La comida tomó 1 hora para solo una hamburguesa!!!!!!!!!!!! El peor momento nunca llegó. Pequeñas porciones y apenas servicio.

Excellent place to relax after leaving the park. Very beautiful atmosphere, very poetic decor! The desserts are to die for: carrok cake and Apple pie!! The toilets are extremely clean!! I recommend ++ for a snack, an aperitif or lunch!

We were ignored for over 20 minutes, even though it was not that busy. After asking a waiter, we eventually got our drinks, but that’s just bad service :( wouldn’t recommend.

The vegetarian spring rolls were tasty, pita with hummus too, pumpkin soup was tasty but spicy. Service very friendly.

Unpretentious, large beer list, delicious snack menu and cozy like a neighborhood café.

I had a bad experience from a staff there. I live in Amsterdam for 4 years. and yes, I look like an asian, i went to have a good time with my colleagues and as a longtime party goer, I drink. and of course as a customer who asked politely and in a nice way. I requested something for my order to the tall girl who manages the bar side. and she was like “ what do you want?!” “what?!” and turned around so rude. BAD EXPERIENCE!

Really cosy cafe, was there for the international pubquiz and had a great time. Service was friendly and fast I did not try their food so can't comment on that. I would recomend it.

I celebrated my party at Schinkelhaven and everyone had a great time. There were tasty snacks, everything always in good consultation. The atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant. The acoustics are nice, you can hear everyone well. I was able to bring in my own playlist, so I could really add my own atmosphere. The staff was involved and noticed when someone needed a snack or drink. In short: enjoyed it!

We live nearby and this was always our standard café to eat and/or have a drink for a nice price. They have delicious dishes and it is a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, they have recently raised the prices, which has brought down the experience. For example, the burger now costs €20.75! Although we understand the effect of inflation, we find this very unfortunate. We can get a nicer seat at Bonnie's for comparable (and in some cases even less) money.

Delicious!! Yummy and affordable. For the first time we had mustard soup and warm bread for starters. Yummy. The service was pleasant and efficient. A very warm and inviting place. Tables inside and out. Gay friendly.

I ordered uitsmijter. Sadly the bread not only without butter and the size of a double doorstep - it was old, crumbly and dry! Spoiled the whole uitsmijter. Service was very good and on a positive note they have good beers in tap. Such a shame as its a lovely terrace with a friendly black cat to greet you at the door

Nice place, tasty pitas (not often seen on the menu) definitely a plus! Staff was fast and friendly!! Food was on the table quickly and all in all a very nice cafe to visit!

We were in Aug/2022… Well located (close to one of the Vondelpak entrances). As we arrived late, after the kitchen closed time, it was no longer possible to order anything to eat. Luckily for us, that night, the person responsible for the kitchen was the very Brazilian and friendly Percival who, even though he had already finished his work day and was about to leave, generously asked us to prepare a portion of the traditional Dutch Bitterballens. As if this empathy wasn't enough, Percival dedicated almost an hour of his time with us, telling us his story in Holland, giving us tips on places to visit and even treated us to a beer. In other words, thanks to Percival's exceptional service, what could have been a hassle was transformed into a surprisingly pleasant and unforgettable experience! Congratulations to Café Schinkelhaven for having this type of collaborator on its staff… Great figure, Percival!!!

Nice place. Rich menu. Except they forgot to bring us the fries, we waited almost an hour until we told the waitress and she remembered. But the attention was friendly.

A very pleasant surprise on our last night in Amsterdam. It was close to our hotel so we decided to give it a try and expected bar fare - which would have been fine - but it was more of fine dining cuisine in a relaxed neighborhood bar setting. My wife had the pasta pesto and I have the daily special. Both were very good and the staff was friendly and attentive. The cook even came out of the kitchen to ask what we thought of the meal. We had the sticky toffee cake for dessert which was a nice way to end the meal.

Good, easy, feeling place. 80s and 90s familiar easy music. Food really nice. We visited 1st night I Amsterdam, Sunday evening.

