Top tent! Nice relaxed pub, friendly staff, good food and always a friendly cozy atmosphere.

A great cafe located in Amsterdam. The vibe is very nice and cozy. The interior is nice and has a retro vibe. I was here on a Friday afternoon after 5PM and the place was already buzzing with people. I decided to take a seat and order something to drink and eat. Their Patatje (Fries) Rendang Beef (Indonesian stew) was really delicious and tasty! The beef was nicely seasoned and the fries were crispy. They offer 2 sizes, small or XL and they also have a vegetarian option available with jackfruit (I haven’t tried that one). The personnel is friendly and attentive. And if it get’s busy, don’t be surprised if it takes bit longer before your drinks and/or food arrives… They are doing their best and they are working hard. Imagine being by yourself behind the bar and kitchen while the cafe is full of people that all want something to drink and/or eat. Take a chill pill! Keep up the great work team!

Beautiful cafe, cute yet comfortably decorated. Friendly and fast service, good prices and a wide choice of different drinks. The fried snacks were also very tasty and of good quality. All in all definitely recommended!!

Small menu, but excellent food!

Food was sublime and for such a low price. Drinks plentiful and delicious. The service gives a higher grade than a ten. Super friendly, attentive and pleasant. The cook is a sweetheart who cooked delicious food and made it a little less spicy on request. Mmmmmmm

Een echt authentiek Amsterdams café, geweldig gelegen. Simpele maar heerlijke gerechten, en een werkelijk sublieme atmosfeer en bediening. Je voelt je al heel gauw een graag geziene gast. Tevens een van de beste plekken van Amsterdam om Ajax te kijken. Naast het terras is een speeltuin, dus als je kids mee hebt is daar ook geen omkijken naar. Er wordt standaard heel fijne hiphop gedraaid, en er zijn zeer regelmatig DJ’s die vette vinyl sets draaien. Wij hebben er in ieder geval een hele avond ons vermaakt, een echte aanrader!

Verrassing van het jaar! Lieve bediening en heerlijk eten. Gaan gauw weer!

Positive are vegan + veggie friendly menu and nice interior and local vibe, welcoming atmosphere. Other than that, service is very friendly, but clearly badly trained (waitress took away empty dishes while one of two persons was still eating. Ordered ice cafe, milk was already served in it.. normally you ask whether it’s needed beforehand.) Food tasted like fast food. Brunch menu limited, and only consisting of savory food - no sweets. (More like a lunch menu to me.) offering sweet tasting waffles with deep fried mushrooms instead of a normal sweet version is quite weird, especially if it tastes very bland. The rendang sandwich tasted and looked like fast food. I feel bad after having eaten here. All in all: nothing special, not recommended.

Very tasty, wonderfully fresh ingredients. Limited menu but great dishes. Friendly local fun vibe. Also has outdoor seating across the street in green space park. As well as indoors.

We had a lovely evening here, we wanted Dutch food, but the photos on trip advisor are out of date. The food is amazing- really small menu, but everything is very good. Staff, atmosphere and food were superb in a friendly and low key environment. The espresso martinis were superb! Fortunately our son eats everything, not suitable for kids that don’t.

This is a place to linger and enjoy lovingly made delicious slow food in a laid back, friendly atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and service good. What other reviews say about a long wait is true but it’s worth it! There’s only one chef, the owner, who you can see cooking at the side of the room which gives it a fun intimate vibe. Wine was excellent and the food was just great!! There were six in our group and we polished off every morsel - the spring rolls and gyozas we had as starters and the amazingly fresh, flavoursome mains. An explosion of taste in every bite. I was glad it worked out so well since I’d chosen the place for the group based just on a recommendation. They certainly delivered and I’ll certainly be back!

Heerlijk eten. Mooi opgemaakt. Lekker spicy! De cocktails waren ook erg lekker. De muziek precies mijn smaak namelijk old skool funk en soul.

Eindelijk na Covid en nog een jaar wachten, vanuit Seville weer op d pont en wandelen naar Simon. Heerlijke Plek met bediening met een smile. Patatje Rendang, broodje Spreeuwenpark en heerlijke spekkoek….velen vaasjes en overwinning Ajax…kortom, top dag!

For the perfect neighbourhood feel. Kid's corner in the back, soulful music in the background, delicious beverages and tasty Asian cuisine. This is a place to stick around in the weekend, inviting friends over because you just don't feel like leaving and go home at the end of the day with a smile on your face, realizing that this was a perfect one.

Great place! Good food, selection of beers and really helpful and friendly staff. Definitely recommend. Prices a tiny bit high for the main course portions, but the quality is really good.

Very nice. Menu is a bit small, i think its mostly more snacks for the bar, but you still can eat there as a dinner. Great place.

Could very well be the best cafe for brunch I’ve ever been to. I loved everything about it - the aesthetic, the food, the coffee, the staff. It’s so effortlessly cool and a real gem away from the busy side of Amsterdam. If you’re reading this, it’s worth going out of your way to come here.

Leuk café met gezellige woonkamer, maar ga hier niet eten! Kaart ziet er leuk uit met diverse vegetarische gerechten. Ik had een mushroom burger en mijn vriend een gewone burger. Ik heb twee happen gegeten, maar het was echt niet te eten. Mijn burger was helemaal uitgedroogd en er zat een vreemde smaak aan. Toen ik dit tegen de bediening zei was haar vraag 'Is het niet goed of niet jouw smaak?'. Ik antwoordde dat het niet bedorven was maar toch zeker niet goed. Vervolgens liep ze semi-tevreden weg. De burger van mijn vriend was ook niet lekker, maar te eten. De patat was op te lage temperatuur gefrituurd. We hebben de volle mep betaald.

Het eten is echt van goede kwaliteit, kaart wel wat magertjes en bijv ‘salade Gado Gado’ kan meer gevuld voor het bedrag dat je ervoor moet betalen (geen aanrader). Rest van de gerechten erg smakelijk. Bediening van dit weekend erg ongeïnteresseerd, sloom aanwezig.

I'll start with the positive: Some of the best French fries I've ever had. Delicious. The rest was not good... First of all, the service was lacking. The staff was friendly but the service was almost non existent. The worst part was that it took 1 hour 20 mins to get our food. The place was packed and yet there was only 1 chef in the kitchen working all by himself. To make it worse, I watched the chef and he showed no urgency whatsoever and took his time making the food. He was completely oblivious to the fact that it was super busy and people were waiting way to long for their food. The food was just okay. The fries were terrific but the rest was really lacking flavor and taste. Everything was underseasoned. I don't think I would go back

Really tasty food & great service

Very tasty Asian fusion dishes and a good drinks selection with friendly service. The chicken pakoras were especially delicious! Nice interior and big terrace. Dog friendly.

La comida fue una gran sorpresa para nosotros. ¡Fue un poco elegante y algo realmente nuevo para nosotros! ¡Hay que probarlo! El dueño es super amable y simpático!
