Cafetaria Zuiderburen in Hempens/Teerns & Zuiderburen

Here is my two-part experience at this cafeteria Is this almost certainly the worst snack bar in Leeuwarden? I wanted to give this cafeteria a chance for more than 4 months after 2 very bad experiences. Email contact for a response with R from this establishment was not taken entirely seriously. My advice: Definitely do not have lunch here. The quality of the food is poor and very greasy. Even after a second visit, once you have already told them. This shouldn't be allowed. So, a solid 1 star. Go ahead and do another comparison, and I’ll be happy to let you know.

Bad business. Orders often don't go through properly and they go far over the estimated time.

Food didn't arrive, order cancelled.. truly, a peculiar little place

Grandson received his order after forty-five minutes; once home, cold, hard fries, a croquette that fell apart, and all the snacks lukewarm, so we won't be ordering from here again.

Ordered food via the website because I was told by phone that there was no other way, specified a time, and then still had to wait an extra 20 minutes. What was supposed to be a quick bite was delayed by 40 minutes in total. A disaster.

Very dirty unfortunately; the floor is simply slippery from the layer of grease on it. Perhaps the extraction system is faulty? The tables are also messy with half-empty containers of fries left behind, while the staff had nothing to do.

A very nice snack bar where we, the colleagues from Hunebouw, are always warmly welcomed.

Want to order something at half past seven? It's gone by then, or something's broken. They say the ice cream machine is broken, even though they didn't even see him cleaning it. Just too lazy to make a few ice creams.

Friendly, but the quantity of fries has been decimated these days. However, they charge a premium price. Fries are often re-fried, chunks, and cold snacks. Value for money is no longer available. A shame.

A big thumbs up to the staff; the food tastes even better with those smiles on their faces! Keep taking good care of them :)

We ordered something with work again after a long time. Before, there was always something missing in the bag, but it was always neatly resolved. Not this time. We got a fortune in food, because the prices were extreme, but hey, we don't do Snack Friday that often anymore, but again, snacks were forgotten.. and when you call, there was no solution.. only that you have to pick them up yourself. And the fries, cold and far too few, yet they charged an exorbitant price. . This was really the very last time for us..

Since the snack bar has a new owner, there's thankfully been a significant improvement! They're now even open on Mondays, which is great. Friendly staff, clean grub for both fries and snacks. Wait times are very reasonable, and it's easily and safely accessible, even in the snow. 😀 Keep up the good work!

I come here regularly; the fries and standard snacks are always good. And the peanut sauce is the tastiest.

I got snacks there for the first time yesterday, and I was very disappointed, especially the hamburger bun—it was so cheap with little sauce and onion, and I paid €5.25 for it. The peanut sauce was lumpy. All in all, an expensive snack bar. I won't be back.

Just put on your website that you are closed for holidays, have a nice holiday!

Demi prepared delicious fries for us with lots of sauce, delicious

A very disappointing experience. The product completely failed to meet expectations, and the quality left much to be desired. It arrived damaged, and customer service responded slowly and unfriendly. After several attempts to contact me, I received no clear solution or compensation. I had hoped for better service, but I felt completely ignored. The value for money is also poor. For this price, you expect at least a decent product and decent support. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. I absolutely do not recommend this and will not order from them again. And the staff were unfriendly and very discriminatory.

I stopped by here to grab a drink during my walk. Four ladies behind the counter and no one said anything. After waiting a few minutes, I started to get a bit irritated. Still, no one had come by who had said anything at all. Then a man walked into the shop. He was greeted and served immediately. I was, to put it mildly, quite surprised. Next, an employee looked my way and asked if I was being served yet. Well, no, I said. I asked for a bottle of drink and another employee said, "Oh, sorry, I thought you were already being served." Uh, no, I've been standing here for a while. Well, sorry, that was it. Maybe you could hire employees who are a bit more customer-friendly and who notice when someone walks into the shop. Not saying hello when you enter struck me the previous times as well. With my last order, it turned out to be incorrect. The time before that, most of it was cold. I didn't say anything about it then, but after this experience, I'm done with it. I won't be coming to this place again.

Yesterday we ordered fries and snacks online to pick up. After a day out, we were able to pick them up on our way home. When I arrived, they asked my name, checked my current orders, and told me they were working on it. After a while, I asked if it would take much longer; they said it was almost ready. Then it took quite a while longer, and they went looking for the note with my order. It was suddenly gone! They hadn't even started on my order yet. Meanwhile, my husband and children had been waiting in the car for almost half an hour. We asked for our money back. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time this had gone wrong; we won't be back.

