Cafecito Coffeebar in Da Costabuurt

Nice coffee, very rude barista. I have contacted the company about the latter when visited the cafe via Instagram, yet there’s still no response from them (it’s been about 3-4 weeks).

It says on here that it opens at 7am it is closed right now

The two girls were too busy talking and laughing instead of welcoming and greeting customers, they were annoyed we wanted to order and didn't bother to show it, don't look at you in the eyes when talking, throw one word or max two to say something, no bye or have a good day, we even said it and they didn't reply, deplorable customer service, not all people there are tourists some of us speak Dutch and understand what you say to each other about the customers who want to order, the matcha latte was disgusting, the oat milk felt 100% rotten as if it was mixed with cow milk and left a bad taste in our mouth, first time in a Cafecito and def last time, unpleasant experience.

Unfortunately the service is not good the black hair lady with glasses did not even talk she was not in the mood to even say The coffee she put on the counter was for me. I will not be coming back!

Very poor service and arrogant staff. Today I ordered a latte from a lady with long black hair and glasses. She said absolutely nothing and just threw the coffee on the counter.. Totally unsuitable and I will not be coming back here.

Good coffee, but bad service. Very impersonal, even when no one else is in the shop. Not a hello is said back upon entry. When ordering, she looked completely the other way as if I wasn't even talking to her. Just a small effort, I imagine?

Cafecito Coffeebar is an absolute gem in Amsterdam. Everything here hits the mark. truly great coffee that is clearly made with care, incredibly welcoming service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Highly recommend to stop here for a cup of coffee, or take one with you!

I got matcha today. I ordered one with coconut milk, but I got one with regular milk. It tasted really gross. What have you changed?

Not impressed. Not sure why this cafe is on Coffee Trip Advisor. The coffee was bland and bland, the chocolate tasted like water. Drinks are served in paper cups, even if you sit inside. No water available.

For me coffee drinking refers to time slowing down, which is what exactly this place offers thanks to its tasty coffee and great location. Staff is also super friendly. Definitely worth trying.

Matcha white chocolate is delicious!

On Wednesday, 25 February around 13:00, the lady who was working there Fake scan to give me the Sparsaldo for cafecito loyalty. It seemed like she pretended to scan it. I’m very disappointed about this situation.

It may be a question of taste, but I have never had such delicious (double) cappuccino. On my way from work to action I took a coffee break at Nassaukade

This place serves only disposable cups, which is crazy waste and pollution... It's 2026 guys, do something about it.

Ines is the best employee at cafecito, I work at sixt and her energy and personality makes the full coffee experience even better! She should be a manager ;)

Unpleasant, cold welcome; no effort made to communicate. Absolutely terrible coffee, €3 per cup for a disgusting taste. A bad first experience in Amsterdam.

They waitress was pretty rude. She gave us cow milk when we asked for oat and milk when we asked about it said she doesn’t remember.

What a joke. You order a ‘batch brew’. They give you a poorover that isn’t even done by a so called ‘barista’, just some quick coffee machine for 5 euros. Same as Starbucks. Not coming back.

Really nice quality … but please do something against the Moskitos …

The matcha tastes incredibly weak; I absolutely cannot recommend it. The service from the girl didn't feel like service at all; I felt more like a burden. The shop itself looks beautiful, though. I can't comment on the coffee.

Amazing! I went today for two strawberry matcha drinks. I didn't have internet at my apartment, and the internet works perfectly! The staff are very friendly.

After my second sip of matcha, I had a blonde hair in my mouth, which came from the blonde woman who took my order. Absolutely disgusting, disgusting, and unprofessional!! They also didn't respond to my messages. No more Cafecito for me!!

The strawberry at the bottom of matcha latte tasted like a jam from the supermarket. I know other strawberry Matcha latte that uses a real house made strawberry syrup. Maybe just a coffee from the next time at Cafecito... The service was also not that friendly

Very, very tasty... we had cappuccino and matcha. Inside, it's very clean, minimalist, and elegantly decorated. There's plenty of seating, and the staff was friendly, too. We miss it and hope to return soon!

