A great restaurant with jaw-dropping views on both sides. Also splendid food of high quality and pleasant service. For kids there's a large playground at the back which is shared with the holiday house complex neighbouring the restaurant. I fear that this plays gets flooded with people in summer but in early spring it is awesome.

We had such a lovely time! The food was absolutely delicious — I would honestly rate it number one in the Netherlands when it comes to quality and taste. The customer service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend trying their Angus beef burger and the schnitzel with mushroom sauce — both were outstanding!

People, look at the way this lady responds to everything. Every review with a point of criticism gets a sneer. That alone is unprofessional. Unskilled and unfriendly, especially to the owner. To children and animals. Unacceptable!

After a long day of driving, arriving from southern Germany, you'd like a drink after checking in. The terrace was empty; it had been raining, so we went inside. There, the two of us were put in a dark corner. We ordered two beers, and a little later we were asked what we wanted to eat, but we didn't want that, just a beer. This wasn't appreciated; there were only a limited number of places to eat, so just a drink wasn't the right thing to do. According to the lady with glasses who served us, it was a restaurant, and now we were taking up a place for diners. Very unfriendly, and we felt completely unwelcome. So, for the rest of our stay, we didn't go to this restaurant again! The website clearly states that you can go there for coffee, pie, drinks, and/or food.

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, and after finishing one half, I wanted to start the other. Then I saw there was a bug in it. I told the staff, but they didn't give me a new one. They said it wasn't there when we brought it. Poor service, in my opinion. There were also a lot of wasps, which they don't bother with. The food is generally fine, but I wouldn't go back.

During our week-long vacation at Europarcs, we ate every single one. Whether it was coffee, pie, lunch, or a hot meal. We were satisfied with the food and the prompt service, and we always left a (we thought) generous tip. Until the day before our departure, when we wanted to have a drink at 4:30 PM, a table opened up where we wanted to sit, but a waiter came to tell us they wanted to keep it free for diners; there wasn't a queue at the time. We only wanted a drink. Unfortunately, this wasn't allowed, even as regular guests. Very rude. That's what you get back, even if you always leave a generous tip. We didn't return after this, but the remark kept us busy the whole evening. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

We've eaten there a few times. The food is good, but if you have a question or want something extra (like a sauce or something), it can be a bit tricky. The steak wasn't red on the inside either, which was a shame. It's often busy, so I understand that, but a bit more customer service would make the place even better.

"The customer is king" is a principle they don't care about. During our visit to this restaurant, I saw not one but two groups of people being treated extremely disrespectfully. We were also subjected to full treatment. Therefore, I'd like to suggest that this restaurant close immediately and start a plant shop. They don't talk back and don't leave reviews. They don't complain when umbrellas aren't opened and they sit in the full sun. They simply die in silence. While we don't. Perhaps retraining wouldn't be a bad idea. Since several guests heard this behavior, and you had no problem whatsoever with the "you'll never see me here again" remark, this could very well become a reality. Humanity will thank you for it, at least.

Extremely disappointing! The staff has an extremely negative attitude and is rude to customers. They refuse to open a parasol despite it being 26 degrees Celsius. Only four dishes per table are allowed. We used to come here regularly, but after this experience for the second time in a row, we are certain: we will NEVER BE BACK. We considered booking the adjacent campsite at Europarcs, but with this restaurant, that's also not going to happen.

We used to be huge fans of this restaurant, but since early 2025, it's been consistently disappointing. The staff is extremely rude to customers, making us feel uncomfortable when a customer was loudly rejected. Only four dishes can be ordered per table, and these can't be customized. Opening the parasol, despite it being 27 degrees Celsius, wasn't possible. We were blamed for switching tables. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, our food was canceled with an aggressive gesture that we should never return. Of course, we weren't planning on doing this again, but this reaction will certainly make us share our experience widely.

