CAI&CAI SUSHI ALL YOU CAN EAT AMSTERDAM in Oostelijk Havengebied

We had a fantastic meal here last Friday! Delicious, fresh sushi, friendly and fast service, and above all, innovative and varied choices. It was our first time at Cai Cai, but definitely not the last. The interior and the aquarium (animal welfare) could use a refresh, but that's not the main reason to go to a restaurant... ;-)

An amazing variety of food which meant that 3 people with very different food needs were all able to enjoy a shared meal. The staff were very understanding of the special requests one member of our group asked for to adapt things to their needs. As soon as we sat down they brought a fan and set it by the table to ensure we didn't get too hot. The ordering system by phone was easy to use and the food was delicious.

Yummy sushi and other stuff. Sesame allergy friendly (every allergen is marked). Take-out menu and sitting menu is different. We always order take-out but we would also love to try eating there.

So good, we came back the next day! We visited Cai & Cai Asian Fusion Food for the first time yesterday — and it was so impressive that we came back again today. That alone should tell you how exceptional the food and experience are here. Three dishes in particular truly stood out: • The fish carpaccio – incredibly fresh, delicately sliced, and beautifully seasoned. • The salmon and mango sushi – a perfect balance of fruity sweetness and rich, tender fish. • The salmon truffle sushi – creamy, aromatic, and absolutely unforgettable. The service was excellent on both visits: friendly, fast, and very attentive. Ordering via QR code was smooth, and the atmosphere is modern and welcoming. One of the best all-you-can-eat sushi spots we’ve experienced in Amsterdam — we’ll definitely be back again!

Food was very tasty and came quickly, but there were only 3 tables in total on a very quiet weekday. Music in the restaurant could be turned up a bit to create more atmosphere. They sometimes clean the fish aquarium and the plants in the restaurant also looked dead and dry and needed to be replaced...

This restaurant is highly recommended for Chinese food lovers. The service is fast and friendly, so you never have to wait long. The dishes are fresh, well seasoned and full of flavor, with luxurious portions for a fair price. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the attentive staff completes the experience. I will definitely come back here!

The sushi in the name is a little confusing. All common Asian dishes are also available here. We ate all you can eat, even if things are a little different than usual here. You can order 5 rounds of 5 dishes per person. Although it is always more of a trial portion. At the beginning you think that 5 rounds with 5 dishes will never be enough to fill you up, but from round 3 the fight to eat begins. From round 4 onwards it becomes difficult and round 5 is actually impossible. Quality was wonderful and this round principle allows you to try lots of great things. The selection is great. Prices are normal in Amsterdam but not cheap either. If you are in the area you can have a wonderful dinner here. By the way, a la carte is also possible and all you can eat is not a requirement.

This is our favorite all you can eat sushi! The specials here are really different than others. Every bite is a pleasure. The service is also always friendly and fast. Small point for improvement: some sushi could be a little smaller.

Unfortunately, this place is one time only. Nothing to go back for. Nothing special, sorry. And be careful with the rules: you cant take food away if you could not finish it. And you will also pay a small fee if you did not finish your food. So do not order too much or finish it before asking for a bill. We did not order too much, but just could not finish two last items. Disappointed.

It's already our go-to place for sushi buffet with friends, great selection and tasty and very kind people. I also like the traditional style 👌🏼

€45 for mid food. Miso soup and udon were really not edible. One of our sushi pieces came empty - please see attached image. This place would be acceptable if the service wasn’t below mid as well. No one came to our table to ask how we were doing or how the food was tasting (probably because they knew it wasn’t tasting good).

I think one of the best all you can eat restaurants in the city! Great, quality food with a big variety, compared to other restaurants of the same type it was a super chill and peaceful vibe with traditional interior and music. Loved it, the service was super nice and fast as well. Will be back for sure!

We are very surprised by the relatively high reviews. The food is not fresh at all, the meat is tough and there is no atmosphere at all (on a Friday evening). The staff is friendly and helpful, but that's about it. Totally NOT recommended for a nice and fun Friday evening.

If you want to organize an outing for your mother-in-law that you want to get rid of, this is the right place! The food is all fried, the service is downright rude and the restaurant looks like nothing has been done in years. In addition, the Asian owner of the restaurant is extremely rude. Unfortunately. I had seen both the good and bad reviews here, and because someone I know recommended this restaurant to me, I decided to give it a try. The food itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about either. Not everything tasted fresh. I only ate the vegetarian dishes, but heard from others that the fish dishes tasted fresher than the vegetables. Only the sesame balls were really better than expected. Afterwards, two people from our group, including me, had severe nausea with stabbing pain, vomiting and diarrhea. Since we only met that night, it must have been something that was served to us. That was not a pleasant experience and I'm afraid I won't come back here again. By the way, friendly staff.

Ate here via Social Deal. Cosy, small-scale restaurant with friendly staff. Food was delicious, you have a lot of choice. Price-quality ratio is good. Background music was completely to my taste, so that made the experience fun!

Upon entering we thought it had a funny old skool Chinese look, it was that way before or still is, not sure. Service is very nice! The sushi is good, we like sushi with toppings and Cai and Cai offers that as you see in the photos. Didn't really try hot dishes, but that's probably fine too. It's not expensive for what you get, I better quality than an ayce sushi chain. Paid parking on the street, restaurant is in a residential area.

Sushi was really deliciouskkk. Very friendly staff and in a nice quiet location.

Although the sushi was decent, it was disappointing compared to the photos on the menu. The fried dishes were very greasy and drenched in oil, and excessive mayonnaise was used. In addition, it took a long time before the dishes were served. The pistachio ice cream was a disappointment; the taste barely resembled pistachio. Moreover, the edamame beans were old and over-cooked.

