Space muffins for €10 had no effect, unfortunately. The muffins here taste exactly like the ones from the supermarket for €1. I think there's no THC in them and they believe we customers won't notice because we're already high and stoned from smoking weed. But it's a good coffee shop to chill in when there are seats available, and the cappuccino was okay too.

Excellent experience! The people were very friendly, and even though we didn't speak the language, they made sure we could understand each other, giving us peace of mind that everything was alright. Thank you to everyone at Popeye Coffeeshop. We'll be back!

I had the Stroopwafel Vegan muffin! Most reviews here say it's dry, but I've had it twice, and have experienced it as a moist muffin, not dry at all! It takes a while to kick in. In 1:30 hours you start to feel it, at hour 2 it really kicks in. The effects lasted until I fell asleep, so 6+ hours. Good high, good taste, friendly staff, nice accommodations. I recommend!!

We didnt get any food but we did get drinks and a pre rolled, the atmosphere were really nice and the staff super helpful. Would deffo go back next time we visit. Thank you

Went there because they had vegan edibles but it was soo not worth it. The muffin was dry and didn’t taste like much and it didn’t hit at all! Also if you go there they want every single person of the group to order something to drink plus they were really rude. We are tourists from Switzerland and since we‘ve already been in coffeeshops in Zurich where you can smoke weed and cigarettes inside we thought it would be allowed to smoke cigs as well. We obviously didn’t know that it was illegal to do that because cigarettes are legal in pretty much every country but weed isn’t and instead of just telling us that we’re not allowed to do that they straight up screamed at us aggressively which even made my sister cry, they didn’t even give us a second to turn it off and go outside. So if you want to be around nice people and have good edibles don’t go there!! Absolutely not worth it, there are way better coffeeshops in Amsterdam with much nicer people. The ambience wasn’t nice either, like there really are so much better coffeeshops around fr. How about putting a sign which shows that it’s not allowed btw? Could help since it’s not obvious to everyone. Or just say it in a normal tone, doesn’t cost you anything to be nice, especially to costumers.

Very good coffee shop if you're visiting Amsterdam. We were greeted by a lady (a brunette with a cap, sorry we don't have her first name), with whom we managed to have a laugh despite the language barrier. I recommend it 100%; their weed is very good and the welcome is royal. (The French couple with the muffin 😁)

Very unpleasant staff, the man made rude comments because we were looking for a weaker strain of cannabis. From the beginning he treated us like subordinates, his behavior strongly negatively affected the whole atmosphere of the place and our view of this establishment, even though the lady from the staff was nice and the weed was very high quality.

Cozy place but rude staff. They act like we're asking for favors and not paying for the service. Also the chocolate space muffin was super dry and not tasty at all.

Literally walked in the shop to have a look at the menu and was met with non stop hassle of if I needed help. Then in a sassy tone the guy behind the counter was asking again do I need help to which point we felt a awkwardness and force to leave while he rudely was saying bye to us as we leave. Was a joke not the way to treat people who are just looking at your menu being rushed, pathetic person and representation of the shop would not recommend

Cute little stop on the Amsterdam coffeeshop circuit. It’s not the flashiest spot, and yeah, the weed prices and prerolls could be better, but honestly? On a packed day when every other place was shoulder to shoulder, we actually found a seat here, which was a huge win 🥇 The vibe is super relaxed with cool lighting and trippy wall art that definitely adds to the atmosphere. The music wasn’t blasting, which made it easy to chill, talk, or just zone out. They’ve got a nice fridge stocked with drinks and snacks. Pro tip: the strawberry juice 🥤🍓 is surprisingly solid sweet, refreshing, and hit different after a twister joint. If you're looking for a laid back coffeeshop without the chaos, Popeye’s is a safe bet. It may not be your go to for top shelf bud deals, but it’s got a chill seat, good drinks, and a vibe that makes you want to stay a while

Try the vegan space cakes. Some of the best I have had in years.

The place is nice. We just wanted to hang out there for a while before leaving, to do something other than weed, because we'd already smoked a lot and still had some left on us. Unfortunately, a woman told us it wasn't possible, which is a bit of a shame, especially when you know how coffee shops work. In theory, you shouldn't turn away customers who just want a drink. But hey, it's not a big deal: we went elsewhere, and in the end, we even got something extra there. Otherwise, there were quite a few choices, and the place was still cool. I just wish I could have stayed a little longer, really.

Not to be missed if you come to Amsterdam

Male host is unfriendly and rude.

