A small, cozy pizzeria with genuinely friendly and attentive staff. The prices are absolutely fair for Amsterdam standards, and the food is solid and tasty. The pizza was good, and the salad was perfectly fine as well. While the portion was rather small and no bread was served, the price was correspondingly reasonable. Overall, an uncomplicated, welcoming place that definitely has the potential to be great. The friendly staff and the fair price-performance ratio were particularly noteworthy. I'd gladly come back!

After much deliberation in Amsterdam, we randomly chose this restaurant and it was delicious. Pasta with spinach and Margherita pizza are highly recommended. We'd gladly go back anytime.

The food was delicious — especially the Prosciutto Bruschetta and the phenomenal lasagna. A huge thank you to Charly and Khaled for their excellent service, full of energy and good humor. They made our evening even more special. We can't wait to go back!"

We had a great and quick meal. The kitchen closes at 11:00 PM. The best part was the atmosphere created by the waiters, especially Alejandro, a charming and incredibly friendly guy who gave us excellent service. It's always a pleasure to meet people with such a positive attitude.

Extremely expensive half a plate of pasta for €18… bland pizza… the parmesan tasted like lead. They keep trying to sell you bottles of water and charge €7.50 each – it's highway robbery! Avoid this place!

I don't immediately go out for lunch or dinner on my street, because over 80% of the hospitality business owners are purely focused on cheap and tourist-oriented food and offerings. But at Caffe Italia Amsterdam, it is different. Almost always busy, it is a place frequented by residents and Amsterdammers alike, where you can sit comfortably and enjoy beautiful Italian classics. Beautiful decor and a very friendly welcome. I, too, was warmly welcomed on this special day, "Hearts Day on the Zeedijk." A cheerful chef and a lively, attentive young host. Pizza was my choice, as it was repeatedly recommended to me by people from the neighborhood. It was a "Puttanesca" pizza. Very tasty and with a nice, slightly crispy crust. Highly recommended for visiting this part of Amsterdam amidst the onslaught of all the tourist offerings.

Very disappointed. I came to eat on the evening of July 25th, and the waiter stepped on my shoes three times… Every time we asked for information, we felt like we were exasperating the staff. I do not recommend this place. And the price is €7.50 for water! We asked to top up our phone with a charger in front of us, but the answer was no, and we had to pay extra for the syrup in the cocktail, which barely had any…

Honestly, it's ridiculously expensive! We paid €80 for two people for pasta that wasn't even worth €10, and a bottle of water was €8. Seriously, don't go there! And the service? Don't even get me started. The waiters are awful! Honestly, McDonald's would have been a better option.

We were warmly welcomed here late in the evening by the most lovely hostess Sadia (😉) when most other places were closing. We had a well-made medium rare steak with a delicious mushroom sauce and a savory truffle spaghetti with Parmesan cheese. The very friendly staff and cozy setting kept the mood nice and warm throughout. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience and I'll definitely be returning here sometime.

Absolutely beautiful authentic food in the place. A sleeping ginger cat under the bar, and a lovely hostess. Tucked down an alley and hidden, but an absolute must visit.

I went here for dinner with my boyfriend during an outing in Amsterdam. It wasn't crowded and was very cozy. The service was also very friendly and fast! Although the music was sometimes a bit loud, there was also a cat roaming around the restaurant that really improved the atmosphere :) The food was ready quickly, not very expensive, simple, and tasty. Definitely recommended!

A very nice and idyllic restaurant. The owners seem to be real Italians. The food was absolutely delicious. The pizza (El Mare) was perfect, the crust wasn't too hard or dry, and it had plenty of toppings. The chicken was tender and delicious. Unfortunately, there was no side dish with the chicken; it costs extra. Definitely recommended!