I thought the iced matcha strawberry with coconut milk was absolutely delicious! I find Cafecito a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth a visit every now and then!

I like to come here for coffee and their golden latte. The service is always nice and they make sure to prepare a good coffee for everyone in almost no time. 💛

Matcha literally tastes like powder, not properly whisked. Too stingy with flavor. I had to ask for less ice; my entire cup was literally filled to the brim with ice. The icing on the cake? The service was absolutely 0. The cashier was quite reluctant. Maybe invest less in your marketing/design and more in your service and staff.

There was an accident at the intersection in front of the business. I came to get a drink for the dizzy victim and didn't have to pay. The stress made me leave immediately. Thank you so much, you're the best!

I have been going to this cafe for more than a year now. Coffee tastes nice and it is especially convenient location to grab a cup before work. I always come in the cafe around its opening time - so actually there is always 1-2 customer (sometimes even no customer at all) at that hour. However, the service is extremely slow. Most of the female baristas are working fast, but there is one guy that works extremely slow. And when you are waiting for more than 15 minutes to order, (when he is making coffee for another customer) he doesn't even acknowledge you and says "sorry for the long wait". Either hire more people, or fix somehow this issue. I don't want to sound condescending, but for this early hours, when there is practically no customers, I expect to have a much quicker service. Other than that, other baristas are very friendly and fast, and the coffee is very nice :)

Awesome, don't miss their drip coffee and refreshing cold drinks like berry and others. They are excellent and very cheap.

What crappy service. The very blond girl who almost matched the interior was the most unpleasant unhelpful girl I’ve run into in a very long time. If you don’t like your job, quit.

The coffee was really tasty and the atmosphere cozy, but the service was understandably slow. Only one person was running the whole place making drinks, taking orders, and cleaning up. You could tell they were doing their best under pressure. It would really help to have more staff during busy hours!

I really liked their red velvet latte (using beetroot cacao) i could taste cardamom The cocoa latte was average abit powdery not very smooth. Friendly staff, place was clean.

The place is cute, but the coffee is served in a plastic cup. I ordered a flat white, which has a lot of coffee, and it didn't taste like coffee. Of course, not to return.

We came 20 minutes before closing and we were going to order 2 drinks. Unfortunately we had to leave because the employee still had to clean. I think you will have to adjust the opening hours!!!

We were looking for a café and happened upon Cafecito - an absolute stroke of luck! We immediately liked the minimalist but stylish furnishings. And the matcha was the best I drank in Amsterdam – simply a dream, 10 out of 10! Highly recommended!

The best branch for me is that the baristas know their job well. I tried from them a Colombian crop with a hint of grape. It was frankly universal, and the parking is opposite the café on the main street.

Cafecito has excellent coffee and congenial staff. They now have reusable ceramic cups which all café’s should offer but Cafecito doesn’t make a habit of offering them. There is a tendency of charging for add ons (milk) which most other café’s include with the price of the beverage.

Such a rude man serving. Worse manners I have ever felt to get a mediocre matcha too.

Excellent coffee, quality drink. The place has a nice vibe, minimalist and simple decoration, one of the best we tried in Amsterdam. The staff at the bar is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable.

Great interior and seating on multiple levels. The coffee is super delicious and the matcha is a 10/10 (especially the iced strawberry matcha is super delicious!). 100% recommendation.

I have been here a few times, each time the employees don’t seem happy at all they look at you with dead stare as if you are bottering them😭 Anyways i got my matcha & i asked how much would it be to add just one little scoop of strawberry, this man (owner) looks me dead in the eye & says € 1. We found Cafecito on our latest trip to Amsterdam. We just spent 3 days in Amsterdam but we loved the place and especially the coffee so much that we went there about 5 times in 3 days. Awesome service and awesome beverages.

Great coffee. But why on earth do you only have take away cups/plates? You have tables and chairs. Why not live up to your brand and give people proper cups too. Bizarre! (Even upon request ceramic cups are not available.)
