A very friendly welcome, and everything was perfect. You can pay separately. Perfect for a walking group. Keep it up.

After a hike in the beautiful hills, we stopped for a cup of hot chocolate at this crappy restaurant/bistro. There were only three occupied tables, and yet we had to wait 20 minutes for our order, which was even split up. When we tried to enjoy our last cup on the terrace, we were even accused of stealing all the dishes we'd brought with us. This was the first and last time we'd ever been to this incredibly rude innkeeper. Highly recommended! And then there's the reaction...extremely weak and cowardly. The standard reaction to negative reviews is evasive and mostly finger-pointing. But if you refuse to recognize your own areas for improvement, and you're unfriendly and above all disrespectful when you immediately accuse people of theft (there were five of us, and the previously served dishes had already been collected, so they weren't stolen...just count your cups), I don't think you'll have many lasting customers. Hopefully, somewhere along the line, they'll understand that action is reaction, and as soon as someone is approached respectfully, you can expect a respectful response in return! Again, I'd drive on!

Cozy little restaurant. Ideal for a bite to eat.

The atmosphere rating applies to the terrace. It's relatively close to the main road from Wittem to Valkenburg.

They also have vegetarian dishes there and they listen to you if you don't like something and they will do their best

Excellent value for money with friendly service. We initially sat in the separate smoking area, but it started raining so we moved to another table. Fortunately, there were plenty of tables, both inside and outside. Wheelchair accessible and even special facilities (entrance, large restrooms). Handy for walkers too 😃 Really fresh mint tea: mint was snipped from the plant in the pot. The smoothie was delicious. Of course, we wanted pie with whipped cream (cherry and apricot). The restroom had been left unclean by the previous user, and it was quickly cleaned after we reported it. Plenty of restrooms, so no problem (not anyway, because I'll wait a bit). Dogs are welcome (under the table and well-behaved). Next time, we'll come for sauerkraut (that looked so delicious 😋). It's located on a fairly busy main road and next to a beautiful church/monastery (free to visit). Free parking across the street. All in all, a perhaps somewhat old-fashioned-looking eatery, but it's also called Oud Wittem and there are no frills on your plate 🤩

Had a delicious chicken patty with salad. Great place.

Went for lunch on Sunday, once but never again. It was a filthy, sticky affair, and the restrooms were extremely dirty. The staff wasn't interested. The bouncer was okay, though. We won't be seeing them again.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly.

Stopped in after a visit to the monastery. Drinks, food, and service/staff were absolutely fine and particularly attentive.

Extreem slechte service. Je wordt er niet eens bediend. Serveersters hebben het te druk met elkaar. Ben na kwartier maar opgestapt.

Excellent service, but there were some ambiguities with the serving, for example a bouncer with ham arrived after I had ordered an bouncer without. The bouncer was also really a scam, it was on supermarket bread and two eggs with cheese boards, all products that you think in the supermarket, ohh I don't need this, poor quality. But still quite tasty, but this was not worth my 9.00. the portion of nachos was small and heated in the microwave. We also ordered apple pie and got normal apple pie, the apricot pie was really good

Delicious Latte Machiato. Sitting in the sun next to the church of Wittem. Where you can light a candle and buy a souvenir in the shop around the corner. And of course we ate a delicious piece of Limburg pie.

Very young friendly staff. Large terrace, the cappuccino wasn't really good - water and cream - at least that's how it tasted I only drank the cappuccino, I didn't feel like eating,,,😉

Besteld koffie en twee buine bollen gezond. De koffie werd meteen gebracht. De broodjes duurde 10 minuten. De koffie was ondertussen koud. Bij het afrekenen vertelde ik dat ze de koffie en de broodjes beter samen kunnen brengen om te voorkomen dat de koffie koud werd. Het antwoord was " dat doen wij al 120 jaar zo, de broodjes moeten gemaakt worden. We brengen de dranken eerst. Ook wilde ik hem nog uitleggen dst dranken wel kunnen maar koffie niet. Stuitend. Niet gedient van een verbeteringsvoorstel. Totale onbegrip en onfatsoen.