We brought the gluten free blueberry muffins as my friend is coeliac. The muffin itself was really tasty and relatively moist, however it was advertised as being made with a sativa strain. All this muffin did was make me knackered so I couldn’t even stay awake and had to go home to bed…. which is the opposite to being told it will invigorates and gives us a buzz. Our family also brought the muffin with gluten and the same thing happened to them. Would not recommend…

Good location, the coffeeshop has enough seats inside that are relatively comfy (the chairs could have bolstering and better arm rests). Decent selection, the only shame there is no decaffeinated coffee on the menu and that you do not get glass when you buy bottled water. The customer service is ok.

This is the only place that sells vegan muffins and they taste nice. The texture is a bit dry, but everything else is spot on. The staff is very welcoming and polite. Please, never stop producing vegan muffins! 🥹

Good time, less intense than we expected but it was enjoyable

I went to Popeye for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised. You take your time with the customer here, you can examine the weed before you buy it and then make a decision. Only then is it freshly packaged. The taste is really very good. It certainly wasn't the last time there.

The atmosphere is quite relaxed for a coffee shop. Several tables with various seating options. It wasn't too busy on a weekday evening. Highly recommended!

Tried several strains from here staff were good shop was decent for chilling but unfortunately the bud was over priced and of bad to medium quality better products in the area so try those first

It was a very good place, we loved it.

The edibles has really low quality . Me and my husband bought two muffins. He a lemon one, and I blueberry. After 2 hours his high really kicked in, and I did not feel a thing. He was basically gone for three hours while I waited a total of five hours to feel something. We went back the next day, I told them about my experience, and they told me I lied. They also said we should try the cookies because they were stronger. We bought two, and these did not work for any of us. So 75% of the edibles that we bought did not work. We will never go back.

One of my favourite coffeeshops in the city, relaxing and chill atmosphere and the staff is very friendly, the girls that are serving are really lovely! Vistited almost everyday for a "short" break and they also do delicious gluten free edibles. On my last day my cappuccino was on the house, thank you so much guys! I will be back for sure!

Whenever I'm in Amsterdam, I stop by. You can read a book and smoke a joint there in peace. Either upstairs or downstairs in the basement :)

We arrive, we don't calculate, we ask if we can have a drink, we are told that we are not used to seeing people like us and that we can only drink something if everyone consumes cannabis.

Me and my friends went to this coffee shop on our second night. Was greeted by a lovely gentleman who served us. His personality was great and made our day. We then came back to the shop the next day. Unfortunately our experience was very different. My friend needed to use the toilet and was looking around for staff members. He couldn’t see any and thought it would be ok to pop to the toilet and come back. Have done this in other coffee shops and they have not minded. We all came again to buy more products and sit down if there were seats. A staff member then proceeded to shout at my friend calling him back. She shouted “ oi mate “ my friend then come back up and was very apologetic explaining he really needed the toilet. After saying sorry numerous times, the staff member didn’t want to hear it and kept on at him. We understand this can be considered rude and really meant no harm. All the other customers were looking at her shouting at our friend. We then waited in line to be served and when it was our turn. The staff member was very sarcastic and passive aggressive. She then proceeded to ask another friend if she was recording. She was not and was only on her phone. The staff member didn’t even say sorry for accusing her of recording. We bought our products and left. It really made us disappointed as we had such a lovely time the day before. We know us “ tourists “ can make mistakes. But there was absolutely no need for that staff member to shout the way she did.

The female bartender (Shift in 19.11.) was not interested in us. Instead of answering my questions fully she just answered one worded and was staring into the TV or talking to her workmate the whole time. Hash is okay but I did not feel welcomed by that person.

Gluten Free Muffins available! Volcano machine in the shop, great range of products and the Lady that runs the shop is awesome! High energy, bubbly and willing to take time to help you find the right product! Will definitely be coming back!

Called in here as I was told the cookies were amazing. They had chocolate and vanilla available and both were very nice. I also tried the blueberry muffin which was really fresh.

We were playing cards and then the lady comes to us and said we should finish the game but can't continue playing afterwards because it's forbidden. We bought weed, bought drinks and then something like that? Insolence. Never experienced such a thing in any shop. We would have liked to buy a few more grams, but that way you only scare away customers willing to buy

Lovely place with a great atmosphere. Love the reggae vibes. The lady behind the counter was extremely helpful, informative and made me feel right at home. I didn’t try the food but the guy sat in the opposite corner looked like he was enjoying the s#%t out of the sandwich he was eating.