The food was delicious, but the service was terrible. I'm now seeing a review from last week with the same issue. Your response was that they would work on it. I received my salad, and within a minute, three wasps were in it. No wasp precautions anywhere. I indicated I wanted to eat inside because that's not feasible. This wasn't allowed. Imagine if everyone wanted to go inside, was the response. So??? That's called hospitality! It's not that there weren't any staff, and it wasn't that busy either. The team complains and gossips about others, while we, the guests, are sitting around. They're especially joking about all the guests' complaints about the wasps. The woman with the jam-jar glasses is the absolute worst. She hardly worked, by the way; she was just chatting with her friend on the patio. If that's the owner, you should be ashamed of yourself as a company. Incidentally, there were two excellent staff members. 1 had problems with her leg and the other had leopard print pants and these helped us well.

It all started off great: a sunny day, friendly service, and delicious food. Until...we wanted to move inside because of the large number of wasps that frightened our two young children. The manager wouldn't let us in. When we asked to speak to him/her, we were told the manager wasn't even there! Anyway, we were finally allowed in, until we entered and a staff member felt compelled to loudly voice her displeasure: "This is unacceptable, and you shouldn't be acting like this, Julie. Wasps don't do anything." No question about allergies; just a blatantly unfriendly comment. NO, this is not a pretty sight. We sincerely hope the child is dismissed, or at the very least, required to take a course on customer service.

Nice restaurant with a playground and reasonable prices. We go there every other week. The croquettes with mustard are my favorite.

The food was on the table in no time and was delicious! The portions were generous and the staff friendly. We'll definitely be back this week.

Gingen om 1600uur op het terras zitten, wij waren met z'n vieren en een kindje. We hebben zelf 2 honden en die gaan overal mee naar toe, zijn ze ergens niet welkom gaan wij door naar een ander restaurant. Maar bij Jantje was het geen enkel probleem, netjes bij en onder onze tafel. We hebben eerst wat gedronken en hebben om 17:30uur wat te eten besteld,we namen 2 x pasta en 2x de Angus burger, de gerechten waren goed bereid en smaakten bijzonder goed, complimenten aan de chef. Als desert gekozen voor een Dame Blance, ook deze waren heerlijk (groot) 😉 al met al, heerlijk gegeten en gezeten, we gaan hier de komende 2 weken zeker nog een paar keer heen.

Bad service was just pushed into a corner. They said that everything was reserved. But afterwards there were still guests who could choose a table and also had not reserved, I think that is a bad thing.

The food was really not tasty. Taste ratio was not right, not restaurant worthy Also reported to the staff but was told "there is nothing wrong with it" 4 small pieces of meat in a stew and a limp cutlet and 15 pale fries sorry that really can't be done for that price.

Heerlijk gegeten op het terras. Lekkerste salades ooit! Ook de bediening was super vriendelijk ondanks dat ze het zo druk hadden. Wij komen zeker weer snel terug.

We went for a bite to eat with 4 families (11 people). When ordering it turned out that you can only choose 4 different dishes per table due to the busy kitchen (excluding children's and pizza dishes). Since we had not seen that, we were made aware of it. We had shifted and adjusted to 5 different dishes, but it turned out to be unacceptable. We even offered to split up to 2 separate tables (parents/kids) so that they had 100% of the income from our ordered dishes. That also turned out not to be good, we had to leave! Unbelievable how antisocial and even almost rude the owner reacted. Then you dare to allow yourself a bit 😡 Fortunately, there are still plenty of other catering establishments that do welcome guests with open arms. Jantje saw plums hanging is not worth letting them earn even a euro! And the lady with glasses (read owner) is anything but customer-friendly and arrogant in a TOP way! To puke 🤮

We gingen met 4 gezinnen (11 personen) een hapje eten. Bij het bestellen bleek dat je maar 4 verschillende gerechten mag kiezen per tafel i.v.m. drukte in de keuken (exclusief kinder- en pizzagerechten). Aangezien wij dat niet gezien hadden werden we erop geattendeerd. We hadden dusdanig geschoven en aangepast naar 5 verschillende gerechten maar bleek niet acceptabel. We boden zelfs aan om naar 2 losse tafels te splitsen (ouders/kids) zodat ze de 100% inkomsten hadden van onze bestelde gerechten. Ook dat bleek niet goed, we konden vertrekken! Niet te bevatten, hoe asociaal en zelfs bijha brutaal hoe de eigenaresse reageerde. Dan durf je je wat te permitteren 😡 Er zijn gelukkig wel nog genoeg andere horecagelegenheden die de gasten wel met open armen ontvangen. Jantje zag eens pruimen hangen is het niet waard om überhaupt maar een euro te laten verdienen! En het brillenmevrouwtje (lees eigenaresse) is alles behalve klantvriendelijk en arogant op en TOP! Zum kotsen 🤮

