Café Square '40-'45 in Slotermeer-Noordoost

We spent a couple of days in this area and can say that we were made very welcome here. Barman very friendly and of course his cat stole my heart 😻

I recently visited this cozy little café and had such a lovely experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the atmosphere feel warm and inviting from the moment I walked in. The snacks were absolutely delicious – freshly prepared and full of flavor. Whether you’re in the mood for something savory or sweet, there’s definitely something to satisfy your cravings. But what truly made my visit special was the café’s adorable resident cat, Gigi. She added such a unique and charming touch to the place. Watching her nap in the sun or curiously roam around made the whole experience even more delightful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good food, great service, and a bit of feline company!

During a weekend in Amsterdam, we found Café Plein 40-45 near our hotel. Friendly service and a perfect spot to grab a drink outside the hustle and bustle of the city center. Nice and quiet, relaxed, and I think there are many regulars who live nearby. A perfect spot to relax. There's a very sweet cat named Gigi, and as cat lovers, we decided to go there again the next day for a beer and some snacks, and to give Gigi a pet. The staff noticed we were crazy about Gigi and came to give her cuddles, so we received two portions of mini spring rolls on the house "on behalf of Gigi" ❤️😁 So incredibly sweet! We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again!

A beautiful café with a great ambience! The coffee was perfectly prepared and there was also beer (even a large selection of different beers). The staff was super friendly and attentive. An absolute insider tip in Amsterdam – I would love to come back!

Great atmosphere with a beautiful view. Respectfully protected us from pushy homeless people and gave us good beer recommendations.

I have been coming here for coffee with a senior group on Fridays for years after exercise + friendly service by Gina and her son + very hospitable + in addition to the traditional cookie, Gina always provides something extra with the coffee + Keep it up.

Can't rate much. Sat for 15 minutes without anyone coming. Everything is very unkempt there. Went back after 2 hours and left again. There was no one there to serve again. Not again

Been there a few times after shopping. But tonight there was a very unfriendly boy behind the bar. No service, no empathy, no manners and extremely self-righteous. Too bad, but if that is the level of the bar staff, you will never see me there again.

Friendly and approachable service. Felt respected as a foreigner. Definitely would go back and as a previous review said, the toasted sandwiches were great. On top of that, as an englishman, I can say they make a cracking cup of tea!

Ik vind het een topkroeg. Mijn man en ik komen er zelden, maar de uitbaatster weet precies wat we willen drinken. En ze is nog eens supervriendelijk bovendien. Werkelijk niets op aan te merken. En.....ze hebben er Duvel :-))