Mito used to be here. The quality of Cai&Cai's food does not match that of Mito. The warmer dishes in particular are a disappointment. Rarely have I had such a bad satay ajam. The satay didn't taste like peanut sauce at all. It was unclear to us where. Quite expensive in relation to the quality. Not recommended.

Ate twice now. The sushi is better for an all you can eat restaurant than I expected on my first visit. It's a shame that you are still in the old interior of a Chinese who used to live in this same building.

In search for an all you can eat sushi, we found this place. A Chinese restaurant that turned into a sushi place, but with very good sushi and other dishes! We are not a big fan of all you can eat places, but we’re pleasantly surprised by this neat restaurant and will definitely come back for some more rounds!

Hard to understand the server and the process.

Restaurant is small but cozy. The music was forgotten for the first hour, which makes the atmosphere different because you sit on top of each other. The food is tasty, they have some additions to the 'standard' sushi menu. What's a shame is that you can order on 1 phone. The first round went smoothly, the 2nd and 3rd took an average of 45 minutes before anything was brought to the table. And we were only allowed to get half. When this was indicated, we had to place a new order, but half of these did not arrive either. Very annoying and finally we were completely done with it. We received an apology, but for us too little too late, in my opinion you should not wait for customers to complain but take action or offer something else. It did create contact between customers, complaints were made on both sides, which resulted in a nice conversation.

We were completely surprised. Ended up here via Social Deal. We all really enjoyed it. Good food, you will find creativity and pleasant service. We will definitely come back here.

What a wonderful experience! This nice restaurant with an 80s Chinese interior is a bit hidden. We stayed at the Inntel Amsterdam Landmark hotel and it was easy to walk to (approx. 15 minutes). Truly the tastiest sushi ever!!! Lots of choice and everything was equally tasty. Super fresh, warm and a great taste! Top 👍👍👍

Nice restaurant with the interior of an "old-fashioned Chinese restaurant" but is an all you can eat restaurant with many choices. You can order your dishes by scanning a QR code and you have 5 rounds in which you can order a maximum of 5 dishes. Drinks are not included. The quality of the food is excellent, we ate different dishes and everything was equally tasty. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. In short, highly recommended!

Some dishes arrived quite cold. Also not everything was freshly prepared. Otherwise very good, friendly and fast service. Still a nice meal.

The sushi is such poor quality and they don't have a good selection. There tuna role tastes like can tuna. There cooked dishes are really small and not great tasting. There steamed dumplings are terrible. There miso was really weak tasting. The edamame was old and soft. Then they try and hustle you for a buying a drink and say that you have too when it says nothing about that in the rules. There salmon poke bowl and really soft edamame and they put corn in it which is not good. The only I likes was the tiny creme brulee and ice cream. I don't understand why people give so many 5 star reviews. Also there food looks completely different to what I got. The salmon I got was no where near the same or thickness. Also you are forced to eat everything because if you don't they will charge you more. I was sick all night because of this food.

Dit restaurant was zoo veel beter dan verwacht! Vond deze parel op social deal en het eten was echt zoo veel beter dan de gemiddelde all you can eat! Service was ook bovengemiddeld en super klantvriendelijk. Ik kom hier zekerweten nog een keer eten!!

Heerlijk eten. De bediening is super vriendelijk en het eten is er snel. Op de kaart veel verschillende dingen en ook niet standaard gerechtjes. Bij mij is is de Peking duck pancake favoriet. Maar ook de Rib Eye- Pinklady- en Shrimp a rock- uramaki zijn heerlijk. Zo veel lekkers dat het eigenlijk moeilijk is om echt een favoriet te kiezen. :-)

We found this restaurant via a Social Deal and we were pleasantly surprised! This place truly is a hidden gem. The place gives the impression of a Classical Chinese restaurant that has adapted to the all you can eat concept. This results in very high quality side dishes and stir fried food, combined with delicious sushi. All the dishes we’ve ordered were of high quality and tasted amazing. The sushi was fresh and delicious and beautifully plated. The service was great and the dishes came to our table quickly after ordering, while being piping hot. We will definitely come back to Cai&Cai and recommend this place to everyone!

Fantastic all you can eat! Normally sushi restaurants that offer this service have a small variety of dishes. This restaurant offers plenty of options - sorry, I was so excited that I didn’t take more pictures . The sushi is the specialty and it’s super fresh. Additionally the price is fair even if the location is overall pretty central. I have already made a new reservation and absolutely recommend!

Geen all you can eat. Je krijgt alleen maar 5 rondes en de porties zijn klein bvb je krijgt 2 stuks sushi per bord. Er was maar 1 medewerker die de kassa en serveren doet. Die was wel vriendelijk, maar het duurde te lang voordat de gerechten gemaakt werden. Via social deals hieraan gekomen, waarbij niks over de aantal rondes (max 5) vermeld wordt.

Super goede service en heerlijke sushi, veel variatie! De caicai uramaki was mijn favoriet. Ook leuk dat ze meer dessert soorten hebben dan andere all you can eat plekken. Pandan spekkoek en creme brûlée was ook lekker. Ik kom zeker terug! Een tip: meer sfeer creëren in het restaurant, graag muziek harder zetten:)

Super leuke tijd gehad hier! Heerlijk eten en de service was fantastisch. Wij hadden een jarige bij, maar helaas waren de verjaardags vuurwerkjes op. Toen hebben ze geïmproviseerd en een waxine lichtje in een cakeje gedaan! Het was super lief en we hebben er erg van genoten.