We waren met 11 personen. Het werd goed bevonden dat we met zijn allen aan een picknicktafel gingen zitten. Vervolgens mochten we maar 4 verschillende gerechten kiezen. Hierop hebben we ons willen splitsen met tafels. Dit werd niet gewaardeerd, waarna we zelfs weg gestuurd zijn.. zeer onvriendelijk personeel. En dat terwijl we al terug gegaan waren naar 5 verschillende gerechten. Schijnbaar kunnen ze het zich permitteren...

Wanted to get a table outside with our big dog around the corner. Quiet place! But a very hurried lady in the service said that it was only for larger groups. She approached us very outspoken and unpleasant and not amenable to reason. When we walked away we saw that tables in the quieter part were occupied by 2 to 3 people both with and without a dog!

Got some delicious fries here. A bit pricey though

I rested here during a tiring MTB tour around Gulpen. Up on the Gulperberg you can enjoy a delicious Limburg pie with coffee on the terrace. The staff was very friendly.

We were going to eat and drink with six people, there was quite a lot of sun. So we wanted to sit in the shade. According to a lady from the service that was not possible, because then they had to walk too far. There was only room in the full sun. Whether we could sit inside, this was also not the intention. So the first and the last time, Jantje!

Mevrouw neemt plaats op het terras terwijl haar kinderen lekker spelen in de speeltuin. Personeel vraagt de mevrouw te vertrekken van het terras. Zelfs als zij uitlegt dat ze slecht ter been is en niet kan blijven staan bij de speeltuin. Nu, terras was helemaal leeg, geen drukte te bekennen, maar mevrouw moest een drankje nemen anders mocht ze er niet blijven. Binnen heb ik geprobeerd een thee te bestellen voor mevrouw, zodat zij even kon zitten en haar kinderen nog even lekker konden blijven spelen. Maar ik mocht niets van de situatie vinden of zeggen en nu was het terras ineens gesloten. Thee kreeg ik niet mee. Zeer onvriendelijk, onempatisch, vreselijk, afschuwelijk personeel. Liever gaf ik voor deze situatie geen sterren!

Zeer slechte service, bediening is onvriendelijk. Er mag geen hond binnen die op een botje kauwt, een kind wat niet recht zit wordt gecorrigeerd door de serveerster en gevraagd de schoenen uit te doen. Wanneer je in gesprek gaat wordt je gesommeerd te vertrekken. Buiten is ook geen bediening.

Restaurant is located at the Europarcs park. We stay here every year. Apart from snacks, we haven't eaten there yet so we can't judge this. Sunny terrace with plenty of shade. Staff are friendly. Personally, we didn't think the frozen cocktails were really great or tasty. I think they come from a pre-made bottle or something.

The plan was to have a drink on this terrace and then have dinner... we arrived at 3:30 PM and took a seat on the terrace. After a while a waitress came to us and indicated that she would not serve us because she was no longer accepting new tables (the terrace was less than 20% full), even a drink was not possible. Then asked inside what the reason was for this; I received the answer that it would 'burst' (rain) soon, while all weather apps indicated that the weather would remain beautiful. In short, I drove here for nothing to meet very unfriendly staff!

Bad camping atmosphere. There was plenty of room to have a drink in the sun. When we wanted to take a table, we were only allowed to sit with the two of us, unfortunately there was only one person who was still in the sun a bit, but that wouldn't last long. There were still 6 spots (out of 4) that were in the sun, but we were not allowed to sit there. We felt anything but welcome. Never again.