A lovely terrace with good and very friendly service. Delicious food and well-stocked drinks. It is along a busy road, but there is always a lot to see.

Wonderfully placed on the terrace after a visit to the church. Staff is friendly and the price is certainly not expensive. Also nice as a stopover when you are walking.

Komen hier al jaren. Maar blijft uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor een stevige lunch. Kroketten, broodje tonijn (gluten vrij). Uitermate klantvriendelijk en zorgvuldig personeel

"Old-fashioned" Café-Restaurant with ditto menu. This is of course in a positive sense! Cozy terrace, service is fast and friendly. Enjoyed excellent coffee with pie.

Training of staff could be better

Fried chicken breast was tasty, served with fried potatoes and a large amount of vegetables.

I have never had anything so bad. The pie seemed to have been in the refrigerator for 3 days and baked. It was visible from the brown crust. The cappuccino was just water. I told him hey. And the response was a shame for you. Paid nicely, but leave half of it. I'd rather never come here. The reaction afterward is a bit strange. From them. I have the idea that they only want to make easy money.

Just a drink and a Limburg pie. Well received and hospitable.

Ooit bij een AGR hier wezen lunchen. Zwaar aan te bevelen. Eenvoudige kaart voor een ieder wat wils. Komen we graag nog een keer terug.

We hebben er onze stop gemaakt tijdens het fietsen even een lekkere ijscoup genomen.

Altijd gezellige aankomt met de woosjtrAmpelaere. Snelle en goede bediening.

Essen war lecker. Bedienungen waren freundlich. Bei den vielen Leuten musste man sich Zeit nehmen.

Terras en interieur zien er afgeschreven, onverzorgd en rommelig uit. Bediening heel vriendelijk, maar de door ons genuttigde vlaai en broodje zijn geen traktatie. Koffie in één woord: slecht. Jammer.

Twee gerechten op de menukaart bleken niet aanwezig Bediening in taal correct, maar koel, zo kort mogelijk. Jammer. De gerechten waren goed van smaak.

Mooi terras. Lekker gegeten voor een mooie prijs.

Prima plek voor een kwaliteits lunch voor een nette prijs. Ruim terras met veel schaduw. Net sanitair.

Hier zojuist gegeten. Vriendelijke bediening. Wel jammer dat ze geen ham meer hadden maar voor de rest lekker gegeten. Eten is vers en mooi gepresenteerd. Crispy chicken burger zat alleen wel te veel mosterd het overheerste heel erg. Dus er zijn zekers verbeter punten maar zou zo nog een keer gaan.

Oud Wittem is een ouderwets standaard toeristrenrestaurant, maar ze hebben er wel zoervleisj met frites!. De frites heb ik wel eens knapperiger gegeten, maar het zuurvlees was prima na een forse wandeling in de prachtige omgeving van Wittem. Verwacht er niet te veel van, dan valt het ook niet tegen :-)

Oud Wittem is een goed gekozen naam voor dit etablissement. Je keert helemaal terug naar de goede jaren zeventig toen het uiteten voor de burger mogelijk werd. Maar daar is helemaal niks mis mee! Personeel is van deze tijd en je kunt er gewoon pinnen.

Gezellig terras aan de doorgaande weg. Vriendelijke service. Verse Limburgse vlaai.

Vriendlijke bediening, lekker ijs. Maar de cappucino voldeet echt niet denk dar de verhoudiing 99,5% melk was.

Heerlijke milkshake gedronken. Snelle, vriendelijke bediening, wel een beetje ouderwets.

My wife and I have been here many times before and are never disappointed, excellent service with tasty food.

Geweldige slagroom, lekkere frietjes, warme wafel met kersen was ook erg lekker.

Interieur, behalve het toilet, is vergane glorie. Eten is niet veel soeps. Simpele gerechten. Wel erg aardig personeel.