Had a very nice breakfast here and a delicious spread! The service was also very nice and helpful, a nice young man David helped us, a very helpful and handsome young man. I definitely recommend the restaurant to someone who wants good food, nice seating and nice service for an affordable price.

The two serving staff did a fantastic job as mobbed for a Wednesday. Loved the food. Although the staff were great the visiting black cat was the highlight

Top cafe. Super cozy. The atmosphere when you enter is very cozy and relaxing. The food is a bit expensive, but you definitely get paid for your food. The chefs are super nice, just like the service.

Excellent food! Had the Beef Stew and my partner had the falafel burger! Both had excellent favour and the Lellebel Beer tasted great with the meal also! Would highly recommend!

Old and lived-in cafe. Cozy and atmospheric. Didn't eat there so can't rate but the drinks and service were good.

Caloroso e super accogliente. Abbiamo mangiato bitterballen eccellenti e un buon manzo stufato. Costi poco superiori a grandi città italiane, ma alcolici più cari. Veramente consigliato.

Stopped by on Sunday December 10th for dinner. The food was fine, I had the hash. However, I personally did not think the service was good. When my main course was served, I ordered another drink for dinner, but I never saw it again. After dinner I actually wanted to order coffee with a glass of cognac, but I decided against this as no service came to the table after serving the food. The staff did have time to chat with each other behind the bar, sit on their phones and smoke. The location and atmosphere were good and the choice of specialty beers was also good.

The staff is super nice and they're hamburger is delicious. I also love the sweet potato fries.

Nice hopping little pub. We all had their homemade gluwein. Perfect for a cold and rainy afternoon.

Had a few beers while waiting for the rain to stop before proceeding to find a place for supper. Very nice atmosphere and very nice service. Highly recommended for a beer or night out.

Was erg goed en gezellig, maar een beetje koud kwa ruimte temperatuur.

Cosy cafe with a great borrel and lunch menu. Smaller but perfectly formed dinner menu. The sweet potato soup of the day was warming and delicious and steak cooked on point. Warm and welcoming inside but also have a large terrace lit by candlelight. The staff are welcoming and kind. Look forward to next time!

Food was OK but service is super layback. By any parameter, from the time you seat to the time someone comes over, no frequent 'scanning' if someone needs anything. So the food is a 3 and that service is a 2.

Super gezellig café met heerlijk terras aan het Vondelpark, met ruime keuze aan biertjes en hapjes! Vriendelijke bediening en ik kom zeker terug!

Prima eten, maar service is niet geweldig. 2+ uur gewacht op drie hamburgers om vervolgens te horen te krijgen dat er iets mis is gegaan en we ons eten pas over een kwartier krijgen. Uiteindelijk pas gegeten om 22:30. Bij het afrekenen stonden er ook nog eens meerdere dingen op de rekening die wij niet besteld hadden. Korting was in dit geval niet misplaatst geweest, maar werd helaas niet aangeboden.

We spent here a great lunch, Milene was an excellent waitress. Nice place 😊

Great place near Vondelpark with good food and coffee! There’s something for everyone from classics and borrelhapjes to the funky Wasabi burger (which was also great). I always try to stop here with guests and so far everybody loved it

Stopped by for a late lunch this sunny Sunday afternoon, service and food was great, lovely sunny garden and lively atmosphere, love eating out in Amsterdam

Vaak goede ervaring gehad bij dit cafe, maar nu was de service dramatisch. Een uur gezeten, na 20 min pas eerste drankje, na nog eens 40 min geen bediening aan tafel gehad en besloten af te rekenen. Tot mijn grote verbazing zat het personeel gezellig achter de bar bitterballen te eten en niks te doen.

La persona que nos ha atendido muy amable, la hamburguesa Schinkelhaven burguer estaba muy buena, quizá cambiaría el pan.., la sopa del día bien calentita es de cebolla (está cayendo nieve cada cierto tiempo porque lleva lloviendo todo el dia) y estaba exquisita. Música muy buena a un nivel muy agradable. Muy recomendable.
