). I asked the waiter why that was and he quickly fixed it. I found the experience a bit sketchy especially seeing other reviews sharing a similar experience. Food is average.

I asked if the sandwich included fries and the waiter said yes, then my order came without fries and when I asked the waiter said “I didn’t say that”. After that I wanted to add some fries but was trying to decide which one and the waiter said he already ordered fries for me without even asking. I told him I want to have loaded fries and he said he already put an order for normal fries before I could even decide. Then he said he’d change it, surprise, 10 mins later normal fries came and not loaded fries thus he didn’t “change” it. Then I asked for ketchup with fries, never came. I asked another waiter for ketchup, never came. The ketchup didn’t came for 30 mins and I finished fries at that point. The waiters either don’t listen at all or don’t know English. Unpleasant experience to an otherwise nice place

Perfect place to chill and enjoy your time!! The atmosphere in the bar is great, there are many board games available for free, and the cocktails are delicious! ! ! Really friendly staff here, had a lot of fun!!!

The Morlang impresses with a beautiful terrace directly on the Keizersgracht - a perfect place to relax in good weather. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is of good quality. The variety of the menu in particular makes the visit worthwhile. However, the service could be a little more attentive - sometimes it takes a while to be served. The prices are on the higher end, but the location and the ambience largely justify this. Overall, a nice spot for a cozy meal or a drink with a view of the water!

What a fake tent this has become! We called to make a reservation at 8:30 PM for 2 people, it was clearly very busy because the other side could hardly be understood in poor English. We were late and called to say that we would arrive at 9 p.m., but we were told that we had to order immediately! Once seated there, immediately again, 'order now!' . We wanted to cooperate and immediately ordered 2x Fish & Chips, which arrived on the table within 10 minutes.... But what poverty: light fries, a kind of Igloo fish stick on a pile of bone-dry arugula and mayo, no ravigotte or other complicated sauce to accompany the dirty fish. We got up within thirty minutes and wanted to pay with a dinner voucher (we would rather not pay anything, so bad for € 18.50 pp). The barking bartender said that drinks would not be included in this voucher, but the owner (?) was lenient and suddenly it was allowed...Morlang was once a Top Tent with very good food, now it really can't have that name anymore, call it Ristorante Tourist Trap?

Vandaag voor lunch gereserveerd vanwege museum bezoek in de buurt. Stuk scherp plastic in eten gevonden ( fish and chips met mayo ). Dit doorgegeven. De kok zou geïnformeerd worden. Helaas geen gratis drankje aangeboden gekregen.

A superb discovery which will become an essential address for my next stays in Amsterdam! The place is decorated with care, which conveys a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The service was impeccable, the servers and owners very attentive (special mention for Jay, Claudia, Ratul and Malou :)) We ate very well, the quantities were perfect, the flavors at the top with a diverse menu suitable for both lunch and dinner, having eaten there twice. Very happy to have a good address like this, I recommend it to all profiles. It seems to me that they also welcome groups so save without hesitation!

9/10. We had diner, mixed meat, carbonara and bruschetta with porn star martinis which were a little sour to our liking because they used fresh passion fruit without sugar. (bartender made new ones which were perfect for us!) Carbonara was proper, no cream, how it should be! Meat as requested, good garnishing and (pepper?) sauce. Ambiance is really chill here, surprisingly good experience and the service is social and helpful.

Ate tenderloin and it was good in itself, but the vegetable consisted of a cut carrot and that was about it. When we asked whether fries could be served instead of mashed potatoes, the answer was no, unfortunately that is not possible. Yes, if we ordered it separately, but then we also had to include the mashed potatoes. I think hospitality can also be different. Otherwise good atmosphere.

The food was super tasty and you get a lot for little, the service was also great and we were asked if we wanted the main course, etc. It was pleasantly busy with nice music in the background.

Incredible disappointment after my first and only experience in this restaurants. Not only the food was bad, like, hard pasta and watery sauce bad, but they have a partnership with NeoTaste where, while checking the restaurant as a first timer, you can get a discount. After dinner, I noticed discrepancies between the prices listed on the menu and those on the invoice, which appear to have been inflated, likely to offset the discount provided through NeoTaste. Don't recommend this kind of disrespectful service. Just don't partner with anyone if you're not willing to respect your part of the deal.

Wij werden goed ontvangen door het personeel. We hadden spareribs besteld alleen waren deze niet goed gaar en het zat vol met vette stukken. Het vlees bestond bijna alleen maar uit vet. Ook hadden we een rijstbowl besteld en deze was niet lekker de kip was heel smakeloos en droog en de avocado was verrot. Dit waren geen aanraders dus. Verder was het personeel wel heel vriendelijk.

La reserva no llegó y no había mesa o tuvimos que comer dentro de una hora. Entonces el salmón estaba crudo y frío. El siguiente me hizo creer que se calentaba con un horno microondas porque no había costra que se obtiene preparando salmón en una sartén. La carta de vinos no es realmente inspiradora. Así que... no es el mejor lugar para una excelente cena. Sólo promedio. El personal hizo la diferencia que le doy 3 de 5. El hombre detrás de la barra estaba lleno de buena atención, así que esa fue la mejor parte de nuestra visita.

Had a lovely time with my niece. We were given a room and were kindly helped by the 2 ladies behind the bar. Nice cozy location with tasty drinks (and we also had cheese snacks), conviviality and friendly staff. What more could you want!

Morlang is van eigenaar gewisseld en dat is helaas te merken. Het eten was ronduit vies. We bestelden fish and chips en kregen een stukje vis (vermoedelijk koolvis) die gepaneerd en al uit de diepvries was gehaald en was gefrituurd. Goedkope troep. De vis stonk naar vis, een teken dat het niet vers is. De frites was ook niet vers maar van aardappelmeel gemaakt. Ik ben van Morlang goede kwaliteit gewend en verwachtte dan ook iets veel beters. Goede fish and chips is niet te versmaden. Dit was een liefdeloze bende.

Good place for lunch, I ordered a ham omelette with cheese and extra bacon and avocado, a little salty for my taste, and unfortunately they didn't have orange juice, I will return, I liked the atmosphere and they have a varied menu for lunch.

Very disappointing. We ordered a vegetarian breakfast and they put ham in it. We asked for them to be changed and they brought out the same dish but had just removed the ham. The food was then cold. We tried to eat it but it wasn’t nice at all. The coffee was like a water. The staff were nice and friendly.

Great time spent at Morlang Café. The dishes are good and generously served. We really liked the bitterballen, it was a great discovery! The service is impeccable and the employees are top notch. A big thank you to Axelle who was of great help and who supported us in choosing our dishes. She made us delicious B52 for the end of the meal, it was great. Absolutely worth doing again! I highly recommend this restaurant and wish you the chance to be served by Axelle 🥰.

I went here randomly while visiting around Amsterdam. But finally it's a very good place to visit and have meals here. Instead of paying for overpriced places that are promoted on Social Media, I find this restaurant a must-visit as it's affordable and have a really nice view that hardly found. Nice staffs, nice service 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 and also not much crowded that gives me the true chilling vibe like pictures on Pinterest 😂

We ordered the egg avocado sandwich and that was good but the pancake sensation was very disappointing, they were cold and no whipped cream or anything. When we took it back because it was cold we were told they will make a new one but we got back the same one but heated. For the price that’s not what I expect.