Nice place to have something to eat with the kids. Sufficient play options available outside, although a fence/demarcation along the playground would be nice given the cars driving back and forth towards the chalets on the campsite. Service was very friendly and cooperative, thank you! Tasty pickled meat, the fries could have been fried a little longer, but all in all a tasty meal! After a long walk, which was very beautiful, we arrived at this restaurant. We took a seat in the sun and a few minutes later staff arrived after us and asked us to sit at a table with a table number. Initially no problem until she showed us a table out of the sun even though the weather was nice. There was no other table available in the sun with a table number. While there were many free tables in the sun. so we decided to continue walking. but I did indicate that this was not really customer friendly the way they said it and that we could only sit in the shade. Then we walked to another cafe in Gulpen next to the bus station and here too we could just sit outside in the sun, definitely recommended.

Nice restaurant on the Gulpenerberg, we received a friendly welcome and our dog was allowed inside. We ate delicious pickled meat with a good beer and nice wine. We enjoyed the nice atmosphere and the delicious food.

Had coffee, unfortunately the pie was already gone (1 o'clock in the afternoon). It's a shame if you've just walked for an hour in the cold. Service was friendly.

Was verrast: al 15 jaar niet meer daar geweest: nu n geweldig rest etc.tof. Vriendelijk personeel /meiden met n luisterend oor: ook geweldig/ grande bellisimo. Saluti. Jann.

Ik ben ontzettend tevreden met se betrokkenheid en service van het personeel. Mijn biefstuk bleek niet medium, maar nog aan de rauwe kant. Zonder gemopper werd mijn biefstuk nog even teruggenomen. Helaas bleek hij na poging twee nog een beetje te rood naar mijn zin en ook wat taai. De groente en het sausje waren wel lekker. De mevrouw die ons hielp vond het echt heel vervelend en herhaalde dat meerdere keren. We kregen een koffie van haar. Aan service ontbrak het ons niet.

Staff asks money for a glass of water to take medicine. Rude people, not like real Limburgian people, they are probably northern dutch people.

Last week of the school holidays, in August, a week of holiday on the Gulperberg. The restaurant/shop is not from EuroParcs itself. I will split this review into the restaurant and the store Restaurant. Nice menu, about 4 or 5 dishes on the menu were unfortunately no longer available (crossed out) and some dishes were already gone (pastries) or were only delivered again at the end of the week (cheese board). What was there was tasty. The staff is nice, works hard and knows exactly who is where and who still needs to be served. When I asked for some ice cubes in my cointreau, the tray was put away and I grabbed ice cubes from the tray with my bare hand and put them in my drink. I was a bit flabbergasted by it and so I didn't say anything. Shop The store has older staff who are more concerned with themselves and the store than with customers. While there are several people at the cash register, they just continue doing their thing and there is no greeting or saying "I'll be right there". When collecting the sandwich order, the bread is also packed with bare hands and put in the bag and they continue what they are doing, very unhygienic. This made me decide to get breakfast at Plus in Gulpen. In short.. It's a nice place, good food but it has more potential.

. In any case, do not order pasta with scampi and salmon. Ingredients are forgotten, when we asked (after we finally contacted the waiter, this did not go well) we were given a bowl of dried bacon. We were offered two drinks, asked to take them off the bill as we didn't want to stay there for dessert. Hubby was really hungry so he ate everything at that moment. But he also thought it was really tasteless. We chose this restaurant because it came up first on Google Maps restaurants. It said sponsored. Service was not very friendly and difficult to get in touch with, they stood in a clique behind the bar chatting about the guests?

Always nice to come here. We think you are doing great. And we had a delicious meal again tonight. Wonderful on top of the mountain with the friendliest waitresses in South Limburg!! Cheers and keep it up!!!!! See you again soon!!!

Nice lunch with a beautiful view.

Met kinderen en kleinkinderen gisteren gegeten en o.a. steak van Jantje en Black angus burger gegeten. Die burger was te droog en mijn 1e biefstuk (besteld als medium) gewoonweg rauw en taai. Er werd een 2e gemaakt, maar deze bleek spier-en pees te hebben waardoor het 24 euro stukje vlees ruim overschat werd zowel in kwaliteit als ook waarde. Voor ons geen 2e keer meer.

We stayed at EuroParcs which was great, sat on the terrace with afew friends and was told to move because we were only 4 and had to move to a table of 4 outside the entrance to toilets. We wanted the bench for 6 overlooking the view. VERY unfriendly, especially the owner.. would not recommend.. not going back.. greeting people with a smile.. is that such a hard thing to do?