I'll never order anything here again. The shawarma was rock hard. And for the price, it was way too little. This place is very expensive in everything. They won't see us again.

The fries are tough and tasteless; they could be better off investing in them. The staff is friendly, though. I'll go to a different snack bar from now on, even though it's much further from my house.

Decent food! The price of neighborhood delivery is really high for such a short distance. Especially if it takes a while too. Oh, and you can't order by phone! They refer you to the website (which isn't always the most convenient for the customer).

More than enough food, large portions and good quality, and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, the fries were very soft and on the edge of overcooked. As if it had only been next to the chip shop for a while. This was inedible.

Firstly, I had to wait an extra 25 minutes for my order. Everything was cold, fries were full of fat and rock hard. Then a croquette without filling. Very unfortunate and very bad

Service was great, atmosphere wasn't good either, because I will order a milkshake, machine didn't start up, okay, that can happen, but the ice cream... the crust was bad, when we just left the cafeteria it was already broken.

No complaints about the food, wanted to get something on liberation day. According to the site, open until 8 a.m., but you will be told that you will have to wait another 6 minutes in the store. No sir, we close at 7 o'clock, it was 5 past 7. You can no longer order, it is written on the door, which is open and therefore cannot be seen. So service of nothing. Been coming here for years, now ordered from Double F, it was also good and delivered quickly, that was the Zuiderburen snack bar.

Ate here while passing through. Friendly service and food was good. Large portion of fries and enough sauce/onions on the special. Snack was also very tasty. In short, a great cafeteria.

Forgot the peanut bear bite twice (paid 2 x 4 euros), easy money to earn! We will go to another snack bar from now on!

lekker man, wel een beetje duur

Koude patat, iedere bestelling ontbreekt er wel wat of is het verkeerde geleverd.

Ben altijd heel tevreden hier, lekker eten en vriendelijk personeel! Ik kom zeker terug voor een patatje speciaal :)

Vlotte babbel, veel saus, leuke stripboekjes en voor de kinderen werden er kleurplaten neergelegd. Zeker een aanrader hier kom ik nog eens!

Bestelling incompleet verder was het eten goed

Lekkere friet, vriendelijke bediening. Toppers! Ik was mijn tas vergeten, ze hebben hem voor mij gevonden en bewaard!

Lekker frietje met broodjes hamburger en joppie burger.

Altijd snel geholpen en prima kwaliteit. Respect voor de dames achter de balie 👍

Goede moderne snackbar! Leuk personeel, snel geholpen en goed gemaakte snacks. Ze hebben hier raspatat. Aannrader.

Heerlijke patat en goede service.

Patat viel tegen, leek deels wel oude patat. Het eten was nu wel goed warm, ook een paar keer gehad dat een kroket koud was van binnen. Er zat geen saus bij de berehap, de bamischijf was dit keer erg vet, zat ook een scheurtje in, waarschijnlijk daardoor frituurvet in gekomen. Ze hadden een briefje bij de bestelling toegevoegd waarop oa stond dat je bij een bestelling in maart een blikje cola krijgt, niks ontvangen. Erg jammer weer!

Twee keer besteld in het weekend, paar maanden er tussen, beide keren een teleurstelling. Patat droog/aparte structuur en smaakt niet lekker. Eerste keer was de patat bijna koud, tweede keer wel warm. Broodje hamburger is ook echt alleen een hamburger op een broodje; geen enkele aankleding van sla of ui, dat doen andere cafetaria's anders. Ook broodje groentekroket besteld voor de kinderen. Beide broodjes zijn gewoon witte puntjes die heel slap worden met iets warms en gefrituurds er tussen. Eigenlijk ongeschikt voor dit doel. Veel cafetaria's gebruiken stevigere broodjes of doen ze tussen een grill zodat ze wat knapperig zijn. Voor deze prijs verwacht je echt een betere kwaliteit.

Frietsaus is hier net zo lekker als de mayonaise

Nette cafetaria met lekkere snacks, aardig personeel en veel zitplaatsen. Gratis parkeren.

Ziet er super uit! Ruime keuze uit lekkere snacks en het softijs is overheerlijk!
