Wonderful service, great cinnamon croissants, and open early

Breakfast in Amsterdam didn't disappoint. A well-made cappuccino, delicious chocolate cake, and reasonable prices. All in a typically Dutch setting, a place frequented by locals. Recommended.

The service was impeccable. The young man was smiling and very friendly! The hot chocolates and cakes were delicious. The atmosphere in this café is relaxing.

Delicious coffee and nice atmosphere

Incredible coffee shop amidst a sea of coffee shops. Plenty of seating inside and out. Lovely atmosphere with a variety of newspapers to read. Food and drink were top. Service was incredibly friendly and fast.

June 2025, Long time fan of this chain. One of the first in Amsterdam and they still exists. Their quality of koffie is so constant - really a true performance. Buscaglione is a long time supplier and I can understand why. Not the cheapest, but you at least taste coffee with your cappuccino. Pastries depending on delivery I guess, sometime a full pastry case sometimes empty. Only one working was the barista, lady behind the cash desk was constantly talking to a friend passing by and blocking (and irritating the barista) the counter where coffees are handed over. Closing the 'back door' is not a smart move for routing. Remains good ;-)

Really bad service and average koffee

Used to love this spot but my coffees yday and today were not it

Tables can be a bit cleaner and I don’t understand why there is no service at the tables. Sandwiches are good and beverages are also as expected.

Espresso quality really bad. Actually I should have returned it on the spot. No crema and like it had been spouted through with too much pressure. Maybe an unlucky accident or new barista. I might try again some other time to see if I was just unlucky.

Nice cafe, but you have balls if you dare to ask for a tip when you have to order at the bar and also pick it up!

This looks like a decent coffee spot however it doesn’t offer Wifi so I didn’t stay. Removing Wifi is one option when dealing with laptop users but it isn’t a great option when everybody else is punished. This policy needs to be rethought.

Very nice coffee, friendly people, good croissant

It's always full, the coffee is delicious, and the desserts are good. There are actually quite a few seats inside and outside, but there are just too many people. They are kind to pets, and they also prepare biscuits for dogs🍪, which I think is very considerate.

Excellent coffees and cocooning atmosphere

The quality of coffee is really bad and the banana bread was very dry. Honestly, a regret spending my money on such quality.

Coffee was great! Had a hard time finding a good Latte/Flat White etc on our last leg in Paris so was much needed to find a good one to start our mornings

Beautiful tent with stained glass windows. Coffee and chai were unfortunately not very tasty. The lemon tart, on the other hand, was delicious.

Quite cozy and nice place but nothing special. A great place to have a coffee and read a book. The terrace outside is clean and has enough space. No laptops allowed on the weekends.

The coffee was ok. It was nice that you could order in Dutch. The location looks chic due to beautiful stained glass. A pity is that you pay before you have had anything and you are immediately asked for a tip (you can enter it on a screen). You will then receive a message that you must keep an eye on when the order is on the counter and you must then pick it up yourself. Mediocre service, especially because there were few guests.

Favorite coffee shop in Amsterdam

This sweet cafe, located in the west part of Amsterdam, is very convenient for you to take your computer and work. The interior decoration of the cafe is beautiful and different. There are areas where individual seating can be provided in the form of a bar, and there are also outdoor seating areas. I can say that their coffee was average in taste. It's not very crowded on weekdays.

We were in the establishment with a group. Everyone took a cup of coffee: cappuccino, latte, ice latte. The coffee is simply terrible, the beans are burnt, bitter, impossible to drink. The cappuccino felt like boiling water, although the temperature should be about 65 degrees to even hold the glass properly in your hand. I took off a star for the service, since we arrived 20 minutes before closing and they didn’t want to make us coffee inside, just a take away cup, but it depends on the establishment, this is our rating. I recommend that the owner change the beans or the coffee recipe

Delicious coffee and great cakes

They don't sell many things but keep the menu simple and yummy. Quiet, chilled and comfortably relaxed, always busy but not crowded. Dog friendly, too and the dogs are so very well behaved. Open early and personally, cinnamon croissant with a mint tea was the best combination!

Came here for a break in our day and wasn't disappointed! The best coffee we've had in our 4 day stay in Amsterdam. Super relaxed atmosphere and the women working were very polite, even with us being Americans

Carrot cake was not good, chocolate cookie and oat latte were tasty. You can’t open your laptops in the weekends, that’s a bit bummer.

Odlična kava I kroasani u ugodnom i uređenom kafiću.

Ambijent je opuštajući i ugodan, savršen za opuštanje uz šalicu odlične kave. Osoblje je izuzetno ljubazno i susretljivo, uvijek spremno preporučiti najbolju opciju za svaki ukus. Njihova ponuda kave je impresivna, a kolači su pravo malo remek djelo.

Kava je odlična. Lijepo je sjesti vani na suncu. Osoblje je vrlo ljubazno. Atmosfera je jako ugodna.

The pastries and coffee at Coffee lounge are absolutely divine. They are always fresh and prepared to perfection.

One of few places in Amsterdam for decent coffee Edited: after going there many times got a different opinion: the coffee is not always good: sometimes too milky other times burnt. I don’t recommend getting anything from the display window as almost each time there were huge flies munching on their pastries. Also, the price for the coffee is too high for the amount of failed coffees. I don’t go there anymore, though the atmosphere and interior is very nice.

Savršena pita od jabuka! Moje iskrene preporuke za pitu, jako jako ukusno. Kava je bila odlična, a atmosfera jako ugodna. Svira lagana glazbica koja ne smeta ga priču. Nemate dojam gužve iako je pino ljudi, nema buke a posluga je brza.

This is perhaps my favourite coffee corner in Amsterdam. Nice sunny seating outside, cozy inside. The coffee is very good and the place is un pretentious. It opens early , which makes it ideal for a quick stop on the way to work when I run out of coffee at home.

Miejsce godne polecenia na szybką kawę i rogala. Trzeba się liczyć z tym, że będzie trudno z miejscem do siedzenia (ponieważ zwykle jest tu sporo osób pracujących przy kompie), to można chwycić kubeczek z kawą do ręki i ruszyć w miasto.
